Our server, Amin, gave us great recommendations and was very attentive. Steak was absolutely perfect, buttery and juicy and cooked just right. Ask for the jalapeño mashed potatoes as a side; you won’t be disappointed. They’re smoky and creamy.

My family was in town and we decided on Bob's because of the great reviews and it did not disappoint at all. Our server was super engaging and funny. The food was incredible too. We ended up staying past closing accidentally and we were treated extremely well still. Dress well, buy a bottle of wine and enjoy the experience.

My flight delay meant I missed a conference dinner at my hotel and arrived in Plano late, tired, and hungry. Thankfully, Bob’s Steakhouse was within walking distance. Even though my rideshare ETA showed only 20 minutes before closing, I decided to go anyway — and I’m so glad I did. The moment I walked in with my bags, a woman immediately greeted me, ensured someone took my luggage, and escorted me to a seat of my choosing. That meaningful act set the tone for the evening. Bartenders Scott and Steve were outstanding — gracious, professional, and patient even at the end of their shift. They made me feel completely unrushed and genuinely welcome. I later learned that the woman who greeted me had worked behind the bar at Bob’s for nearly 18 years and is returning as the incoming general manager, succeeding the beloved longtime GM. It was obvious how connected and proud the entire team is, front and back of house. Previous visits to Bob’s Plano have been exceptional — the service, the food, the hospitality — but this one stood out. My sincere thanks to Scott, Steve, the retiring GM, and the new GM-to-be. Bob’s Plano has earned a customer for life whenever I’m back in the area.

The absolute best service. Staff attentive beyond gracious and the food was the best steak houses I've been too. Servings are big and plenty of food. The lobster bisque i wanted a gallon to take home. Food delicious service above anywhere we have been. For any celebration we will go again

We went here after my fiancée proposed and they had a handwritten card on the table waiting for us and they brought us dessert that said congratulations. Their carrot side dish is to die for. We have made it a tradition to go here every year on our anniversary since. Everyone has always been very welcoming and has lots of suggestions for different things to try. I would, however, highly recommend making a reservation before going.

5 out of 5 stars Took a couple of employees to Bob’s for a celebration dinner and it didn’t disappoint. While they did miss the mark on my steak temperature the first time, they corrected it quickly and nailed it the second time around. Service was spot-on throughout the evening — attentive without being overbearing — and the drinks were excellent. I usually steer clear of chains, but Bob’s is a strong exception. It delivered a high-end experience and was absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommend.

We were celebrating early Mother’s Day dinner. Regent was our server. Been there several times. Best steakhouse in town. Enjoyed every single bite. Service was amazing and server was funny and very helpful. We had Onion ring as an appetizer 8/10, wedges and Caesar salad 9/10, Fillet mignon steak 10/10, comes with Glazed carrot, Mashed potato, Baked Potato. Everything was delicious. Dessert we had Chocolate Cake. Highly recommend this place.

It was super delicious! Don’t judge the pictures, I wasn’t taking it for the cam. It was on Valentine’s Day night; nevertheless, the service, food, and atmosphere were amazing! I could see how busy they were, but they never forgot about us. My friend and I decided to share, so my photo of the pork chop seems small. I would love to come back again with my husband.

My first time at a Bob's but certainly won't be the last. First, the service was great. Our waitress kept the drinks flowing, the table clean, and gave excellent recommendations. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the bone-in ribeye and it was one of the most flavorful steaks Ive ever eaten, not kidding. My only suggestion to Mr Bob or whoever the owner is, GET SOME BIGGER TVs! The 18in computer screens at the bar just don't cut it. I was squinting just to see the score of the games. Other than that, a great place to eat a steak go with confidence.

Awesome. I mean we've been before, great atmosphere, fantastic steak and the brown sugar, cinnamon carrot is pretty good and the appetizers are and still were spot on - that shrimp bacon thing, yum - but all of that is just who y'all are. This last visit was even better. It was a business dinner a few weeks ago. Why was it better? Our server, Range. He was phenomenal and set the bar super high now for everyone else. Absolutely, hands down, loved it. Thank you for making it an even better experience. Range rocks!

I'm here for a romantic birthday dinner for two. Don our waiter was amazing. It is a little bit pricy but worth every penny. AVERAGE $200 and upwards for a party of two, without appetizers and one glass of wine each. You do have to make reservations. Otherwise, you will be waiting for a very long time. The atmosphere is Exquisite and try to ask to be seated in the back rooms where it's quieter.

Lovely ambience and great dining. The entire restaurant is designed with a wood finish giving it a prestigious look. There is a big bar plus separated seating area if you like a calmer atmosphere. You get started with a warm soft bread along with pickle and peppers. Simple but tasty. We got Ribeye and Kansas steak with mushrooms on the side. The steak was mouth watering and delicious. All steak plates come with a flavorful carrot and great potato side. I got garlic mashed potatoes. The portion was huge. The mushrooms were soft, fresh and tasty. We got a crème brûlée whole h was lovely but a tad bit sweet for my liking. The service was exceptional. The attached photos aren’t doing justice though.

This is an interesting place. Phenomenal service. The servers are kind, attentive and friendly. The Alaskan lobster soup was super so was the tuna tartar. All the side dishes were very nice. I ordered a porterhouse steak which I would say above average but not exceptional. It needed to be more smoky or at least needed more of the charcoal taste. It tasted to me like how I’d make it at home over a skillet. Given that the restaurant is a steakhouse, I can’t give them above 4 stars for the food even if everything else was exceptional. Overall good experience mainly because how friendly the servers are (Kent was serving me).

4.7 stars. 1st time to finally check this place out. Been fortunate to have eaten at many nice steakhouses so I was curious to see how Bob’s compares. Small business dinner for our party of six. No appetizers but a good bit of drinks with the focus being the steaks. Ordered mine black and blue which was executed just right. Slight ding on the carrot as it was a tad mushy. The scalloped potatoes were seasoned well and very enjoyable. Nearly forgot to mention that the beefsteak tomatoes and onion salad with Bleu Cheese crumbles was absolutely wonderful! Service was superb. Dining environment was cozy. Definitely will be bringing my wife here for our next special date night.

Our experience left much to be desired. We made reservations 6 weeks ago, and despite checking in 5 minutes before our scheduled time, we were seated over 20 minutes after our reserved time. We felt very rushed to order drinks, but they took 10-15 minutes to receive them. We ordered off the menu and didn’t know there were specials until we asked what the table behind us had ordered. Their server went through the specials with us, and we definitely would’ve ordered those instead. Entrees took just over an hour to be brought out, and we didn’t see our server again until we flagged them down for more cocktails. I was still actively eating and was asked by three separate people, literally mid bite, if they could box my food up. I was inhaling my food trying to finish it before a 4th employee tried to take it. We wanted dessert but were brought the checks without dessert or a menu being offered. All in all, pretty mundane service and average tasting food for a $600 date night. The two other couples we were with spent just over that. We won’t be back. Del Frisco’s was less expensive, service is more attentive, and food was higher quality.

I never thought I would be writing a bad review for Bob’s Steak & Chop House, but unfortunately tonight was a very disappointing experience. We started the evening at the bar enjoying cocktails, but the service quickly took a turn. One male bartender was rude and made several snarky, condescending comments. I really wish I had gotten his name. The female bartenders were kind, but after our subpar calamari was served, no one checked back on us. We fully intended to order $90 steaks along with sides, but no one ever followed up to take our order or see if we needed anything else. After waiting far too long and feeling completely overlooked, we decided to leave. Bob’s has always been known for great food and excellent service. We have been long time patrons of the Dallas location and will not make the mistake of visiting the Plano location again.

We have been coming here for decades. This last time January 2026 was not the birthday experience. I do not believe that the cuts served to us were prime grade meat. And my steak was rare instead of medium as ordered. I noticed the oddity at dinner, but thought maybe it was the type of steak I ordered. The waitress even noticed that I hadn't finished my steak, but I explained that I was going to nuke it for breakfast the next day. The next day after cooking the steak further I noticed even more that the steak was nota prime cut. My husband mentioned that morning that he didn't think his cut of meat was prime either. I attempted to email the restaurant about this and nobody ever responded. Thus, I had to post on Google. Perry's will now be getting our business. I have 2 stars for the great waitress.

Took my girlfriend here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. The food was great. However, the table next to us had 4 men that were drinking excessively (2 were sloppy drunk) and the waiter joined in on some awfully sexual conversation about women and "once you go black, you never go back" was said at a volume that other tables heard as well. I was surprised the staff let it go on for so long. It made my girlfriend uncomfortable. We got our food to-go and skipped dessert. I used to love this place but I'm not going to spend $300 on dinner here if waiters don't care about the other tables around them.
