We would like to express our gratitude to Yelp for organizing another enjoyable event. We had a delightful experience with the "Adult Happy Meal" at The Vig Parkwest. This expansive restaurant concept, which originated with The Vig Arcadia in 2006, now boasts several locations throughout the Valley. Initially, we were impressed by the friendly demeanor of the staff. Our server, Dusty, was both helpful and attentive. The adult happy meal, priced at $19.00, was truly delicious. My wife opted for the Skyy espresso martini, which was accompanied by a small Caesar salad and delectable truffle fries. I chose one of their summer lunch specials, priced at $14.00, which featured a grilled chicken sandwich topped with fresh brie, a basil aioli, arugula, and a Calabrian chili jam. I selected the house salad as a side, and it also came with a soft drink. The lunch specials are available from Monday to Friday, between 11 AM and 3 PM. Their happy hour takes place from 3 to 6 PM, offering discounted appetizers and signature cocktails. They also have a spacious, dog-friendly patio and a weekend bottomless brunch for $25.00. Thanks again Bailey for organizing another fun Elite week event.
What a great atmosphere just sitting at the counter bar. The place was alive with activity on a Friday evening. The restaurant, bar and patio was electric. Nice easy music in the background all made for an enjoyable evening. The prime rib was the thicket I have ever had. What a creamy Mac and Cheese, The broccolini had a nice grilled taste. I recommend it highly. The Naked and (almost)Famous cocktail has an enjoyable smokey and citrus flavor. My husband had the carnitas tacos and black beans but he was salivating at my plate.
I parked at the bar as soon as they opened and enjoyed the quiet peacefulness to myself. The Adult Happy Meal special includes a small Caesar salad, truffle fries, and a coffee of two martinis. When I couldn't decide between the Tito's or espresso martini the bartender gave me a shot of their housemade nitro espresso. It was sweet and smooth, but I decided to opt for savory with a dirty martini. It was definitely dirty and strong...exactly what it should be. The salad dressing had really good flavor and was the perfect size. A rich and tasty truffle goat cheese dip is served alongside the truffle fries...yum. I truly think this is a great deal for $19 with perfect portions. All locations are serving this special and I've never been to a Vig that wasn't a nice atmosphere. Thank you Yelp and The Vig.
This place was great. Food was delicious. Unbelievably fast service. Mellow guitarist enhanced the atmosphere. Worth the trip, especially with a Handel’s ice cream in the same plaza area.
The happy hour is pretty good. Love the bbq pork sliders, chicken street tacos, and the prime rib was seasoned so well, was surprisingly very flavorful. The drinks are decent especially for the happy hour price. Ambience is routine quality with a cute outdoor patio. The quality of food and service is always consistent.
Wife had been there before wanted to take me for lunch. Nice open and relaxing atmosphere. Wife had Vig burger I had the genuine burger, both were absolutely delicious. Hers was spicy and I should have gotten that but still mine was outstanding. Fries were delicious and the service was outstanding. Nice little lunch menu $5 off genuine burger during lunch and free soda. She also got the creme brulee cheesecake said it was very good. Highly satisfied.
The happy hour menu for starters and drinks was great. A large yummy selection. We had lemon drop drinks and nachos. Both were amazing. The main courses were also delicious. The only thing we could have done without is the TVs being on, but I’m sure some guests liked that.
Our server Jerome!!!!! Had a great lunch, drinks were great, Mexican candy shots even better. 10/10.
This is my second time here, but first time sitting outdoor. It was a completely different experience and I loved it! Besides the leaves from the tree above us, everything else was great! I made it in time for the happy hour menu and enjoyed the small bites and shareables. The server was accommodating with a different dipping sauce option for the fries. The cocktail was delicious and the bread pudding was so yummy. I will 100% go back!
The atmosphere here was EVERYTHING. It was so earthy and calming, within the first five minutes I was raving about how I want to bring everyone back to this location specifically. Service was excellent, food was delicious and the ambiance is unmatched. We ordered the queso and mac and cheese to start and both knocked it out of the ball park. The queso had more a smoked, pepper taste which I LOVED because it can really be hit or miss. I ordered the burger which was good, pretty standard. The hot honey chicken sandwich was amazing. Highly recommend. The French dip was chef’s kiss, loved the fusion of flavor. We ended the night with the butterscotch pudding bread topped with vanilla and wwwooowwww I could’ve demolished the entire skillet alone. All in all the experience and food in my book were a 10/10… the ONLY complaint that I had and it could be a deal breaker for some… the water was horrific. It smelled and tasted almost like sewer? I hope they address that because next time I’m going to ask that they not bring the water to the table entirely.
We stopped by for happy hour, we ordered the sliders, tacos and chips and guacamole. The patio was relaxing and food tasty. Definitely would recommend trying their full menu as well.
Delicious brunch with the fam today - Steak & Eggs done perfect medium. Stuffed French toast. Cheeseburger. Flavors were delightful. The weather was perfect for outdoor patio seating. Live music during Brunch. And our server Tareq was fantastic. This was a second attempt after we visited this location of the Big during their first week open in Park West. Our first experience was not the best, but on our second visit our expectations were exceeded. Would definitely recommend based on our experience today.
I've been to The Vig Phoenix and loved the food and atmosphere, especially the patio. So I was stoked when I found out they opened one closer to my house at Park West this past summer! The food is always fresh and delicious. I can't speak on the alcohol but their iced tea is amazing. I always try the seasonal menu and the turkey pastrami on a pretzel bun for the fall is DELICIOUS. Perfect meat-to-sauce-to-super soft bun-ratio. Their patio is perfect this time of year. Great little lunch or dinner spot that doesn't disappoint!
Nice place to hang out before a movie at Harkins nearby. The Happy Hour food is all you need. I got the barbecue pork sliders and the garlic french fries. Very nice food, but the iced tea was amazing. Ordered the flourless chocolate cake. This had gelato on top of it, which was also awesome. All of their desserts are Italian. Everything's good here. A wonderful waitress, Aaliyah, needs to be commended for the service she provides.
The VIG at Park west is just as good as the other two I have been to which is the one on Fillmore and the one in North Phoenix. So I'm 3 for 3 with this restaurant. When we went into this restaurant we talked with the manager she was real nice they gave us a nice table and it was relaxing it's a really clean place atmospheres kick back and everybody was friendly. The food was great and it up having a turkey sandwich and we also ordered a chicken sandwich which was very flavorful. If you have been to any of the other locations this one is just the same as all of them great food great service so you would enjoy this location just as well.
First time here, they have just updated the menu. Came here during thier happy hour, they had live music and our waiter was very friendly and recommended some dishes. Definitely coming back for a full size burger, the flavor of the sliders was amazing.
We went on a weekend and they had live blues! Highly recommend you make reservations if you're going on a Saturday. Lots of ppl in Park West
I loved this place. First the restaurant feels kind of exclusive because the entrance is secluded in a passageway and the front covered in foliage. Our service was also amazing, our server Mia I believe (my memory is terrible) was great, very attentive and fast. Same with the food! Felt like right as we ordered, it was placed at our table as if the food was waiting for us already. Loved the ambiance so much, we decided to walk down the strip and see a movie. Greatly recommend this restaurant.
The V!g. When you enter this restaurant it sets you up for an truly gastronomical experience 🩷 Half of the restaurant & dining tables are outside, it was a beautiful fall day temperatures in the mid 80's. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and explained that they locally source the majority of the menu. I ordered the Wild Argentine Shrimp Tacos. It came on a very unique board with a side of crushed black beans chunky and creamy with a hint of spice. It was accompanied with a portion of nuggety guacamole & tortilla chips. I scooped up some guac on the chip and dipped in the black beans, so good, so good. The tacos; when I bit into the street style taco I was not expecting the corn tortilla to be so pliable, the mouthfeel was very pleasing & held together until the last bite. The cotija cheese added a nice saltiness to the tacos and the crema added a slight tangy experience. The pickled onions added a nice texture change and were mild in flavor. The chef cooked the Argentinian shrimp perfectly, very tender and the coating was so light you could see the shrimp through it, no heavy spices and the natural shrimp flavor hit first with every bite. What's going through my mind, recreating this amazing dish at home. Who's coming over for dinner?
My wife and I attended a private event at this location and the service and food were really great! The owner was really nice and genuinely cares about the experience of his patrons. The location is great and just what the west valley needed as the area continues to expand and attract more residents with an appetite for something that’s not a typical chain restaurant. Nice place! We will definitely be back.
The Vig is an excellent place to have dinner and enjoy time with friends and family. The decor is beautiful and the seating is comfortable. They also have an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy food or drinks. Our waitress, Dustie, was very friendly and gave us excellent service. The food - wow - it is so awesome and many items are locally sourced! This establishment takes reservations and that is a good idea so you can decide if you want to sit in the bar area and listen to live music or in a cozy room up front. We love this place, and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Great experience. Modern cowboy design. Super modern and comfortable. The food was so well prepared. The plates and decor curated design was excellent. The flavor was exquisite. Looking forward to trying other items soon. Pictures: Outdoor dining./Birria Empanada w. Black bean/whipped Black Pepper Feta w/lavender honey./ Flat Iron 🥩. Chimichuri drizzle, roasted pepper on a bed of fingerling potatoes. Recommendation :It would be over the top if they added crushed pistachios on the whipped feta appetizer... Even as an option. Great happy hour!
The Vig is a neighborhood gem. We enjoyed wonderful live music on a Friday night and had a slow-paced meal, enjoying their charcuterie board with a bottle of wine, followed by delicious calamari. The fish tacos were perfectly prepared. It was such a perfect evening.
I have been to different locations around the valley. This locations is very spacious & nicely decorated. First time coming for brunch here. The breakfast & mimosas were great. I had the pozole and I was not disappointed.
Great new place for brunch. And other meals; we just tried Sunday brunch. Good selection of breakfast and lunch items. Extensive wine selection. Good cocktail list. Trade and Mexican foods. Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Outside covered patio seating with misters.
I am so glad they opened up a location on the west side! I love the aesthetic of this place it’s great to go with friends for brunch and drinks. Their drinks are also very good! We had their calamari which was great with their sauce and I had their breakfast chilaquiles which were pretty good did not disappoint. I will be coming back here as a regular brunch spot!
Brunch was so delicious! Shared multiple plates with family and they were all a hit. However, their pancakes were out of this world! Great service, great food, and a lovely indoor and outdoor area!
Came for appetizers and drinks with friends and really enjoyed our experience! Our bartender Jess was very attentive, outgoing and kind! I would definitely come back again!
I went here for the first time, and had Jess as a bartender. She was super sweet and my group and I watched her mixing drinks non stop for over an hour. Super hard worker if you ask me and I don’t see that often anymore. Other guest there that had her always were smiling and never looked or seemed to have any issues. With that being said even with how busy it was, Jess never skipped a beat and serviced everyone she could and kept tabs on us to make sure we were taking care of! Will return again in the near future!
I would come back just for the calamari. Salsa for the chips is not hot but good. Steak fries are a bit bland. Carne asada tacos are pretty good with the chile de arbol. Service and ambiance are great 👍🏼
Jess was our bartender server on Sunday we came for brunch and from her recommendation got the breakfast enchiladas in the Chilaques. Which were both great and she continued to check on us and make sure we had everything I needed as well as another bartender who I didn't catch his name but was very courteous and attentive.
I went there for a business lunch and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing and my server came by several times to check on me and refill my drink. He even sent me with a drink to go and that is going above and beyond. The food was fantastic. I had the Asian chicken salad. The manager came by to check on me as well and was very friendly. I will definitely be going back.
We were here for an event on the patio. It was set up nicely with plenty of room. The food was good and I liked that they labeled what was in each dish for allergy purposes - like pine nuts and walnuts. The server did a nice job keeping up with the group.
I ordered the asian chicken salad and it was very tasty but the chicken was very dry. Two other people in my party ordered the same thing and said the same thing. My husband had the Vig Burger and said it was a great burger the best he'd had in a long time. Service and atmosphere were awesome.
The ambiance here is really cute. It seems very homey and welcoming. Our server was great and was consistent with checking up on us. The food was very okay, in my opinion. I got the mac and cheese with carne asada. The carne asada had this weird lime flavor that did not go well with the mac and cheese. The menu is rather limited, and half the menu is literally alcohol. Definitely more of a bar vibe. They have good deals on appetizers during happy hour, but I wouldn't go back. Very okay food. I think people go here mostly for the atmosphere.
Cisco was an excellent server but the meal was the star. The pungent truffle fries boasted garlic and Parmesan which paired perfectly with the truffle goat cheese sauce. The burger meat was flavorful and was complimented by a few jalapeños which demanded your attention, and the bun was so pillowy, light and fluffy, yet still held up to the burger. As Mark Weins would say... "oh, wow"
Very courteous and friendly staff when we arrived, however, the service tapered off before brunch ended. The churro waffles were amazing!!! I will definitely recommend.
I enjoy going to the Vig, they have several gluten-free options but one dish that really surprised me because I did not expect it to be so good is the Pozole. It was delicious! I also tried flourless chocolate cake that is gluten -free and it was more of a brownie than a cake but it was so good!, The restaurant's ambiance is always great. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very accommodating and friendly.
What a beautiful place. The decor inside and the nice outdoor patio make this a brunch haven. We came mid morning Saturday to a packed place. Luckily we found room at the car since we were just here for a few drinks. Service was great and the food coming out around us looked delicious. If we hadn’t already eaten I’d of loved to try a few things. There’s always next time. I did feel however beers on tap were a bit over priced. If we come again I’d probably look out for happy hour options. Be prepared it’s hard to find parking nearby Saturday’s with the farmers market and other places nearby.
Went to the Vig for lunch. The astomphere is nice and clean. Our server John was personable and accommodating. The food came out within 15 minutes after ordering. The food was decent. Ordered the honey chicken sandwich and blackened fish tacos.
I had brunch here with a party of 6. There was no wait time and the service was good. I was a huge fan of the eggs Benedict and would return for that alone, the only issue I had was my order was delayed due to a mix up and a different dish was brought out. It was quickly resolved and the rest of the meal went without issue.
Went for brunch and my server was amazing. The potatoes and turkey sausage were super spicy and it would help to know in advance. Also, the sign in the front is very hard to see behind the trees. Perhaps some additional visual aids to find the location from the front entrance. The back entrance has a huge sign and plenty of parking. It made all the difference
Visited this place on a Sat afternoon and had an overall enjoyable experience. The chicken sandwich was decent, although it could have been juicier, and the fries were unfortunately soggy instead of crispy. On the bright side, the ambiance was fantastic, and the live music added to the pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the whipped feta dip, as it was excellent. The decor was also quite nice and added to the overall appeal of the place. With a few improvements in the food department, this spot could easily become a favorite
This was my second time at the Vig. My first time was for happy hour and the food and drinks were just okay. This time we celebrated a friend"s birthday in a separate room. It was set up very nicely. There was enough room to move around but it still felt intimate. The staff that waited on us did a great job; they were professional and efficient. I'm sure it was challenging for them with people constantly moving around. We ordered the truffle burger, guacamole and chips, and the prime rib dip sandwich. Everything was very tasty.
Our lunch started off slowly. We couldn’t figure out where the door was, and we noticed other people walking along the patio looking for it too. Hint - it’s down the side alley. A sign would have been nice. The espresso martinis made up for it. A friend enjoyed her burger and I had shrimp tacos which were good, but very soggy. I had to eat them with a fork because the tortillas fell apart. We had excellent, friendly service. I’d love to come back during cocktail hour, especially if we could sit out on that gorgeous patio.
My bestie and I decided to come here and celebrate my birthday. We made a reservation for patio seating. The chairs and table were very wobbly. We came on a Friday at 6, and honestly, making the reservation was a waste. It was beyond dead. A lot of the other tables were much older crowd than we had anticipated. The menu had a lot of options. The server was really nice and gave us space to chat. The cauliflower appetizer was really good and not greasy. The fries were on the super soft side, which wasn't apeasing. The blue corn seafood enchilada was pretty decent. I said no beans and no other options were given. The hot honey chicken sandwich had no spice and was a real disappointment. We didn't care for the dessert, so we ended up going elsewhere for that. But it's a quiet spot and would have expected more customers. The entrance was also confusing it's down a corridor, not on the main walking path. We literally walked past and didn't notice the first time.
I’ve visited this restaurant three times now, and unfortunately each experience has been disappointing. On my most recent visit, the sandwich was burnt and the service was slow and inattentive. I really enjoy the atmosphere, but the food and service have consistently fallen short. Visit date: December 10th
My family has had very good experiences at the other Phoenix Vig locations and will continue to visit these locations. Our visit to The Vig in Peoria however was disappointing and we all left hungry and dissatisfied. The service was slow and plates were not cleared before the main course. We had the fish and chips which were soggy and oily, the pastrami sandwich’s were overcooked and HEAVY seasoned. The steak frites were also HEAVY battered in garlic. Lastly the salad lettuce did not appear to be fresh. Overall the food and service need some attention to resolve these issues and bring standards up to the other locations. Thankfully the kids menu chicken strips were suitable.
This was the worst breakfast I ever had beginning with that hostess we walked in and we say hello two times they don’t answer we stay there for over two minutes and they finally look at us and say how many so we took a table. They didn’t say nothing they don’t say thank you they don’t say nothing, they walk away like we stink and I know I don’t stink. The scrambled eggs was premade the pieces looks like it came out of that. Pan With the shape of a block. Not even Denny’s serve this garbage Chilaquiles was dry like they don’t have enough sauce Service servers seems like they don’t care we request to move to a different table and they say no because it was a reserve and the whole time we was there nobody show up for the table that’s sad
First time there. Server explained the menu and happy hour. Ordered cocktails from the menu. Ordered appetizers. Drinks and food were great. Came time to pay they overcharged all the drinks. Server says that the menu is not clear, and she has been complaining about it for a year. Very frustrating. Dinner and cocktails $250.00. We will not return, even though the food was good.
