Dave & Buster's - Overland Park

First time at this location and I love it😍! We were greeted🤗 at the door and seated🪑 immediately. Our waitress was the nicest person ever☺️. Our food was out to the table so fast we couldn't believe it 😀! The food was delicious 😋 and picture perfect as usual for Dave and Buster's 😁!!! That's a claim to fame that not all restaurants can live up to!

Came to this location to celebrate my daughters birthday. It was just the three of us (daughter, son and myself). I purchased a pkg containing 900 points and it was more than enough for them to have a GREAT time! The atmosphere was loud and exciting enough to keep them entertained for almost 3 hours.

I just dropped by to have lunch. The food was good (I had a "plant substitute" burger and truffle fries), but not amazing. The sandwich was a little small. My server was very friendly and attentive. The loud music and sounds from the game room killed the "ambiance" for eating. After lunch, I walked through the game room and, had I had time, would have really enjoyed playing. Lots of cool games.

Best 9yr mommy-son birthday date EVER! We only stayed about 30 minutes at the end of our day and my little guy said "mommy, I just really loved hanging out with you." He didn't care how long we stayed or how much we spent... the atmosphere was so family friendly. This place is a whole vibe. Same with D&B at the Legends in KCK. The whole tribe turned up at that one for my 14 year old daughter. ❤️

Quick friendly service. Greeted at the door by two employees eager to help. Food and drink arrived in a timely manner and did not disappoint. The games were a hit with the kids. Overall a great experience.

I came in with my son and husband just to have a fun outing. We were blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff was. Our server Gracie explained the new menu options and walked us through getting an arcade card. We had no idea what we were doing, so that was extremely helpful. If you want a fun place for the kiddos, this is the place!

Had a company event there and it was amazing! The food was excellent; staff was incredibly friendly and gave great service. Veronica helped us the whole way through and made the set up and event run so smoothly. We really enjoyed our time!

Amazing time, amazing games. Always a super fun time at Dave and Busters. I love bringing my family and we just play games and have an amazing dinner! 10/10 experience always.

The service was amazing! Our server (wish I caught their name) went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Drinks stayed full, food came out hot, and the games were in great condition. One of the best experiences I’ve had at any Dave & Buster’s!

We used Dave and Busters to host an event and it was spectacular! The food is amazing, quite a bit better than you'd expect. The venue had everything we needed and the service was great. I'd highly recommend Dave and Busters Overland Park for your event.

Tonight we had the pleasure of being served by Alaysia. They made our date night so much more special, they were one of the nicest servers I’ve had in a while. They went above and beyond with customer service, recommending some of the best dishes I’ve had in Overland Park and Lee’s summit combined. Me and my fiancée will definitely be back

Overall my kids and I had a great time at Dave and Busters! We were politely greeted at the door and the host, Bridget, was very accommodating to what we needed as a large group. Our server Larissa was nothing but nice to us and extremely enthusiastic about suiting out every need. The games were quite enjoyable along with some scrumptious food. Ultimately, I would 10/10 recommend and we WILL be coming again to this Overland Park location.

Jason, Patti, and Keegan were amazing! Our company meeting of 30 went without a hitch (electronics/connections all worked!). Food delivered hot and fresh- even with picky eaters and/dietary restrictions... all very happy with their meals. Games provided laughs, team building, and friendly competition.

Believe it or not, we had a wedding reception here. I, being old, didn't know how well that would work, but boy, did people have fun. Food was served banquet style in a private room, with plenty of room for everyone. Guests were all given cards to play games. After the speeches and food, everyone took off to play games and had a great time. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Prompt, courteous and always present when needed. I wasn't sure how this would go, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Everyone had a great time.

We hosted our Girls Basketball fundraiser here, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, organized, and made everything run so smoothly. From the planning process to the event day, everything was handled with care and professionalism.

My two kids under 7 love this place so much that I hosted MY birthday party there. Lots of TVs to catch all the games. Great food suggestions and service from Aaliyah made the night a huge success! Tip: Week nights are less crowded

Shana, the bartender went above and beyond for my family celebrating our daughter’s birthday! She is exceptional at her skill as a bartender and the management should acknowledge her abilities for customer service! Thank you Shana for creating a memorable moment for my family!

The wings never miss! (Lemon pepper) I seem to get Shana who is one of the best servers I’ve encountered. If u want a consistent meal come here. They’re also open late.

The experience was what I was expecting, but the service wasn’t the best, and the food was underwhelming. The chicken tenders were a let down. I mean, it’s chicken tenders, it shouldn’t be that hard. When you walk in, there’s a sign saying to be nice to the staff that they’re having a hard time hiring people. That should be a warning sign right out of the gate. On the plus side, all of the games were working and seemed to be well maintained.

We came here for date night. We had never been here before. Having gotten off work, we hadn't had dinner. We walked in and downstairs and headed to the dining area. We sat for a while until we tracked down a server, wondering if we needed to order at the bar. No, they said they just never saw us sit because our booth was hidden slightly. The server then stopped by, and we ordered. The food arrived in a timely manner, and my date asked for a refill. We ate the food ( it was good ), but a refill never arrived. My date finally went to the bar to get a drink because 10 minutes had passed and our food was gone but we were thirsty. The server saw this and apologized. We received our check and headed to play. We got a card and played games. They were fun, but a few took our points but were not working correctly. We tried to talk to the people in charge of this but stood in line for 15 minutes. 2 different occasions. A manager was called because the kids in charge didn't know how to resolve this. I believe possibly their first day. Overall, we had fun. The bathrooms were not very clean, and they were maybe 20% capacity for a Thursday night. When we tried to sit for dinner, 25% of the tables were covered in dirty dishes, so we sat in a corner. Therefore, we were not spotted. I'd go again, but I wouldn't call this place a must visit. It's definitely a fun place for the kids. I also wouldn't expect a top-tier dining experience at a game place. The food was pretty good fyi. We had fun.

This Dave& Buster's is in a good location. It's very large and widespread. The game's are all decently positioned. They should get a little more variety instead of a lot of repeat games. When we walked in the only thing you could smell was pot and unfortunately that's a bad thing to have in a area of games and restaurants that a lot of children are at. There was a few games there that are absolutely 100% rigged in favor of Dave& Buster's and I think that that is unacceptable. There was quite a few beer bottles and glasses that were in between machines and garbage on the floor.

If you are looking for a place to spend with friends, it is an excellent place. If you want to give your kids a fun time, it is the right one, but to eat it is better that you think in another place, I am not sure if it all depends on the chef of the day, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I also saw fewer games on this visit and they did not attract attention since they are a bit old.

Came here the other night with the family for dinner and some arcades. Fun atmosphere and definitely don't have to worry about the kids bothering other guests. Got the token and meal which is recommended if you planning to play. The pasta steak and shrimp dish was good.

All around good time. I guess it was just the time my wife and I went but I sat at the bar for 10 min and no one ever came to ask if I needed help. I asked someone for help and then a bartender showed up.

D&B is super nice , we had a 8th birthday party here for 15 kids. Only caveat is they are super expensive for the whole private room package and game passes for the kids and they say you can come in early to decorate (birthday party) but ended up with about 5 minutes waiting on manager to finish talking. That was pretty aggravating. There is a lot of fun things to do for both adults and kids. Similar to a casino but with video games.

It is a great place for adults and kids. The food was really good and service was quick. The facility was clean and the bathrooms were well taken care of.

I came here to celebrate my son's birthday. The waitress was friendly but was not very attentive considering that the restroom area was rather empty. I don't know if she was a new waitress but she seemed kind of scattered. My food had to be made again because they did it wrong the first time. It tasted good. It was just a really long wait. I can't imagine going to the restaurant attached to here for a date or anything like that. The waitress tried to charge me to make the burger again. When she brought me the bill she said it was a discount that they didn't charge me for the second burger. They would really have to have better service for me to want to ever eat there again.

Everything here was good other than the dinner service, waitress was very slow, and barely said a word. But food was fine and served by the kitchen staff quickly. All the games we tried worked except for 1. All in all was happy & will go again.

We love D&B. It's one of our favorite family outings! This one used to be our favorite, but it's gotten really meh. There are rarely any new games and a couple of them were down with no one trying to fix them up. We left with money still on the cards 🤷‍♂️ maybe we'll try the other one in KC next time. It doesn't compare to the fort Myers one we went to on vacation. 3 basketball games, a really nice dance dance game, and really cool coin games with trading card prizes. Please get those ASAP!

Been a long time since I've been to a Dave & Buster's. We split a slider appetizer & the chicken tender, fried pickles, & fries appetizer (chicken tenders would be the only food that I enjoyed). Food was very bland. Also ordered a Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade - it was alright. Became very crowded with children (after i took my picture) & the employees seemed like they had better things to do than be there (food left on tables for long while after the people left & one employee almost plowed into me while looking at their phone).

I was extremely disappointed with the service and staff my first time visiting here this past weekend. It was my birthday and we thought we would do something fun. We were originally going to go somewhere else for dinner, but saw this place had food so decided we would do everything at one place. It was busy, but not overly busy, around 8:30pm. We decided to sit at the bar, the bartenders were completely ignoring us and mostly talking to each other, it took about 25 minutes before we even got someone to get drinks for us, we were about to just leave. My friend ordered the chips and salsa appetizer and they forgot her chips, so when she asked for them the guy gave a little scuff noise like it was an inconvenience. No one ever checked on us to ask how our food was, and again it took 20-25 minutes to get their attention so we could pay our bill. Overall it took over an hour and a half just for us to order, eat food, and pay. I don't like going to a place where the workers make you feel like such an inconvenience.

We came in about 3:30 on a Friday evening. We always liked Dave and busters and wanted to have a great time so we drove over an hour from the missouri side. We never come out this way but maybe once every couple years. Lucky for us, the place was Completely dead. We came for my son’s birthday. The service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. The first waitress handed us off to another after answering our questions. I asked the hostess initially if we could play first with the eat and play combo and was told we couldn’t and would have to be seated. After We ordered our food, I asked the waitress if they do anything for Birthdays, she said she would check. We went off to play. about 10 min later, our food was out, there was an ice cream sundae next to the food. Which we appreciated, but would have preferred she asked if we wanted it with the food. my son had to rush to eat as it was melting. About 10 minutes later I went and asked for a refill as she hadn’t been by, I also asked for extra spoons to split up the ice cream between my kids. She gave me the refill and then said she would be right back with the spoons. I waited about 5 minutes by the same bar area and then I realized she took the spoons to the table. I didn’t eat as I have a special diet, so I played games while they ate. When my family was done eating, they joined me to play. One of my kids didn’t eat any of their food, and one of them still had 3 tenders and fries left. Every time we went back to the table, we didn’t see the waitress so I had no chance to ask for boxes, but intended to. The check was at the table, but we had a lot going on, with three kids, three play cards and trying to keep track of cards, kids and game time. I didn’t know we needed to rush to leave the table since there were several tables open at this point it is still nearly dead inside. When we were out of chips and play time, and ready to go redeem tickets, we went back to the table to pay and gather our things. When we got there all the food was gone. I asked my husband if she was packing up boxes and he said no he hadn’t see the waitress to even ask. My husband said he put all the cups and plates we were done with near the edge of the table and moved the food we wanted to keep to the inner table.all of our kid drinks were still there. he wasn’t sure why they took the food as it was placed in an area far away from the empty plates. At this point I was a little frustrated as we paid for food and it was thrown away and my daughter hasn’t had dinner at this point. I saw our waitress at the bar and so I went up to the bar and asked if the food that was left at the table get thrown away- and she said yes. I told her we had intentions of getting boxes. She said she would see if they could remake it and walked off. Remind you , this was two plates of chicken fingers that were thrown away. She comes back by about 10 minutes later and places a bag on the table with one chicken finger meal inside. She says nothing, just places it there and walks off. She looked pretty irritated. At this point, I’ve already paid for everything including a $25 tip. My husband is frustrated and tells me The waitress never checked on them once while they were eating and was pretty dismissive overall , then tossed our food without asking and had an attitude. He felt she deserved no tip. I did agree with the dismissive part but I wasn’t aware she never checked on them. We did get my daughters meal replaced but not youngest sons. Outside of this, the games were pretty fun! My kids loved the cotton candy machine, and although I was sad to see the jumbo claw machine not have big prizes as I’ve seen in past year, my kids enjoyed getting tickets from the jumbo claw. I will say the prizes (especially lower ticket items) were really ran through and not stocked well. There was nothing stocked under 90 tickets but several options with empty containers. Overall, my kids had fun. But we spent over $200 and drove over 100 miles to get there. I don’t feel that it packed a value for the money spent.

My Wife and I come here for quick dates just to unwind. We sat at the bar and it’s usually pretty decent but tonight was terrible. Our service was terrible tonight. Bartender checked on us once and we wanted more drinks, didn’t have silverware for my wife’s meal. It was completely bad. I usually tip really good but not tonight.

We came in with a group of 9 and chose Dave & Buster’s specifically because they were showing the UFC fights. Unfortunately, our table wasn’t ready when we arrived and service was extremely slow. Our waitress was new, which we understood and were patient about, but several basic things were repeatedly missed, including our drinks and silverware. Our food took close to 45 minutes to an hour to come out even though the restaurant was not busy, and the kitchen ran out of multiple items we ordered, including pretzel dogs and mashed potatoes. Silverware wasn’t brought to the table until about 20 minutes after the food arrived, and my husband ended up eating his steak with his hands. Overall, I do not recommend coming here for food. If you’re going for a fight, I’d suggest sticking to the bar for drinks and watching the game or fight. The food was not fresh and the overall experience was very disappointing. The games were fun and my son enjoyed that. We will only come back for the games!

Came for the super bowl and yeaaa not happening again at this location at least. Y’all can thank Michelle (manager) and the short white balding GM. I came last week for a birthday celebration and we were allowed to bring an outside BD cake. Yesterday at the super bowl I brought cheese dip, but was told “nO oUtSiDe fOoD”. When I clapped back at the managers and told them “but y’all allow BD cakes” they replied “that’s different”. Uhm, what????? That’s Still OUTSIDE FOOD. It soured our experience last night which was unfortunate for the server… you can tell she was embarrassed and felt sorry for us (and yes we did the $30 party deal so we definitely spent money). Don’t recommend coming here for events, try main event or the other D&B location in KC cuz These managers are nasty and on power trips.

Service was amazing and there was a game that wasn't working they fixed for us. But we spend over $21 on a single drink!!!!!!! I understand the prices were not on the menu However that is outrageous It is not a fine dining establishment It is a sports bar / adult arcade. I highly advise that you add the prices to the menu. Because that is absolutely ridiculous

If I could give a 0 or negative number, I would. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I was told I'd get a text and/or call to get seated within the hour because of the size of my party - we were 5, 3 of which were kids! I see multiple parties bigger than mine being seated so I went to the desk after an hour. THEY FORGOT!!! They sat us down and took our order. It took over an hour and a half to get our food and it was cold! NEVER AGAIN. Don't come here to eat!!!!

The games at good but the service was horrible. I would give 0 stars if I could. First I asked form my meal to have no mushrooms and when they brought my food out there was mushrooms in it so they replaced it and said they took it off my bill The bill was originally $153 and my husband paid that but when we got home and check out bank account it said we spent $195 at Dave and busters so the waiter tipped him self more money This is unacceptable and in my opinion stealing

The games were fine but the food and service were poor. Right off the bat they ask you if you want to do the unlimited play and meal deal, and we agreed. We were ushered into the food section and given a table. We asked if we could play games before ordering and were told we had to get the cards from a server and we said okay. Once we were sat the waitress came and asked us what we wanted to eat. We told her we weren’t ready to order and that we wanted to play first. She said we HAD to order right then (at least one entree) to get the deal, but that she’d wait to put it in so that we could order together. The games were fine and we played for our 90 minutes. When we returned, there was a new waitress who took our orders again. She put the payment system down and walked away, and I could not see an itemized bill, but the total looked high. I had to flag down the original waitress and ask for something itemized because I thought the bill might be wrong. It was. By about $30. My husbands food then came out, and mine did not. The waitress said it’s because she put his order in at the beginning, which is what we specifically wanted to avoid. He ate his entire entree before mine came and and mine was WRONG. I had already paid the bill at this point, and told the waitress my food was wrong. She told me to take my sandwich off the plate and put it on a different plate so she could return it to the kitchen. I did. It then took almost 10 minutes for my correct sandwich to come out. The waitress came by again and told me to “not worry about the price difference.” What price difference could there be between a chicken club sandwich and a fried chicken sandwich? Anyway. God awful all the way around. Anyway. SO GLAD they still had the audacity to ask for a 25% tip on an incorrect order AND game play.

Extremely let down by our experience this evening. We went in with a group of over 20 people, (separate checks) which always mean big $$ and tips. Hardly saw our servers, my 2 kids and I had to wait 30 longer than anyone else in our group to get our food. By the time we got our food everyone was ready to leave.. go figure! Food was mediocre at best and I’d say around 25% of the games were broke or eating your $$ and not working. Talked to the manager she did nothing. They didn’t offer a discount on food or anything. No apology, nothing. For how much you spend here, y'all had better step it up, big time!!! UNIPRESSED.
