Food was decent. A little overpriced for what we get but overall it was okay. The employees are very friendly.

I picked up a takeout order today and the experience was unnecessarily frustrating. When I pulled up, there’s a sign that clearly says to park for takeout and call a number. I called and was told they “don’t do that anymore.” The restaurant was literally empty no customers inside so I don’t understand why someone couldn’t just bring the order out, or at the very least why the sign hasn’t been removed or updated. I sat there confused for no reason. When I went inside to grab my order, I asked for condiments. I stepped back for a moment to grab chopsticks, and during that time the cashier apparently placed the condiments on the counter without handing them to me or saying anything. I had no idea they were there and stood waiting for a while. Eventually she asked if I needed anything else, and when I said yes....my condiments... she said they were “right there,” meaning they had been sitting on the counter the entire time while I waited. The restaurant was empty ... so this wasn’t a matter of being busy just poor communication and lack of attentiveness. That said, the food from Fire Island Grill is great, which is why this was disappointing. Better signage and clearer customer service would really improve the takeout experience.

Please listen to the other reviews regarding small portions .Ordered here a few times. I usually get the chicken bowl for $7.99 but instead ordered the Tofu bowl and a side macaroni salad. Cost me $18 bucks and some change. When I asked the young blonde cashier if I could change my order to a plate instead she paused like she was unsure and then said no it was too late, then proceeded to get on her phone while she was cooking the tofu. No gloves, no washing afterwards, nothing. The price of the tofu bowl is overpriced for such small portions. The service is usually okay but tonight it was dry. No customer service at all.

First time trying this place and food is over priced most definitely. ordered my kid the Mac and cheese and it was krafts Mac and cheese out the box now nothing special although their menu looks appetizing once it was served it did not look like the menu or taste to my expectations and food is overpriced and workers there saw us standing there trying to decide on what we wanted didn’t even recommend anything they just let us stand there for the price I paid I can get better quality and tasting food.

Super disappointed, haven't ate here in a few years and they barely put any chicken with my rice. Maybe an Oz or 2? Definitely better options options out there

My girlfriends Tofu was burnt to a crisp, and my tilapia sandwich turned to mush and fell apart , macaroni salad was good though, that's the sandwich before it fell apart after 3 bites :( this was my first and probably last time eating here

Me and my wife have never tried fire island grill and decide to go in and try it. Upon entering we were met by the cashier who was a woman with glasses,we didn’t get her name but she had blue colored highlights in her hair. Anyway, she was VERY VERY RUDE and just really wasn’t friendly AT ALL. It seemed that it bothered her that we asked about the menu and how it all works since we have never been there. Ultimately we decided not to eat there and chose to spend our money elsewhere. Fire Island grill shouldn’t have people working the register who are rude and nasty.

The service is good, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere, the food is NOT. The chicken was dry, the noodles were bland and flavorless, unseasoned. My girlfriend had the chicken with rice and the same deal. The rice was dry and flavorless. NOT worth the 20 we paid for both meals. The teriyaki sauce was decent, but it's hard to ruin teriyaki sauce. I don't believe I will ever come here again.

Holy Wow!! We got the steak Sandwich and it was a disappointment 😒 little burgers for $10; left the car keys as reference for size

They totally wasted my time. I went there at 9:35 pm or so and they had the doors locked. If I knew they closed early on Saturday night, I would have never tried to give them my business. What’s the use in posting hours on the website or on your door if you’re not going to honor them?
