Came in for a family meal with a very large party. The staff were friendly, patient and accommodating and the menu was jam packed with options that were fit for all of us to have lots of choice. Special mention to our waitress Molly who was brilliant with our large table (including a few family members who think they’re jokers) and handled our long orders and requests for photos with ease. A brilliant night!
Never disappoints us. We’ve enjoyed every visit. The most amazing atmosphere with 1900s jazz music and theme which transcends the experience. Delicious selection of food and for a great price. Fitting for any occasion. Dates, anniversaries, families and groups. The staff have all been kind each time we’ve been and go above and beyond for you. We will definitely be back and are excited to introduce it to more people. 100% recommend. Thank you, Paco’s.
Excellent food and service, as we were a large group we were split tables but they coped well. Prices were reasonable. Everyone enjoyed it.
Excellent meal, great service, we were given plenty time between meals and drinks but never left waiting for anything. The restaurant would suit most types of gathering.
Stunning restaurant with a wonderful old time atmosphere. From the music to the decor, it feels like stepping back in time in a beautiful way. Wide menu and really nice drinks. It’s very spacious, making tables feel private as not crammed together. It’s a must do if you’re in Perth. Cannot recommend enough.
We visited for dinner as a family and had a fantastic family dinner. Easy to get too in the city, the only thing that was a drawback for me was having mobility issues and the stairs leading into the building. We did not want to sit outside on the terracing, so it took me time to manage the stairs. But having gotten into the restaurant, we had a wonderful dinner. We did not order starters, just our main dishes, desserts and drinks. The service was great, food was excellent as was the cocktails and we had a fantastic evening. Would return again, a little negative for the access for mobility reasons for myself but overall we all had an lovely time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Christmas Eve anniversary meal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Paco’s Italian Restaurant on Christmas Eve, celebrating our wedding anniversary — and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, festive, and welcoming, without feeling rushed or overcrowded despite it being such a busy night. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely lovely, making us feel special from start to finish. The food was exceptional — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly cooked with care. Every course was spot on, and the quality was exactly what you want for a special occasion meal. It felt like proper Italian hospitality done right. What really stood out was how relaxed and enjoyable the whole evening was. Christmas Eve can be hectic, but Paco’s managed to create a calm, celebratory experience that made our anniversary feel truly memorable. Thank you to the whole team for helping us celebrate such an important occasion in style. We’ll absolutely be back — and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paco’s to anyone looking for fantastic food, great service, and a brilliant atmosphere ❤️🍷
This restaurant has such a great ambience. A lot of vintage style photos and sports equipment are shown for decoration. The food was good. Very friendly and kind staff. Restroom 🚻 are very nice. The restaurant has two floors all made of vintage style. The dining experience was great. Most of the British cuisines are available. The taste was good.
Great food, very good service. An interesting eclectic mix of decorations - old family portraits, old plane collections, old stamps to name a few of the objects across the restaurant. A bit pricey but an excellent and varied menu with good vegan options.
Visited as we were in the nearby hotel and were blown away by the food. The beef pasta with truffle oil is one of the best things I've had in ages. The atmosphere was great and the staff accommodating. Good prices too considering the quality. Next time we're in Perth we're def going back. We had starters, main, desert and cocktails, all really good.
The service was flawless. The waitress had to deal with 40 of us! Even catered for late comers. The food was good quality, hot and good portion. Beautifully presented.
A prawn cocktail and bread and oils for starters. Prawn and chicken fajitas and a spicy chicken burger. 2 cokes all for under 60 quid. Delicious and great staff will definitely be back. We have been coming here since opening in 1990. We would recommend Pacos to all well worth a visit if your in Perth.
I loved this place! The service was just excellent. So attentive and professional. The food was great and good value. Huge selection, with some nice details - gluten free pizza dough available, buffalo mozzarella, allergy friendly alternatives. The decor is incredible... its like a museum - you could spend hoirs in there - but no dust in sight! The manager was amazing - when we had any allergy queries about the food or issues with the coffee (it wasn't great) he was right there, in person, making sure everything was up to standard and any requirements or issues we had were catered to, answered and compensated. Everything was amazing accept the coffee... and he apologised then got behind the machine himself to deliver an excellent replacement. What a gent!
Well ....where to even begin! I've never eaten in Perth before and my friend decided to show me the town, so she picked Paco's for dinner and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! From being warmly welcomed, to being seated and served our delicious beverages so swiftly, I was awe struck at the traditional decor and authentic feel of the place. The menu is vast and I will obviously HAVE to come back to go through it properly but everything sounded AMAZING! I chose the Gnocchi stuffed with haggis in a Drambuie cream sauce 🤤🤤🤤 I'm still dreaming about it now! I could go on, but honestly get yourself here for eats.🤌🏾 Thank you to all the staff for such a great first experience, can't wait to return.
What a lovely unusual restaurant to sit, relax and have a meal. It was like being in a museum with all the amazing items on the walls. Walking up the stairs to toilets is worth looking doing even if you don't need to go to the toilet. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor tables. It has a very extensive and interesting menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful unlike some restaurants i have been to recently. The staff can make or break a meal experience. Thank you very much.
We had a wonderful evening. Service was very slow, but the staff were amazing. We went for a 21st birthday. The food was amazing. I am gluten-free. Had Spaghetti seafood, oh my god. Yummy.
This place has just took my number1 spot on my restaurant list, can't believe how good this place is every single detail is done to the highest standard the owner is on point running his business like a well oiled machine staff are trained up and know their stuff place is clean, toilets are clean food is amazing outdoor eating is very enjoyable here with under table heaters built into the tables disabled access aswell great atmosphere ,I HONESTLY CANT RECOMMEND PACO'S ENOUGH SUPERB
Back again because I enjoyed it so much last time. It’s a good atmosphere here and I recommend you book in advance. Plenty to offer and food tastes great.
Very good food! We share one starter (tex combo) and one T-Bone for 2 people and we eat very well.
I was on holiday in Perth, and we chose to eat the first night in this restaurant. Seen how beautiful this restaurant we had the second night dinner in the same place. The restaurant looks so nice, the staff are really kind and good. The food was good, warm,in time.
Mothering Sunday treat with my daughters and grandson. Waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Food was great - table has sea bass, scampi and lasagne. A very enjoyable evening.
Working away by myself the staff were friendly and accommodating. I had the Stornoway black pudding starter followed by the T bone steak, all served promptly and well presented. The beer, food and staff are all excellent I will be back when I'm next in the area
Nearing the end of a long day of driving, we stopped at Paco's. It's been about a decade since I last visited their Stirling branch which sadly appears to have closed. Nonetheless, the Perth restaurant was everything I remembered. We had varying food preferences and everyone was well catered for. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and delivered quickly. And the prices were very reasonable. I'd highly recommend the restaurant and look forward to visiting again next time I'm in Perth.
Absolutely stunning place and amazing service. The food was even better then i thought it would be!! It was a great place and i look forward to going again! 😁 i couldn't get any photos of the main course because it looked so delicious i just started eating it before i remembered to take a photo 😂😂
Packed restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. Waitress a bit inexperienced especially with wine choices but overall an experience I will be happy to repeat
Bloody Brilliant. Good menu, fast service, well priced, hot food, cooked very well. House red was lovely. Really enjoy coming to Pacos.
Wonderfull food and service. Just Amazing!
It is the best and our favourite restaurant in Perth and the surrounding areas! From the atmosphere to the staff to the food to the drinks, immaculate service. The whole menu is a big choice, you will find at least one dish to like, portion size does not disappoint, the drinks menu and standards are high, they have a long choice of amazing cocktails to order and are new to try! The decor of the place is from another era, you will be met with so many antique items and I am sure all have a story. The staff there are all highly attentive and were extremely helpful when asked about a taxi service. Alongside the furniture and with items on every corner, it is almost like diving into an older era. Shortly said it is not a dining restaurant, it is an experience not to forget! We will for sure be coming back!
Loved everything about this place! It was fantastic! Definitely best to book, my husband and I went on a Monday evening and it was packed. Having said that, you didn't feel overwhelmed as the tables are nicely separate from each other and you could still have a romantic meal and good conversation. Highly recommend this place if you are in Perth. Please don't go by it!
Great place to eat, it's quite close to the pay and display parking in Mill Street Multi story car park ( don't park in the street outside as it's a no loading/parking area and a few of the cars there were getting parking fines). There are plenty of tables inside with a few outside (heaters included). The whole interior feels old fashioned and has loads of items on the walls. The area for dining was clean and tidy. We were greeted the second we stepped through the door and were taken to our table. We ordered drinks and food which came out soon after. As we were not too hungry we ordered from the kids menu, which were smaller portions. The cod and fries tasted ok but looked like they were bought frozen and then heated up. The pasta we ordered tasted nice and although it was from the kids menu it was still a big enough bowl, the fish and chips however were small but luckily we were told it was a small portion so I ordered an extra side of fries. You get an after eight with your latte which is a nice touch but at £3.85 a cup we found that a bit expensive. The servers on this day, 12/08/2022, round about 2pm were polite, prompt and well presented. The toilets (up 3 flights of stairs) were clean and tidy. Disabled toilets downstairs.
As a Spaniard I can tell that the tapas were all right, not bad :) maybe my only complain: the croquetas were very plain, as per the rest, nice bravas, allioli, squid and the mushrooms were very good :)
Paco's has been going for decades. The restaurant itself is nice, the interior, and staff friendly. The location is great for visitors and central too. Only criticism I have is over the years the food has become a bit bland and overpriced. They do need to review the menu here. I wouldn't now choose here as a first choice. All in though, good evening and good location.
Like other reviewers have mentioned, if you are vegan or vegetarian, be prepared to be underwhelmed by the non-meat/non-dairy dishes. I have tried a variety of the menu (credit is due for the large selection of veg/vegan dishes) over the past few years, and 90% of the savoury menu is lacklustre in flavour. Meat dishes by contrast are quite tasty, I am told. A bit more love and care for the vegan/veg menu would go a long way. On the positive side, service is excellent, and atmosphere is good, if a bit loud at times.
Food nothing special looked bought in. Service good. Seats are a pain they're rustic & wooden. Has a good collection of brick a brack to look at whilst waiting.
Nice, family restaurant in Perth. It's very spacious and it has a huge variety of food options. We liked the interior decoration with all the antiques on the walls. My vegan burger was not that nice, but I think it was only because I ordered the vegan one. My friend who ordered the beef one was very satisfied.
Pacos is a quirky restaurant, last time I dined in here was 10+ years ago and the place hasn't changed. The restaurant itself is like an antique shop with all sorts of pictures and ornaments hanging from the walls and ceiling. The food was ok the chicken burger was gristly however no complaints from the other dishes. The service was great the staff work hard.
We visited after checking out the menu online and there's no faulting the choice, there is simply something for everyone. The restaurant was busy when we visited and a small wait for a table. I ordered the ribs which was ok, it was advertised as "slow cooked" but mine certainly weren't. I wouldn't order them again. My wife ordered the fajitas and enjoyed them, the quality of the steak was good. Overall it was an ok dining experience but we wouldn't be a rush to return.
Terrible service and quite possibly sat in the worst seat in the entire restaurant, when only three tables were occupied, wish I'd refused it in hindsight. The decor is unusual and would possibly have enjoyed it had the service from the girls working there not been terrible. Little interaction, felt like a hindrance to them, no smiles and an actual eye roll. Shocking. The food was ok, just ok for the price you pay is not worth a second visit, or even a first if looking for somewhere based on reviews.
Very disappointed. We have ordered the stake well done, got it raw. They have taken that back to cook it more after they brought it back it was still not well done. The fish was cooked from frozen ( so it looked). The restaurant itself has a nice feel to it, but the food was very disappointing. The level was below weatherspoon.
Went back after going for the first time ,which was fantastic, but the next time was so disappointing. The first time we went ,we both had the fajitas. They were amazing, plentiful and the chicken was cut thick as well as the steak . Our most recent visit , a Saturday night I ordered the fajitas again , it was so disappointing. The chicken and steak were cut thin and was small portion. I didn't have any topping for my last wrap , they were tiny too . £18 I said to the manager. He said the portion sizes had not been reduced. So disappointing. Won't be going back . Shame
Bad experience here last night unfortunately. We were very excited by the expansive veggie menu but it was completely underwhelming. Particularly the cauliflower which was described in a mouth-watering way but was literally half a cauliflower, not cooked in any seasonings (not even salt and pepper) and with the tiniest dollop of sauce on top. Bearing in mind this was nearly £17!! Also bad was the Mediterranean veg platter starter, like a vegan charcuterie board, but which was in reality just cold vegetables, some french bread and no dressing/sauce, not even butter for the bread. We spoke to two different servers during each course about the food being bad and both their responses were completely useless and we were still made to pay full price. I'm baffled by the good reviews! Only good thing is the atmosphere / general decor which is pleasant.
