All thoughts are honest and reviews are my own.* Just go. That is the easiest review I can offer you for the Noisy Goose. The food is incredible; flavorful, great options and something for everyone. If you prefer breakfast, lunch or dinner any time of day, they have full menu daily. I prefer breakfast in the am and afternoon so I gravitate towards foods like that. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my husband got the chicken fried chicken. He also ordered reindeer sausage and biscuits and gravy. The food was served very hot, had tons of flavor and the portions are huge. It reminds me of southern food but an Alaskan feel. The server was attentive and friendly; she gave us refills of our coffee and water often. The restaurant itself is beautiful, so uniquely decorated and cozy. All of our local friends recommended this spot to us, and now we know why. We will be back again- thank you Noisy Goose! 10/10 would recommend.
The efficiency of the service was truly remarkable, exceeding all expectations. The speed at which the food arrived was astonishing and delightful. Even if I wanted to lick my plate clean, there was no time they were so fast. The server's humor added such a pleasant touch to the experience. Their attentiveness and positive demeanor was just a breath of fresh air. You will also never run out of coffee, I was asked about 10 times if I needed a refill and that was amazing. Overall, it was a remarkably positive dining experience and I will 100% return.
My husband and I ate here 2 days ago. We split a dish of deep fried halibut with sides. The restaurant was busy and it took about 15 minutes to be seated. But it was a pleasure for sure.
There's a reason that there is typically such a long wait for this joint. The noisy goose is iconic. The menu is intentionally hilarious. And the folks here will do just about anything to make sure your meal is done the way you want.
Hands down the BEST breakfast in Palmer. I genuinely make a point to come here every single time I’m in town. There’s just something about this place that feels like home, and it never disappoints. Their eggs benediiiiict (eggs benny forever 😍) has my whole heart. It’s rich, comforting, perfectly cooked, and hits the spot every single time. One of those meals you’re thinking about long after the plate is cleared. Whether you’re a local who wants a go-to breakfast spot or you’re visiting Palmer for the first time, this place is an absolute must. It’s been around for a while for a reason...consistent, cozy, and just really, really good. 10/10 recommend. Always. 🥞☕️✨
This is Palmers premier hometown restaurant! Lines can be long and it's worth the wait! Omelettes, steaks and all of their food are Great. The hot chocolate is ritch and delicious. Holiday decore is amazing! 10 out of 10 will eat with this Goose 🪿 again!
I have been to noisy goose a total of 5 times I believe and when I tell you this place has restored my faith in humanity I truly mean it. For starters the food is incredible. Today I got the pancakes with strawberries on them and this was the first time I ever finished a plate of pancakes, they were that incredible. Then the service I have never been happier with from anywhere else. Today the server was especially nice. I never caught her name but she was a young woman with dark straightened hair and Roman numerals tattooed around where her collar bones were. She was so kind and had soft friendly demeanor that just made the whole experience even better. And finally the atmosphere was and always is incredible, this place has a unique was of feeling homey even when is extremely busy. It feels warm and welcoming always, and truly is amazing. As someone who has only lived in Alaska for around a year now I was sad to leave my home town, it was small and homey something I thought I’d loose but the noisy goose makes me feel like I’m back home. 10/10 I recommend this place and thank you to the wonderful severs, staff, and owners who make this place the incredible place it is.
I waited about 20 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning. Groups of more than 4 were quoted 30-40 minutes. I was offered coffee as soon as I sat, which was great. The menu was exactly as it should be for breakfast, with some local Alaska additions. Eggs, potatoes, toast, bacon, French toast....all delicious. Real butter and the syrup was delicious. My server disappeared a couple of times, but allowed me to relax and not feel rushed even though there were a lot of people waiting. Definitely recommend this local spot!
The food was 👌🏽, the service was pleasant 😊 and the story/essay to get the conversation started was the best. If you don’t know what I am talking about just go, ask about the goose dance and order some hashbrowns.
The food was delicious and the service was extraordinary! We were a family of 5 and ordered chicken fried steak, meat loaf, Philly wrap, Wedding Soup and a child’s plate of pancakes. No one was disappointed. Everything was hot and well seasoned. We ordered two slices of pie to go - another tough choice from all the pies available. I highly recommend The Noisy Goose if passing through Palmer.
Best breakfast in the valley! There's always a wait, but its always worth it! The servers are really friendly, and really fast - The CF Steak & Eggs is my go too, but we've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. I really love the fact that you can sub French Toast for toast - that's awesome!
What a great little place! Hostess did amazing with the rush of clients. They have a sign in book which is just so clever. On the table was a short “about me” story and I laughed so hard I had tears running down my face. I kept it simple with a blt but the whole menu looks great. My other half had breakfast and it was made with so much TLC. Keep up the great work you guys have something special that screams Alaskan hospitality. Thank you for a great visit.
On my first trip to Alaska in 2021, the folks I was with took me to the Noisy Goose Cafe in Palmer. All the menu items looked good but, as my family knows, I'm a sucker for a good chicken fried steak. When I saw that on their menu, I stopped looking. Well, I'm here to tell you that three years ago, the Noisy Goose introduced me to the BEST chicken fried steak I'd ever had. Fast forward to 2024 and I'm back in Alaska for a memorable trip to Denali with my brother in-law. On the drive back to Anchorage, I informed him (in no uncertain terms 😂) that we would be stopping at the Noisy Goose for lunch. My brother in-law had the halibut sandwich, which he said was outstanding. Want to know what I had...🤔 As you can see, the portions for the chicken fried steak and it's sides (eggs over easy, has browns and French toast!) are enormous! But as you can also see, I ate every last bit. If you're ever in Palmer, Alaska, stop at the Noisy Goose. Of course I'd suggest getting the chicken fried steak, but the menu is extensive and all the food looks great. Enjoy!
Off the highway, this place is worth the turn off and the wait. A lively local establishment that serves up a good dose of fun, funny, and cheeky sayings adorning the walls and an even better dose of breakfast. A warning though is come hungry! The service is fast and the portions will leave you potentially only eating the one meal of the day! I'm a sucker for chicken fried steak and sausage gravy so if you're looking for a good stick to your ribs meal that's the one to order. And if you have room order the corn fritters. Fun fact - it is nice to see they still use the old school hand written check system. Brings back that diner-like nostalgia!
A very pleasant surprise! The coffee is strong and the atmosphere is amazingly simple! The bacon is some of the best I’ve ever had at a diner! The Eggs Benedict though… simply beautiful! Quite possibly the best I’ve had in my life and easily top 3! As a former long haul trucker I’ve had Benedict’s all over North America and this is the real deal!!! We will be back very soon!!
This is a long time classic Alaskan Restaurant with homestyle food that is the best in the area. It is a regular for locals and travelers. The food is expertly prepared and served with friendly and efficient staff. The prices are reasonable, they are great for families and tourists alike. Their desserts are homemade. The decor is Alaskan with wildlife abundant and Alaska pictures posted to view. Take the time to enjoy the many entertaining plaques posted everywhere on the walls. I have been going there for over 30 years with my family and friends. They have ample parking and accept credit cards. They are one of the best restaurants in Alaska. At times you may be on a waitlist but it is well worth it. In summers in addition to the many locals that go there a lot of local tourist may also join you. They honor military and veterans with a 10% discount. They have a kids menu and a senior menu.
Had the corn fritters as an appetizer. They were so good! Got the chicken fried steak. Loved it! The service was excellent. Got a slice of pecan pie to go. They truly have THE BEST pecan pie. We live in Wasilla, but have Saturday night date nights and sometimes go there for the great food and excellent ervice.
Love this place! The signs and the story behind their beginning within the community is worth the trip alone! I had the special of the day, breakfast burger, and definitely recommend it. Jess did fried chicken with onion rings and wasn't a huge fan, said it's "not worth writing home about", but oh well...win some/lose some. Oh, and the whole menu is available all day, so breakfast people unite!!
This place is apparently famous among locals...and for good reason. Excellent service, and amusing rustic atmosphere, and a breakfast that will knock your socks off. I had a country Benedict which is basically a blend of eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Hells to the yes...it was absolutely lit. Coffee was good, potatoes were good. Prices were fair on Alaska standards (understand everything is about 20% higher here than the lower 48 for good reason, it kinda sucks to get supplies in). Parking is ample and it's easy to get to. I had three stellar breakfasts in Alaska, this was one of them.
It is a cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere in this restaurant. The wait staff were all friendly, smiling and attentive to our needs. It started off quiet, but quickly filled up, however it wasn't crowded. They had good music playing in the background and it was already decorated for Christmas. I love the variety of humorous signs posted everywhere. The food was awesome, and usually is. I have had a variety of items from baked potatoes, to breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The meatloaf meal was delicious and all the food was "homemade" they mash their potatoes, and make their own meatloaf. it isn't prepackaged or instant food. Although it came to the table soon after ordering and it was hot and fresh. The chili mac soup was really good as well. I was very impressed with everything from service to the atmosphere to the taste of the food. Great job guys!

Friendly service and relaxed ambiance. Most of the food was well prepared, but not outstanding.
