This place is the best Mexican food you can find in the city. Try the enchilada's suizas. It's the most authentic Mexican food around. Not just that, the services really quick when I got there the food was ready and no one was in line meaning no wait time .if I could give this place 10 Stars I would. Thank u for the amazing food keep up the good work crew.. 💯😁
Gret customer service, very friendly staff & good was excellent. Fajita salad was soo tasty!
Best food in the valley. I moved to Miami a year ago. I have not found a restaurant like Speedy Joe's. Five stars does not say enough. Food and service is outstanding. I be back in November, my first stop will be Speedy Joe's
Excellent mexican food. Great fresh salsa that has enough heat but not over whelming just great flavor. The tacos are amazing chalk full of meat not just lettuce and cheese like some place do. The staff is super friendly. This is a great little mexican restaurant well worth going to.
Food was fantastic and friendly staff. Don’t be turned off by the unassuming exterior speedy joes was the best Mexican food I've had in a long time.
DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. On my first visit, tried the Enchiladas Suizas. Good flavor and full of chicken. The rice and beans that accompanied them, were good as well. Topped it off with a tall glass of cold Pacifico. They have a tiny bottled chili called “ghost” which only after two drops into our regular salsa, took up the spicy factor 100x.
Great Mexican restaurant in Palmdale. It's been here forever, but I never stopped in because I thought the outside of the building looked like a no nothing one-off place to avoid, lol! Boy was i wrong, and for years! My wife and I have made Speedy Joe's a regular thing for us now. Everything we have tried has been delicious! Some of my favorites are the burrito Colorado, the shredded beef burrito, and the taco. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I'm sorry I waited so long to give it a try, but we are so glad to have Speedy Joe's as our goto restaurant!
Don't judge by what the building looks like! Stopped in as a recommendation from a friend and the staff treat you like family, and the food is absolutely amazing! I was craving tamales and they did NOT disappoint!! Lots of food, chips, and salsa. Authentic Mexican food served by an amazing family. You can taste the love!
Been serving in the military away from California on the east. Horrible Mexican food on the east coast. When I got back home the first thing I wanted to eat was good Mexican food! I had a burrito from this hidden gem and let me tell you it was so good! The seasoning mix made my taste bugs dance. The atmosphere is genuine and western. It was a good place that made me love coming home! Had great conversations with the staff about Thailand and China that made the time pass by. Just an overall great Mexican food spot! Highly recommended!
I honestly did not expect it to be that good. Awesome salsa, great service, yummy food and clean interior. The little one got her own little salsa dish, not spicy of course. All thumbs up, We‘ll be back
The best Mexican food in the Antelope Valley, hands down. I have had several plates. The shrimp platters are tasty. I like how they serve big portions. Even the chips and spicy salsa they give you while you are waiting is tasty. The service there is nice as well as they are always friendly and attentive. I'll be back.
It's a small place. Been there forever. Great food. You should go.
Our favorite place to go! We try to go at least once a month. Two of the kids love the enchiladas. They even know it's us when we order as our kids do not like beans so must of our meals are rice only. With the take out, everything is well packaged and makes it home. Haven't had any missing items either which is awesome!
Very cute and homey little place! Service was great, prices were very reasonable to what was ordered (serving size, quality, etc), and the restaurant was clean and had a nice quiet atmosphere :-) definitely a place to go for good Mexican food! I recommend giving it a try, you really won't be let down here 😉
This restaurant is obviously a family restaurant trying to make it the old fashioned way, by trying to be better with the budget they have. The food was excellent, properly spiced, and generously portioned. The service was prompt, polite, and consistently good. The decor is the only part of the package that indicates that the restaurant doesn't have deep pockets. Please don't let it turn you off. This place should be swimming in customers.
Restaurant has a side road cafe feel to it, one you may encounter on a transcontinental road trip. In terms of the food, WOW, authentic robust flavors bursting with balanced tart and sabory flavors. Portions are good and served promply with friendly country hospitality. Will definitely become a regular stop for me and the wife. Highly recommend.
A small, laid back atmosphere. Service is very friendly and prompt. Food is delicious!!!! I highly recommend anytime you are in the mood for Mexican cuisine to make this your 1st choice!!!!!
This little Mexican Restaurant is tucked back from 10th Street West and across from Buffalo Wings. The Restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. However the food is original Mexican and is presented in an appealing manner. We have not been there during the pandemic and yet they remembered us. The server was friendly and chatty. It was not busy when we entered though people began coming into the restaurant after we were there about an hour. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Mexican cuisine.
Been wanting to go here for close to 30 years now. Was worth the wait! Food was amazing, prices fair, and it's a great atmosphere. Will be back! Check this place out if you haven't yet, you won't regret it.
we stopped by this place to check it out for dinner. The food was really good and tasty. The tacos were fresh. The service was top-tier overall a good experience.
A little place with excellent food. Club Quesadilla is to die for delicious. Hubby got Burrito Colorado with extremely tender beef. Good homemade salsa! Everyone should stop here!
Delicious! Had the Chili Verde and it did not disappoint. Pork was super tender and well marinated in flavor!
Ok, the service was great, cool little spot. Loved the food. Maybe i was just hungry... but it was awesome. More than 1 meal, I ate till full and had left overs.
Great service and delicious food. Tried the shrimp enchiladas and they were sooo good! Also ordered the albondigas soup and it was so authentic and fresh. Very tasty!! Definitely wanna go back and try everything else 🤤
Always wanted to try out this little spot for the longest. I ordered the carne asada burrito and it was delicious. One thing I noticed about their sauce (even the salsa for chips) had a lot of cumin in it, which was a bit overpowering. I'm not sure if it was just that batch or that's just their recipe, but other than that, I thought the food was great.
I love Speedy Joe’s! They have authentic Mexican food and I think I’m allowed to say that since I’m half Mexican and grew up on my grandmas authentic cooking. I have yet to try something I didn’t love. Some of my favorites are the chicken flautas, chicken tacos, enchilada suizas, quesadillas, chips and salsa. I could go on and on. Oh, their rice and beans are tasty too! That’s my daughter’s favorite part about eating here. During this pandemic they’re doing outdoor dining. Support locally owned businesses. Good service and excellent food. Prices are decent too!
Family oriented environment, friendly staff, open to talk about the menu and make recommendations. Had the wet carne asada burrito, not overly salty, sauce was flavorful without taking away from the meat profile. With the chips and salsa they bring out, I found that the portions were generous and filling. Will be back again.
One of the best places in the AV for authentic Mexican food 🌮🌯 Restaurant itself has a cozy, comfortable feel to it A chill atmosphere with hospitable employees that put you at ease and make you feel at home My friends and I love coming here for dinner 🍽 to eat good food, laugh and feel relaxed at the end of any given day ☺
First time at this restaurant and definitely wont be my last. Delicious Mexican food! Micheladas were 🔥🔥 Excellent service too.

Great food and service. Have tried something different each visit and nothing has disappointed yet 😋
This is our all time favorite Mexican food in the AV. I honestly feel like I'm at my Nanas house. The staff is awesome. Ramona was the best🫶 May she rest in Heaven.
It's a small place but the food is great The food was hot great presentation . didn't wait long for the cook to look friendly.great experience
We came here this morning for the first time, had breakfast, and it was excellent!! I ordered the chorizo breakfast, and my wife ordered the machaca breakfast. The served chips and homemade salsa, the salsa was spicy but delicious!! Both of our breakfasts were superb, and I'm looking forward to lunch one day soon. Service was great and friendly, highly recommend this restaurant!!
All around excellent on all accounts. I had the shrimp enchiladas in my friend had the chicken tacos. Both were top-notch. Shrimp tasted fresh. Chips and salsa were plentiful, my Diet Coke glass was always full. The price was right. The closest restaurant to the Fairfield inn & suites, Palmdale. Not great curb appeal, but come inside the door and you will definitely be pleased.
Speedy Joe's hits the spot! Had their taquitos and they were 🔥 - crispy, flavorful, and packed with filling. Portions are generous and the vibe is casual, perfect for a quick bite. Will be back for more of that delicious Mexican food 😋
While in Palmdale for a few days I sought out a good Mexican restaurant to visit! My research kept drawing me back to this place called “Speedy Joe’s”. Intrigued by the name, location and exterior photos, I just had to go. This place was a trip! Old school OG legit family run Mexican restaurant. Such a homey vibe with sweet folks. If I lived in the area I would be a regular here for certain. I ordered the Burrito Colorado and it was excellent! Filled with a generous portion of tender beef chunks in a red chile sauce. I can’t wait to eat here again the next time I’m in the Antelope Valley. I highly recommend this unique, standout Mexican family establishment.

Food was good, service first class, food was a little on expensive side but tasty.
It's a fun place if you take it at face value. Everytime we've been there, it's way understaffed. So, service suffers. One time, the sever and the chef were one person. However, the food is never disappointing. We always have a good time.
The food is delicious. I love the crunchy taco! The only thing is the salsa is too spicy. It has good flavor but very hot. I have a high tolerance for spice and it’s still a little too much. Idk if they have a mild salsa. I am a big fan of salsa. So if they offer a mild version they will be 5 stars!
While the server was engaged with a seated table, the lack of acknowledgment for new arrivals was a point of concern. A brief greeting or acknowledgement would have improved the initial impression and overall service experience."
Needs to serve real drinks. Service was good. Food good.. could jazz up the place. But I'll come again
Food was okay was not too my liking on the Chile rellano but enjoyed the enchilada
The burrito was good. But it had a wierd taste to it. Like dirty water taste. Maybe the seasoning, or good the cooked the beans. Not sure but won't go again. Good service. Nice people. Very cramped. Small place.
After driving by the place all my life, i thought I would give it a shot. When a coworker and I entered, we were told to sit anywhere. There are probably 6 tables in total with one long table. There were only 2 other couples in there at 6 pm. The staff quickly took our drink order but took a while for them to take our food order. We both ordered enchiladas, which were delicious and came out in a timely manner. But we never received our soup or salad. I confirmed with the male waiter that we got the combos, and he said yes. But he never asked which soup or salad we wanted. I should have spoken up, but I thought maybe it would come with the meal, so I never brought it up again. When asking for more chips and salsa to the waitress, she seemed flustered, I asked. She took the chips and salsa and only came back with chips. So I thought maybe they were out of salsa? After 10 minutes, I was finally able to get the waiter and ask for salsa. The waiter laughed saying "oh maybe it was me, I took it and forgot." I explained it wasn't, and he brought us our salsa. We got our bill, and I was shocked. They charged us full price for our combos with no soup or salad, and sodas are 4.25 each. In total, for 2 people with combos, it came to $51. The food was good, and the service was just ok. All in all, it's not worth the price. I would rather go to other locally owned restaurants that charge the same or less for better service.

If you expect Traditional Mexican food this is not your place. I ordered the burrito and chile relleno plate. The sauce used comes from a can. The meat lacked flavor and the chile relleno was more batter than anything else. The coffee was terrible. The prices should reflect on quality food and not mediocre food.

Just left the place and they dont have any of the food thats in the pics. Huge shrimp??? I didnt see that on the menu....We walked in and cleaned our own table. I ordered the Carne asada burrito with rice and beans and my wife ordered Chicken Enchiladas with the green sauce also with the rice and beans. We had 2 dosXX large beers and my bill was $47.XX. I did give them a $14.XX tip. So the food was not that great..... I may have went at a bad time or ???? But..... For $60+ for the food and service ........ No ..... Sorry guys. And when i saw $4.25 a taco ????? A Taco ????? Im not a cheap person at all but the restaurant has to match the food. And this place is just a taco stand. I can honestly say i have had better food off a truck then from this restaurant. And im talking Van Nuys taco truck. They dont even make Micheladas. Come on Vatos ..... I will be glad to come back if you can prove me wrong and all pay $$$$
I ordered the NY Cut Steak medium rare and it was well done breakfast steak. I sent it back stating it did not look or taste like a NY Strip. Instead I ordered the Shrimp Diablo and it was horrible. The shrimp was way over cooked. The sauce was terrible. I ate the shrimp because I was starving at that point but this was some of the worst food I ever had in my life.
Heater wasn't working at all my wife froze and food was not flavorful at all very bland and tap beer was way overpriced @ $9 for a schooner of beer pacifico, bud lt and was boring there no one at restaurant
