Opinions de Mario's Ristorante & Pizzeria Oyster Bay
Oh my god they have really good pizza . Highly recommend, they have really yummy pizza, spaghetti and salads. They have plenty of sitting and also good service.
Very much a New York pizza joint. Perfectly NY. So many options!
Always my go to for pizza delivery and we also like coming with the kids for a quick pasta dish.
My husband and I order from here all the time and have never been disappointed! As a chain, we were not expecting anything spectacular, but were very pleasantly surprised!
Can never go wrong with Mario’s especially this location having the best seating and best quality and quick service from the moment you walk in until you get your meal
The pizza was delicious, served quickly and efficiently. The prices were also fine and the restaurant was clean
Excellent place to get real NY pie. Great variety of pizza and sandwiches, and dishes. Very reasonable prices, with super people working there.
The pizza is ALWAYS phenomenal. The staff are so friendly. The restaurant and restroom is really clean. I recommend Mario's to everyone!
Their menu is amazing! And they offer gluten-free alternatives, so everyone has an option! Definitely coming back soon
Margarita pizza and seafood pasta was good.
Excellent New York pizza!!! This location has been open as long as I can remember and the pizza has always been great. Service is fast and friendly too.
The eggplant panini was beyond delicious, and the pizza was great. It’s a cozy/elegant pizzeria, the guys that worked there were very nice.
Best Salad Slice around. Ill drive for it. Thank you!
I had an eggplant panini, which was outstanding, and my husband loved the pepperoni and plain pizza slices! Very philanthropically minded establishment too because they donated pizzas to support those who walked in the Nassau County Eisenhower Park CROP Walk 2 years in a row!
Love there food and telephone order takers are so patient and pleasent they should have a day in their honor. I'm not joking every person that answers the phone at Mario's must of had some kinda United Nations diplomatic degree! Anyway love Mario's they employ ALOT of people just need them to turn off FOX News more often.
Popped in between games at St Dominic's this weekend. Great selection and fantastic service. The regular slices, sicilians and garlic knots were outstanding
I've been here several times now. It's nice how it's located near Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park. The meals are prepared great! I'm happy with the customer service. The management treats me well :)
Yesterday they delivered to the front step in two boxes. I only saw one and called them to complete the order. They called back to inquire about the 2nd box, after which I found it (my fault, not theirs). They were incredibly gracious and the food, as always, was excellent.
Staff were attentive.
Been coming here since I was a kid and pizza has not changed, still Great! Everything is good here including the service. If you have not been here give it a try.
Me and my husband not only enjoy their pizza! Their Lasagna& meatballs are so delicious! Sauce is so tasty like homemade! Everything at Marios is quality tasting! Highly recommend Marios 👍🏻🍕🍽🍷
First time there but definitely not the last! Awesome pizza...one of the best I ever had. Can’t wait to try their other dishes! 🍕
Fresh Mushrooms! so many places used canned mushrooms and Mario's uses fresh ingredients. The service is polite and quick. Also, the delivery service, although it can be slow at times, is awesome. Drivers are always courteous.
I live in the Oyster Bay Area. Eat at Mario's at least 2-3 times a week. Fresh Food, LARGE portions, everything well done. Love the Sauteed Spinach and Broccoli..Polite friendly help, eat as long as You want. Great Place.
Mario's has wide variety of foods that taste great. The service is always friendly and their prices are reasonable. They have plenty of seating for your family on those nights you don't feel like eating in.
Been to many 'high-end' pizzerias over the years and this one tops them all. Last evening, I had the Calamari Arrabbiata & Broccoli Rabe over Rigatoni. The calamari was fried to a crispy perfection. It was served in an outstanding spicy tomato sauce with roasted peppers. I gave that a 5 out of 5. The pasta was amazing. I could have eaten the Broccoli Rabe (which is sauteed in garlic & olive oil) all by itself, that's how delicious it was. They add sundried tomatoes to that dish and I gave that one a 5 out of 5 as well. My only regret was that I didn't have more room in my tummy to have double-portions of each dish. Highly recommended !!
Excellent pizza, best fast food in Long Island by far. Garlic bread is really a parmesan garlic bread, couldn't be better.
I honestly don't know why there are any bad reviews for this place. Of all the times my family and I went there, it was great, the food was delicious! In addition, the place is very clean and there is a restroom. The staff is very friendly and the prices are satisfactory. LOVE THIS PLACE!
I honestly don't know why some people don't like this place. The people who work there were exceptionally nice, the pizza was outstanding, the bathrooms were clean, and I definitely recommend going here!
Since the early 1900's, most of my family has lived in Oyster Bay. The Strattons, The Maddox', The Townsends', The Simmons', The Ciscos....all of our family and their offshoot families have eaten at mario's at one time or another. I started eating there in the 1970's, and then our immediate family moved to Ohio. I love this pizza so much, I compare it to every pizza I have ever had in my life and none compares. Last Christmas, my Aunt sent me some Mario's pie via Fedex. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know, i don't know what to tell you. I miss uz guyz. All the best of the pizza-barren midwest. Nothing compares 2U.
My family has been going to Mario's for my entire life. There is no other family restaurant that compares to the food and atmosphere at Mario's. Best penne a la vodka on the planet!!!
The pizza can’t be beat and the linguine with clams is enough for 2 people. They give you a healthy helping of clams.
Ordered 6 large pies to go for a graduation party. Ready on time and delicious as always
Good pizza with a great selection. They have every slice you could want
Service was quick and staff was pleasant. I got the plain cheese slice and it was well balanced. A big classic thin New York slice with tasty slightly dripping cheese and a good balance of sauce.
I’m from Brooklyn - not that it makes be any kind of expert - but Mario’s Special pizza is one of the best pies I’ve ever had. The blend of flavors was incredible. I highly recommend this place. The staff is excellent as well. Thank you again!
Amazing place to eat. Great pizza and huge portions. You can definitely split a chicken or veal parmesan with two people. They had amazing service as well. They must have had 15 people working the kitchen. Very cheap, but better than expensive restaurants.
Best pizza I've had in a long time. Service was quick and professional and atmosphere was tremendous. Had to keep going back to keep trying different meals. All great.
Amazing portions every time. The Sicilian pie is the traditional old-school Sicilian , not that rectangle Sicilian. They do not disappoint. Will order from them again.
We loved Mario's! I got the pasta ala vodka pizza, and it was incredible. My mom was able to get gluten free pizza, and she said it was amazing. Some of the best pizza we've ever had. And the service was great too.
Nice slices. Old school pizza.... olive oil dripping off which is great. None of this coal fired burned crust here. Pizza the way it's meant to be served 😀
Best pizza place in the whole world. The cheese calzones, other entrees, ziti slices, personal cauliflower pie, the eggplant slices, white slices, sausage slices, Sicilian pizza and regular slices from this place are top notch. Friendly staff and a clean Italian pizza parlor. I could not have been happier with the employees that work at this place for making their pizzas so scrumptious. I don't really go here often because I live in Bayville and I am trying to be on a good diet, but I sometimes go here on my cheat days on Saturday to get my favorite slices. Keep up the great work!
Mario's is an Oyster Bay institution. First, the pizza is outstanding, better even than any of the other Mario's I have visited, with a great variety always on hand including beloved favorites and a regular rotation of new and different things. Very generous slices! Great variety of not just pizza, but the whole range of Italian favorites.
Some of the best variety of slices to choose from! The Deep Dish personal pie is a hidden Gem! Like 25 people behind the counter! Pepsi products vendor!! A place for a cold Diet Pepsi yay!!!
In general it's very good pizza place. Italian food isn't bad either. Update I haven't eaten there in a few years. I went back yesterday and there delicious pizza was extremely plain 🤔
I love the pizza here. It is probably the only pizzeria that I don't mind dining in at. The space is welcoming and the staff works very hard. There is a variety of slices and Italian cusine. My kids love the baked ziti. The portion they give feeds all four of them.
My daughter and I have been to Mario's Pizzeria of Oyster Bay twice so far and have been greeted as if we were family. It felt like home, honestly. The pizza and sauce they use are incredible, making it a definite place for these definite repeat costumers.
Amazing pizza. Amazing people working there. Always love the fresh plain slice eating in. They cut those pies into 6 slices and it's extra large and fresh. Buffalo chicken pizza is the best.
Solid tasting pizza! I had a chicken buffalo and Tomato and mozz slice. GF had a GF pizza. All was good. The atmosphere was relaxing and chill. Plenty of staff working too.
This is the best pizzeria on long island. The selection of assorted slices is so good. I especially love the broccoli rabe slice. Incredible! Very decent Sicilian as well as chicken slices. There are other Mario's, but this one is the best. Always stop by when I am in the area.
The most amazing service from Kevin who went above and beyond to make my experience memorable so great customer service and amazing food. Thank you.
I love this pizza place I can't say enough good things about the food, management and employees. the pizza is excellent Do you know how to make nice and crust with above average delicious sauce and high quality generous portions of mozzarella (taste like Grande brand, but I never asked). On top of that, it's probably the best enlargest comfortable sit down dining room that doesn't require waiter service that you have to tip for.
I’ve been to this pizzeria today— the pizza is delicious and they have a great variety. There’s also a really nice guy, Konstantin, working there. I’ll be happy to come back again!
Nice and easy pizzeria in the area :) I step in at quite night, self order and they bring our food to the table. This is just my test and my own opinion. I don't like the food at all but nothing wrong with the food and how they prepare it. My Italian husband love the food, he actually brings my order home and finish it later. I get shrimp in garlic oil and when the food comes, it isn't like I expect at all. So, all I want to say is I just like food that is not in thick flour and not too oily. Order I get, maybe it is an Italian style and that is how they prepare the food. Anyway, service is good, friendly and very family style.
Great service, Great pizza, I have been going here since 1969 when it first opened. I highly recommend the Spinach slice this pizza is the best period it’s run very professionally and there is always a table no matter how crowded you will not be dissatisfied with Mario’s Pizza. Mario’s Turned Fifty at this time buy one pizza get one free.
Nice quick and easy for multiple pies. Took card over the phone and got to the destination super fast.
Consistently solidly good pizza and related food!
I love Marios but the have messed up the order twice.I have been impressed that when I call to reverse the extra charges due to the missing food, they have done so with apology and offered to send someone to the house with the correct order.
Delicious, pricy, they have deep dish pizza, parking a plus. Fast service. Will revisit. Great pizza. Yummm!
There food is always good. It's strange that this Mario's is not like the others in that you cannot order online or they are not part of the rewards program. Though, their infamous delivery charge still exists. When in a pinch for good pizza, you cannot go wrong.
This is the home of the giant slice! One is filling enough to satisfy your appetite. I tried the cheese ravioli with vodka sauce on a whim, and really enjoyed it! This bustling pizza joint has tons of staff at your service so you never have to wait long. You know food turnover is quick by the constant flow of people (especially evenings), so pizzas are not sitting around. Grandma pizza is decent too, especially if you don't want their gargantuan slices. You order and once it's ready, there's lots of seating available. If going solo, a newspaper is nearby to borrow, to keep you occupied.
Very good, clean place and tasty food! Grumpy personal sometimes but other than that it's good for my point of view. They should talk to their employees and teach them to be patient and not rude at all customers when choosing their meal because looks so good that is hard to decide what kind of food you wanna get.
Yummy pizza at a great price. This was the vedict from me and my two girls. Eldest daughter (9) said "good pizza, but the pepperoni was a bit spicy." 6, nearly 7, year old, said "I would have given it 5 stars, but there were bits of pepperoni on my plain pizza". Bacon, chicken ranch was great on a crispy base.
Some very good pizza! Heros were good as well. Never had the pasta. They left a strong impression on me with the quality and how the staff works quickly and together. Very nice to see.
I went to Mario's for the first time last week. Huge selection of pizza. The slices we got were delicious. I must be honest. We got water to drink. It was tap water and it was undrinkable. It was like a combination of pool water and melted plastic. I'm not sure what's going on there. Be careful.
A small family owned chain throughout Long Island. Very nice menu . A little on the pricey side. I ordered the Cold Italian Special Hero, different meats and provolone cheese with lettuce and tomato, just fair. My wife tried the Eggplant Parmigiana Hero, which she enjoyed. We have had pizza previously which was very good.
Three slices Side order of vegetable 12 garlic knots chicken cutlets $86.78 that’s crazy
$20 for baked ziti. And pasta is about 2 bucks a bag at any supermarket. You do the math. Tasty marinara sauce though.
The selection of food was a ten, Service was a 8, as they were busy and had to move it along, which they did in an acceptable manner. The pizza was an 8. Pizza was good. Out of all fairness earning a 10 for pizza in NY is challenging as the history and competition is legendary.
The order took quite long. When we asked why, the guy walked away and the other one was concentrated talking on his cell phone and the other one talking to another about a business, meanwhile here we were waiting to find out why was taking too long our order. The pizza was good. The chicken soup was thought to be like homemade but instead was can soup, salty as he'll, very, very bad. I had to take home and diluted with lots of water. It was very expensive to wasted. The bread wasn't fresh and the butter was so scarce that we had to ask for more and it took a while for the waitress to bring it. No one came to the table to ask if everything was ok until the last moment and because we requested a container to take home the leftovers. The penne a la vodka was good, the bake zitti I believe was microwaved it and it was hard and no so good and the lasagna was so so. Very overpriced, understandable because of the pandemic all increased but not to the exaggeration of overriding and business owners are abusing on the increased of everything. I think that it should be a little more organized. Lots of people working there, which is very good but the dishes should be served with delicacy and more attention to the customers which are the ones that make possible for the business to prosper as well as the owners wealth.
They take your order then you have to pay right away then wait for a few minutes for a regular slice (premade, just has to warm up, 30secs max in a 450 degree oven). I have been making pizza for 40+ years, this place is Very Commercialized and pie men are not that experienced, they use either a screen or alot of flour with the center of the pie saging( not stretching the dough out correctly). I will Only use this place when the other local pizzerias are closed and I have no choice (when I feel like having pizza). Just as a general rule, the more oil on the pizza means better quality cheese, the brand does not.
Good pizza. Nice sitting area but your Wi-Fi will not work. Spegetti and meat sauce is my husbands favorite but I'm not crazy for their garlic knots, dry with little garlic flavor
While this place has a cool vibe our last visit was rough. For 8 people (2kids, 6 adults) it took over 1 and a half for our dinner to arrive. Their inability to deliver food in a reasonable time is evident to even my kids. I watched our food die under the heat lamps and when dropping off our food my dinner wasn't ordered. Their floors are slick and my mother fell on the floor. They were delivering drinks as we were paying our bill. Overall this place needs a food Expediter, food runners and more servers. This place has really fallen off from a top tier place it once was.
Slice of Taco pizza. It was really disgusting. Doesn't taste like a taco, weird flavored meat mix. Cheese tasted like velveeta. Couldn't finish it. Don't recommend.
First I’d like to begin by saying that this has been my go to pizzeria since 1974 (49 years) (back when the roller skating rink was where stop and shop is now, and it breaks my heart to have to say this place isn’t what it once was. The only reason for two stars rather than one, history…memories of the place and their once great food. Bought a chicken parm hero about a month ago. Terrible! Dry. Not enough sauce or cheese, soggy bread and dry chicken. Sicilian pie with sausage a few weeks ago. OMG. TERRIBLE! Raw dough. Unseasoned sauce tasted like simple crushed tomatoes out of can. No oregano or any other seasoning. Light on cheese and sausage. When I called and complained their reply was, “sorry to hear that but I bet you ate it all”. I had two over the counter slices today and they were great as always. My recommendation is to stick to the regular (Neapolitan) slice and go elsewhere for good Italian food. Sorry guys…….you did it to yourselves! UPDATE: fast forward to August 2024. Getting worse! Ordered chicken Parmesan with linguine and marinara sauce. Al dente ( a little on the hard side, under cooked). Got dried out chicken breast pounded thin. Sauce that was sour. Very little cheese and mushy overcooked pasta((wouldn’t have made a difference, the place is finished. Let the help run the show and there you go…out of business)! January 4, 2026. I’m a glutton for punishment. Bought a slice today. $4.00 now! Crust isn’t even good anymore. Too thin and salty. Very little sauce and cheese. What happened to this place is beyond me!
Great pizza, pasta and salad selections and their pricing is fair. My only complaint is they need to train more the young guy staff who was taking the order upfront. I patiently waited in line and when it was my turn while I was giving my order on the 4th item when suddenly for no reason this guy just walked away and drag another staff to take my order from the very beginning. He didn’t apologize nor explained why he dropped my order. I felt insulted but maintained my composure and proceeded to give my order again. I hope management will also train their employees how to be courteous and respectful to all their customers regardless of skin color or race.
Not sure why - but waited 30 minutes to pickup an order today that was sitting on top of the oven. Would have been nice if someone wouldn’t have dropped the ball and made me wait - since my order was already done. Did I mention - 4:00 pm and the place is empty. I know this wouldn’t happen at night. I love Mario’s but I’ll be hard pressed to go back if this is how they treat their customers. Instead of BSing with coworkers - focus on your customer - the only one standing in front of you for 30 minutes and waiting for a pickup.
Me and my friend went there to eat .. we ordered two slices pizza and one cook ..The guy thought we were new in America like visitors because we are from Georgia 🇬🇪 originally and he tried to lies the price he was telling me two slices pizza is 20$ .. and when i was asked how much is one slice regular pizza he was like so sorry was mistaken price and he got mad and he didn’t did service good and he give me cold pizza..Didn’t warmup ..He was very nasty and had a terrible face … Also there no friendly people no good service … Please be careful and always check the price because this is happened for me second time….especially if you are new for them so means if you didn’t going there very often …Who lives there close by like neighbors they is so nice for them and couldn’t lie the price… we had a very bad experience i will never ever going there….
On may 2 I order a chicken cutlet hero ended up having to go back and give them half of the chicken Because it was uncooked and not edible. They we’re kindly to replace it with a second grill chicken hero this time . I arrived at home at 1040 to discovered my grill chicken had pink in it. Today may 3 I tried calling the store to speak with a manger but I was told “no manager on duty” I tried explaining my self to the clerk of what happen and he said that a picture was not sufficed he said to bring the hero back witch i advised him that last night I through out the uncooked poultry I am not going to go through the trash a second time just to bring him the uncooked chicken when I took a picture of it last night after I picked it up. He went on with “ there nothing he could do . This is upsetting to hear. I have never had this experience in any of the Mario’s But apparently it’s a norm in oyster bay . I am writing this because I felt unsafe in the way the store handle this whole situation , I have never had uncooked poultry in any other location but oyster bay . 13.00 for a uncooked chicken sub. I hope that this matter can be fixed as we living through a tough time
My veal parmagin hero was quite interesting to eat. Much of the time I had to remove the thick tough veal slabs hanging from my mouth after biting into the hero. I was in awe as each bite ended with a moist warm cheesy slab laying upon my well manicured goatee. Although quite messy I did perfect the art of restuffing the thick veal slabs neatly back between the hero bread. The cheese and sauce did remain on my goatee. I think leaving it until my interesting meal was completed was both time saving and left me in hysterics over my saucy but yet cheesy new look. For all those interested in a different facial look I suggest trying Mario's tough, thick slabbed cheesy parmigon hero.
Glad that you have vegan options but charging an extra $4/5 for the vegan cheese even tho the pizza/calzone etc doesn't include regular cheese is ridiculous so we are paying extra in addition to the money you save not putting regular cheese on it. I understand an extra charge to accommodate the vegan ingredients but $5+ for vegan cheese for a tiny personal pizza or calzone is more than any other place charges for vegan cheese. Not to mention you have no vegan up charges listed on your menu or on seamless so it's impossible to order online, whenever I call the price is different for vegan up charge and makes NO sense that it's the same $5 for vegan cheese for a large pizza or small calzone. With no vegan options listed on your menu how are people supposed to know that you have them
Ridiculous prices compared to the East Northport location. They wanted $18.50 for a small chicken caesar salad with chicken. Also the woman working the phone on 07/22 at 7pm was extremely rude, "decent" food but not dealing with this kind of service for the most expensive salad of my life lol.
Horrible experience. Got it delivered. Forgets my soda. Tries to argue about it and charge me. Gives my money back come to find out the food is freezing cold. They charge a delivery fee and charge like 4 dollars a slice and they can’t even heat it up. I call to speak to a manager and that was pointless too. If you like cold food order away.
I went here today at the height of dinner time, got two of the crispiest, driest cheese slices ever, I’m talking black cheese. With fifty people behind the counter, you’d think one of them would keep an eye on the pizza.
Very overpriced for the quality! I ordered a spinach roll/ricotta cheese roll- the dough was undercooked & raw, the ricotta wasn’t fresh! Panini was raw as well, didn’t taste good at all. Wasted $23 for spinach roll & panini.
Below average food, staff completely inattentive and close to unpleasant. I am local but will not return…ever! Dewey.
In oyster bay for 17 years and the service today was enough for me to never ever order from them again. I placed and order for delivery last week and received the wrong order. Placed an order for delivery today and provided delivery instructions and received a call from a number. I’m thinking it’s the delivery person but this person claims to be someone else wanting to make sure I received My order and telling me it was just left outside. Now why am I paying a tip for you to leave my order outside unattended. I called The store to find out who it was and whomever I spoke With did not care. I will NOT be ordering from here moving forward. There have been mishaps with my food before but I’ve chalked it up to human error and continued to order from them, however, more times than not there has been issue. I have always tipped for my delivery and been perfectly nice as you should when speaking to people yet I can’t help but sense some type of issue to the point where I have wondered if my food has been messed with. After this delivery debacle I had called the store to complain and whomever I was speaking to was so callous and just kept saying sorry I will talk to the driver and as I was still voicing my concerns, hung up on me. This is my experience, and I cannot help but think this may be some type of prejudice. I’ve been nothing but nice even when things have been messed up and continued to try and support a local business. Today is my last day doing that.
My.pizza that was just delivered here in Oyster Bay, NY was the worst I've ever had. I order there food once a week, 200$ a month. It was burnt on bottom, cold, (and there less than a mile away from me) and so soggy and oily. What a waist of a pizza, I have to find another place, been here since 2021 and order from the them, but honestly it's gotten worse and worse. i’ve been in the restaurant and I see when the orders come in they give you that pizza that’s sitting outside for hours and hours like slop. Two bites I threw it all out. With tip almost $40.00. I ate a bowl of cereal instead. That's Mario Pizza in Oyster Bay, New York. I'm a resident in area but ill Never ordering here again!!!!
