Splendid day, beautiful snow, and top-notch services, we will return.
Ideal for cycling and hiking. Climbing to the top will allow you to admire Monviso in all its splendor. In the winter, skiers will have access to the ski lifts.
We visited over Halloween weekend (with spooky weather, to say the least). Because of this, we weren't able to appreciate the scenic beauty, but rather the refuge's excellent cuisine. Run by a young, up-to-date staff, they've created a well-organized attraction for all four seasons: events, merchandise, organized excursions, family activities, and much more.
Really beautiful viewpoint on the surroundings. Nice spot for bird migration in autumn or late summer.
Adorable, magnificent view, excellent food at the refuge, and beautiful structure. Play area for children and walks for all tastes, as well as a charming chairlift.
There was no ice end of January. View was great but climate definitely showing its impact.

A beautiful refuge, easy to reach by car, typical mountain lunch, good food, friendly staff, normal prices.
Excellent as a base for beautiful walks of all kinds. Easily accessible by car with ample parking. Taking the chairlift, which I think is a bit pricey given its current condition, takes you to beautiful trails and scenic spots. The signage along the various trails could definitely be improved; it's practically non-existent. To reach the lakes, we relied on the people who drove down and maps, as there were no signs.
A splendid panoramic viewpoint at over 1,500 meters above sea level, complete with refreshments... From there, there's also a chairlift that takes you higher.
Lunch with the cyclists after the climb through Serre di Oncino. A fairly varied menu, carefully prepared ingredients, and pleasant service. You can stop without hesitation; the price is also reasonable. I've been there several times and will return again.
Nice driving, and with 40°C, in La Morra was a lunch there in only 30° exellent. We got som nice fotos of Monte Viso.
Small intimate and not too crowded. Great price and friendly service
A terrible experience at the refuge down in the valley where we booked dinner and a deckchair to watch the stars: the dishes were cold (spinach flan with fondue) and the gnocchi with toma cheese were very lightly seasoned and not enough for an adult. It's a shame because the place is really nice. Friendly staff.
APPEARED TO BE OWNER/MANAGER WAS NOT FRIENDLY SERVICE AND QUITE ABRUPT, MAYBE SHE WAS JUST HAVING A BAD DAY? WAITER WAS NICE ENOUGH BUT THIS WAS NOT THE ITALY WE KNOW AND LOVE!
