The food wasn’t the star of the show, it was good but the service was too tier. Lydia the bartender was absolutely friendly and amazing. She made drinks that weren’t only fresh, but tasted amazing. They use top shelf ingredients (they make their own simple syrup) but the drinks may be some of the best I have had in the area — if not the best. Jason was the bar back and also helped with serving food and bussing. He had a smile on his face the entire time and hustled the entire time. Anything I asked for he was happy to help. Then there was Dennis who I think was basically the server and boy did he do it well. He made sure we all had food and when the food was done made sure the table was clear asap. All the while making sure everyone had what they needed. All three are an asset to the business and worked very hard the entire three hours we were there. I should have grabbed the photo all three took that summarized the way they worked and worked together. Three people that do an awesome job and do it well together. If you ever have a private party I would ask for these three. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend.

The calamari appetizer was delicious and incredibly fresh, served in a unique way I hadn’t seen before. The chicken parmesan was tasty and perfectly portioned. Our whole family enjoyed the meals they were served. I’m only sad it took us this long to try the restaurant— we’ll definitely be making it one of our go-to spots in the future!

This place does not take reservations, but the 1 hour wait on a Monday night was worth it! Old school Italian restaurant with great food and seasonal specialties. Wait staff was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive while not overbearing-just right. They have a great wine list and signature cocktails. Highlights for us included the Bolognese and the fall harvest salad. Prices are on the high end, but still reasonable. The main dining room can get loud. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Best Italian in SLO! SLO has a plethora of great authentic Italian restaurants, and having frequented almost all of them, I always say Giuseppe’s is my favorite. The carbonara and flatliner combination is to die for. The wait is always super long since they don’t take reservations, but the wait is well worth it.

Julia, was absolutely amazing. Incredibly attentitive, noting when I needed more of something without being overbearing. Next time I visit hope she's still there and will request her section. She made a recommendation for the capesante e gambleri and it did not disappoint. The scallops and prawns were cooked to perfection. I also had the seasonal salad and the beets melted in my mouth. The whole salad was a symphony of flavor.

We went on a busy Monday evening for our 8th year anniversary and it was good. We made a reservation in person. It was an hour 15min wait but we were at the beach while we were waiting so everything ended up great.

Delicious! Wait staff on 🔥 fire! Evan and Luka were fabulous. Highly recommend the squash blossoms. Heavenly. Also had the pasta tagliatelle bolognese and a garlic/ clam pizza Both amazing Hubby loved the Spumoni dessert! The garlic sauce with the bread is sooo garlic utterly fabulous…. We miss Gino the accordion player. But Joe your staff is top notch

Small piece of Italy in the middle of Pismo Beach. Great European atmosphere here in California. You can choose from many appetizers, they will also offer you half portions for the kid meals and full bar for adults.

Traditionally Italian food. Tried their specials. Ravioli with braised filet mignon had good flavors sauces was a nice pink sauce and ravioli cooked well. Brown butter sage raviolis were also very tasty, sauce was unique as had roasted corn which added both a nice flavor and texture. Overall hearty meal. Will plan to try the handmade pizza from the giant pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant on our next visit to Avila Beach

The food was excellent! Would've given 5 stars but when we first arrived we were seated and then the hosted said she had seated too many tables and made us get up from the table to wait. We waited for about another 15 minutes before we were than seated at the same table. If we needed to wait a few to order we would have understood but to be seated then ask to get up felt very strange and there was not even an apology. When we were finally able to order our server was professional and polite. The food and wine were excellent! Being seated at a table in the bar was extremely loud so we weren't able to hear one another which was surprising in a Thursday.

So, I had the Italian sub, citrus beet salad and a small drink. The all of it delicious! The sandwich was smaller than expected. The beet salad was to die for! Ill be making that at home. But the price. Really? Thirty one dollars for a sandwich, side and drinks? Fool me once, shame on you! I might, and that's a might, come back for the sandwich but I'm not dropping $31 on a meal again. Nope.

Business trip here and it was time to check out Giuseppe's Cucina Italiana! We arrived around 5pm on a Friday night, we didn't have reservations and upon being greeted we were immediately able to be seated. The server was friendly and attentive. The food arrived roughly 20 minutes after we ordered, I ordered Nonnas Meatball, the flavors were great, the portion was good. The homemade noodles tasted good. My fiance ordered Raviolis and they were perfect. I did order a drink, it was amazing, I was pleasantly surprised. (See videos below) The ceiling has a cool pulley system for it's fans! Cool to see, atmosphere is great! Check them out!

This is the review of two meals. One meal was meatball spaghetti while the other was butternut squash ravioli. The meatball spaghetti was delicious with the marinara sauce being thick and very flavorful. The bread was so good we had two servings of it. Also, the Diet Pepsi refills flowed freely and timely. The service was great, superb actually. The atmosphere was wonderful with the facility being clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless. The problem was the meal my girlfriend had. She literally had 7 pieces of the sorryest ravioli on Earth. (Look at the included photograph) Also, the sauce was just not good. It was a total disappointment. It was pathetic and each individual ravioli cost $3.00. When we left we went to another restaurant less than 2 hours later and ate again.

This review is for Pismo’s catering, not the restaurant. I’m so very disappointed with Guiseppes. It has been one of my favorite SLO/Pismo restaurants in the 25 years I lived on the central coast. I’ve had great waiters and great food for years and they catered an event very nicely for me two years ago. However, my recent experience with the catering manager was so negative it has soured 25 years of positive eating experiences. I strongly recommend against using their catering services at this point.Not worth it. First, the communication was very challenging this time with setting up the catering (not answering phone), so my daughter went in person and confirmed everything and the exact time to pick up prior to our event. My friend sat there waiting 45 minutes for the late order, which they blamed on one of our pasta trays being gluten free (they knew this in advance) (as an aide the rolls were rock hard - we threw them out because guests barely touched them). It was so embarrassing and stressful to have our guests waiting a full 45 minutes for their dinner, even though the eventual food was good it was not worth the stress it caused me and it took threw off the timing of our reception completely. I fully expected the manager to volunteer some sort of compensation for ruining my daughter’s bat mitzvah reception for me but they did not offer it unprompted. After I reached out, they simply offered a credit for future catering services (useless to me since I’ve moved and wouldn’t trust them to cater in the future at this point) . I had to go back and forth multiple times and finally I asked the manager outright for a partial refund. He agreed to it and calls to give what at first seemed like a very nice sincere apology, but it turned out it was not an apology at all- as he decided to follow his “Im sincerely sorry- we screwed up and there’s no excuse… yada yada” by lashing out at me… a request that we do not come back to the business again. 25 years of happy memories, thousands of dollars of business there and this management team sees fit to punish the customer for requesting they make up for THEIR mistake (which they admitted was their mistake). There was absolutely no need to end on this sour note. I had been polite. It was vengeful and petty and I’m very sad about it. Very unprofessional.
