Rincon has been a favorite of mine since I've been a kid. My dad used to bring me all the time. Their food is good and the red salsa is spicy and tasty. Their barbacoa and consume is really delicious and flavorful. We make tacos here at home with beans and salsa. Overall, all their food is good and their fresh juices are also yummy. Whenever you are hungry hit up this spot. You'll leave happy for sure. Peace out!

I’ve been coming here with my family since I was a kid and have even introduced some friends to it. So needless to say, I like this place. It’s consistently good food. Speaking Spanish definitely helps but I’ve noticed that they have started to call the order number out in Spanish and English. Be prepared for the hot salsa. I always ask for salsa on the side so I can control the spiciness.

Great food. I come here any time I am around the neighborhood. I love their carne asada burrito from the perfect flour tortilla to amazingly spicy hot sauce. If you're complaining about the sauce being too spicy, then you're probably too weak overall as a human being and should have asked ahead of time about the spicy levels; it is not difficult to ask for the sauce on the side.

This is THE SPOT for burritos in the valley-HANDS DOWN. Everything is so amazing and fresh, but the icing on the cake is the salsa!! It ties everything in together so well! Staff is always so friendly and they know what theyre doing when it comes to authentic Mexican food!

Big fan of the one in LA Olympic and Hoover. With it being open 24/7 and they serve beer. But I must admit the food tasted better. Noticeably better. Pricier too. But worth it.

We only get the carne asada burrito or tacos we love the green salsa but when I asked the lady for a towel to wipe the table she kept telling me they were too busy I said give me the towel I'll wipe the table they did not reply they did not respond they just looked at me funny so there was a roll of paper towels close to the counter I grabbed them took four off put water on the counter and wiped it down that seemed to work just fine but as far as the food they do a really good job on their tacos and burritos

Tacos and sopes are tasty the meats got flavor. The carnitas was a little dried up for me but maybe because it was already past 12 so maybe avoid that after 12 might be already dried up or just microwaved for too long. The plates are worth it also

This place is the best Mexican food restaurant 🌮 that I know of and I'm considered a BLEXICAN 🤔....... Well at least that's what my friends say, I'm from Chicago but I grew up in L.A and Chicago back and forth my whole life, so I know a thing or 2 about a thing or 2 and when I say this place is the best to me I mean it. Unless you feel like heading to the East side and visit "KING TACO" then that's a whole nother story 🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️😂🤣🌮💥💪🏾💯🔥

Been going here for years. The food is good although I feel like the quality has gone down especially for the price. But every once in a while I crave it but it’s been a hit or miss. I usually get the carne asada torta or carne asada tacos.

Honestly was hoping for more...place looked interesting upon 1st glance but the luster has washed off a while ago...food was decent but higher than average for the area...the decor is sort of bisgusting...there are stuffed bull heads from bull fighting rings labeled with plaques all around the restaurant...im not an activist but still knowing that these but knowing that these animals were killed in a ring is sort of sad...but its the disgusting state of upkeep on these "Monuments" that is the big turn off...years of accumulated dust and grease and flys and bugs and stuff caught in the fur and hanging over the tables and waiting line...ewwwwww! But food was decent...just makes me wonder if the staff washes their hands ????

I went in for my lunch, I had called ahead of time so they could have the food ready for pick up, but they dont start the food until you get there... so what's the point of phone orders, anyways I got there and the line was out the door and the cashier seemed like she didnt know what she was doing. I waiting for 15 minutes for the next guest to go up and I was on a 30 min lunch. I left, if you want something quick I suggest a different spot, if you are in no rush eat here. Been there before and the food is delicious! Just the wait is miserable

The food, based on our multiple burrito purchase was awesome. Great flavors going on, 5 star on the food. However, zero stars for the drink prices. For a 16 ounce size of iced tea in a styrofoam cup with a lid and straw: $3.83. with tax. Unbelievable! So I asked the gal at the register to repeat it two more times, maybe the mask or the plastic shield between her and I was deflecting some of the sound. She repeated "$3.83 for the drink, and no refills." My mouth dropped. A really foolish thing to do to your customer, who would otherwise come back for their food. Food cost for the iced tea is somewhere between .20-.35 cents, with the cup/lid/straw. Unfathomable.....that someone in management would approve such an indiscretion against a customer. Meanwhile, two blocks away at the Mcdonalds: a large Coke is $1.09 with tax.

I'm only giving it a , 3 because usually the food is good. Today was the worst. I have been coming here for many many years the food is good except the costillas rancheras they always over cook them. Today the cashier at around 11am was in a bad 😞 bad mood. Her attitude was just mean. Then the tortillas from the cheese quesadilla, all the taco tortillas, burritos 4 in total we all order were cold so the tortilla was hard to swallow. Then the cashier had gotten confused. Instead of ordering me two tacos de pastor she order two tortas. I didn't mind I'm like I'll take them home and eat them later. But in the evening when my son was going to eat it he found a hair in the torta. It was discussing a very bad experiencefor my teen. my first at any taurino that all this happened. Not sure if they all had a bad morning or they were in such a hurry they didn't do their job right but hopefully a manager reads this so he can talk to his employees.

Ladies were not friendly. Gave me a dirty look when I asked for my drinks and for lemon. As if I was bothering them. Wont be back. Tacos are decent though. Thats why they got 2 stars instead of just 1.

Well I Loved this ..... but the people that work here need to lear how to be nice. Other times they’ve accomadate my allergy to onions. I just can’t have fresh onions. This time I went and she said that they didn’t have cilantro by itself. Ok that’s fine I guess just plain with Chile. I had orderd 2 carnitas, didn’t like them tasted old. So I asked if I can change them because the meat didn’t taste good. And she proceeded to tell me, “well you orderd carnitas, so then i told her that the meat tasted bad and old. Instead of saying yes of course we will get you new ones. She just took them, and told another lady making the tacos, “que a hesta no le gustaron los tacos.” The drinks took a very long time to get. Everyone in there were just plain rude!! Oh and they don’t have rábanos, what taqueria does not have rábanos. I will never go back to this place. Not worth the drive anymore!!! I live about an hour away from this place but was willing to drive out there just for these tacos!! They need to have rábanos, plain cilantro, and friendlier people, is that too much to ask!!

It use to be the best Mexican food ever but those days seem to be long gone. After moving out of the valley I still went out of my way to swing by and pick up some of their amazing tacos. The food is okay but the restaurant is very dirty the floors look like they’ve never been cleaned and the tables are always sticky and unclean there’s also dust EVERYWHERE . It’s makes my appetite go away so I literally can’t eat in there . I wonder how clean their kitchen is if their seating areas are that dirty. Idk how they even pass inspections ! I also don’t know how people don’t care about the cleanliness ?? That’s why this place is never thoroughly cleaned because no body cares to speak up about it AND the red salsa tastes like it was made with tapatío foreals , they give it to you in such a small container like waaay small BUT they charge you 80 cents for it.

This food might be authentic, but not delicious. For starters, beans where over cooked and made my carne asada burrito taste dry and threw it all off. The meat tasted and looked like last nights left overs. It was not fresh at all, maybe I should of gone later so yesterdays meat would of been served to the morning suckers. (Me) My review is based on the burrito only, maybe the other stuff on the menu is better, but I'm not coming back to find out. I've been coming to this establishment for over 30 years, started visiting the location in Los Angeles when I was in my 30's.. I am sad to say that the culture of the Hospitality has greatly deteriorated. The staff at the two Valley locations over the past 5 years have been rude and short with me as a customer. I spent usually 20 dollars for food items and If I ask for additional red sauce, I am refused! and with a attitude! I visited yesterday evening at 9 :30 pm , I was not allowed to eat inside because they roped off the customer seating area!!!. A employee looked at me like I was crazy for wanting to sit down for my meal. All the customers after me look annoyed and also frustrated for not being allowed to sit . We pay good money $$$ here for Tacos,not cheap. The staff do what they want with customers. I don't want to contribute much more of my money here anymore, not coming back.

My family and I visited yesterday. The food was good, but the costumer service was ridiculously rude. Not one employee was friendly or polite. From the cashier to the lady preparing our meal. There was also a lady preparing something by the fountain drink area who was literally dipping her fingers into whatever it was and put it in her mouth. I couldn't even ask for the bathroom code without getting attitude from employees. All the ladies had a defensive tone. If the owner wonders ever why their business isn't doing better or suffering just know its due to the poor costumer service provided by their employees provide.

Food is tasty but they have terrible customer service. They charge even for lemons, salsa and napkins! They have very bad attitude. And don’t even try to use the restroom, they are not even close to clean and lack of privacy. No doors! Zero stars!

I ordered burrito two tacos and a torta cubana 11/29/2023 the burrito was way to small and squishy the tamarindo taste like it was spoiled the lady was cutting some kind of meat with no gloves no hair nets I swear this place went down hill it’s super trash got my money back and went to Michoacán on roscoe same price higher quality food never again

Worst customer service ever my daughter order a vegetarian burrito and while she was eating it she found 2 pieces of meet. When I asked the cook to please make her a new one she made it sound like it was my fault. They asked me to pay for the tortilla and they would make me a new one. I wasn't going to pay for a tortilla after just spending 60 dollars so we didn't get a replacement.

I wish I could give it at least a 4 Stars because the food is pretty good. But the staff are terrible. Every time I go there it’s the same chubby grumpy ladies, gossiping. When I order I sometimes have to repeat myself because as I’m saying what I want the cashier keeps turning and side talking with the one cooking so she doesn’t pay full attention. The service here is terrible! The tacos are okay but you can honestly find good tacos with better service somewhere else. They are extremely stingy with the salsa so if you like salsa on your tacos you will be disappointed they give one VERY SMALL salsa for your entire order and if you ask for more they will make a bad face at you and make you pay extra and then still go complain about you. The server and cashier are very Rude I been going there for many years but some of the women need to change there attitude what happened to customer service. Not worth eating at this place. I been to the one In L.A. that Rincon Taurini is exceptional for the price and place. This place the horchata was more cinnamon, and lots of sugar not like I need to become diabetic as there sugar wised. Chicken taste nasty if you don’t put sauce you weren’t able to eat. Next, after eating a chicken torta my stomach was just upset. I would highly recommend going to an authentic Mexican restaurant not this place. Tables aren’t clean you have to clean to dine in. Horrible experience wouldn’t recommend. Also, over priced on the menu prices not worth the food or restaurant cleanliness. Grade F-

What are you guys doing you need to update the restaurant the tile looks old the front workers need to wear hair nets I went in today 11/26/2023 and a customer told the workers that she found a hair on her food then they mest up another ladies burrito im going to be calling public health I don’t think you guys are keeping up with everything fire the front ladies they talk way too much instead of working what’s going on you got people soliciting inside the store I have no idea 1/5 stars pick up your act it was once good i don’t care about the prices but if your a nasty restaurant and your charging those prices I don’t think u guys should b open for business

Customer service SUCKS!!! The food is good but seriously the only thing you don't get charged for is napkins. No salsa bar and foutain drinks are $2.55 NO REFILLS. Every employee we dealt with was RUDE, no smile and very sarcastic. If I could do negative stars I would.

I been coming to this place for years since I was a teenager. Today particularly I ask for a burrito Masada and 2 tacos de pastor and a hope no Chile I can't eat Chile. Older lady in charge gave an attitude when I asked for extra lettuce on an order. She than said they would have to charge extra for the lettuce I asked to speak to the manager and the younger workers said she was the manager. She then refused to add more lettuce when I said it was okay to charge me extra. Poor customer service.

Honestly, this place used to be the best Mexican cuisine in the Sanfernando Valley, now its below average. You will be over charged for low quality food, the flavor this food once had is gone, it is now bland and not fulfilling 😑 Very small portions for such little food. If you want to be ripped of, by all means, go ahead, I for one will never set foot in this place again.

I have being coming for many years from LA we always make a drip to San Fernando to have a good consomé and a Super Macho drink. We spend around $250.00 these last visit with all my family and we don’t expect to be threaded very poorly. The cashier elder woman was very rude and unprofessional not only to us but as well to others who where ordering after us. The food may be good but the customer service is definitely the worst I’ve ever experience. Not coming back ever and would look for a different restaurant to take my money too. Super sad to post this because i remember being a young man and after a long day I would stop here and get a burrito and a drink and it was affordable and very filling , today i went and spent nearly $40 on a burrito the size of a fruit roll up and “asada” fries, the fries were a cheap excuse , just fries and sprinkles of meat almost like as of they scraped it off the grill and , a room temperature disk of cheese , and that was it , no pico no salsa no nacho cheese no sour cream just plain , i hope this review finds it self to the owners so they can fix how this place is , its been here forever and would love for it to make a come back

Been going to this restaurant for years since I was a wee lad. I went to school in San Francisco and would visit my family out here in Van Nuys, I wouldn't be able to leave back to school without stopping by here. Food was always great, I put so many people on. Lately tho, the prices have risen so much that stopping by here to eat these delicious tacos have become less frequent. Quality of the food remains delicious, the salsa? SPICY, the service? TERRIBLE. Yes... The service has changed so much from what I remember. Everybody gotta have an attitude for the slightest things. Need a refill? ATTITUDE want more salsa? ATTITUDE have a question about your receipt ATTITUDE. This review is mainly for the woman that took my order. I was confused to ask why my order of 6 tacos w/ cheese was almost $28 dollars. When I kindly asked, she belittled me and tried to act like I was a 5 year old or something. Once I noticed the attitude I told her thank you to hopefully carry on, but she insisted on rubbing it in my face. Anyway, everybody else that works there are great, they are like family since I've known them since I was a wee lad. Leave it to the prices and salty attitude to destroy such a lovely bond I've had with the restaurant. I've grown distant from eating here but it's now official... We're done 💔

9:30pm 4-28-21 the lady who was packing the food and giving the salsa has a bad attitude. I ordered 12 tacos only gave me 6 then accused me of lying when I had left with my order under 2min ago, who is able to eat 6 tacos in under a minute. Then didn’t want to give me 5 salsas in total for my other 3 burritos I had ordered. She said she put it in the bag when I got home he only gave me 2 salsas. Very disappointed. Won’t be going back. She needs to get fired and the place needs better customer services!!!

The food quality has dramatically decreased, the prices are very high and it does not justify the portion sizes of the items. I used to love coming here but I noticed through the years that it's gotten worse and worse, Go to King Taco in Glendale instead, and avoid this place as well as the one on Nordhoff and Van Nuys. Rincon Taurino is not worth spending you hard earned money. The meats look, taste and feel old like they've been sitting for hours and everything seems old, even the tortillas feel like they are reheated and are rubbery. Just go somewhere else.

Ordered several burritos yesterday with no salsa, asked for salsa on the side but was told only one salsa per burrito. If you’ve been there you know their salsa containers are tiny. How is one tiny salsa container supposed to be enough to enjoy a burrito. We should at least be given two salsas on the side. They are extremely stingy with their salsa yet they sell overpriced food. Definitely considering not returning based on that and their poor customer service. They need to work on not being so rude to their customers.

Sometimes the foods decent and its kind of convenient living down the street from it as a college student that works full time but honestly theyre so rude here, every single time. Super stingy with the toppings and sauce when you request more than a sprinkle of it, even though you just spent $50+. Unlike every other mexican restaurant ive ever been to they charge you for a side of jalapenos, and theyre not even cooked whole jalapenos its literally sliced pickled jalapenos out of the can. The burritos are tinier every time with little meat and the tacos have practically no meat and its also usually old meat. Sorry for the bad review but i genuinly wouldnt eat here. Ive spent thousands here but its gotten worse every time, I wont be back.

I been coming here for years and the quality of food has been going down. I ordered a sope and it was hard as a rock. I will no longer go to this restaurant.

I ordered two chicken flautas, and it usually comes topped with lettuce, crema, avocado salsa and queso Cotija. And it had none of that!

Stopped by to get some tacos and a burrito. The cashier lady kept using a Kleenex to wipe her nose and kept using her hand to cover her sneezing. After I paid, she went to the drink dispenser and DID NOT WASH HER HANDS to dispense and hand me my drinks. On top of this when my order was called, the taquero hands me my bag of food with his greasy gloves full of minced meat and residue. There is no cleanliness or sanitary standards at this restaurant. Good luck not getting sick.

If I could give zero stars I would growing up my dad would take us here every weekend they have exaggerating priced the food n not to mention the barbacoa was pure bones $59.00 for lil bit meat n bones with tortillas joke would like my$ back is not the same they don't even have the white napki s with the original locations in them wack now don't waste your time or? I do not recommend this place whatsoever. The service was horrible. They were very rude and had Me and my friend waiting like 10 minutes before they even took our order and we were the only customers in line at the moment. When the order was received, it was burnt and I told the lady that it’s burnt And she said no, it’s not and I said yes it is look at It and then she said, well I can make you a new one but you’re going to have to wait a long time. Even if I ordered a new one, I wasn’t able to wait because I was in my lunch so I took it anyway I was like let me give her the benefit of the doubt and let me check it and I will post pictures of how it looked it was definitely burnt And it had so much oil.. Do not come here, especially if you’re in your lunch break or even want to try the food DON’T because You will get bad customer service and the quality of the food is not good. Well at least in this location.

There’s no sign indicating where to order, so I stood at the counter for eight minutes while some airhead lady behind it was preparing sodas. Don't come here if you don't want to get mad. They take so long to make and serve food. It's ridiculous the amount of time they take for simple dishes like tacos. They are very very stingy also. They treat their mediocre tasting salsa as if it was gold. And give you tiny little containers of salsa and say only 1 salsa per 2 tacos. And if you want an extra salsa that'll be $1.25 more. Each! They're tacos are tiny little tacos and they're not even that good. I ordered the chicharrón and it is soggy and meatless. And they don't have plain chicharrón its either red or green sauce pre made for a plate style serving but not for tacos. And there isnt any meat. I asked for tacos with no salsa no veggies no toppings just chicharrón and tortilla and they served me tiny little tacos and smooshed both together in a foil. It was depressing. And they added salsa and veggies after i asked for none. I tried to get some extra salsa because those mini salsa containers to me are good for 1 taco each. They tried charging me $2.50ish for 2 more salsas. I ordered 4 tacos 2 with green sauce chicharrón and 2 with red sauce chicharrón since they didn't have plain unsoaked chicharrón. All restaurants and corner taco stands allow you to serve your own salsa, onion, cilantro, etc except for Rincon Taurino. Great thing Gallo Giro restaurant was on the corner of Van Nuys & Roscoe not to far away. I was able to serve me some extra salsa and veggies for free. And the salsa was better. It's not like bums are going to serve themselves a bunch of salsa. And take off. There is no reason to hide salsa and treat it as if it was gold and charge for tiny little containers of salsa that isnt even that good. Sharkeys has salsa and topping you can serve for free. All taco joints like Taco Llama and etc have salsa you can serve yourself. I found an amazing taco stand for fresh made carnitas & chicharrón on Laurel Canyon Rd & Osborne. Right in front of Target. The tacos are HUGE and DELICIOUS! You can even order carnitas or chicharron by the lb or half lb. The chicharron is meaty also. You will fall in love. And of course the salsa and topping are free. They even have guacamole thats self serv and its super delicious and chunky. The habanero sauce is soooo good. They have this veggie mix that has habanero pieces with red onion and its out of this world but its spicy. They have red and green salsas also. And they're aguas frescas are fresh and delicious and only $5. And they even make they're tortillas fresh! Don't wast your time or gain negative energy from these food places that don't care about their customers. The only good thing about Rincon Taurino is the fruit & vegetable healthy drinks and aguas frescas since they make them fresh right in front of you. Other than that the food is blah and the time you have to wait is insane! And if your a salsa lover like me you will only be left dissapointed and betrayed.

The food is great but the customer service is garbage. My husband and I walked in and we are standing at the register waiting to order and the 2 females that were directly in front of us IGNORED US. (I was like okay, they may be super busy, but there was only 2 people ahead of us waiting) we stood there for over 7 minutes with no acknowledgment from the workers. The customer that was waiting for his food approached us and told us to just order on the other end of the restaurant. So sweet of him. You would think that’s it, but then my husband is asking for the code to use the restroom after we placed our order and this specific worker continued to ignore us. Now I’m getting pissed because what is her reason? She’s been rude from the second we walked in smh. I then make my voice known and say “Muchacha cual es la clave para el baño de hombres?” She looks at me and walks away without saying anything. That is some shitty service. Businesses go downhill because of employees like these. We visited this location 8:47pm on 7/28/25.

🛑If you’re coming here for the tacos, they’re absolutely amazing! But if you’re expecting great customer service, be prepared for disappointment. They charge for a to-go bag, and even asking for hot sauce feels like a hassle. The cashier in the black shirt, in particular, had a terrible attitude tonight. Really hoping they improve because the food deserves better service!
