You can’t imagine how this ancient building has be adapted to serve food in outdoor patios, beer gardens, and Gingerbread Fantasy rooms. The rib and carrot dishes are to die for- so tender and seasoned so tastily. We loved our salad and pasta dishes too! The servers are in colorful sweaters, so friendly, and plentiful. People at the bar having the most fun.
Interesting beer garden / restaurant with both bar seating and tables, including picnic tables similar to European group seating. There was s happy hour from 3 to 5 and the food was very good. I had the brisket which was great by itself. The BBQ sauce served with it was a bit heavy in cumin for me, but still very good.
Food was great suggestions from our server for an appetizer was spot on.The drinks were unique and service was very good our serverTJF was very attentive.
Oh my God, go get you some of those pickles! The food is always good, Chelsea's been our server multiple times now and she provides excellent service. They even tolerate my silly dog, that's a feat in itself. Thank you so much!
Someone recommend this place, and I wanted to try it. Well, lucky me, as it was a very nice experience. It's good for anyone, the whole family or the whole sports team if needed. Food come in, like, under 5 minutes. Staff, extremely friendly and nice. The brisket was awesome. So, I do recommend it to you All. Enjoy.
Oktoberfest at Brewsters was a blast! Great food like schnitzel and giant pretzels as well as great beers. The band was excellent and the staff were amazing. There were staffers covering every aspect of service with good cheer. The energy levels were impressive, both customers and staff. This is a must do during October.
Brewsters is a fantastic outdoor/covered dining destination, especially for those who enjoy live music and a lively atmosphere. The vibrant decor, particularly during Halloween and Christmas, is festive and truly over the top, adding to the overall charm of the place. It’s a great spot for families and large groups to gather, but be sure to make a reservation to secure your spot, as it can get busy. With its welcoming vibe and delightful ambiance, Brewsters is hands down one of my favorites to take people. An amazing and enjoyable place to relax and unwind.
Fun, energetic and happenin' place! Great food options and service was outstanding! Our group had chicken sandwiches, burnt end mac n cheese, shoshito peppers and a sampling of different beers! Ambiance was fantastic - live music, tv's, games and picnic tables galore! Kid friendly. We made reservations.
There's great food, cocktails, all the meats, but great salad and veggie options too. A welcome spot for dogs, kids, and boisterous meetings. Indoor and outdoor seating is mostly "share" table seating options, high tops and low top picnic style tables, a bar inside and out in the nicer weather, fire pits, a roof top garden. Tried a few cocktails, all well balanced. Service was great! Can't wait to come back in summer to enjoy the patio, though it was pleasant even during a rain storm. Really fun place with a menu full of food I want to try. Burnt ends on most items would be a plus!
Really good restaurant, went during holiday season, really enjoyable atmosphere, decent food. Try the lagunitas LSS definitely worth it.
We came here during Happy hour which is Monday - Friday between 3-5pm. The drinks and food were very reasonably priced during this time. The atmosphere of this beer garden is very nice and good for socializing. It's nice that they had the heat lamp on even in the afternoon, since it was slightly chilly outside.
Get the duck fries haha! Really cool spot in Petaluma my boyfriend and I stumbled upon. We were just looking for some barbecue and we found a great outdoor patio space with some live music and good food to go with it. I think it’s a great stop on your way up to 101.
Done antiguing/thrifting? Definitely destress at Brewsters. Great vibe. Tons of patio space. Go hungry 'cuz the fried chicken sandwich (I know...make an exception. When you go) is amazing. The outdoor smoker is so cool, churning out sweet/hint of spice ribs. Beer selection is huge. My refreshing mojito was deeee-lish.
Saw a handful of good reviews so I decided to give it a try and wasn't let down. The night I went the football game was on alongside of the doing bingo for the small crowd. The beer selection was really nice and tasty. Very refreshing and also they have cocktails available too. The food was very tasty. I recommend the chicken sandwich. Also the poutine was okay. The cookie plate was hysterical. Very underwhelming. But other than that the atmosphere is super great here and is a nice spot to get some drinks with friends or family.
Great time, great beer, great service. Outdoor seating with live music on the weekends which was really good (check website to see when musicians are there)! Space heaters to keep the area warm on chilly nights. The beer was great - both husband and I found multiple options we loved. Everything we ordered was delicious (brussel sprouts, warm pretzels, BBQ brisket). Not much pretzel or brisket for your money so if you are hungrier order a plate with more included, but the brisket was smoked nicely with a decent bark. We had a great time listening to the music, drinking, and people watching and would recommend others try it out too.
Great place for groups. Their outdoor dining area is lovely. It looks like they have a small stage as well for live music. We came with a group on Friday for lunch. We ordered various appetizers and entrees and drinks. I opted for a salad and which was a classic panzanella salad but after seeing everyone else’s burgers, ribs, fries, was regretful. Haha Service was great - was attentive and regularly checked on us. He also made it a point to tell us that due to the size of our party, gratuity was already added which I appreciated.
This place is absolutely amazing, the live music was great. The chicken sandwich is most likely the best one I’ve ever had, the carrots with the Cajun rub were absolutely delicious and the Carolina barbecue sauce is probably one of the best barbecue sauces that I’ve ever tried. The beer selection was great in the mix drinks menu had some really cool drinks on there. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast definitely coming back again!!
Love the live music and large open space. Pet friendly and saw there were fire pits for the evening. The guava cider was refreshing. Tried the fried chicken sandwich and it was good. the beef burger, was perfectly cooked medium rare with pink in the middle! The burger was tasty, tender, and juicy! The duck fat fries were delicious! Tasty and addictive. The broccolini appetizer was delicious and tender. Service was quick and attentive!
2nd time dining here and it was just as good if not better than the first time! Very dog friendly, they even have a “puppy patty” for your dog. Be warned it’s $10, but it’s a huge patty (same size as the human burger). We ordered the Sho burger (with kimchi & American cheese), fried chicken sandwich and regular burger, plus the summer G&T (very refreshing!) and a couple of the sour patch beers. Fast & friendly service and live music on the weekends sometimes! We will definitely be back.
Brewster Beer Garden is a fun place to go when you want to grab a cold brew and some good food. Tonight there was a live country band. I am not much for county but the band was great and I was really digging it. I am also not much of a fries person but Brewster cooks their fries in duck fat which makes them taste great. All the food is good and the beers are reasonably priced. The service was great as well. Quite fast actually. If you get a chance, stop in at Brewster Beer Garden.
This is an excellent place to meet up with a friend or friends. There's plenty of room. The atmosphere is fun and festive as we visited during the holidays. They have great beer selection and cocktails as well. There is something for everyone.
We sat outside in the patio. There was a live band playing some fun music and people were dancing. There was a fire pit with chairs around it. The outdoor atmosphere was great! I orders the tuna bowl and it was much smaller than I thought it would be for the price. If you’re hungry I wouldn’t order it. We also had an order in the fried pickle chip and they were burnt and were a bit sweet or something. They were not good. The beer options were great and I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Quality of the flaky tender brisket, perfect fish chips, and a truly delightful made from scratch chicken sandwich makes this a place for sport events or families on a good night. Recommended for everyone please come enjoy this treasure space tented caravan of good food and fun for all
Very atmospheric restaurant, pleasant service, delicious food, incredibly tasty beer. What is important to me, this place is very friendly to pets. This is my favorite place for the last time. My favorite place! After my extremely unsuccessful visit to one brewery (I will not name the name), I realized that the evening had to be saved and came here. Once again, this restaurant pleased me: Attentive and caring staff, festive atmosphere, very well thought out heating, despite the fact that all visitors are sitting outside. Recommend!
Great spot for burgers, brews and live bands! We had the Beyond burger for the first time with fries and the grass fed burger with fries. Both burgers were really good, nice texture and they actually did make the grass fed medium rare, as requested. Fries were really good( not sure if mine were made with the duck fat as they normally are made there or not) not too greasy. Service was friendly and attentive. The band was solid, as usual at Brewsters. Definitely will be back next time we're in the neighborhood!
First time at this restaurant, and we loved it. It was beautifully decorated and vibrand for the holydays, the whole staff was wearing holiday sweaters which added to the atmosphere ( nice touch). The menu had many options, the food delicious, and the propotions generous. Overall, it was a great experience...good job!!!
We went here last night for dinner and some drinks and had an amazing time. The food was delicious. We got the ribs and a mixed green salad. There was a live band playing which was nice to have dinner and drinks to. The service was also amazing. They were very attentive and kind. Highly recommend.
Finally a great outdoor beer garden, with really good food options. Very family (and dog!) friendly if that matters to you. If you don’t want to be around children, recommend waiting til after 8pm to visit. We were a group of 5 (2 adults + 3 teenagers plus a well behaved dog). We got a few burgers (juicy, flavorful and a generous portion), a fried chicken sandwich (enormous and actual chicken under the breading) and a salad (fresh and flavorful - just right amount of dressing). Service was very friendly and adequate (a few times we wanted like an extra plate or napkin and it took some time to get our waitress’ attention). All in all an excellent experience. We all left feeling happy with our meals and the time we spent together. Cheers to you Brewsters!
These days, it’s honestly hard to find a place that delivers both great food and great service, but Brewsters Beer Garden does exactly that every single time. Anytime we’re in town, this is a must-stop for us. It’s one of our family’s favorite spots because it truly never disappoints. The hospitality here is top-notch, and the service is consistently amazing. Chelcy and Feils deserve special recognition, they always go above and beyond, making us feel welcome from the moment we walk in. Their positive attitudes, attentiveness, and prompt service are a huge reason we keep coming back again and again. You can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience. We’ve tried many of the appetizers and salads over the years, and every single one has been fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The food is always on point, but our absolute favorites are the Farm Burger and the Chicken Sandwich, both are incredibly tasty and never miss. On top of all that, Brewsters Beer Garden has the perfect atmosphere for gathering with family and friends. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and just an all-around great place to enjoy good food and good company. If you’re looking for a spot that consistently delivers amazing food, outstanding service, and a warm, inviting environment, Brewsters Beer Garden is it. We’ll definitely keep coming back and recommending it to everyone we know.
As others have mentioned, the food is not great. It's slightly bad. But, you don't go to a Christmas spectacle for food. The place is just insanely festive. It was exactly what we were looking for and we had a great time. There's tons of space, so no issues with crowds and the service was great! I had the brisket poutine which was kind of like fries and brisket in a watery cheese soup. Do not get this. I also had the iced hot chocolate cocktail which was ok, but don't expect anything creamy, rich, and delicious. I'm still giving this place 4 stars bc I loved it. I don't care about the food.
if you are in the area, this is a super chill spot to hangout and have some yummy food and beer. Parking was a little rough, but you won't regret it.
This is such a fun and festive vibe. The food was all good. The drinks we really enjoyed, but there were a couple that were funky. The atmosphere is great, but we had booked a reservation a month in advance and we were sat right next to the door on a totally empty table where the wind and rain were blowing on us. We didn’t say anything besides asking them to keep the door shut because it was just so busy, but we were surprised to be tucked so far back into a corner by a cold open door and away from the decorations especially with a reservation. It’s also so loud in there!! That obviously cannot be changed, but it doesn’t go well for people hard of hearing or elderly. Would come again but probably would ask to be seated near or closer to decorations. The poutine was good, as was the chicken sandwich, would get it again. The drinks are all cute! But just some crazy options, our favorites were the Yippee-Kai-yay-mother and the christmapolitain!
Every town needs a Brewster's! Brewster's Christmas Miracle is a must visit and will bring a smile to your face. The ribs were good and the beer was great, but the service and atmosphere were incredible! I really wish southern Marin had a Brewster's...we would all be better for it! It is the perfect community place!
Surely the place is one of the highlights of the area but it could be a little overrated, for the long wait you should better be seated in the main area and not in the random extra room that is located in one of the corners of the place. Good beer selection, nice Christmas ambiance, the food is good for the price They have nice souvenirs at the exit. I would come back but not as my first option.
First time visiting Brewsters and I am definitely coming back! We were here on Monday day- Bingo night and $1 wing night for happy hour. The wings were great ! So was the half rack- exceeded my expectations . The beer selection is excellent. Bartenders and staff are awesome and friendly .
The decor is nice, especially at Christmas time they really go all out. They have a Santa stop by a few times through the month and other holiday events. Special holiday drink menu with lots of options. We ordered cokes they told us 2 cokes when we ordered but we did not receive cokes, i asked the waitress about the sodas being flat and she said they were craft sodas not cokes, wish they would have said that before ordering since they are $4 each. The food is good not great, the prices are a little steep, I don't think the food matches the cost. They also have a 4% charge on all drinks and food because of the Petaluma living standard for workers that they should pay but they pass it off on the customers. I have had some good servers and some kinda rude servers, but usually they are pretty nice.
We visited Petaluma for Valentine’s weekend from the Sacramento area and Brewsters was our first stop while exploring downtown. The space is huge, much bigger than we expected, with lots of outdoor seating and heaters running (which we appreciated since the weather was a little cool). When we first walked in it was a bit confusing because no one was at the front desk, but we sat ourselves and someone came over fairly quickly to help us out. The food and drink experience was solid but didn’t quite match the drink menu we were hoping for. Full disclosure: I’m a self-proclaimed craft beer snob and tend to look for smaller-batch, harder-to-find beers. The beer selection leaned more mainstream craft than unique offerings, which is ultimately why we didn’t stay long. We shared a pretzel and had a beer, both good, though the food felt a little pricey (though that may just be me being cheap). The atmosphere itself was great, and if the beer list had been more adventurous we probably would have settled in for the afternoon. Good spot for groups and a lively outdoor hang.
Great atmosphere, cool decor, trendy vibe. I have no children myself, but I could see how the kid's area would be a huge plus for parents. Personally, I found it to be obnoxious, especially with kids running all over the bocce ball court, despite signs stating, "no children, bocce ball court for adults only." I wasn't overly impressed with the cocktails or the food, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. I assume they just have a few kinks to work out and hopefully things will improve. I would definitely come back.
Not a good spot for vegans but could be with a small menu tweak. Why not offer sourdough bread as an option for your veggie burger? Keep a loaf in the freezer and pull it out if/when needed. So glad they have an option with the french fries besides the duck fat. The fries were delicious! Salads were great! Drinks very good and a terrific list of available beers. Service was exceptional and waitress was accommodating and helpful with our limited vegan options.
Brewster's has a great outdoor seating area and heat lamps perfect for winter during quarantine, although it can get VERY busy. Our brunch burger was FANTASTIC, but the fries (very small portion) and poutine (hardly any gravy/cheese) left something to be desired. We had one of the coctails and although it was delicious, 14 dollars for only a couple sips is too much. The staff was alright, but one of the managers was very rude to us. This place is great for big or small groups, just make sure to make a reservation or, better yet, go when it isn't so busy so the staff might be in a better mood. Bit pricey overall but the atmosphere is great and LOOK AT THOSE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!
Atmosphere was nice in the courtyard. Some kids running around though. Menu was limited. I had the brisket. It looked like a big portion, but there was a huge piece on the bottom that was all fat. The other side of the plate was heaped with pickles 😩, and it included a roll. I asked butter, it didn't come until after the meal. So I paid $25 for two thin slices of brisket and a roll.
Family of 6 went for an early dinner, one kid was just hanging out before work and didn’t eat or drink. Service was slow, took 4 requests to turn a heater on and only after our 10 year old was trying to light it, they came over. Food was OK, nothing special as it was our first time as a family dinner date and we will NOT be going back, Gratitude was included at 20% since we took up 6 spots with only 5 meals. 4% Petaluma wage was added With a $170 food bill the tag was $230 $50 is what they added as tip/ tax and fees Parking is atrocious, took 25 minutes to find a spot.
Very cool spot but first time ive ever had trouble swallowing brisket. As a texan, i vote to remove our name from the menu. Kinda pricey for it to not come with a side as well
My friends and I decided to try the world famous Brewster's Big Bad Holiday Bash this evening. We were sat by the fire and were greeted by the warm kiss of the flames. The scenery inside the restaurant is amazing and you can tell they have the holiday spirit deep inside them. Then we ordered. The food unfortunately did not match the jolly vibes. My burger was covered in mayo as if the cook hated me. I've never met the cook by the way. It was simply covered in mayo to the point where the bun fell apart upon initial pick up. I'm bummed because it's the holiday's. How could I be mad. So I decided to write my feelings down. Happy Holidays 🎅🏻
The atmosphere seemed nice at first, but the overall experience was disappointing. Because it’s an outdoor restaurant, insects were a noticeable problem during the meal, which made it hard to enjoy the food or conversation. And it is worth mentioning it’s not exactly in the cleanest area either. The food itself was average — nothing that really stood out. For how expensive everything was, the quality and portions just didn’t feel worth the price. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely not something I’d rush back for. Overall, it looked promising, but the combination of high prices and constant bugs made it a letdown.
The food is atrociously dry. The Chorizo Dip is pure grease with barely any chorizo. The service is very slow and rude. We tried about 3 holiday drinks and they were all disgusting. OH! And it’s so expensive for what you get. The decor is very nice during the holidays… but other than that, everything is mediocre.
The drinks and atmosphere are the only good things that this place offers. I’ve ordered quite a few things off the menu and everything I’ve had has either been dry, cold or just simply not good. I just tried their new “spicy” chicken sandwich & the breading completely fell off the chicken because it was soggy. The “spicy” sauce tastes like a mix of franks hot sauce and barbecue. The fries that come with it were cold as well. It’s a bummer they don’t upgrade the food quality here because it’s a great space & great atmosphere, but the food literally always misses.
This place is absolutely garbage and give a 0 or negative5 if was allowed . The food was nasty, had no flavor at all, order a burger and all I could taste was the rotten brown shredded lettuce. My fries were over cooked leaving them as hard as hard pretzel. Very over price for the little bit of slop i was served. My wife got sick after we left and in bed for the rest of that day as well as the next has thrown up about 5 times. The atmosphere makes u feel like u r in an alley like a rat waiting for scraps. The table clothes we're disgustingly dirty from other customers b4 me. Flies everywhere, I think they ate more of my food than I did. It was a constant swatting battle.. Will never eat at or recomend that dumpster again. Wont even get started on the flea bags non service dogs that were allowed in there. Only 1 I could possible recommend is the health board. How the is this cesspool is even open and operating.
had dinner tonight. party of four. food was amazing! fresh and hot! the christmas lights and music and santa were so cute! ONLY complaint is getting refills on two of our iced teas?! 😫 $20????!!!! WTH?! i was so confused. i asked for refills of our iced teas and they were quick to refill but didn’t care to tell me they don’t have refills of TEA? i was so distraught and too embarrassed to ask for a refund. like cmon… at least tell me instead of charging me $20 for iced tea? 😢 kinda ruined the fun we were having
First time there and found the experience disappointing. Our google maps app took us to Petaluma Blvd where the entrance was identified with a small sign directing you down a narrow driveway that I only noticed when we were walking back to the restaurant after parking several blocks away. We were meeting our daughter and son-in-law for lunch to return our grandchildren after babysitting for the weekend. Had to wait over 30 minutes in the car while my daughter waited in line outside in the rain to see if we could get a table. Once inside, we were seated at a table where there was not enough room for us to sit together due to a space heater being wedged between two tables. Once the party at the adjacent table left, I moved the space heater so I could sit closer to my family. Menu was disappointing in that it did not indicate any sides come with an entry. All sides are more of a family style portion, so you just eat what everyone else wants or order more food than you want or need. Ordered Ice Tea and it came with simple syrup as it's sweetener. I asked for a sugar substitute and a wait person brought me back one packet of a stevia. Said that was all they had. Ordered the Brisket and it came with some pickles, a roll and a small portion of BBQ sauce. No butter. There were no other condiments on the table. Quality of the food was just OK. Pricy for what it is. $25 for two slices of brisket, some pickles and a small roll. From my perspective, I would not go back. Who wants to have to walk several blocks to stand in the rain to see if you can get a table and eat in a tent on a picket table that was uneven. Felt like we were at a glorified Off-The-Grid food truck event. We were a party of 6, 4 adults and two children 4 and 1-1/2.
