I came here for the all you can eat skewers. The decor is unique. They have a self-serve sides (cucumber, onion, daikon, and powdered spice toppings), and sauce bar where you can also refill your water cups. The setup is like how they do it in S. Korea. You order your food on the electronic menu at the table. You can order up to 4 items at a time. If you want to order more, you have to wait a few minutes where you can then place an order for more. For the sides, you can order your items once. After that, you pay for extra. I tried the lamb, beef, pork, tofu, and chicken skewers. For the sides, I got the fried rice (it's actually sticky rice), chow mein (tasted like garlic noodles), mala soup (they use a spice that is numbing), and coconut shrimp. The "fried rice" was okay. Everything else was delicious. My friend and I was about to order more, but we decided to wait. Good thing we did; we ordered less than originally planned. The chef was amazing and friendly. We were happy with our visit and plan to come back! They have a rewards program that we signed up for. It's metered parking or structure parking where you pay. Metered parking is free during the holidays (they're listed on the meter).
Since it is AYCE, I was worried about getting server's attention to order. However, it was very easy to order through the tablet. Getting the most out of my money! The food was of course great :) I loved chicken skewers. I am really wondering if this place is profitable. Such a great price!!! Amazing crews, very helpful!! <3
Great place for Chinese skewers - the pork and chicken was our favorite. The beef was a bit dry. AYCE skewers come in at $25 a person but for $5 more you get appetizers like gyoza, shrimp, tempura, takoyaki, egg rolls, etc. Parking is street parking. Service was great.
Was here with friends on Lunar New Year, really like this place: amazing food, beautiful design, unique drinks and very friendly atmosphere. They had a karaoke night that time, so everyone could sing a song getting to know each other. Also, there is a beautiful photo station, where you can take a picture in traditional Korean dress😍 Was so good, we noticed the time only when it was 11:30pm😆 It still stayed open after we left.
This was my second time coming to eat lunch here, the first time I came and ordered the Pork katsu, it was so delicious! It came out fast and fresh! I went with 2 other coworkers and they also enjoyed the pork katsu! I came back today and they have bento meals for lunch, I got the beef bulgogi bento and it was so good! It came with rice, kimchi, cucumber, egg, mandu, and a salad! It was so good! I love the kimchi I had to get another side of it! Everything came out so fast and tasted so good! I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a quick lunch! The staff were so nice and helpful both times.
There are a decent amount of bad reviews as to the service and pricing but the food was delicious. Yes some things took more time than one would like & yes, the prices really are a bit much, but the food was great. They brought in some snacks on the house while we waited for the food (maybe they’ve read the reviews?) I’d come back for sure but hopefully they’ll be able to improve a bit in line with some of the reviews. I usually don’t eat meat but it was a group dinner, but also they didn’t have ANY veggie options! :(
Nice location! The food is authentic! We ordered soup, chicken rice (highly recommended) , seafood pancake and the meat. All taste delicious! They have amazing wine soju menu. Its a good place to hang out with friends.
Great food and fast service! I enjoyed everything here. Portions are small enough that if doing AYCE, you can have a little bit of everything.
Pros: - Delicious food! Went here for Dine LA 2023. The dinner menu was on point. We’re so glad we came because everything was delightful! Chef Paz was so good! We love how she infused the Filipino tocino to the menu. - Cozy ambience: spacious, airy - Friendly staff - Good service Cons: - Parking
Wow, really impressive with what they have done to the previous Indian restaurant! First off, service very attentive and good selection of drinks and Asian beers 🍺. The seafood pancake was so delicious, the Dynasty lobster boa was just amazing and the chicken skewers were juicy! I’ll be back, yummy Asian comfort food
Very delicious noodles and chicken, i don’t remember ever I tasted noodle so good, but they were out of most of stuffs on menu, so I replaced meat with chicken, it is fusion of Korean and Japan food, they just opened 2 months back and there are lots of things that they are still doing in the restaurant
The perfect meal is when two types of cravings can be satisfied in one sitting, and at Jumak, that exists🫶🏼 This Fast “Grab and Go” dining concept in Old Town Pasadena has an incredible deal with AYCE Skewers for $25 and an even better one with AYCE skewers AND sushi for $38 per person, ✨So why not get the best of both worlds in one meal?✨

Went here during their soft opening. They’re on the southwest corner of Raymond and Union, adjacent to the parking structure. We ordered a little bit of everything. The lamb skewers were by far my favorite thing. The galbijim was also very good. The carrots and potatoes absorbed so much flavor from the meat and stew.
Food was very delicious. The best skewers were the pork and chicken and the gyoza was delicious. The music inside felt like I was at a rave which I loved, it brought me back to my edc days. Overall a good place with good food.
Interesting restaurant. The food is tasty and presented well, and the interior design is very unique. My chair was a pair of hands. When I went they were understaffed though, and the food took suuuuper long to come out. The waiter was very apologetic though. They specialize in smaller dishes that are like tapas.

My friends came from the Bay Area, and I was looking for some cool places for us to get together. I researched on Yelp and found a few places, including Jumak. My friends chose this place because the pictures on Yelp looked really nice and interesting. The decor seemed cool too! We came on a Saturday, and I made a reservation for a party of 5 on Yelp for 7 pm.This restaurant don't have a parking lot, but there is a nearby garage with 90 minutes of free parking. There is also free street parking near the church. Upon arrival, the restaurant wasn't full, and only two ladies in front of me were waiting. Since I had a reservation, we were seated almost right away. However, we were placed at the back of the restaurant where the server couldn't see us most of the time. The restaurant had only two servers for the whole place. We asked for recommendations on what to order, and with their suggestions, we ordered the pork belly roll, salmon seaweed roll, mac and cheese ball, sullungtang, galbi udon pasta, and galbi jjim. By 8 pm, there was no sign of any food. We inquired about our orders, mentioning it had been almost an hour since we arrived. The server explained they were short-staffed and apologized for the wait. Another 10 minutes later, we received our first appetizer, the mac and cheese balls. After a little bite, there was another waiting period. My friend's 12-year-old daughter was hungry, so my friend took out a bag of M&Ms and told her to eat it for now. Then, we noticed the table of 10 next to us, who arrived after us, getting some food. Another friend got upset and talked to the server, expressing our dissatisfaction. We asked the server to bring us whatever food was ready and not to wait for everything. About 10 minutes later, they started bringing out the pork belly rolls and the sullungtang. After that, came the galbi jjim, followed by the salmon seaweed rolls. The galbi udon arrived last. The food was alright, but nothing worth waiting an hour for. The galbi udon was salty, and my friends didn't like it. The galbi jjim was also fatty, but at least you eat that with rice. My friend explicitly told the server that the lukewarm food indicated they didn't bring us the food as soon as possible. It felt like a deliberate waste of our time, and on top of that, we were hungry. The customer experience was horrible, and even if the meal is free, it's still a bad experience. They offered to give us half off on our bill and kept apologizing for the wait due to being short-staffed. Eventually, they gave us a $50 voucher for next time. In the end, I believe the owner or manager came out, apologized again, and offered us free cake and ice cream. I don't want to be harsh on this restaurant because I could tell they really tried. Honestly, they might have problems hiring. My suggestion is to limit the menu if they are short-staffed or be upfront and tell the customers before seating them that there will be a long wait for food. There are many restaurants in Old Town, and it's easy to walk out and go to another one. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant, at least during lunch or dinner time. If I were to go again, I would choose off-hours and hope that maybe I am the only party they serve during that time.

Notice the pics in this review? Lots of sushi. Is it good? I guess so, but why did they have to mask everything with that much ponzu sauce, if the sashimi itself was already fresh? We waited a long time for the skewers, and they never came. When we addressed it with them, it took so much time to get the order fixed. They even sent us another table's potato swirls, which most likely means they sent our order to another table, and that table didn't say no I guess. When the skewers did come, it was OK, but not worth our wait. Throughout the night, even the next table to us kept having to say, "this isn't our order" and a lot was sent back. So if you're here on a Saturday night wondering why this place is so empty, don't think you found a diamond in the rough.
Was excited to try this place out but so disappointed in the reviews. We walked in on a weekend at ~12:45 PM but ended up being the only people in the entire restaurant. Ordered the lobster bao and the tobiko pasta to share for a light lunch based on pictures but once the food came out we were disappointed in the portion sizes given the price and other photos we saw online (the pasta in my picture was way smaller than it looks, maybe ~6 in in diameter). The food took a long time to come out, and it didn't live up to what ended up being a ~$70 meal. I don't think I'd come back given the other options in Old Pasadena. 😔

TLDR: Waited 30 minutes for raw skewers on a slow night, not great side options, needs better quality food and service but is ideal for large parties if food is better I really hate writing reviews like this especially for a place that has such high potential. I was excited when this place was opening close by. What pushed me to write a 1 star review as that the skewers we ordered were RAW. The pork wasn't cooked all the way through on multiple skewers. We could forgive one but after the one 4 more were raw and that's half the order of 10 skewers. Additionally, they ran out of beef skewers. We were there on a Saturday night. What seemed like a red flag is we were one of 2 parties eating there at peak dinner time.... The sides bar were a bit lacking with only 2-3 options for sides and very little sauce choices. The only good thing we ordered were the fries. The fries are thicker and steak cut but fried to perfect crispiness. Service was a bit questionable as well as we had to order from the system ourselves and it's a bit confusing. Additionally, once ordered, the food wasn't brought to the table but we were called for to come walk and pick up our tray. This is not too much of a big deal of course but the pork being raw just made the experience feel worse. I think the skewers are charcoal roasted? Which is a preferred way of doing it but it's worth to note that this means longer cooking times. We had a significant wait for raw skewers )-: The interior is well designed and they have fun K-pop music playing. This place looks promising for a night out with a big party but many things about experience and food quality need to be improved. Since it's newly opened, we hope it gets better with this feedback!
Unless you have time to waste, a lot of patience, and don't mind an overpriced menu, I would not recommend this place. I wish I read the bad reviews beforehand because they are all true. Visited for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The wait time was incredibly long and the place only had 2 other tables (4 ppl total) while we were there. Tables were not cleaned for half the time we were there, so they were probably understaffed. I was confused when a table that came after we ordered received their drinks before us. I believe they had forgotten but they came up and asked and then they made the soju martini and finally served it probably 20min. after I ordered it. It was super strong, so worth it. We ordered the Salmon crunch taco appetizer. It was not crispy like expected, and definitely not worth $17. It came out 30min. after ordering. We weren't given any utensils, so we had to ask for some. The next plate came out 20 min later, and was unfortunately wrong.. we ordered Eel and they served us a salmon plate. They took it back, and we proceeded to wait another 15 or so minutes for another plate to come out. The pasta dish was pretty good and had a smoky flavor. I felt really bad for my brother who was the most hungry out of us all, and he had the plate that was wrong, so he waited an additional 20 minutes for them to bring it out, so he was sitting there for over an hour waiting for food. I think it's completely unacceptable to bring food out at drastically different times, and having customers wait over an hour to eat when the place isn't even busy. Most other places would have the decency to comp something or give a small discount for the inconvenience if they really cared about customers returning. I had to wait at the front for 5-10 minutes for a staff to come out of the kitchen so they could provide me with the restroom door code.. Really wish I didn't waste my time traveling to try out this place, it was a disappointing experience and I will not return or recommend it to anyone.
