BRUNCH NOTES Mother's day brunch was a treat. $40/person (once you include tax/tip should be roughly $50), $12/child (6-11), free (1-5). Need a reservation. At 8:00 am the place was buzzing with activity. Servers were friendly and came at regular intervals. Available stations: Customizable omelette, waffle, biscuit, salad, chip bar, meat carving, lunch main items. DRINKS Each mother's day brunch buffet meal comes with 3 cocktail drinks Mimosa - kinda tasted like canned cheap orange juice with strong champagne 1/10, Daisy - Pineapple cocktail was the most refresh 9/10, Cranberry Cocktail - refreshing 7/10 FOOD Beef sirloin - 10/10 (cooked perfect medium rare, delicious, tender, seasoned to perfection) Guacamole - 10/10, don't pass this up if your a guac fan Cheese enchiladas - 9/10 delicious wish it had some meat in it Mashed potatoes - 9/10, I recommend to mix with the gravey in the biscuit station Assorted grilled vegetables - 9/10, wish it had a bit more seasoning Mexican Rice - 5/10 Beans - 4/10, could use more seasoning Casserole - 5/10 Season Salmon with butter on the side was dry 3/10. DESSERTS: Flan - 10/10 Brown Flan - 9/10 (It had Chocolate/Coffee flavors with brown sugar) Cheesecake - 6/10 (love the fresh blueberries. I was hoping for a more newyork thick cheese cake, ended up being more liquidy with a stronger cheese flavor not my personal preference. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants but I haven't been here in quite a while... Not going to let that happen again! ... Especially with this new taco that I found ...Oh my gosh it was so good ...It's brisket something... can't remember the name but it has little onion rings in it and some kind of sauce... Oh it was to die for... next time I go I'm going to just get a plate of them 😊

I HIGHLY recommend Blue Mesa Grill for catering! So many people told me during the wedding and after that the food was incredible! The food was exactly like it was during the tasting and plenty for everyone to fill up! They also provided amazing service with the food. They provided real plates, silver wear, cloth napkins, and we added on cake cutting services. The price was so affordable for everything they provided and gratuity was already included. The catering woman, Karen, was so sweet and charming. One thing that her and her team did that was so above and beyond for us, was fold the napkins into hearts! Karen told us during the tasting that they normally fold the napkins in 3s, a knot, or any reasonable style. I saw a video of folding a napkin in a heart and asked if it was possible for them to do this. At first she said no because it was difficult to do and possibly hard to transport, which was understandable. We got to the wedding and I guess they had been practicing making the napkins into hearts because that's how they were! I was so excited! It was such a beautiful detail! Absolutely loved that we went with them!

Marvin our server was amazing in every way possible my wife Brittany and I made a reservation a few days ahead got there early and was seated right away our server Marvin was very prompt and delivered excellent service throughout the entire experience was very honest and sincere about the menu. Really appreciate it Marvin I hope you get something out of this

I don't understand why it was so empty. The food was amazing. The Blanco queso was the best I've ever had and the sweet potato chips were so good (there are also regular tortilla chips). Food was very reasonably priced. 10/10 from me and the husband.

Milestone Birthday Brunch great service, food and fun reconnecting with beautiful people I haven't seen in years! Although we did not have a private room which would have helped with the loudness due to other patrons, there was enough room for 26 people. Our server did a great job making sure that we were taken care of.. The brisket, salmon, sweet potatoes and Mimosas are on point and they also provide and a to go option in nice packaging! The omelet that was made was ok; to be fair I season my eggs with herb seasoning. The biscuit was dry. The other guests enjoyed all the food. All in all it was a great experience! #birthdaybrunch

The Saturday Brunch was amazing!! So much to choose from and it was ALL delicious. I only hate I couldn’t eat more. I really like the fact that you could personalize your order to add what you wanted to your food. Our server Thomas was excellent and on his game. He was personable and very attentive. Kudos to the Plano location. Will definitely be going back soon. Oh, and the Mimosas!!

This was mine and my significant others first time at Blue Mesa. Our server, Alicia, was very kind and attentive. We weren’t sure yet what to order and she was patient with us and went over some items on the menu. I enjoyed the choice of the 2 different complimentary salsas that they present to us.

I mean I was so impressed with this place. My husband used to work here years ago and had raved about it so many times....then finally decided to take me. They have good food, good drinks, great service. The waitress we had was so lovely and pleasant. We couldn't go wrong with the sampler platter they had as an appetizer. We came in needing our Smoked Chicken Enchiladas! Our server, Alicia, was on top of everything! I'm a Chile Head member, so she made sure we got their fantastic guacamole at no charge. Alicia was cheerful, engaging and took fantastic care of us! If you've not been to Blue Mesa, you've GOT to come by! Their Chicken Tortilla Soup is amazing, as is the Adobe Pie. Oh, and the sweet potato chips with the two different salsas are a wonderful beginning!

Blue mesa for the win on this rainy valentine’s day. i sat in the bar area with rachael and bella and both of them work so well together as a team. they greeted me with a smile asked my name and let me just say they’re both freaking awesome and funny. if you want to feel like home and have great laughs definitely sit with them!!!

Came in today for brunch for first time in years and all I can say is WOW!! I sat at the bar and Rachael was amazing! She walked us through everything on the brunch and answered all questions! matty was one of the best servers i’ve had in forever, he was super nice and attentive to us. the happy hour was great the margaritas were amazing and the tacos were even better. i usually stay away from mexican restaurants like this but im glad i stopped in and had an experience with matty! 10/10 food 100/10 server!

She accommodated my weird requests accurately, unlike most people, who when I want a water and a tea and an empty cup just bring me one thing I ask for. Stopped by Blue Mesa for a Friday lunch and had a solid experience. I went with the Tortilla Soup and the Chicken Avocado Wrap—both were fresh and flavorful. The soup was good, though it lacked any real spice, so if you’re looking for heat, you might need to ask for some extra kick. The wrap was the real winner—plenty of chicken, great texture, and just the right balance of flavors to keep it interesting without being overwhelming. Service was on point for a Friday lunch rush—friendly, efficient, and no long waits. Overall, a great spot for a casual, satisfying meal. Would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

Delicious! Food was really good. Loved the sweet potato chips. Brisket was really good. Loved the taco bar. They make great omlettes. They bring bacon to your table if you ask. Highlights of the meal were the salmon, the cheese grits, the wings, the made-to-order omelets, the chocolate chip cookies, the pineapple mimosas, waffles, and the STAR OF THE SHOW....the BANANA PUDDING! I was not expecting that level of deliciousness. Items I had that were mediocre were...the brisket (unseasoned and greasy), the kale spinach stir fry which was lukewarm. Items I did not enjoy were the ham and the cantaloupe which were tasteless. The bread pudding and cobbler had a strange aftertaste nothing comforting about those comfor foods. I didn't try anything else. Still a great buy although the seating needs updating.

We've never been to a brunch buffet that served Mexican food, so this was a real treat! The highlights were the brisket, waffle station, and mini desserts. Drinks are included in the buffet price. TVs everywhere so watch the big game. Omelette station, soups, Mexican Caesar Salad, and taco station.

We enjoyed dining here. The atmosphere was relaxing and the table service was excellent. The blue corn stacked enchiladas were delicious as was the Churrascaritas dish. I enjoyed a delicious mango chili lime cocktail.

"Incredible experience! Even though they were busy, a friendly bartender by the name of Rachel stepped out from behind the bar to personally welcome and seat me immediately. That level of attentive, proactive service is rare! The drinks were perfectly crafted, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be returning!

First time here. It was a Saturday and we JUST missed what looked to be an AMAZING Brunch Buffet! But….the food we ordered was AMAZING! The sweet potato chips threw me for a loop (at a “Mexican” restaurant? Come on!). But they were delish! And in the white queso?? WOW! Our waiter, Marvin, was a sweetheart! Very attentive. We all enjoyed the experience and WILL be back! Thank you Blue Mesa!! One TINY complaint- my tiny piece of corn cake was cold. <sad face>

Weather finally started getting warm so we decided to come here to enjoy a patio and nice view! Food was great and our waitress Bryce was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful!

Overall food was average. Got the seafood mix grill which had salmon, shrimp and an enchilada with rice and some sort of pineapple salsa and a cornbread-like mound. The salmon was the best, nicely crispy and seasoned. The shrimp was underwhelming but well made. I didn't like the pineapple salsa. The enchilada had chicken inside and wasn't anything special. Had ordered a salad but never received it. Service overall was ok.

This was our first time eating at a Blue Mesa Grill. Atmosphere wasn't what we expected from a place like this, service was the best part, food was OK but the portions were small compared to other restaurants we've been to. Server did mess up on our daughter's order but made it right without asking. Being nice and leaving 4 stars, but 2, maybe 3 is more accurate. Might try again in the future, but not anytime soon.

Went to Blue Mesa for their brunch buffet and had a great overall experience. There was a good variety of items to choose from, and everything was well-prepared. The brisket, sausage, and salmon were especially delicious. Service was excellent — staff was attentive and friendly throughout. The only letdown was the mimosa included with brunch; it was a bit flat and underwhelming. Still, a solid brunch spot that I'd happily visit again.

Visited the boardwalk and this was the first restaurant I passed by so I stopped to dine, the outdoor seating was perfect. Nice view and ambience. Food was good and drink was a drink;)

Went here for lunch a few times. The food is decent but the flavors at times are hit a miss (today was more of a miss situation). The portion sizes for lunch are good. The chips are great though. One thing really good is the service as they are always “Johnny on the spot” with refills of chips, salsas, and drinks. Overall it is nice place to go, but not my first choice.

The food was ok. Some of our party’s meals were good other not so much including mine. To me the flavor profile was just off on my blue crab and shrimp enchilada. Also their frozen margarita machines were both down but by the end they were working again so we at least got one frozen margarita each. The service was terrible and because we were a party of 10 there was an automatic 20% already added which I understand if our server had actually done her job. We were the only party in the restaurant by the bar. But she was also running the bar while another what appeared to be bar tender just sat at the bar and watched. There were also multiple servers that just hung around the hostess stand. It just felt like bc she knew she was getting 20% she didn’t have to try or be attentive with our service. We had to wait for refills, had to flag her down multiple times for different things people in our party needed, and then came the cake. We had brought our own cake for the birthday party which they had put in their fridge which was great. But when we asked for it she just brought it out and a few plates. Most restaurants they take it out of the box for us and bring forks and serving stuff (we do this often for our friend group birthdays). Now it is not a requirement nor did we ask for it so that’s fine but I think we were all so frustrated with her that it was just the icing on the cake no pun intended. And then I had to go track down silverware as she watched me from behind the bar just cleaning stuff (there was no one at the bar) and then had the nerve to walk up after I found the silverware and handed them out to everyone and go “oh I forgot about the forks.” Ma’am you watched me hunt around and find them and take them back to my table bc you were busy cleaning. So needless to say it was just lacking. The restaurant itself was very cute and clean but the vibe was just that they didn’t want us there and they wanted to go home. We were there at 530pm. It’s not like we were keeping them past closing or anything. Overall would not recommend and will not be back.

Really good service by Kira. Food was good - could be better - feel it could use more flavor. They have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday and the last seating is one hour before closing. We didn't know so we missed the buffet. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options and are clearly marked. We ordered painted desert soup (would not recommend), Queso Blanco (recommend), cheese quesadilla (recommend), and pick two with fried avocado taco (would not recommend), and cheese enchiladas (recommend).

I arrived about 4:05pm today. Pretty much empty. I sat at the entrance about 15 min a blue mesa collared shirt employee past through the area twice not once did he or any other employees acknowledge me. I go to the restroom it was filthy. Yet I come back sit on the bench by the door still no help. I drove from West Lewisville for the food that I love only to be disappointed 😞 had I known this would be the experience I would have gone to the Addison location which was phenomenal my last visit in November.

Thursday night around 7 PM and the place wasn’t busy at all—yet the service was terrible. No hostess in sight, and when someone finally appeared, we were seated by the door despite asking for a warm spot. Wobbly table, uncleared tables everywhere. We ordered two Shiners and our meals. Food took forever, chips and salsa showed up halfway through eating, and the salsa was overly chunky. When the beer finally arrived, it was wrong. A server acknowledged the mistake, but the correct beer didn’t arrive until we were almost done eating. Hands down some of the worst service we’ve had, especially for a slow night.
