Had a really pleasant experience at Alfred’s! Amazing iced latte and the best gf muffin. As someone who is gluten free, I will be coming back just for their gf treats. I really appreciated the barista, Amelia, who was extremely friendly and sensitive to my food allergies!

Audrey was really fun to talk to. I really love lavender and matcha she told me the coffee shop is known for their lavender matcha. It’s no joke amazing drink will come back often to order it!

This place is amazing!! It was my first time here and I was confused on what to order. As I was talking to my barista, Jessica, she recommended the iced oat matcha with vanilla and it was delicious!! Will definitely be coming back after such a great and yummy experience!

Great coffee ☕️ We walked to this nook of a coffee gem, as we had an hour wait for breakfast. The place was packed on Saturday morning so service was slow but understandable. If you are in Pasadena downtown you must stop and try their world famous vanilla latte!

I very much enjoyed their matcha latte. It seems like they use high quality matcha and I liked their matcha to milk ratio. The latte had a vibrant green color and tasted very smooth. You can order it unsweetened or sweetened. I prefer lightly sweetened.

Jessica at Alfred is an absolute gem! Not only does she brew up some of the best coffee in town, but her vibrant personality and genuine warmth light up the whole cafe. As a fellow ginger, she brings that extra touch of spice to everything she does. Whether it's crafting your favorite latte or just sharing a friendly chat, Jessica's presence makes every visit to Alfred memorable. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, you're truly missing out on one of the highlights of the coffee scene!

I normally order online but since I was in the area I had to stick up on their World Famous Vanilla Syrup. It’s one of my favs. I use it every morning in my matcha latte.

It was my first time in Old Town and I'm glad I stopped by Alfreds. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately charmed by the atmosphere and greeted by the baristas. Audrey was so helpful and took the time to explain the different drinks they offered. I decided to go with the Chagaccino and really enjoyed it -- just the right amount of spice and sweetness to complement their espresso. I enjoyed it so much that I even bought a pack of their Chagaccino mix to go! I will definitely come back and try their other drinks next time I'm in Pasadena.

The sweetness levels in drinks vary but are customizable. The drinks themselves are good, I’ve yet to try one I dislike.

The place had a line but it went quickly and my Americano came quickly as well. Nothing was special about the coffee. The area, Old Pasadena was cool, though. That was the best part.

I gave this place 4 stars because your experience there depends on a barista you get that day. Most of their baristas are great, however I had a pretty bad experience with young blond female barista with shoulder-length hair. My drink wasn’t made right (I know it because I have been ordering that drink from them for years), and I politely asked to remake it. She got angry and quickly made a drink that was as sweet as a syrup. It got me nauseated very quickly and I had to leave without getting what I paid for. I don’t understand that passive aggressive attitude because I left good tips and was friendly throughout the whole experience. I feel like it’s not fair to completely avoid this location, just make sure that that specific worker doesn’t make your drink.

Alfred Coffee-Pasadena is a coffee shop. I have been to their LA store in EchoPark but this store is definitely smaller. I ordered a Café Au Lait. If I say it’s great, I know words would choke me. Haha! Coffee was simply okay at best. Staff were competent and friendly. Service was on point. Prices are quite expensive. Overall, I had a good order and coffee.

Mediocre coffee, difficult to find good one after people give too easily 5 stars for really normal coffee (and happy to pay 6 $ for a small cup of coffee“cold brew“ with ice cubes in it - which obviously waters down the anyway not too special taste)

Below average cafe. Food and coffee isn't good. Don't bother going here. Probably only because of the location they are attracting and getting people. If it was out of DT, I wouldn't see them go for more than a month or two.

Waited in line for 15 minutes to buy a bagel at 10 AM and they apparently “SOLD OUT” Okay sure but next time please put a sign outside saying you have no food? Not the first time I wait in line wasting time because you have no food

Very disappointed! I ordered a hot chocolate with whole milk, but they made it with oat milk. My little one did not like it at all! Also, they charged me extra for it. So, I brought it to their attention, but they did not handle it professionally, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Almost no vegan options and ALWAYS sold out of the few they do have + bagels. A shame bc it’s pretty good. They also can’t do modifications bc the food arrives pre made as a daily delivery. Wish they would be more organized with their food orders so they don’t run out of everything by 10AM everyday…

The coffee here is overpriced, and the company is trying to blackball other locally owned cafés within the industry. Don’t support a company that is hostile and aggressive to small businesses!

We bought a latte to use the bathroom. Our kid just had to go to the bathroom right at close and a man employee with glasses denied us access. Hire some more empathetic employees please and not folks that just check in and check out. Not considerate at all.
