I had to come here and give a review after 3 days of ordering from this location. Typically, Golden krust Food is usually very generic. However, I am doing construction 🚧 in the area and came across this location. Let me tell you! As a person who cooks, their food is the best from all the Golden Krust I've eaten from over the years. Customer service was good! Got greeted with a smile and a very pleasant experience. The food was very succulent. I had the goat, stew chicken, stew peas and mek mi tell yuh! Everything shot. For the people who gave them a 1 star in the past, give them another try! @chefdrizzie sey so!

Quick note: If you are reading previous reviews please note the most recent ones, because this place has clearly had new ownership since the bad reviews from 2yrs ago. The food is tasty, and everyone was pleasant and accomadating. I Loved the oxtail and the sweet chili wings. My portions were fine, unfortunately there is never enough oxtail to me, so tasty. In any case give these nice folks a try, go small first, grab a lunch special, see how you like it. And again clearly this is new management because I've come here quite a few times and never ran into anything but nice people serving delicious food.

I was just there in February, last month, and had salt fish and rice and spinach, and it was fantastic. There are Golden Krust in The Houston Market area, but nowhere as good as this place. Makes me want to move back up to New York State!!!

Really can't understand why this place doesn't have 5* rating! Maybe bc people complaining of meat portion on platters; maybe it depends what you get. The minute you walk in thr smells are intoxicating. Im not a lover of spice but I am a lover of flavor. I got 1 chicken patty (bc beef were still baking), side order of plantains, 6 sweet chili chicken wings and the special bean soup with pork and beef. Let me tell you that soup was like getting the warmest hug, just perfection! The chicken patty was curry spiced and delish and flakey. Plantains, love but OMG those sweet chili wings to die for! I was going to get curry chicken platter but then opted for wings and so glad I did. It was my 1st time there and it won't be my last. Lots of local Caribbean people supporting their own. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Want great Jamaican cuisine without have to travel to the city. This is the place to go. I drive 25mins and never regret the trip. The staff is friendly and the food is always great. Just be prepared to pay

I really don't understand the number of 1-star reviews for this place. My go-to order is the large curried goat, and it is so good. I have ordered it maybe a half dozen times for lunch over the past year or so, and have never been disappointed. The staff here has always been pleasant. I will say that the portion size is sometimes inconsistent, depending on how big a scoop the person serving happens to give you, and how many bones you happen to get. This is why I order the large. It's also going to be a little more expensive than typical fast food, but not THAT much more, and honestly worth it.

Fresh flavorful food in huge affordable portions with some great vegan options too. Always a bunch of people ordering inside, so gave it a shot and have come back in person several times since. We just ordered delivery via Seamless, and everything was correct and hot and delicious. This chain's location is a great addition to the area. Much love for this Caribbean and Jamaican food. We will continue to come back and spread the word. ❤️

I ordered the small oxtail meal for approximately 24.00z four piece of oxtail and a little pinky toe baby oxtail. A whole lot of rice and a little portion of cabbage. The food was delicious the portion however is something totally different. I had to wait for at least 15 minutes to place an order which is disturbing when the food is right there. Depending on what is ordered of course. It was only two people ahead of me. Other than that be prepared to wait for food that is on display right in front of your face . Two people behind the register..happy eating

And although it tastes great (hence why it was the only reason why I walked in) I still feel as though the cup could be bigger. An employee felt it was ok to argue with me about my opinion on it being so much. And said “ well if $6 is too much you don’t have to get it” so rude ! And even my first visit I felt this negativity in the establishment. And even after I gave the cashier the money, they continued to treat me as if I wasn’t a paying customer and rudely asked “ so do you want it or not” AFTER I HANDED HER MONEY! WONT EVER BE GOING IN THERE AGAIN ! Not when they’re other authentic Caribbean cuisine within a mile radius of this place. Side note for the owner Mr.Lanier .. this incident occurred 10/08/22 around 5:30pm. Is such a shame you have staff misrepresenting all your hard work. I hope some disciplinary actions take place bc there’s absolutely no way they should be treating customers like this especially locals.

so introduced my co-workers to this restaurant. 1. they don't answer phone 2. the portion of this sooooo ridiculous i use to work at a golden krust and buy from other golden krust and i have never seen a large food looking like a lunch special. Look at what they call a large food for almost $20 each.. ridiculous!!! come on this is not a good way to start. i have one co-worker that spend over 400. no jerk sauce or utensil for the 15 food purchase thru grub hub. This is the worst jamaican food I have ever tasted. As a jamaican trying this you should should be ashamed to serve such horrible food. If I could give this place minus 10 stars I would. I got the brown stew chicken for $12 and there were only three little pieces of chicken in there and it was mostly bone so honestly it was barely anything I guess at the prices are really good but that was not worth $12. if there was more than those tiny little pieces of chicken, it would’ve been fine because it tasted pretty good, but I can’t justify the portions. I’m not greedy and I’m very fair with my reviews so that should tell you a lot. The beef patty was prob the worst i’ve ever had honestly I can’t even finish it. I’m gonna stick to local family run places atp

I ordered curry chicken. The chicken smelled sour, it was undercooked ( red and raw inside) then it was extremely salty, and there were whole chicken legs in the order. I had never seen curry chicken served like this before. Unfortunately, the food wasn't edible. I threw up. I had to drive back to the restaurant to return the food. I requested a refund. I have patronized the Golden Krust in White Plains and Mt Vernon. Their food is exceptional. This Peekskill location every time I brought food it wasn't good. I'm done ✔️.

It’s like every single staff member is miserable to be working, not a tiny smile from no one. I politely asked if there were anymore spicy beef before I got on the line, I even excused my self from the clients that were waiting on line; I felt like I was shouted at by the staff “ Do you see any spicy here? Now I’m left to starve and they REFUSED to issue me a refund when I already complained!! I am beyond frustrated. Stay away from THIS BRANCH!! Because I ordered through uber eats they have to investigate first. Now I can’t get a refund and I can’t reorder!! Pretty horrible and waste of my money!! It’s unfair to me as a customer to go through this. Stay away stay away stay away!!

I ordered a chicken soup large with dumplings and yam. All I got with the order was chicken. I specifically asked for dumplings and yam. I was hoping I could upload a phone. My soup has only chicken. I am super angry.
