Opinions de Joyce's Sushi Palm Springs
Honestly such a beautiful restaurant! It was very chill and the staff were all kind and ready to answer my friend and I’s questions about the menu. price is fair for the top quality food. Thank you guys!!! <3
We went in a couple of nights ago and had a great experience. The food / fish was super fresh and prepared amazingly. We had a wonderful couple of rolls (the mango shrimp was super great) and the straight up sushi was phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Delicious sushi and the robot was fun! Beautiful restaurant too
Got take out so can’t speak to the table service but the food was amazing. Pricey, yes. But the best quality sushi I’ve had in a while. Everything was delicious and the portions of fish were big.
Friendly, welcoming staff! Very good, fresh sushi. We got the spicy tuna roll, caterpillar roll, and firecracker roll. All were made with care and precision. Will definitely be back. Some of the best sushi in Cochella Valley!
Without a doubt it is the place with the best sushi in the Valley, I recommend ordering the bar menu
I’m not a big fish/seafood person, and they had many options that were suited to my taste. i meant to order the yakisoba but ordered the sukiyaki on accident, but it did not even matter because it was DELICIOUS
ood: The sushi at Joyce’s Sushi Haven is nothing short of exceptional. Each piece of fish is remarkably fresh, and the precision with which it is prepared showcases the chefs’ expertise. The menu is diverse, offering a mix of traditional and innovative sushi options. Standout items include the buttery Otoro, the flavorful Dragon Roll, and the unique Joyce’s Special Roll. The sushi rice is perfectly seasoned, striking the right balance with the fish.
We very much enjoy coming to Joyce’s in Palm Springs. Their sushi and rolls never disappoint.
Came in around 2:30 after the lunch rush. Nice and quiet. Ordered 5 items: Dragon, bbq eel, sea urchin, salmon belly, and yellow fun w sea urchin. All very delicious and fresh. I have faith again in cochella valley seafood being fresh. Normally in the valley, we go real basic, Cali rolls etc...now we can order anything and enjoy.
Food was great; the server was friendly and nice. I ordered the Benito plate for lunch. They even have two robots inside the restaurant. Highly recommended.
This place is one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to. At first looking at the menu online it seemed a bit pricey but it really wasn’t bad at all because the portions are generous and the quality is top notch. We will definitely be back, everything was so good! Loved the ambience and music too, very inviting and comfortable. Thank you!
Beautiful, clean, delicious and refreshing. Customer service and aesthetics were TOP TIER. Their staff, KIND and HUMBLE. Please, if you’re looking for GOOD QUALITY sushi and seafood in the desert, make your way over to this beautiful establishment, a hidden GEM!
The staff at Joyce sushi are kind, quick and made us feel welcome. I will be coming back!
Worthy of a quality restaurant in Japan. 100% recommend. Actually, I find it odd that this super qualitative restaurant is a bit hidden in a parking lot among supermarkets. This restaurant should definitely consider a more strategic location next to fancy hotels and boutiques on Palm Springs' main street. It has so much potential ✨
This is my third time come here and I'm absolutely obsessed. Their food/sushi is amazing and SO FRESH. The service is fantastic they are so attentive and kind. Don’t get me started on the atmosphere it’s a complete vibe. They have a cat robot who brings you your sushi I love it it’s so cute! Would definitely recommend. Thank you to Speare and Richard for making the experience phenomenal.
Delicious Tonkatsu spicey ramen. Fresh ingredients abd rich broth. My friends laughed at me because I ordered hot soup in the middle of the summer! All I can say is " when its good, its good!!
Amazing! Joyce sushi’s always been my favorite places to go! I love the location in RM and now having a location in Palm Springs! Perfection , the itchibab roll so die for, I love how refreshing the roll its and how soft the tuna from being seared! Ten out of Ten!
Went to Joyce's today for our Christmas lunch. I'll have to say that we had an amazing experience! I had never been, but my wife had been a few times. The service was great, the food was excellent and I will be back! Thanks for a great lunch!
Joyces sushi is awesome. Our servers were extremely nice and accommodating and the food was delicious and came in large portions. Will definitely stop here next time I’m in the area!
Super relaxed sushi restaurant. The staff were really kind and friendly to my family. The food was delicious I recommend the seaweed salad and the salmon roll. Will definitely return here soon
The staff is always very friendly and hospitable. The large Saki comes served in a nice decanter with fancy glasses. The ambiance is nice and it's very quiet and relaxing. They have a location in Palm Desert so this is their new location. I was super excited to see them introduce the Palm Springs location. If you haven't been you definitely need to come check it out. Best sushi in the Valley. Also really good dinner specials for those who don't prefer sushi.
Hannah did a great job she is a amazing server service overall was great she was very attentive to us and my toddler we will be coming back soon thank you Hannah
it was so good! The waiters were very nice, and the udon was amazing. I would go here again!
At first I was hesitant of coming here since I was new to the here but once I entered, it was a totally great experience. The chefs and staff were super welcoming. They were all very helpful for being clueless on what to order. I decided to order the Joyce Sushi combo with the bluefin upgrade and it didnt disappoint. It tasted so fresh and I was just in awe. I would definitely come back here 🙂
Ordered take out for some guest visiting town. Loved the sushi rolls 👍. Reasonable prices. Online menu was extensive, but difficult to navigate with no descriptions. Will try dining in next - a cute robot serves the food 🤖
We walked in without reservations and were seated in front of a large beverage fridge so we can’t really comment on the atmosphere. The food however was amazing.
Wonderful Japanese food in Palm Springs. They even have a robot helping with the serving. Great service. Free parking.
A beautiful day in May and a Saturday afternoon to boot. It was not crowded at 2 o’clock. Nicely decorated comfortable chairs, lots of booth, seating and friendly staff. To our surprise after giving the order, we were served sushi on a robot. Didn’t realize that was coming and it was very fun surprise. The food was excellent from A lightly battered fried Shrimp. To several types of roles, everything was excellent. We also had the cucumber salad, Which I would highly recommend slightly pickled. Don’t miss out. This is a great place for sushi.
We shared one of their large dinners. It was so delicious and we can’t wait to go back again❤️
This place is Fabulous!! Great food, Great Service and wonderful atmosphere. We will be back
Great food, fast and good service. Recommended when you’re in Palm Springs.
The wifey and I had a sushi date and had a great time there. Service was great. Hannah was awesome. Great Sake and even better Sushi. Tuna was top notch 👌 Recommend sitting at the Bar
New opened sushi restaurant in Palm Springs, I went with my friends. We ordered lunch specials. Different kinds of options there. It tastes very good, I would recommend you to stop by there. Also kind service and very nice & clean in restaurant. We had wonderful experience, thanks Joyce sushi!
Incredible! This is the freshest fish we have ever had at ANY sushi restaurant. The blue fin tuna was the best sushi I have ever had in my life! I can’t believe it took a trip to Palm Springs to get such a great meal.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing place for sushi lovers! The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, especially the rolls – perfectly balanced in flavor. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, making it a great spot to spend the evening. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We stopped by Joyce’s Sushi in Palm Springs without a reservation and were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar right by the kitchen. Watching the chef prepare each dish right in front of us made the experience even better. Everything felt fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming and intimate, and the staff made us feel comfortable despite not having an appointment. If you enjoy great sushi and like seeing the craftsmanship behind it, sitting at the bar here is a must. We’d absolutely come back.
Joyce’s Sushi in Palm Springs is hands down one of the sweetest dining experiences I’ve had. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, but what really made it unforgettable was the hospitality. The woman who helped us was an absolute angel. She could tell I’ve been a little stressed lately, and out of nowhere she brought gifts for my kids with little toys inside. Who does that anymore? It wasn’t just a meal, it was a moment of kindness that meant more than she probably realized. If you’re in Palm Springs and want great sushi and even better people, go to Joyce’s Sushi. They truly care about their customers, and it shows. Highly recommend.
Fresh sushi great place to grab a bite while exploring palm springs. Service was always near by. Food came out fast. Beers were cold! The restaurant was clean decorated nice. The bathroom did have pictures of food i found that a little odd lol.
Food was really great! Very nice and cozy but somewhat futuristic vibe. Staff was very nice and answered any questions we had! <3
The food was amazing—everything tasted so fresh! It was our first time here, and it definitely won’t be the last. We’ll be coming back again and again. Plus their staff Lia was kind and attentive.😀😀😀
First time in this great sushi hidden gem. The menu is huge and promising but we were into sushi tonight and we were not disappointed. Really delicious and unique presentation of the food. We want to come back and have soups and other offering they have. We also loved the human and the robot service… About the atmosphere: we did not like the two giant tv screens with baseball playing. Just doesn’t fit the mood and the ambiance. Maybe some video showing the beauty of Japan?? Also the choice of music can be improved, how about some nice Japanese music??? All in all, if you’re in Palm Springs visit Joyce’s sushi and have yourselves a great experience.
Fish in all the sushi and rolls was really fresh! Overall their spice blend, ingredient combination and recipes were just not my thing but I cant blame restaurant for that. It is apparent that they have a lot of fans, so would encourage you to try for yourself.
Joyce’s is a great establishment, food was great. Service was great, ambiance was nice. I’d say this is a pretty solid spot. It isn’t cheap but I’d like to say you get what you pay for. Feel free to come on by and check it out.
So glad we found this sushi spot! Great atmosphere, good service and delicious food! We got the lunch special for $22 and it was big enough to share for 2 people. Choice of 3 and comes with miso soup, rice, and salad. Would recommend eating here!
I've gone to their Rancho Mirage location with my parents and we love Joyce's Sushi there. Since this place just opened up, I had to check it out with my cousins. As a party of 6, we were seated right away. I really liked how there were towelettes to cleanse our hands before eating. And on the back of one of the paper menus there was a coloring section for my nephew to draw on. Service was very quick and friendly. I ordered the Deep Fried California Roll. I was very impressed at the food presentation, not only for my food but for the rest of the food ordered. Each entree was plated on beautiful ceramics. My roll was topped with microgreens and a pretty magenta flower. It also tasted fantastic. I loved the crisp on the outside of the roll and how fresh it tasted. We had people that came over to our table to deliver food and there was even a robot server too! I loved seeing that robot roll over to other tables, it was so cute. Our server always came by to check up on us and get what we needed. We had such a wonderful time. I've had nothing but great experiences with Joyce's Sushi with my family so it's no surprise that it was the same this time. Though the prices are a little expensive, I feel that Joyce's Sushi delivers with quality and the overall experience. This place is worth checking out.

Everyone is extremely friendly! We felt very welcomed and our business appreciated! The food was incredibly delicious. Nothing was disappointing at all.... to the contrary, the presentation, the portions, and the taste of the food was out of this world! We eat at a lot restaurants..:: this is our new favorite one in Palm Springs!
The best sushie in the Coachella Valley. I have lived in the Desert my entire life and just recently moved to the west end of the valley. This is hands down he freshest sushie I have ever had.
Everyone said the portions were big—they are right! Three rolls between two hungry people was perfect. We loved the rainbow roll with spicy tuna and Ojai roll in particular. Really fun menu and presentation. We came back a few days later.
Food is delicious! Ordered the bluefin sushi, which was fresh and buttery. Also got the gyoza, spicy scallop roll and teriyaki bowl which were all tasty. The service is warm and friendly. I’ll back!
I want to give Joyce’s Sushi a gazillion stars! We randomly searched for a lunch spot while passing through, and it unassuming but ended up being amazing. My partner & I got the spicy chicken udon & the spicy crunch salmon roll. We had never had spicy udon before so we didn't know what to expect but these noodles were AMAZING. A new type of taste cause it's not traditionally Japanese but whatever it was, was STRAIGHT FIRE! The spice wasn't too spicy, but had the perfect little kick to make the broth addictive. The roll had incredible presentation with lots of crunchy fried bits sprinkled all over (sorry no pics cause I was hungry). The waitress who helped us was so sweet and super attentive with checking in. She's also super cool because she's multilingual– Indonesian, English, Japanese, and even some Korean & Tagolog words? I wish I got her name so I can give her a shoutout.
Came by this place today, definitely very good good and the staff is absolutely attentive. Kids got right away a little bag with some toys. I felt so lovely taken care off and the food was worth the price, its not the cheapest but is was worth the money, and I have been to plenty of Japanese restaurants, this one is legit and attention to detail pays off, I felt almost like being in Japan - the pure friendliness is so lovely, I wished it was everywhere like this. Oh, and they cook with the same attention to detail!

I love this place! Sushi is great and service is also great. The reason I only gave 4 stars as I went 5 times already. The 5th time we had terriyki chicken, it was rehydrated chicken. Not fresh pieces of chicken. A lot of commercial Asian restaurants are giving that type of chicken. I don't care for it. If you have fresh fish all day, you can have fresh chicken. Better chicken and they get 5 stars.
I loved the avocado bomb WOW definitely try it out is amazing! The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that there’s a robot serving your food other than that the staff is great and the food was too good! Definitely will be back for the garlic edamame and avocado bomb!!!!! 😆😆😆
The food was good and well presented. the Christian music was not appreciated.
ood: Stellar. Generous portions of super-fresh, flavorful sushi, presented with care & beauty Service: Courteous. I think everyone here might actually be Japanese Ambiance: A little weirdly dark, but you get used to it Price: High, but for most sushi, justified. For some, a bit much for specialties like uni which is $30 for two pieces! My only real complaint is the Bible references all over. It’s irritating enough when Americans do it; I’d like to eat Japanese food without it. I don’t begrudge anyone’s beliefs but they don’t have anything to do with why I’m here or what I’m eating
Some dishes here were wonderful; the garlic tuna especially. But beware! Portions are very large, moderate your order accordingly. They like to put chili peppers on almost everything, which i think detracts from some of the flavors. Our soup came out after the sushi, we had to ask for water twice, not big things but enough to hold back a 5* service rating.
My food was super yummy and it was a big portion!! I got the teriyaki chicken dinner entery.
Good food. My son had the teriyaki chicken and cali roll bento box. He loved it. Chicken tasted good. I had the Spanish roll. It was good. I think it needed a little more lemon juice and a jalapeño or Serrano on top, but other than that, it was delicious. The staff seemed very polite. They had a robot delivering food which was interesting. Prices were what you would expect. I would recommend this place and will be returning.
We came here for dinner last night and were seated immediately despite not having made reservation in advance since we were there early shortly after 5pm, but we saw that people without reservations had to wait shortly after as the restaurant had many tables reserved or already occupied. I ordered a dinner special while my friend ordered a sushi combination. They served us our miso soup and salad very quickly after they had taken our order, but my entree came fairly quickly while my friend’s didn’t come until I was almost halfway done with my entree. Service was good as the staff were quick to come whenever we needed something. The overall experience was good but the price was higher than that of many Japanese restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area.
Good food. Decent price considering the area. I ordered shoyu ramen, unagi sushi and unagi roll. The ramen was too bland for my liking. The roll was not too bad. The sushi was good. The service from my waiter could be better but I appreciate the manager/supervisor checking on me. The manager seems much friendlier than the waiter. Overall, good experience. Will come back when I'm in the area.

Food is great. Service is substandard. It seems that they have a lot of staff but no one in charge. Very frustrating.
Visited this location while visiting Palm Springs. The food was decent, but very pricey for what arrives at the table. The presentation is nice, but I felt that there were definite weaknesses to several dishes. Positives: fish was fresh, service was fast, staff were generally friendly, lots of variety in choices Negatives: Spicy tuna mixture was way too wet. As such, rolls were very soggy and tended to fell apart. Tempura sauce was bland and lacking flavor. Sauce on shishito pepper was too salty for much of our table. Our friend from Japan was not thrilled by the takoyaki, but I thought it was pleasant. If the prices were lower I would overlook most of the critiques.
The food is good enough although rather pricey. The place is very unusual to put it mildly. It's like if you asked AI to create a futuristic sushi restaurant in the Bible Belt. There are always cheesy hymns on a saxophone playing in the background. And they come complete with their own little robot. Not sure that I'll go back but the food is pretty good
Firstly, the staff was wonderful. Very warm and welcoming. The head chef also stopped by to welcome us. The restaurant was beautiful and menus impeccable. I would have loved seeing photos of the food on the menu though. The robots are a cute add but super annoying with the delivery music. Not to mention, who am I tipping? The robot or the waiter? Coin toss. I wanted so badly to support a local small business in Palm Springs while visiting from Los Angeles. Most of our sushi experiences in general are pretty basic - to be fair - we have had our fair share of realllly good sushi and just okay sushi and this place sadly was just not appetizing. Granted, I am pregnant so I can only order baked rolls but how can any establishment ruin a pretty basic item? Sadly, this one did. Ordered the shrimp tempura crunchy roll… the excessive amount of “crunchies” piled onto the 5 pieces of roll tasted stale and old. I couldn’t finish it. Also ordered a baked scallop roll that arrived really late. Late and not worth the wait. Why the scallops were chopped up made me think they threw in some other cheap ingredients to accompany it. Sadly, It just wasn’t tasty at all. My husband ordered something else that also had those “crunchies” and he was also sadly disappointed. I suppose the only thing that saved the meal was the salmon sashimi my son ordered - nice big cuts and displayed beautifully. But apparently made his tummy hurt though. Eeek. He was fine though. My husband said “I feel like my wallet was violated”.
My partner & I went here on his birthday for the first time while we were in town this week. Food was amazing but partner wasn't given a copy of his receipt and today he noticed his credit card statement showed an extra tip. An employee decided they weren't happy with the original tip left. Just make sure you get a copy or take record or pay in cash.
We chose Joyce’s for their high ratings. We did not think it was good at all. When we walked in the person told us to sit anywhere. We sat and were left for a solid ten minutes. This was at 5:00 on a Monday. The service was terrible, it took 30 minutes to get someone to take our order. When the food came, it showed no care. The salad was drowning in dressing, the tempura was fried in oil that was clearly old. The spicy tuna roll was decent. I guess this is what a sushi place in Palm Springs is like. We were disappointed.
I really wanted to love this place, but the quality of food was just not great. Just like their other location, the rolls are completely oversized, and quantity doesn't equal quality. The $25 salmon/salmon roe special fell apart because the cuts are too thick and too big. I thought getting the steamed dumplings was a safe choice, but they really didn't taste good either. The pricing is way off, way too expensive for what it is. Also, why force us to get 7 pieces of sashimi if we don't want rice? Why not offer a 2 or 3 piece price? And the Bible quotes on the menu? What does that have to do with sushi? Very offputting as a rationalist person who doesn't believe in leaps of faith. Very unsatisfied, not giving this place another chance.
We ordered the Rancho Mirage combo from the Palm Springs store. The tuna roll with the blue fin tuna was without flavor or texture. The California was was sweet like candy.
Learn English, guys, because of the simple things that you are not able to understand. For instance, we asked to put some amount as cash and the rest on the card for the payment. Guess what? They charged everything on the card and brought our change into smaller bills. Shame to be a server without any English. The food was okay. However, their robot is the best because at least it speaks English. PS: Ask for a server who actually speaks English in order to have a better experience than ours.
I ordered the Moon River ($21), Danielle ($22), and Garlic Albacore rolls ($22). As well as a bottle of sake ($18). The Moon River roll was the best out of the three and the most affordable. The other two rolls were beyond boring. This place is highly overpriced. Their rolls don't help. There are better tasting and more affordable options in the area. The service was pretty exceptional though.

high priced with mediocre food & trash service! don’t believe the billboard on the freeway! 👎
I’ve been dinning at Joyce’s for a long time. No more! Ever! The last 3 times, I always order the same thing, and they ALWAYS screw it up. On one occasion, it was very slow, I ordered hot food, and cold food (sushi) the hot food came and I ate it. After at least 10 mins, I asked “can you check on my sushi” - oh yes, coming. 10 minutes later I asked for the check. Assuming they just were not going to prepare the sushi. When I got the check, the sushi was on it. Keep in mind. I was the only dinner besides a table of 2. I won’t get into the details of the other incident. They seem to run around like a cope circus, some appearing totally aloof and spaced out. Never again, the repeated frustration isn’t worth it
Went there for my birthday on 4/26. We sat down and were witness to a manager (owner?)screaming at one of the chefs for a good 5 minutes. A very angry, relentless tirade. Highly uncomfortable and inappropriate. I would have left right then but I was the guest of my friend and didn’t want to cause inconvenience for him. I will not return. The food is just so so. The service was fine. The atmosphere was horrible.
Take what we say with a grain of “salt”. We have had a lot of Japanese food in the U.S. and Asia. While the “chu-toro” is pretty decent and the waiters decent, this place is by far the “saltiest”, literally. Food over cooked and overloaded with salt. Totally regretting coming here.
Tried this place out on my way to the airport got the lunch special with the side salad, which the side salad tasted unclean The sushi was just OK. I wouldn’t come back to this location. The bathrooms were disgusting with urine on the floors by the urinal and urine on the toilet seat and the bathroom stunk
Joyce’s Sushi in Palm Springs looked promising at first, especially given the overwhelming number of five star reviews online, so we went in with high expectations. While the atmosphere is stylish and our server, Lia, was genuinely excellent and friendly, the overall experience quickly fell short. The biggest issue is the pricing versus value. The fish was fresh, which I can appreciate, but the portions and overall execution did not come close to justifying the cost. We spent well over $250 for just three rolls and 6 pieces of sashimi, and honestly, it felt excessive to the point of being disappointing rather than indulgent. What really changed my perspective was being “encouraged” to leave a five star review in exchange for a free entrée. That immediately made the abundance of glowing reviews online feel less organic. Not only where we asked once, but we were encouraged four separate times to leave a five star review. So I did knowing I could edit it later. After our server, read everything I wrote they brought over the free entrée. The complimentary dish was a cooked salmon that was poorly executed and filled with bones to the point we stopped eating it, reinforcing the feeling that the experience was more about good reviews than quality. In short, while the service was great and the fish was fresh, the pricing feels overwhelming high and the value simply isn’t there at all. I left feeling more ripped off than impressed, and I personally won’t be returning, ever. I encourage others to share honest, unfiltered experiences so expectations match reality.
