Tiffany is the absolute most amazing Barista there. So sweet, so nice, so honest and so adorable. Not to mention I lost my wallet there and she grabbed it and saved it till I came back and got it. was so afraid I lost everything. I owe her everything!
I stopped by this Black Rock recently after passing by every day on my way to work. I will definitely be back! The atmosphere is very upbeat and the service was quick/friendly. The americano was great and I have a coupon for my next visit.
Great coffee! Banana bread is delicious!
Came through here for a delicious Mexican mocha which was of course beyond delicious! I highly recommend it! Of course you really can't go wrong depending on your taste buds but I definitely recommend the Mexican mocha. I even brought my puppy and they offered her a pup cup that comes with a cookie! She was so excited!
If you're on the hunt for the ultimate coffee experience, look no further than Black Rock Coffee Bar! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an electric vibe that feels like a warm hug with a side of rock 'n roll. The ambiance? Totally on point. Think modern yet cozy, with a dash of edgy charm that's oh-so-inviting. The stars of the show, of course, are the drinks. Black Rock knows how to brew magic in a cup. Their coffee is a symphony of rich, bold flavors that'll have your taste buds doing a happy dance. Whether you're a die-hard espresso fan or someone who loves their coffee with a twist, there's something for everyone. I highly recommend the Caramel Blondie - it's a sweet, creamy dream come true! And for those hot summer days, their iced drinks are the ultimate cool-down treat. But wait, there's more! The baristas here are the real rock stars. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile, they make every visit feel special. Perfectly paired with your drink of choice, these treats are the cherry on top of a perfect coffee outing. Your taste buds (and your mood) will thank you!
Update: I've now been half a dozen times, and it's been excellent everytime. My coworkers and I take turns buying fuels and coffee for the crew pretty much every shift. The service is always super fast and friendly and makes me feel oddly relaxed for a loud coffee shop. OG Review: First time I went I was on break in the middle of an eight hour shift and went by to get fuel for a coworker and I. The drinks were ready fast and I still had plenty of time to relax on break. They tasted amazing and were refreshing. Lady at the register repeated my order, was real polite and friendly, and wasn't condescending in the slightest when I accidentally asked for something they didn't have 😂😭 Will absolutely be going again!
Tried a couple coffee shops on my trip to Surprise and Black Rock was my favorite! The iced latte was very good. The bacon and gouda breakfast sandwich was yummy and came out very hot.
Ok so drive thru is always fast, customer service is usually great coffee is bomb but please order more sprinkle cookies 😞 every time I have come here with the kids (they and I LOVE the cookies) you all have been out every time. :( Edit: I so appreciate you looking into stocking more sprinkle cookies! They are so good, we will never stop coming here just because of your kind response!
I'm totally bummed. Was looking forward to coming here for an iced latte with coconut and vanilla flavor. I got my drink and it had neither flavor in it. Tasted like straight coffee. Spent 7 bucks on something that tasted bad. 6.25.2024- I received a response from Black Rock Coffee Bar and they made it right. Thank you Black Rock!!! I can't wait to give another try.
3 times Blackrock by the 303 has exceeded my expectations which is 3x more than I can say about most places. Also the women there are beautiful. I’m not gay but the men are handsome too. What’s most important though is the service! Just amazing! I’d like to add that exceeding my expectations means that I received more than just a drink that I paid for and more than standard customer service. Thanks Blackrock team!
I was very impressed by the fast, efficient, and pleasantly friendly staff. I loved how the person taking the order in the drive through over the speaker was different then the person handing me my order because it made me feel like I wasn't rushed and their undivided attention was on me. It was my first time and this reassured me that I was getting exactly what I wanted and I wasn't missing out on anything (signed up for rewards was a breeze) I even paid for the order behind me I was so pleased with the service. The coffee (Mexican mocha and Caramel truffle latte) was phenomenal and the maple doughnut was a pleasant surprise of deliciousness. Bravo Black Rock 👏 bravo.
Just started coming here, and I found it when I went to Costco. The first trip was 10 days ago, and the same drive-thru attendant helped me on both Sat and Sun. She rocked my order (except you are out of chocolate milk) and took care of my perfectly. The people at the window were absolutely delightful, and my experience was perfect... My last trip was similarly wonderful, but the attendant in the drive-thru hit 7 shots of espresso instead of 5... I'll accept that challenge!! They offered to make it right at the window, but I went with it... flavor was great, and the people are amazing. I drive 3 hours into this area 3 weekends a month - I will be seeing my new coffee family every weekend that I'm here from now on... great service, drinks, and general discussion and speed for a busy drive-thru.
I really enjoyed this coffee spot. Every time I come, the customer service has been wonderful and the drinks have tasted amazing. I recommend the cold Irish cream coffee. I've had it both blend it up and over ice.
Frozen Fuel is sooooo delish and refreshing! My favorite drink!
One of my favorite coffee shops. Kind and friendly. Never had an issue with my order. Associates have a great balance of engaging but not over chatting your ear off like another place.
I love the coffee, and the people are nice. I really hate the push of the ipad in the face after you swipe your card, feels a bit rude and rushed. I do tip but kind of feel pressured with the way it is thrown in my face. Lol perhaps im just being overboard. Them carmel frapps are worth the tip anyway 😂
Second visit to this Black Rock Coffee shop, and it is every bit as *outstanding* as the first visit. I've not found another that even comes close. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They always have coffee available, and it's great coffee. I asked for an almond croissant, and they had none, but they offered me an "Everything" croissant filled with spinach and cheese. It's SO good that I'm glad they ran out of the almond croissants! There's spacious, lovely indoor seating, plenty of outdoor seating, and terrific atmosphere.
A very well designed and welcoming shop, offering great coffees anf comfortable seating!!
Very nice place with great coffee and friendly employees that are well trained. I met the manager one time at the drive-thru, she was very nice, she has done an excellent job at this location and I would recommend she get a raise or a promotion to oversee more locations. Even when employees are extremely busy handling a rush, they still smile. Perks: If you are a student anywhere, you can get a $3 drink on Tuesdays. Also you get a free drink after you have accumulated 10 purchased drinks.
This place is great! We were out visiting a friend and decided to pop by this place for coffee in the morning. I ordered a breve with sugar free hazelnut. Soooo good and the temp was perfect! The hubs had the Irish coffee and I must say that was yum, too! He asked for a professional opinion from the person who took our order and she definitely knew her stuff. When people in the service industry know their product, that always goes a long way with the actual quality of service (so thank you!). We went back in the afternoon for iced coffees and they did not disappoint! Stopped by this morning for some coffee for the road and since it's Father's Day...turns out they are gifting dads free medium coffees - sweet! Everyone we interacted with is super nice and we hope that this is the experience at every store because we are hooked!
I had the blackout, blended and it was delicious! Paige helped us and was delightful!
I am obsessed with this coffee Bar, i am from Cali and when i visited my sister a couple of months ago she told me that this place has amazing coffee and that day I ordered twice since staying with her. Yes i love coffee and i love Irish coffee they have! The taste is perfect for my taste buds, not too sweet or too bitter! But it also depends who makes it, so i hope it's delicious all the time. Customer service, since I'm always on the go i do take the drive thru, never pack when i go and customer service seems good. Overall, my experience is 10/10 and I would totally recommend!
We used to love other coffee shops, and then we tried Black Rock Coffee... We will drive the extra mile to get ourselves an our favorite drink, which is the blended caramel blondie with an extra espresso shot! The service has always been great, and they always try to engage in a conversation while holding my coffee hostage. Finally, I can count on Black Rock Coffee for when I cause grief to my wive. This has always been my saving grace!
02/05/2026 my barista, the redhead was super friendly and patient with me. I appreciate her and I will return.
We got the Mexican Mocha and the Black Out from the favorites menu. Both taste soooo good! Really excited to see a local coffee house in Surprise! We will be back! The staff was very friendly and helpful 🙂 Don't really understand why certain people are being so negative to a new business during their grand opening week. Love the promotions Black Rock is offering!
It was my 1st time at BR Coffee, and it went suburb. I had a bit of an unknown order. I am currently 8mos pregnant, and the Dr says only 1 cup of coffee is allowed. Therefore, I like to have hot cocoa with a side of regular coffee. This was my order, and the girl who took my order relayed the message to the ladies inside perfectly. My drink was made exactly how I wanted it. I did not have to add any sugars or extra cream. I will be back. Thank you for the above average customer service.
Although I am not a coffee drinker, I have an appreciation for tea, and this establishment offers an impressive selection. I love to explore the various tea options available and often ask the baristas to whip up their favorite combinations. The creativity and enthusiasm of the staff make each visit an exciting experience. Every team member I’ve encountered has shown a professional demeanor and a genuine passion for customer service, going above and beyond to ensure that each patron feels valued and welcomed. The management deserves commendation for fostering such a positive work environment. It's clear that the employees take pride in their work and consistently showcase the essence of what makes Black Rock exceptional. They truly ROCK!
I visit this location about four days a week. It stands out from other locations because of the exceptional quality of service and the professionalism of the staff. During a recent visit, I had the opportunity to meet the manager, who informed me that the staff at this location are considered the stars of the company due to their dedication and hard work. I truly appreciate the level of service and attention to detail provided by each staff member. From the cleanliness of the facilities to the prompt and courteous assistance, everything about this location is truly excellent. The baristas always remember my name and my usual order, making me feel like a valued customer. The comfortable seating and inviting ambiance also contribute to the overall positive experience.
This was one of the most delicious coffees I've had in a while! Excellent, friendly service. Fast. Loved it!
Stores always pretty busy, it's also one of the larger ones in the state I believe, the servers are always friendly and they get the coffee out pretty fast. If your gonna come in and chill this is probably one of the best locations to do so in the valley.
I visited this location to get my birthday coffee before the gift code expired...as usual, I went through the drive thru. The male voice on the mic was very sweet and polite...but holy hell...once I got up to the window...🔥🔥🔥 This voice turned into the absolute most handsome fella...oooooh let me tell you if I was 20 years younger...HAVE MERCY! He was so nice, cute smile just WOW!! Told me to enjoy my birthday coffee and I was on my way. I left that window thinking 🫦🫶🏼🙋🏼♀️🐯 pick me...IDC what for...just pick me!! I've never wanted to be a cougar so much in my life!!! I pulled away saying out loud to myself in my car...Good Lord Almighty...I'm "in love" with the dude in the black rock drive thru window!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I IMMEDIATELY text my daughter to tell her all about how her 48 year old mom is now drooling over this fine specimen of a young man. As a mom of a 20 year old boy, I'm so not on board with the cougar lifestyle...but damn...as a woman in her 40s...sigh...I would make an exception for this one!! Anyway, totally made my day!! That is all!! I shall be returning to BR on Waddell at Prasada more often. And to this totally handsome young hottie with the mustache and ball cap...all I can say is DA-YUM!! Thank you for giving me a reason to smile and feel giddy again just by existing! 😍😁😜🥰 Happy Birthday 🎂 coffee...indeed!!! Best birthday coffee EVER!!!
We've been loyal fans of this spot since it opened, and I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. From the classics to the limited-time specials, it’s always been a solid experience. But recently, I tried their Nitro Cold Brew and WOWZA. Hands down, the best drink I’ve ever had from here. Smooth, bold, and super refreshing. The vibe is chill with plenty of seating, including some cozy chairs where you can kick back, vibe to the music, and just enjoy life. The staff always greet you with a smile, which adds to the good energy of the place. They’ve also got a free rewards program that actually pays off. Trust me, you’ll want those points once you’re hooked on the nitro too. Oh, and don’t sleep on the baked goods. Super tasty and perfect for a quick treat. Highly recommend. This place just gets it right.
Moved here from the PNW and desperate to find a coffee shop with this hot weather. Tried the blended caramel blondie with oat milk, it comes with 3 shots which is nice! I enjoyed it a lot! Also tried their French Toast Breve and it was heavenly! Their breakfast sandwiches are good as well!
Went there on a Saturday morning to have a cup of coffee. The vibe was really cool. Very busy location. Decor was exciting and clean. Service was slow inside for ordering and receiving your drinks. I can’t speak for the drive-through hopefully they didn’t wait as long as we did. I asked for a simple drip coffee with almond milk. I was given a almond latte extra foam went back to get it fixed, and it still wasn’t correct. Very Frustrating, especially since I waited so long. We finally got the order correct. I must say the coffee taste excellent and I would definitely recommend.
I wanted to try this place, I hear great things about Black Rock. I do not drink coffee, but I do enjoy green tea. The green tea was very refreshing, especially on a hot day. My daughter ordered the coffee, and she will no longer be going to Starbucks. We did not have any food today. We did have to wait about ten minutes, but they were busy!
Visiting from out of state, I was met at the drive thru with a pleasant and upbeat voice and it continued when I pulled up to pay. The young lady at the window verified my order and asked if I need cream in my coffee, which I forgot to ask for. I was appreciative of the offer and enjoyed my experience. The iced coffee was not bad at all and got me started on my day with a smile on my face. Thank you!
I've seen this place around plenty of times and was kind of hesitant since I was so stuck on Starbucks but Black Rock Coffee Bar has some great ice coffee. I finally stopped in one of them today and ordered me an large iced mocha and got some donuts and it was great. I actually think that the iced coffee I got here was better than the ones I normally get at Starbucks. The customer service was kind and friendly they were even joking around with me and that made my morning a little bit better. This was the first one I've been to so all I can say is this location is green but after this experience am definitely going to stop by a few other ones whenever I'm around them. Thanks for the experience it was fun and uplifted my morning.
First time at Black Rock Coffee and really enjoyed it. The flavor of the coffee is very different from other establishments, which we really liked. You can actually taste the coffee in the drink and it isn't just a big sweet and milky drink, like other coffee shops. They actually use espresso shots in their blended drinks. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cinnamon rolls, it was not good. It didn't taste like cinnamon, the crust/roll was very savory and almost salty instead of sweet like traditional cinnamon rolls and it had raisins. Just not for me but other might really enjoy it. The decor inside is really pretty. The drive thru line was insanely long so we opted to go inside. The service was good and the wait inside wasn't too long. Overall I recommend it.
This is the best Black Rock location I've been to by far in terms of service and atmosphere. There's free WiFi and plenty of seating and table space if you need some space to study. I had the eggnog latte and a peppermint mocha while I was here. This feels more like the drink itself, but the eggnog latte was way too sweet and the peppermint mocha was meh compared to Starbucks and other coffee shops. I'm still planning to try more drinks while I continue to come here to get some work done :)
It is always pleasant going in! The atmosphere is always social! This particular black rock had the music so loud, that I couldn’t have a conversation with the person I went with so we left. The coffee is always good, I normally get iced black tea, iced matcha tea, the food is always good and always hot, price point is less than 10.00 per person, unless you decide to stack up on extra shots of espresso, besides the loud music, which I only mention because even with hearing aides, it was difficult to tune everything out. I highly recommend for coffee and food, and if your into a lot of background noise while, you do some homework or work then this is the place to be seen.
Great service! Good brews! Nice spot for a coffee with conversation, digital trolling or listening to the music. Inside and outdoor seating. But, not sure why the patio is on the east side of the building 🤔 in AZ! Zero shade!!!!!!!!!!
Went there to catch up with a friend, spent hours talking there, musics a bit loud but it's good so we didn't mind. Quick service, tasty drinks for cheaper price for more oz's (I personally got a medium Mocha with whipped cream and paid less than $7, thats a win for me. Their mediums are 16oz, I got a blended which was made perfect for me. It wasn't painfully sweet with flavoring but it wasn't bitter where I should've just ordered a drip coffee) and theres a calorie chart with suggestions online if you need to watch stuff like that :)
I have been there a few times over the last 2 years, mainly because there was no other option nearby. Parking is a little tight when the area is busy. Staff is friendly but never seems to go the extra mile by following up on how you like your beverage, thanking you for coming, etc. If you're going there to some work or a Zoom call, this isn't a quiet coffee shop. Bring noise canceling earbuds. Speakers mounted on far opposite ends of the shop, so it is fairly loud at the end tables close to bathrooms. Decor and furniture are welcoming and comfortable. I usually drink their drip coffee or Americano, which are not bad! The only food I've eaten was the gluten-free banana bread, which isn't the tastiest, but at least it's not too sweet. Overall, I would still do a coffee stop here but try to go during less busy periods.
I feel like they are not listening as well as they used to when I order. My mom's coffee doesn't taste vanilla even when she asks for extra vanilla. My niece ordered a hot chocolate and we received a mocha coffee she doesn't like coffee.
I just went through the drive-through and ordered. The barista was really nice or at least I thought until I drove off. When I greeted her I said good morning it was please and thank you for everything but yet I drive off and I hear her say customers are so rude. I really hope she wasn’t talking about me, I believe that if you’re going to make a comment you should wait and make sure your customers do not hear you. Otherwise normally everyone is so nice I get great service. The coffee is really great but my experience today was not good.
I went thru the drive-through today at about 445pm and ordered an iced caramel blondie. I've ordered this several times in the past, but today's was a real letdown. It was almost tasteless. If I had time I would have come inside to have it remade. If this was my 1st one, there would never have been a 2nd or 3rd. Normally this location and Iced caramel blondies are great. The service and staff are always pleasant. Maybe a newbie made my drink.
I haven’t been to Black Rock Coffee Bar for a year. When I returned a few weeks back, I had the best blended matcha latte ever. This drink in particular keeps me coming back. However, I ordered the same drink today for my friend to try out for the first time. We both were disappointed in our drinks. I tasted no matcha, just pure sugar with whipped cream.
$8.50 for a medium iced coffee with some flavoring is wild. Nice employees, but too expensive and it taste like regular iced coffee. Nothing special. If anything, it actually tastes a bit watered down compared to competitors. definitely don’t really have a reason to come back.
First off, let me say that the drinks are good, the food is good and the staff is very nice and pleasant. HOWEVER, the speed at which you get your order is dreadfully slooooooow. I have been to this location several times and it's always been very slow. I even went inside once hoping that I could get my 1 drink faster, no such luck. Today, they even had a young girl outside, with no shade, taking orders, it's 108!! At least Chick-fil-A has shade, misters and drinks for their outdoor employees. Anyway, I was in line for 20 min with only 5 cars in front of me. I'm not sure what needs to be fixed but I probably will not be returning to this location, it's just a ridiculous wait time.
Great service and coffee, but the food had a lot to be desired. English muffins were hard and chewy.
really wanted to love Black Rock Coffee, but it's just not worth it. I’ve been here 3 times and The drinks are overpriced. Something that would cost me around $5 and change at Dutch Bros or Starbucks ends up being $7 here, especially since they charge extra just for a milk alternative. The service is slower, and the drinks are super inconsistent. One day it's okay, the next it's watered down or way too stale tasting. Also, there's barely a menu. It feels like a guessing game every time. Disappointing for the price. Go a mile west to the Dutch bros or find a starbucks
Their coffee is decent. It used to be much better. Their Mexican Mocha for example, used to have a more rich mocha flavor, now it tastes like they cut the chocolate in half when making it. They also sell these muffins, if you can call them that. Buyer beware, they're organic oat flavorless trash with about 2-3 blueberries in it, and small, like, really small, especially for the price. Honestly for the money and quality that they're at now, just go to Starjunks, dutchbums, or make coffee at home.
Black Rock Coffee Has Lost Its Way I used to love Black Rock Coffee for its bold brews, friendly vibe, and reasonable prices. But lately, it feels like the company has lost touch with what made it special. Prices have skyrocketed across the menu — we're talking $6–$8 for a basic drink, and even more for customizations that used to be free or low-cost. What was once an affordable daily stop now feels like a luxury splurge. Worse, the quality and portions haven’t improved to justify the price hikes. In fact, the drinks often seem watered down, and staff appear rushed — a clear sign of a business prioritizing volume and profit over consistency and service. Black Rock seems more focused on rapid expansion and profit margins than on customer loyalty or value. It’s disappointing to see a company that built its brand on community and accessibility slowly turn into another money-hungry chain. Unless things change, they risk pushing away the loyal base that helped build them up in the first place. Please go back to the good old days...
First things first, everyone was nice and very quick to get orders out! However, the reason for my rating is due to the promotion going on today, Free Drinks (October 29, 2021). I assumed it would only be one drink per person which is fine, however, I needed to also order 3 other drinks and was prepared to pay for them. So I have my business team waiting for coffee from me only to be told there is no way to pay and its only free drinks today. I don’t understand why a business would not allow customers to purchase extra drinks at regular price even if there is a promotion going on. So I was only able to get coffee for one of us out of 4 and had to drive somewhere else to get the rest of the order. I even offered to the cashier that I wanted to pay and she said there is no way to accept payment today. That does not make sense at all for a business to not allow for extra merchandise and/or product to be purchased. I wasted 30 minutes of my morning waiting for this coffee only to get one drink, and it was not as “Mexican” as I was hoping the Mexican Mocha to be. Wish there was more spice, add some cayenne pepper or something!! I am not sure if I will ever go back. Very disappointed.
I used to enjoy this place. I would go here for coffee and a small bite of food in the mornings after workout and before work. Sadly, the coffee here has really fallen off. Cappuccinos and many other warm drinks are not done to typical barista standards, being way too hot and not fresh. Cold drinks like their cold brews have also taken a dive recently. Tasting very chemically and watered down. The staff is always so polite, happy and nice, great people and people management from an external view.
Recently the coffee has been inconsistent. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes it tastes burned and gross. They put to much foam at the top of coffee. I've decoded I won't be returning there because they have changed rewards program once again. This is two times in the last 6 months. Now instead of having to give my phone number they want me to download an App. If I don't download the app I can't use the rewards. I don't want to use my phone for a bunch of apps etc. They should keep the original rewards process.
Ordered my 4 drinks and 2 pastries ahead online direct from their website. “Track my order” showed it ready at 9:45am and drinks weren’t ready until 10:10am. And they didn’t actually have any pastries. They had no way of refunding me the money I paid. On the receipt from Black Rock Coffee I clicked order help and contact us. The two phones numbers weren’t working valid numbers and to fill out a complaint online it required me to consent to receiving marketing emails which I do not. Terrible business operations. I’m editing my review to acknowledge Black Rock’s response. The link they included again requires me to consent to receive marketing emails in order to communicate with them. Terrible.
This place was so great when it first opened. Now I do my best to avoid this location. Coffee doesn't taste good anymore, and the blonde girl who's frequently at the drive-through window is ALWAYS in the worst mood! She rolls her eyes when I ask to redeem points or when I use my student ID on Tuesdays.
Morning crew I never have issues with, but whom works the night isn’t very good. They consistently mess up my orders. They never have good people skills. I try to go every few months at this point to see if maybe they can get a drink right and they end up failing. Don’t offer whipped cream and the customer says yes and then don’t put it on the drink. I order Carmel drizzle to my drink, but tend to always forget.
I’ve been trying so hard to keep coming to Blackrock because I love the atmosphere and music and it’s my favorite place to do work, but I just cannot get a good tasting coffee here. It used to be somewhat better but now the taste is really off. Like others have said the drinks have a very chemical taste now, to me it’s like drinking cough syrup or medicine. I’m not sure if they’re using different syrups or something? I’ve tried getting the drinks less sweet which helps a bit. But I’m just over paying $6-7 for a drink that I end up not liking.
Ordered a pumpkin blondie and a shaken espresso with pumpkin, none of them had any flavor. It's not the first time that I come here and the drinks are underwhelming compared to other locations. I will definitely not return.
I work for Uber and have to pick up from there quite often. They never have it ready and are always super rude. It takes time for us to get there and our job is to grab and deliver....not sit there while you make it. They also will have customers there that they take the order and serve before helping me even when I've been sitting and waiting. I will never accept an order for then again
I waited in line 30 minutes to order a drip coffee. There were about 8 employees working behind the counter, but only half of them were actually doing anything - the others were just socializing among themselves. Then I got the coffee and it was probably the worst drip coffee I've ever had, somehow it was extremely burnt and watered down at the same time. I'd rather have a keurig pod than this.
Blonde girl working the window with the tats had a mega attitude today, made the whole experience really off putting. Dont argue with the customers because you made a blended drink instead of an iced one like the order on the recipt shows. Used to love coming here but the service just isn't it anymore. Good think Scooters is opening up near by :)
Went there today for the student Tuesday and the girl at the window was so rude and wouldn’t honor the $4 student thing even with ID. Been going here for two years and never had an issue. Waste of my time and won’t be going back, switching to Dutch bros.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent visits to Black Rock. Despite being the only customer, the staff consistently ignored me, instead engaging in conversation with each other or appearing busy. Unfortunately, their behavior came across as rude and unwelcoming, leading me to decide not to patronize the establishment again.
1st time experience Black Rock Coffee and more than likely won’t be going back. Starbucks is trash and I heard good things about about this place, but sad to say extremely disappointed or maybe it my fault for ordering a fancy drink. I ordered a Medium Irish Coffee that upon receiving knew it was going to taste exactly how it looked. I told my wife I wasn’t going to drink it because I know it’s going to be all Cream/Half & Half. I put the straw in and took a sip, immediately put it back down and told her yup all cream. There was no hint or taste of espresso in the drink. If I wanted to drink Cream/Half &Half I would have asked for that specifically. It probably won’t matter that I’ll never go back but that’s not how you do business. You have to be better than the competition and right now you’re not.
They tried too say that i’ve been to this location already even tho i don’t live on this part of town. I heard about black rock from one of my friends and when i went too sign up and use my free reward they attempted to deny it and ask personal question. 0 stars
I'm not sure why it always seems to take forever at this location. I guess its because I see everyone talking and doing their own thing except for working. Sure, have fun at work, but there comes a point where you're just slacking and purposely ignore customers. There's also a blonde who seems like a "supervisor"? Im not sure but she's bossy and constantly rude every time I visit. It's highly unwelcoming. I watched as she rudely told a customer inquiring about an online order to hold on, made him wait while she leaned on the counter. I think this is my last visit for a good while. I'll just have to go to the one by my work. They are always so humble and friendly.
I'm a delivery driver. They recently changed their policy in a way that really seems to be a punitive action towards delivery workers. Rather than having a dedicated pickup area for online orders, they now force us to wait in line with people who haven't even placed orders yet. Every other place that I know of has a pickup area. Today, after waiting in line, I asked the worker who checked me in if there was a manager I could talk to about potentially changing the policy or explaining why it's needed. She said no, and that it was a corporate decision. I commented that it was horrible customer service and left it at that. I didn't blame her, or berate her. I know it's not her fault in the slightest. When I was handed my order by a different young lady, she told me I should "be nicer to them next time I come in". She then proceeded to argue with me about how they're too busy to handle delivery or mobile orders the way that literally every other busy restaurant does. She asked me how they could do it better. I told her. She continued to argue. I told her that if the first young lady felt I was being mean, would she please apologize to her for me. That was never my intention. The employees here that I've come in contact with today behaved in a very unprofessional and aggressive way. I'd love to never go there again and don't look forward to the next time I'm sent a delivery request for this store. 1 Star.
I normally have good experiences at black rock, but today was interesting lol I ordered my drinks and got to the window and the girl who was working the window handed me the tablet to tip (which I always do to be nice, and like I said I’ve never had bad experiences before) and then turned to start talking with a coworker about how she was sweating so bad in the gym she took off most of her clothes and was still sweating while practically naked. I don’t care what people talk about but she didn’t really deliver “customer service” and it’s the fact she handed me my drinks and my Sunrise fuel was all orange juice, and when I tried it, it wasn’t even what I ordered. It was a completely different drink. I wish I could take my tip back because I didn’t even get what I ordered or the service that’s usually good.
Ive been here 2 times and EVERYTIME I come they are out of ingredients like carbonated water. They charge my card then to tell me they are out of it. everytime I have came here they have charged me then 10 minutes later inform me they're out of carbonated water for my fizz drink. Disappointing. Just keep my bisoness at my other coffee shops. WARNING DOUBLE CHECK THEY HAVE WHAT U WANT BEFORE THEY CHARGE U AS IT TAKES DAYS TO GET REFUNDED. DO BETTER BLACK ROCK GET SOME AUDITS AND INVENTORY UNDER CONTROL.
Very disappointed. I came today around 8:37am and was told they didn’t have blue raspberry. So the recommended red raspberry and I was fine with that. I get to the window and I’m told they don’t have it either. So frustrating waiting for something they didn’t even have yet offered. No empathy given.
What a terrible experience. I have enough points for two or three free drinks, as I used to frequent there often. One downside of the place is that it is incredibly busy with all the new additions and stools around it. Out of your waiting line in the store or your in the car backed up out through the parking lot. Went there quickly, as I was coming back from a hike, and didn't have a phone. After waiting all that time, to finally order, I was told that I needed to use the app to get my free drinks. Drinks. This isn't the first time they're switched their point system, and I've lost free drinks. It's a waste of time, it's a waste of money, and I feel like I've been taken advantage of multiple times.
Terrible experience. I went for the first time tonight and they did not even say hello when I drove to the window. They didn’t know the order I had just placed. They messed it up and had to remake it without even apologizing. The girl and the guy that were on shift tonight seemed annoyed. Will not be coming back.
Ladies are super slow and not professional at all. The guy working there is very fast tho.
If you are going to go to this location, make sure you go through the drive-thru. At least that way they won't forget you 5 minutes after you order inside. We paid $22 for a smoothie, sandwich and an iced coffee. They play music so extremely loud inside that you cant hear yourself talk, nor can you hear if your order is called out. We were sitting right next to their make-line and our items were sitting on the counter for 15 minutes as if we didnt just interact with the staff. There are 4+ Starbucks alone within a mile radius of this place and that's how you conduct business? Thats insane lol. Save your time and money folks, this one ain't it.
I was disappointed with my drive-thru experience today. I felt rushed while ordering, and when I asked clarifying questions, the employee responded in a way that felt impatient. My drink size was incorrect and I was charged for the larger size. When I asked about cold foam that should have been included, the response felt dismissive. I understand everyone has tough days, but customer interactions should still feel respectful
This is the second time we’ve had the exact same awful experience using mobile order at Black Rock Coffee. We arrived at 11:24 AM and didn’t leave until 11:54 AM — a 30-minute wait after ordering ahead. Even after asking about our order, there was no apology, no urgency, and no accountability. It was obvious that drive-thru customers were being prioritized while mobile orders were ignored. Other customers even commented on how long we had been waiting. Meanwhile, employees were socializing and laughing instead of doing their jobs. To make matters worse, my drink wasn’t even made correctly, despite paying extra for add-ons that were missing. That’s absolutely ridiculous. This was supposed to be my girlfriend’s birthday drink, and the experience completely ruined it. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service is unacceptable. We will never come back. Dutch Bros and Starbucks would never treat customers this way.
Twice I've ordered from here and waited way to long. The last mobile order I made I waited 24 mins even after I asked. Asked a second time and they said sorry we're making it now. Should not wait 25 mins for coffee. Won't be back
I usually enjoy visiting Black Rock Coffee, but I had an unpleasant experience at the Sarival & Waddell location around 4:20 PM on Saturday November 8th, 2025. After politely asking for my drink to be corrected, one of the baristas muttered something under his breath that sounded like “douchebag.” I was taken aback because I made my request respectfully and didn’t expect that kind of response from staff. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but professionalism and kindness go a long way in customer service. I hope management can address this so that future interactions reflect the friendly and respectful atmosphere Black Rock is known for.
Start reading the order correctly. I’ve been in 3 times this week and every time my order was wrong. First time I ordered an iced mocha with almond milk and was given an iced almond milk latte with no mocha. Second time an extra large iced butterscotch. I was given a large blended vanilla. Third time I ordered an extra large iced pumpkin and was given an extra large blended vanilla with huge chunks of ice that weren’t blended correctly. No pumpkin. I tip well, and I didn’t say anything on any of these visits. Just took what I was given and drove away. Including tip I’ve spent about $40 this week here and wasn’t given what I paid for AT ALL. Read your tickets correctly and stop being more focused on gossip than your guests orders. I won’t be back for awhile. You completely missed the mark.
The customer service at this location is awful. The morning crew only focuses on the drive through customers. Customers that choose to go inside to enjoy the great atmosphere are not greeted or acknowledged. I'm from Washington State where Black Rock always has the best customer service and great coffee. The manager at this location needs to be trained to smile and greet every customer that enters their store. After waiting and waiting, I just left without a coffee or a smile.
