Hailing from Alabama, we stopped in for a late luncheon. We were seated quickly, with a chair removed to make room for my husband’s wheelchair. Our waitress, Jada, was knowledgeable about the menu and suggested wine pairings as well. We had questions about the photos on the walls and she even had the manager come talk to us about them. The spaghetti and meatball was superb as was the delightful chicken piccata - a little bit of deliciousness in every bite! The pesto stuffed mushrooms were a great starter as well. Chef Raul stopped by to check on us. as well. While we didn’t plan on dessert, we did finish with a creme brûlée with strawberry garnish - excellent!! We do not currently have a Maggiano’s in Alabama but we welcome y’all to bring one to the Yellowhammer State.
I recently dined at Maggiano’s and was incredibly impressed. The lasagna was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly layered. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The service was also excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend Maggiano’s to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine!
I had such a a great meal and great time! Our serve Hannah F was super friendly and made it a fun experience! The food and drinks were delicious! Definitely try the espresso martini!
My wife and I went for Thanksgiving and was delightfully surprised with not only a beautiful meal but HUGE portions! The staff was absolutely wonderful ❤️ Can't wait to go back!
We came here for my birthday and the experience was amazing! The waitress was incredibly polite and friendly, and made the whole experience so so worth it. They have a deal that gives you one appetizer, two entrees, and one dessert that is SO worth it. When our dessert was brought out, they gave me a rose and candle for my birthday as well, which was very sweet (: We'll absolutely be back here! This is a new favorite place for sure.
Tyler was our waiter and he was so nice and attentive throughout the entire meal! I graduated from KU that day so it was a celebratory meal and his kindness just made it so much better! Then they brought me out a graduation card and EVERYONE had signed it, it was such a sweet gesture and made my heart feel happy! The food was amazing too! We never ran out of drank, we are definitely visiting again! Also a big thank you to Jarome , the manager who was so kind and welcoming in the first place!
Wow! What a fantastic dining experience, from the moment we entered the building we were happy. Smiling faces and kind staff welcomed us in and to our table. Our waitress was Sandy. She was wonderful. She checked on us the perfect amount and kept our drinks full the entire time. The FOOD. We started with Crab Cakes. Magnificent. I could happily eat them everyday for the rest of my life. I ordered the Lobster Carbonara. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of lobster in the dish. Every bite had large delicious chunks of lobster, the sauce was perfectly seasoned, and the snap peas were a delicious addition that I would have never thought to add had I made this dish for myself. My partner ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was very good. I wouldn't say it was "write home" worthy, but it was definitely delicious. Of course the bread and oil was served when we sat, it was also very good. I would recommend sending out a bread knife with it though as it was quite difficult to cut the bread loaf with the butter knife provided on the table. If you haven't tried Maggianos, I highly recommend you do.
After a few years away, I recently returned to Maggiano's in Overland Park and was absolutely delighted! I was pleasantly surprised to learn they boast a "scratch" kitchen, and the quality of the food truly reflected that. Every bite was bursting with flavor. Our waitress, Andi, was phenomenal. She was incredibly attentive, personable, and so patient in answering all of our questions. She truly made our dining experience exceptional, and she definitely was familiar with the menu options. I opted for the Chicken Parmesan, substituting marinara for Alfredo, and it was fantastic. But with such a tempting menu, I can't wait to return to explore other delicious dishes. Highly recommend!
Awesome food and service. Only complaint I had was in some of the dishes it was too creamy or too much cheese. Next time , may be , I will have to let them know to use less. Update after my recent visit 10/24/25 , same warm service and cozy vibe, but this time the ribeye (medium-rare, dairy/gluten-free) came out well-done and chewy. The wine suggestion was perfect though, and the apple crostata dessert saved the day.
The waitress named Andy is the best. She took great care of us and was very nice. We will definitely be back. This dining experience was exquisite. Beautiful restaurant amazing food and great friendly service. Very happy! Just Bellasimio!
Went there with my office colleagues. Amazing food and drinks. Tiramisu and smoked old fashioned is a must try. Garlic bread and crab cakes are amazing as well I tried the vodka rigatoni pasta and it was phenomenal. Overall great place
Went to Maggiano for dinner time. I was by myself and decided to just have a sit at the bar. Had a great time being served by the bartenders there. You can tell the bartenders know their customers. 5 ⭐️ for customer service right there. All plates on the menu looks amazing, being my first time there, I had to work my way backwards from the dessert menu first, to see what I was going to get as main dish. Oh my… everything looks delicious. Main dish was great, dessert after that was awesome. Might need to come back in town to try it all. Really recommend.
This place far exceeds the available 5 stars. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in till the moment we left. Our waiter Carlos deserves a raise!!! He was personable , polite and attentive. He wasn't even phased when the Seahorse souvenir my grandson was squeezing with all his might burst....spewing orbies all around. I hope the owner knows what an asset Carlos is to this company.
Ate at this this restaurant for my birthday ended up being there during prom weekend so it was rather busy. Was told it would be a 20-minute wait that ended up being an hour wait for food that was really salty. I've eaten at this restaurant in other locations many times so was very disappointed with the flavor of my meal. What I like most about Maggiano's is their appreciation for military families, which offers a nice discount that has been lowered throughout the years but still great.
Maggiano's was delicious. Two of us went, and did the "Marco's meal for two" deal. We got the crispy mozzarella appetizer (not pictured here), the Spaghetti and Wagyu meatball, Finest Fettuccine w/ Chicken, and the Triple layer chocolate cake. Holy moly, the food was delicious and plentiful. Best fried mozzarella I've ever had. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was right. Give this place a shot for sure.
I’ve been to Garozzo‘s, Salvatore‘s, Lydia‘s… This was the best that I’ve had in town. And honestly, the servers were really good and efficient and very friendly. Pretty crowded the night we went in the day before Valentine’s Day, but exceptional service and lots of food if you order the family deal I think we went home with 15 boxes of leftovers lol
This was my first visit and it was wonderful. I came in on a Thursday night after work. I got great service, the food was wonderful, and I will definitely be back. Great place for date night. Upscale environment with professional staff. The Italian chopped salad and wagyu beef shells in alla vodka sauce were amazing. Dessert was chocolate mousse cake and was equally amazing.
They treated us so well at Maggiano’s! The chicken Parmesan was amazing as well as the desserts. Such friendly and welcoming staff! Wendy was amazing as well as our waiter, a young man who goes to KU. Cannot wait to go back there.
A great experience. Nice place for a date night for sure! Food was delicious (I had the chicken parm). Server was nice & helpful. Good wine. Beautiful atmosphere. And might i mention, they have a Wonderful sauce!!
All around amazing experience for 1st time and celebrating my birthday. Food was great. Rose our waitress was amazing. She made suggestions they were wonderful.
We ordered 3 pasta dishes and a chicken parm. Also two sides. It was so good I only remembered to take one photo of the rigatoni à la vodka. It was supreme. The only slight criticism of the place is the wine a little pricey for the lower end vino, but it was till nice to have some red wine.
This restaurant is a fantastic location for business meetings, date night or all around atmosphere. The food was great and the smoked old fashions were to die for. This is definitely a place that I will be going back to
Unforgettable experience with my nieces here. First time visiting for all 3 of us. Every single one of us loved our food. Tiramisu was perfectly made 👌 James was a great server!
Wow! Maggiano's won't disappoint. We walked in to a packed house and the lead sous chef found us seats. Our server was AMAZING - handling the bar area solo on a short staffed day. This new building is pristine. The bar area takes on a more modern vibe while the dining area captures that old school Italy vibe. We all ate our fill of the famous Maggiano's salad and then enjoyed our entrees. Check out the pictures - my mouth waters looking at them again. But, I just happen to have some leftovers - you'd better head on in so you can enjoy the food for yourself.
The food and service were fantastic. Our server, Jay, was friendly, helpful with Menu questions, and provided top-notch service. We did the special to get an appetizer, 2 classic pastas, and a dessert. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was great, and stuffed mushrooms were fantastic. Raspberry and Peach tea wasn't too sweet-just right. For dessert, we had the tiramisu - it was the best we've tried yet in Overland Park.
We had our wedding dinner here and it was amazing! my husband I had a great time and my family as well. the food was delicious and both of our waiters were extremely attentive and friendly. I will definitely be going back to do more events here.
Our server Jada was very attentive and accommodating! The salad was delicious and fresh. My date had the chicken parm and I had the lasagna. Both dishes were amazing 👏.
I’ve never had a bad meal or experience here. The fried zucchini appetizer is an absolute fave, but everything is good. The service is excellent with enough staff to comfortably manage reservations & seating, as well as every aspect of service to feel really well-cared for. We have enjoyed every entree from shrimp & scallops to chicken to pasta. The worst part of dessert is trying to decide which one. The donuts are great for sharing and presented well. While the meal is pricey, the food, drinks, and service are worth it.
First time there. The food was amazing. I order the chicken marsala with fettucine alfredo and it was great!!. Hannah our server was so attentive. She was checking that drinks and food was all good. It was a really good lunch.
We just moved to OP from San Diego and I was concerned the food here would be subpar compared to SD. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. I had a Caesar salad and mushroom ravioli - literally the best mushroom ravioli I have ever had in my life. The marsala sauce was top tier. Caesar was fresh, and incredible incredible, croutons were delish. My entire family is in the most satisfying food coma we have ever been in. Will definitely come back here regularly!
5 Stars: Truly Heavenly Curbside Service and Amazing Portions! 🤌🤌🤌 Oh my gosh, I just had the most wonderful night thanks to Maggiano's! Even for a carry-out order, the experience was spectacular. The staff is seriously heavenly—they brought the order right out to my car for convenient curbside service! I ordered the Calamari, Marsala Ravioli, and the Chicken Francese. Everything was still piping hot when I got home and tasted incredibly fresh. And let me just say everything is next level dreamy and delicious! What truly blew me away, was the effort they put in with my pasta and their warmly service. The amazing gal helping me mentioned they were out of the Marsala Ravioli, but a few minutes later, they surprised me by packing both the Marsala Ravioli AND the Stuffed Shells, that I had asked about in place of the ravioli! That extra effort was so touching. And let me just say, the portions are huge! You're definitely gonna feel valued there. If you're looking for an Italian dinner with fantastic vibes, fresh food, generous servings, and staff who go above and beyond for to-go orders, this is absolutely your place. I can't wait to go order and eat there again!
Great food and service! I am a fan of the shrimp alfredo, Maggiano's does not skimp on the shrimp and everything tastes great. I will say the last time I was in corporate had changed the bread to Hawaiian rolls or sweet dinner rolls that you get at Texas Roadhouse. I am hoping they will switch back to Italian bread because the Hawaiian rolls do not fit the vibe and our group was disappointed.
Had a wonderful experience at Maggiano's. We had a party of five so we decided to do the family dinner. Everything we had was excellent! We went for the stuffed shells and parmesan chicken as well as the salmon. All three dishes were solid. Our waitress was super friendly and she was very attentive to what we needed and ordered. The atmosphere tied in with our experience with a subtle dim lighting with cascading colors of wood grain, dark tones of red and some white. I really felt like this was a special experience considering how many people and families were eating along with us. Whether you're coming in a family gathering or just for two, I highly recommend you try their Wagu stuffed shells. They are my personal favorite. I would also recommend if you're going to do the family dinner style that you come hungry. They will fill you up!
Great place for a date night. White linen table cloths, mood lighting but not so dark you can't read the menu. I ordered the Zucchini Fritte and was the best I have had. House salad was fresh with plenty dressing. Fresh bread brought to the table was excellent. For the main I ordered their lasagna and an expensive side of very basic mashed potatoes. Lasagna was very good. Was nit able to eat all after the appetizers, salad and bread. My wife ordered the fettuccine with shrimp and said it was very good. Asked for parmesan cheese and the brought it out in a dish with spoon. I like it when its fresh grated right on your dish! Had the Crem Brulee for dessert. Had never had it before. Was very good, glad I tried it. Was so hungry I forgot to take any pics. Was not disappointed.
This was only my 2nd time here, but it is just authentically amazing Italian food and ambiance! Anthony was our server who was just an absolute delight, helpful and didn't steer wrong. We got the zucchini appetizer which was just dashing! The lemon aoili was to die for! The fried texture did not come of with the bite, so it left every bite to remain with that goodness in tact! He brought us a side of Marinara to also try with it, best sauce ever! Their Alfredo with the parmesan chicken, perfection in the cook and the Alfredo. The chicken Francese, could not recommend more. Everything was hot when it came out. And it was my birthday week, so not the actual day of my birthday and anthony still had them bring out some delicious lemon cake cookies a candle, and gave my boo a flower to give me. This place is a very special gem I couldn't recommend more 💜
Great atmosphere and aesthetic. Our waitress Elleanor made the experience go above and beyond. My drink never went low and had timely check ins. My girlfriend is a waitress herself and agreed she was doing excellent and would be a 10/10 recommendation.
Update: we hadn’t been in 5 years . We did the family meal as a late Mother’s Day lunch. Plenty of food. 2 salads, 2 appetizers, 4 entrees and dessert. Maggiano’s probably has the best fried zucchini I’ve ever had. My son and daughter in law said the salmon was delicious as well as the chicken piccata. The eggplant parm was also tasty. The only downside the spaghetti and meatballs was a small portion in comparison to everything else. The dessert sampler was delicious. Service was pretty good as well. The ladies room could have been cleaner. From 1 star to 4 stars. We've been 3 times. It gets progressively worse. Warm salad, slimy eggplant, burnt steak. 3 strikes your out. Don't bother
Great restaurant overall my wife really enjoyed the experience. Beautiful atmosphere, elegant. The service was fast, friendly, and great recommendations. Our food looked and tastes amazing, I personally would like to have more seasoning on my food but after eating at a few establishments I now understand that is how this food is meant to be prepared. Noodles were fresh, and light as if they were homemade the team did a great job making those stand out. Apart from the noodles the shrimp chicken were very fresh and perfectly prepared to balance the meal and not be too bold sauce was fresh and flavor was there just not bold which I believe is the point. Great food check them out if you love Italian like my wife does.
Thanksgiving dinner was top, tasty, varied, and more than enough of everything. Atmosphere was good too! However, our waitresses, I think Sarah was her name, was having an unnecessary bad attitude, which she tried to correct half way our dinner by being overly polite, but the damage was done. Our bottle of wine was brought to our table and left unopened for some time until another waiter, very polite, noticed it and opened for us, by then we were already eating. I will be back, and I do recommend this place, but I will check for another server.
First time here and food tasted amazing but the shrimp was quite tough. Had a reservation for 6:45 but didn’t get seated till almost 7. The restaurant was beautiful and fancy looking. We were scared they might be a dress code but seemed like u could wear anything once we looked at other people. Great place if u want a nicer night out for dinner.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary like we have before, but we didn't expect all the changes that have been made. We used to go more frequently and enjoyed the Marcos Meal for two which was actually worth going for, now they have removed that from the menu which is crazy, they completely changed the menu there are less options now which is fine but it was unexpected. They also changed the bread they serve you it does not taste the same or feel like the same quality. They took the salt and pepper, oil and the parm cheese off the table which was provided to dip the bread into and now they just give you a little plate of plain oil. Unfortunately I will not be going back now with the outrageous prices they have now. The food was good but not almost $30 per person good. The service was good we had a great server.
Ehh this was ok. Been here several times and I wasn't really impressed although last night we tried the meatballs and I will say they are probably the best part of our meal, very very good. I got the Alfredo, ehhh it wasn't close to being worth 26$. Wife got the "Rigatoni D" not impressed at all. The sauce was very soupy, didn't coat the noodles at all. Definitely had better. The chocolate cake was actually good. It's a tad rich but nothing like most chocolate cakes I've had. Meatballs and the cake were to start of our 100$ meal. The atmosphere was better than the entire meal.
I just want to start by saying our server Taylor was a 10/10 and the only reason we didn’t leave this restaurant upset. We made a reservation for 22 people and part of our party was there and some were still arriving I called and was told as long as someone from our party checked in our tables would be held so my party checked in and when I walked in and immediately greeted with attitude by the women manager with bangs and glasses she was telling asking how many people from my party were currently here I said most of us but the other half is almost here. We waited 10 minutes because our tables weren’t ready and were finally sat at a smaller table for the people I said were here. Not accounting for the people not yet to arrive. We got our drink orders in and then the rest of my party arrived and I was asking where they were going to sit since they sat us at a table for 17 people and not 22 and the man manger came over and told me they can’t hold a table for an hour ( I would like to point out it had not been an hour past my reservation time and I already told them they were still coming) I was trying to ask if we can get the table next to us that was about to leave the man kept cutting me off being very disrespectful and then my mother walked up and asked the same question as me and he immediately did what was asked in the first place ( not sure why he argued with me and was nice with her ) 2 hours later our food had not come out yet parties bigger than ours had got their food and left and we still hadn’t got even appetizers. Taylor was asking where our food was and she was being told to chill out and getting the run around. When our food came out half of us didn’t get our food and when we asked why they said computers went down and so the rest of our party had to wait 30 minutes additional minutes to get their food. The food was good. The restaurant offered us free dessert for our inconvenience and told us the available desserts. We all ordered but by this time we were ready to go we had been there for 3 hours and it wasn’t the best experience. When the desserts came half of us didn’t get any because they were out so I asked them to just comp our meals and they did but I will say this was my birthday dinner and if I had not been for Taylor I would’ve been very upset. The managers are completely rude and disrespectful. I’ve dined here before with my husband and it was good but clearly they cannot handle large parties. Taylor you were AMAZING. As someone who worked in hospitality for 5 years the management needs to do better in very disappointed
I ordered their "famous" Fettuccine Alfredo w/Shrimp. I have to say it was very underwhelming at best. The Shrimp was way over cooked and was super tough and very little Alfredo sauce as well. Pro tip.. order something else. My family all had great tasting entrees.. I should've ordered the Chicken Parmesan.
We had reservations. Table was dirty with bread crumbs when we sat down had to ask for it to be cleaned. We were sat at a small two person table in a very busy aisle, I believe it was by the entrance of the kitchen defiantly not relaxing. Food was good but not great. Probably not going to be back we have had better experiences and food other places.
It was my husband and I’s first experience at Maggianos and our food was great, but the service needs work. We got the Marcos meal for two and we ordered this pretty much 5 minutes after we arrived. The food came out in a timely manner, but servers were no where to be found. No one came and checked to see how the food was. Our initial drink order took 10 minutes to get to our table. When our entree course came out, still no one checked. Had to flag a server down for refills and red pepper for my meal, by the time my pasta was cold. We finished the entree and waited another 10 minutes to order the dessert, even though the server gave us boxes… After the dessert we waited again to receive a bag. All this time during our visit we saw servers pay great attention to one table and we felt like they were more attentive to ones with alcohol.
I did not have a great experience for my very first visit here. I was seated right in front of the door and it was cold. My food got cold within minutes. Mozzarella sticks were not good, could’ve been fried longer. Sangria was good. The servers kept bumping into my chair as they walked by. I ordered lasagna and it was probably the best thing on the menu. My daughter ordered shrimp scampi and it was mediocre at best. Very bland and not worth the money. My server was nice though. Takeaways: Sangria was good and lasagna was good. Experience fell flat.
Came to Maggiano’s for the first time dining inside and was really excited. The girl hosts at the front were incredibly sweet and welcoming, which was a great start. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. When my salad came out, a few items I requested were missing. Since it was busy, I didn’t say anything and still ate it, and it was good overall. The bigger issue came with our pasta. The noodles were overcooked which you can see in the photos. I also added the Parmesan chicken for an extra $7, and it was very soft, overly salty, and not crispy at all, which was disappointing for an add-on. and when we mentioned it to our server, the situation wasn’t really addressed or resolved. My friend comes here often and immediately noticed the dish didn’t look or taste how it normally does. We’ve both had the Alfredo before, and it has never been like that. We both left a lot of food on our plates and didn’t even take leftovers because it just wasn’t salvageable. The dessert was also disappointing — we barely touched it. This was especially frustrating considering Maggiano’s isn’t a cheap place to dine. Overall, this felt like an off night because this isn’t what Maggiano’s is usually known for. Not a terrible place to eat, but unfortunately an underwhelming first dine-in experience for me.
This particular locations customer experience is so poor that when presented with the final bill one would be justified in sharing an audible laugh with the room. The price point is clearly hidden from their menu in places that would imply a higher standard but the quality of food and service that follows is simply offensive. I’ve never been to a restaurant in which ordering food results in being informed of when you will be allowed to order that food. They can bring you a plated dessert faster than they can a glass of wine. Rest assured you have great fun needing to flag your waiter 2-3 times per round of food as they cut you off and walk away then promptly forget any details of the order.
Waitress was fantastic. The bread was great. But everything went down hill as soon as I got the Cesar salad. Bland dressing and stale croutons. I only ate part of it and was never even asked it I liked it. Passed it to my girlfriend and she said the same thing. Then entrees came. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it came from a burnt pot. The “wagyu” meatball was entirely too salty. And my girlfriend’s shrimp scampi tasted like butter noodles. The waitress was great but like no management came to check on us. I was recommended this place but I can honestly say I will never be back. It’s too pricey when honestly I would have been happier eating at fazolis (not that fazolis is great, but honestly tastes better)
