Forget what you think about restaurant names like "AK Best Cheesesteaks"—this place delivers! I usually roll my eyes at such claims, but this little gem proved me wrong. Every one of the six of us loved what we ordered. My steak Philly was wild: mozzarella, zucchini, jalapeños, onions, and asparagus. Sound weird? It was amazing. Seriously, the bread? It's legit. Tastes just like the rolls from Pat's or Geno's in Philly. They must import it. And the staff? Top-notch. Professional, articulate, and honestly better than service I've had at some fancy restaurants

Visiting from Virginia, we were looking for a locally-owned restaurant near the Reindeer Farm after spending the morning there. This spot exceeded our expectations. The service was prompt and personable (by the cook’s son) and the Philly cheesesteak was flavorful and generously portioned. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of offering homemade ranch and vinaigrette with our fries. A great local find worth visiting if you’re in the Palmer area!

Absolutely delicious and full of flavor! The food here tastes homemade, authentic, and comforting—something that’s truly rare in Alaska. My husband ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was juicy, well-seasoned, and loaded with perfectly melted cheese and sautéed onions. I had a tamal that was soft, moist, and packed with a rich, savory filling, wrapped in a corn husk that added that traditional touch. You can tell every dish is made with fresh ingredients and lots of care. A must-try spot!

Excellent Philly and tasty potato salad. The fries were crispy and tasty as well. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was good and came out fast, and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely return!

First time lunch diner. Lots of choices on the menu, I ordered the chili burger. It was tasty, but about a half cup of chili just doesn't cut it. My companions thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The biggest issue: my husband is diabetic and was drinking a diet cola. When the waiter came around with a refill, his pitcher contained regular Pepsi. We could not understand why his glucose monitor was buzzing in the car on the way home. His glucose climbed very high. Staff needs to understand that when you request a diet drink, its not always because you are watching calories.

Our first time here, but because we needed to fly out of Alaska that night, we couldn't order something that would be carried out as leftovers. Hence, we didn't order Phillies. Staff was awesome . Took the time to explained the menu items, sandwich sizes,, etc. Kept drinks filled, all around pleasant to interact with. I ordered a Ruben instead of the philly. I am always on the hunt for the best Ruben out there, and unfortunately, still looking. It was good, just not great. If I were to order one again, I would certainly request a side of sauerkraut to put on the sandwich. It did not come with 1000 island, and promptly received when ask for. I felt the sandwich only had about 1/3 the "kraut" I felt it needed. The frys were yummy, freshly cooked, well done as requested. The wife and I will come back again and order a philly one day.....stay tuned.

Love eating here and the food is great! Frustrating they are on the bandwagon with everyone else and charge you to pay with card. Why can companies understand that this is a deterrent. Give a discount to on paying with cash but don’t charge more because you can’t accept the fees of doing business. They have two different signs in the entry way, one saying they give a discount t for paying cash and another saying they charge extra for card and encourage paying cash at menu price. Which is it?

Philly steak with mushrooms & onion. Potato salad. Good sandwich but bread to meat ratios a little off. Reminds me of the old Wendy’s commercial, where the old lady saying where is the beef?

Second time in. Fries are excellent. Daughter enjoyed her gyro. I ordered the Italian. It was fine but the sauce is not to my liking as I like a hint of sweetness to it. Was more like a mashed up meatball sub rather anything that should be categorized as a Philly. Next time I think Im going for a burger.

Really great sandwich, I like the chicken cordon bleu philly. The fries are great too, nice and crispy. Portions are a little small though.

Dryest sandwich I have ever had. Not impressed at all. Got the teriyaki and the chicken ranch. Chicken on the chicken ranch was dried out and overcooked. The sides were small portions. Fries were very soggy like the deep fryer oil needs changed. Probably would have been more satisfied at a subway. This is coming from a 5 year line cook so maybe I should've read the reviews before going. The funny thing is looking at the best review on here the fries are crispy and its a good sized portion so maybe the trick is to not order to go 😉
