Best chips and salsa I've had in Pearland. It's really weird to me that they took all the chimichangas off the menu (except "The Big Daddy Changa"), when that's basically the food they're named after. Luckily you can still order the other chimichangas. Chicken chimichanga was delicious. Well filled and served with guac and queso.

Love love love this place. We travel over 30 minutes just to eat here whenever we are in the Houston area. We need a Jimmys somewhere around Austin!!! Everything is always amazing-food,drinks,service & the shrimp empanadas with creamy cilantro sauce.

It’s an amazing experience me and my friend went there. They have ice cream and a playground. The bathrooms are nice and neat and clean. My favorite part is when my friend ordered quesadillas with no cheese.🤣🤣🐵🐵

I usually get takeout from Jimmy Changas but this time we went inside and ate at the restaurant. I love the look of the place and it looks like a very nice place to eat with friends and family. I would love to try all the other types of quesadillas that they have whenever I come to eat and I will for sure come here to eat more often.

Great place to come with your family! I have 4 children and the playground is a godsend. Came in on a Friday night with an 8 top. They estimated a 50 minute wait and sat us in 20. My family came in from out of town and they could not stop talking about the atmosphere and ambiance of this place. Dinner for 2 w/ drinks $50 2nd Review.. this place always lives up to the expectations. Best fajita in town, drinks are strong but still tasty, and you can't go wrong with any of the starters. Line can be long but check Google wait time it is always spot on.

Ate here with my grandkids. Service was excellent, food was good and not too expensive. My youngest grandchild is four, and the playscape kept her occupied while the food was on order. Free ice cream was a treat for everyone.

There was a server, Joe, outstanding service. Haven't had such good service in any restaurant in a long time. Made good recommendations, food came out in a timely way, he was on top of checking not only us but everyone around us.

This is an absolute Tex Mex place for me to go all the time. I love service and hospitality here from a customer. Every plate I order is full of Tex Mex flavour it’s for sure not authentic but yes can never go wrong on any order. We love coming back here all the time. ❤️

My enchiladas were sooooo tasty and I really enjoyed my frozen watermelon margarita (for the 25 year olds lol). I can’t wait to bring my parents back. I expected something completely different given the name and logo of this restaurant. What i found once inside was a very tastefully eclectic interior. As per the food, it was really good. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town visiting family.

We asked to sit on the patio. It was nice and shaded. No fans, but it was cool enough that it didn't matter. We got our drink order and appetizer quickly. Charlotte was amazing, she was friendly, always had a smile on her face. Checked by a couple of times for refills and asked how we were doing. Our entrée came out hot. Food is always good here. We will return.

Visited Jimmy Changas in Pearland for the first time and had a really great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, and the portions were generous. Some great options for vegetarian meals. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. It felt like a great spot for families or a casual night out. My first time visiting and it was so good, it was a group of us. So the wait time wasn’t that bad, and it was Sunday so the busyness is to be expected. But they make it up with the food y’all. I tore them chips and salsa up. I’ll be back again, I’m still shocked on the pyramid of rice they gave me🤩 please try the Seafood enchilada it’s super good!!!

The appetizers tasted great!! Highly recommend getting the queso with chips. I ordered the Pollo Marisco. It tasted Amazing!!!! Very flavorful highly recommend this dish!!! Hats off to the cook.. I will definitely stop here again when I'm in town.

Let me start off by saying the restrooms are beautifully designed and very clean which as a mom I greatly appreciate! This has to be the number one spot for families here in Pearland! The food is fantastic. The waiters are friendly and attentive, the restaurant from the architecture to the decor is well thought out. After you finish your fabulous meal, you get free ice cream on your way out which the kids love! If that’s not enough, there’s a giant playground outside for them to play on. There is also a patio to relax while waiting to be seated at this high in demand restaurant. I would give this restaurant 10 out of 10 for family friendliness! It’s definitely the place you wanna bring your out-of-town guests with children to enjoy. We did come during the week late at night so, it wasn’t crowded thankfully. I believe during the weekend it can get packed so come a bit earlier if possible.

Food was very good, you can tell they use fresh, high quality ingredients, service was stellar and we had a party of 8. I also appreciated the price point, more affordable than some of it's competitors (ahem, Lupes); I only wish the dishes were bigger! I got the shrimp and crawfish enchiladas and my boyfriend the beef chimichanga and even after eating our fair share of chips/salsa and all our food (all delicious by the way), we were hungry again within a couple hours. Not typical for a Tex-Mex experience. Next time I'll get the free icecream too.😉

The food was fresh and the salsas were freshly made. The chips that are served with the salsas aren't great, so go for the guacamole so you can get the authentic chips. If you're craving Tex-Mex, definitely stop by this Jimmy's!

Had their changa platter : amazing must try , gives you a range of everything. The sizzlers meat was tender and accompanied by Spanish rice and other. The pastor bowl was also flavorful .

The staff was super friendly, and the food was fresh; sometimes, the wait times are reasonably lengthy, but you can easily make a reservation via Open Table. We had the Fish tacos and the Chicken and Beef fajita. The bill was about 40 bucks with taxes. The complementary chips and Salsas are pretty good. We will be heading back.

It was my first time at this location, and it was nice. I thought it just opened up since it looked relatively new, but they said it’s been open for about ten years. The food was pretty good. The service was excellent. They have a play area for small children and plenty of seating. If you haven’t been here and want some pretty decent Tex-Mex, then I recommend giving this place a shot. Walking in, you couldn't see that this place was busy, but it was very well sectioned off, and each section seemed to be packed with people, everyone having a good time. It smelled great, and the entire vibe was fun, friendly, and festive. I wanted to get the sampler platter, but it said no substitutions. I asked the server just to confirm since I'm allergic to shellfish. She said there was no way to substitute anything, which was completely unfortunate for people with allergies, and the only reason why I can't give five stars for this review. So I ordered their specialty chimichanga. It was definitely smaller than most places and not deep-fried; it was more of a burrito, but the triangle-shaped rice was a cute addition. I would recommend anyone to come here if they're interested in any Tex-Mex type of food. The server I had was attentive, knew the menu very well, and gave wonderful service. I would come here again. As I walked out, they had a free self-serve soft-serve ice cream cone machine.

I have to say I've been coming here for approximately 3 years almost 4 times a month. I love the food here and have never had a bad experience until the last two times I have been here. A month ago, I came with my daughter and we had the worst experience ever with a waitress named Melanie..Not only did she not come back to help us or ask us if we needed anything else, she never even came to bring us our ticket. We had to ask another waitress to bring our ticket which is when she finally showed up with her hand out. Yesterday for some reason we were treated badly again by the same waitress. I have nothing bad to say about the restaurant itself but they really need to get rid of that waitress because she's only there for a handout. She is in the hospitality industry which means you should be hospitable.

The blanco queso is the best thing I tasted on my visit. I also enjoyed the margarita trio. On a regular Friday afternoon the wait was 25 min, but moved swiftly. The service has really gone downhill over the past year. Waited 15 minutes after seated for the waitress to acknowledge us or even set foot in our section. Were not offered a refill on the chips or drinks. Kids menu item portions were ridiculously small and we were charged for the kids' drinks which were supposed to be included. Food came out surprisingly fast though once our order was finally taken.

We had our company party there and the food that was set up was cold as ice. I dont understand why the didn't have heat under the pans. So disappointing.

Typically people dont do reviews unless things go bad. I just ordered a free queso from a reward on the app and a dozen tortillas. The queso was the color and consistency of melted and refirmed butter yellowish greenish orange. I didnt even trust the look enough to eat it from fear my family would get sick. I tipped $5 to the take out crew after ordering in app and walking in myself to get the order instead of them bringing it curb side. People may see a complaint about free food but this complaint is about the quality of the food. I have 3 day old queso from HEB that I ate instead - photo below. 2 star for service as something so simple should have been caught by at least one person handling my food. Instead no one cared to say anything about the sub par preperation.

This evening I took myself out for dinner and have never had an awful experience at this restaurant. I was immediately seated upon entry and slightly to my right were two servers overly engaged in talking to a customer. After being seated for several minutes one of them turned around to take my order. I can only assume based on the receipt that her name is Jade by the receipt. She never properly introduced herself and was too concerned running back to her conversation. After taking my order she proceeded to talk to the customer again right in front of me, until she had to bring me my food. I almost told them to just box it up I was so annoyed with her lack of service. After bringing my food she went back to her conversation. The other server would pop in and out after attending to her tables (this person was at least in her section but the loud talking was distracting). A short Hispanic guy I will assume maybe a manager spoke with her and she still did not think to check on HER customer, instead she responded to him talking about other employees she felt were not working. I am a person who tips no matter the service, poor service equals a reduced tip and this evening it was no tip at all. I mean you have to work for what you want and I am a customer that tells the server they don’t have to come back 50x but to completely ignore your customer to carrying on with someone at another table…unacceptable.

Our waitress was not attentive. Queso brought to table. No chips, drink drunk...I'm thirsty...no water offered, flour tortillas brought instead of the corn I ordered, green sauce ran out, she never came by to check on us. Don't know her name but she has long curly brrown hair with a tattoo on her tricep.... terrible. She needs schooling on how to deliver customer service. Please! Food was good though.

Not only did it took a long time to get someone to attend our table, but whoever is in the kitchen needs a vision test, to read orders better, you can do cpr on this and bring it back to life! Gross!!

A little disappointing- ordered to go and order was said to be ready for pick up at 4:42pm. It was brought out at that time which was nice. I get home (we live 6 mins from the restaurant) and discover that chicken enchiladas and rice are cold and the portion of chips and salsas was small compared to what I have received before. You would think for the money you’re spending they would at least fill up the bag. At least the flavor of the food is decent.

I just picked up an order at the Pearland Jimmy Changas and it was terrible! Service was bad...I waited almost 30 min after being told it would be ready in 10 min. It wasn't even peak serving time. When we got home and ate, the tortilla chips tasted stale and tough like they were a month old. The fajita enchiladas tasted like they came out of the freezer... not even warm. I won't return.

Food is great. Service is horrible, we keep coming back hoping it will get better since it’s our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, worse every time

I used to love Jimmy Changas! Unfortunately, every time I come to this location to pick up my food there is always something wrong. My taco salad with fajita steak meat has been undercooked twice with old lettuce. Please do better!

If I could give the service a 0 I would. From the moment we sat down our waitress Mel (at least that’s what the manager said her name was) had an attitude. She didn’t introduce herself. She didn’t have a badge on. We tried to make small talk but she wasn’t having it. She asked what we wanted to drink with an attitude. We gave the order and added an appetizer. I told her we needed a few minutes to look at the menu for the main course. We finally had to flag her down because she never followed up. Our appetizer came and she just threw the plate on the table. No small plates no utensils. We had to flag down three other waiters to get us what we needed because she never bothered to ask or come by again. We should have left from the beginning but it was already 8pm. Too late to go anywhere else. At the end she brought the bill with a feedback card. It asks to get the waiters name to include in the feedback. I had to go ask her for her name and that’s when it got worse. She stood there staring at me and would not give me her name. After repeating myself three times I told her the survey asked for a waiters name. She looked me straight in my eyes and said she wasn’t giving it to me. No reason what so ever. I asked to speak with the manager she pointed at her. When I explain to the manager, the manager asked her if she didn’t give me her name and she told her straight out no. She also noticed and told her she wasn’t wearing her name tag. The manager told her to step away. I explained to the manager that I had no idea why she acted that way. She was laughing and tending to other tables but not ours. Not that I cared if she smiled at us but to tend to us. I told her we didn’t know her and we didn’t know what we did to upset her. The manager offered to give me something for our next visit but I told her no. It wasn’t about that. It was about customer service and respect. She asked why didn’t we say something sooner and I told her I didn’t want to cause a scene. At the end the manager gave me the girls name, Mel and apologized. Worst service ever! Never again. So disrespectful.

My visit to the Pearland location was BY FAR the worst customer service experience I have had in my 18 plus years living in Pearland. The sever Ari was not attentive at all. First no one brought me my corn tortillas. I had to flag down a random server for that. After that Ari came out and asked if everything was ok. I told her about the tortillas and she said “sorry about that” then went to the next table and with a smile and enthusiasm greeted the customers. Much more than what I got. She also never asked if I needed a water nor a chip/salsa refill. And then ironically as soon as I took my last bite she was there to take my plate. This is my favorite restaurant but today really pissed me off. I typically over tip. Today Ari will get what she earned! And did I mention that the guy who brought my food out placed my beans on the opposite side of the table and was very dismissive! Never had a bad experience here!

We love Jimmy Chanangas. Any family celebration we go there untill last time on a weekday with many tables empty they said 30-40 minutes wait. Felt unacomodating. Sadly I am not sure if I will be able to return for next celebration.

Extremely unorganized. I ordered a ½ gallon of rice and waited over one hour to receive my order. There was only one person handling to-go orders, answering the phone, and checking with the kitchen. While I understand it was a holiday, better planning should have been in place to efficiently handle the increased volume of customers. The experience was frustrating and disappointing.

No service. Had to flag someone down to ask them to get our waiter because our drinks where empty and no one cared about the dishes stacking up on the table. Even the manager walked by and didn't care. This is the kind of service customers get when we all gilt pay a TIP for nothing.
