We walked in at 7:30 on a Saturday night and immediately found a table. Dozens of beers on the menu. The porter and stout were especially good. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food came quickly given how busy they were. We had chicken lime tacos, which were simply awesome.

Such a cool place to eat at it. Love the food every time I’ve gone. I do wish they would offer at least a couple vegan items rather than having to customize a side salad for family members but if you aren’t vegan then pick anything and you’ll be happy!

We had a wonderful dining and drink experience here. The blueberry seltzer over ice was the perfect drink on a warm, sunny afternoon. We were able to sit outside and enjoy our drinks and meals. My sandwich and fries were perfect and my husband had the wings and a Cobb salad, which he loved.

Sat outside and had a nice view of the mountains. Food and service was great. Poke nachos and brussel sprouts were 10/10! Definitely recommend stopping in here for a drink and/or bite to eat. Several in our group ordered some beers and root beer; all were well liked.

I’m not being dramatic when I say this place has some of the best food I’ve ever had. French onion soup? Reuben? Both 12/10, easy. Their Astro Phuzz and Long Trail IPA’s were top tier, and the Deep Powder Porter was one to write home about. If you have the chance, check this place out! As a tourist, I didn’t feel out of place, and it looks like the locals love it just as much.. prob more.

What a great spot. Beer flights were amazing. I had 2 different rounds and I was very impressed with the beers. I had the mushroom burger and it was delicious! The waitress was great! Very attentive. Highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing experience at Matanuska Brewery! The beers were absolutely fantastic, with a great variety to choose from. The food did not disappoint either—we had a burger and Brussels sprouts, both of which were delicious. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the Brussels sprouts were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Great atmosphere and friendly staff made the visit even better. If we lived here we would definitely be coming back!

We’ve been here twice over the last 14 months (traveling in from Texas) and they have remained an amazing spot to eat and drink. The food poke nachos, chili, and grilled cheese and soup, have been perfect as well as the service. The servers know every discount, option, flavor, and feature on the menu. What can I say about the drinks. I’ve been to breweries from Richmond to San Francisco and their beer is at or above any I’ve had in the lower 48. I’ve got the beer belly to prove it! my fiancé doesn’t even drink beer, but loves her backcountry blue. Love this place!

We had happy hour buffalo wings (half price), they were pretty tasty. Nice selection of beer, back country blue (💙 delicious), the 9.2 very high alcohol content and good tasting. The service was great, fast and very attentive.

Matanuska Brewing Company was the biggest mistake we made during our recent trip to Alaska to film our fly fishing series. From the time we arrived at the restaurant, we encountered resistance from the staff regarding seating. Our group of 14 people was crammed at a single group of tables that could only realistically seat no more than 10. So we ended up splitting off into three separate groups, which eliminated our normal sharing of appetizers and conversations about the trip and daily shoots. There were seven empty tables on the outdoor patio that the server told us were impossible to move together. But then when other groups arrived, they moved tables for them. The photo included shows a group of 5 that was seated at two tables they moved together to accommodate the small part of customers but refused to seat us in that more spacious area. There were plenty of empty tables in the section but they still refused. So it felt like they were cramming us in to maximize profits, and our comfort didn't matter. We didn't like being crammed into the dimly lit, close quarter inner dining room area. So we sat tightly - arm to arm to eat a sub-par meal. Matanuska Brewing Company was particularly uncomfortable for one of our producers because the tables we had to sit at were all high top tables, and balancing there with a sore foot was painful for him. The food at Matanuska Brewing Company was a 4 at best. Nothing more than basic bar food. Some items were brought to the table luke warm. When we asked for silverware and napkins after we got the food, we had to wait until the server figured out every single order before he gave any utensils. So the food that sat in the window for almost 10 minutes, five feet away from us getting cold, we sat even longer just for a fork and knife. The service was extremely disappointing. We travel around the globe and seldom even bother to rate restaurants if they are low performers but this one was a record-setting low. The Mantauska Brewing Company is a restaurant we will NEVER visit again and would NOT recommend.
