My recent visit to Grimaldi's in Plano was an absolute delight, and it truly reinforced why this place is a local favorite for authentic New York-style pizza. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of their coal-fired ovens set the stage for a fantastic meal. The star of the show, as always, was the pizza. Each bite was a testament to the skill in the kitchen, and it's clear Alejandro is a master of his craft. The crust was perfectly crisp with that signature smokey char, and the toppings were incredibly fresh and flavorful. You can taste the dedication to quality in every slice – truly a work of art! My experience was made even better by the fantastic service, especially from Brittany the bartender. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the drink menu, offering excellent recommendations, and her friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. She was efficient, attentive, and just genuinely pleasant to interact with, ensuring the drinks were always perfectly crafted and served with a smile. Grimaldi's in Plano consistently delivers on taste, atmosphere, and service. With talented individuals like Alejandro creating culinary masterpieces and Brittany keeping spirits high behind the bar, it's an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving an authentic and delicious pizza experience!

There’s something about Grimaldi’s that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the kind of East Coast pizzeria where folding your slice is a sign of respect and flavor. We came in for the Slices ASAP lunch special and left full, happy, and humming Sinatra. The “giant” slice wasn’t as giant as I imagined, but it was surprisingly filling, thin, coal-fired, and kissed with just the right amount of char on the crust. I went classic with pepperoni and added roasted red peppers. The oil was real (as it should be), but fold your slice and let it drip, it's all part of the experience. The Caesar salad was fresh, chilled, and dressed in just the right amount of creamy, tangy dressing. The parmesan shavings were generous, and I appreciated that they didn’t over-saturate the greens. The vibe? Spotless dining area, red-checkered tablecloths, good music, and fantastic service. Our server was quick, kind, and attentive without hovering. The whole place reminded me of my years in Staten Island, surrounded by true Italian charm, where even mobsters knew a good slice when they tasted one. Dessert sealed the deal. We tried the trio sampler, New York cheesecake, tiramisu, and a cannoli. Each one held its own, but the tiramisu stole the spotlight. If you're a tiramisu lover like me, skip the sampler and go all in. You’ll only be disappointed by how small the trio portion is. We also had the Oreo cheesecake, and it hit the sweet tooth just right, creamy, rich, and playful without being too heavy. Grimaldi’s is exactly what it claims to be: a little slice of old-school New York tucked into Frisco, Texas. It's not trying too hard, it just knows who it is. This place seriously has the best crust I’ve ever had on a pizza. The toppings were fresh and flavorful with plenty of options available. The locale is decently decorated with plenty of alcohol available if you desire spirits. The service was also copacetic with everyone being friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend Grimaldi’s 👍

Casey was the best server we have ever had anywhere! She made our meal experience perfect & the food is beyond delicious! Worth every penny! I'd recommend anyone to come here & have a great time! Really awesome authentic pizza place! 11/10♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came for New Year's eve lunch. It was not busy at all. The kids had never been to one or at least don't remember so it was nice to try a pizza and calzone with them. We got a traditional with bacon and a calzone with way more toppings. It was a lot of food and we didn't finish but everyone ate more than enough and we were able to go in and out fairly quickly.

Grimaldi's has been my family's go-to for consistent, tasty pizza for over a decade now (mostly at the uptown location). We were thrilled when they opened up at The Shops at Legacy. We regularly do both take-out or dine-in since it's closer to home, and they've never disappointed.

Food was good. I think service quality could have been improved. For a group of 15+ people, it was very hard to have it managed with one server. It takes a little longer to get the food. However the quality of food was great.

Good food, terrible service. We had a large party and saw our waitress maybe 3 times from entering to finishing our meal. We had to flag down another waitress in order to get our beverages refilled. There was definitely no shortage of staff either, because there were plenty hanging out at the hostess stand. It's not their fault though, we weren't their table. The only saving grace was that they didn't automatically add gratuity to our bill because of our party size. P.S. The lemon arugula salad is great!

Ordered takeout, and quite disappointed. 20$ 4 cheese pizza, and the burnt crust overpowered the taste. The parts of the pizza that wasn’t burnt tasted good I would say. But it should be illegal to sell pizza this burnt. The desserts are good.

es. I show up and it's raining outside with nowhere to park and I run inside and ask where the order is. She takes my payment first and then looks for my order and doesn't see it and doesn't even tell me what's going on. I ask about where my pizza is she says let me go. Check comes back and says it'll be ready in a few minutes. I had to go re-park because I was illegally parked with no parking available so I came back in after five minutes and she said let me check on it again. After some back-and-forth, I figured out that my pizza was somehow gone and they had to remake it. They said it would be another 10 minutes. So they hurriedly made my pizza. I sat there for another 15 minutes. What's the point of takeout if you can't get the order right? The most frustrating part was they didn't even offer anything for the inconvenience of sitting there for 25 to 30 minutes waiting for my takeout order. Honest mistakes can be made but nobody fessed up or offered anything for recompense. No wonder they only have a 3.1 rating

​I was extremely disappointed with the value and service during my recent visit. I ordered a salad, only to find that the provided dressing container was barely one-third full. When I requested a sufficient amount of dressing to actually finish the meal, I was informed of an additional surcharge. ​Charging extra for a standard amount of dressing is unreasonable, especially when the initial portion is inadequate for the size of the salad. Furthermore, I was not provided with any silverware. It is a fundamental service failure to sell a meal without the necessary utensils or enough dressing to make the dish edible. ​Unless you enjoy eating plain lettuce with your hands, I would recommend dining elsewhere. This location significantly lacks the attention to detail and customer-first mindset found at other branches.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First, the waiter dropped the pizza riser while trying to place it on our table, and it fell right onto one of my friends. To make matters worse, my pizza arrived significantly later than everyone else's. When I asked why, the waiter admitted that my pizza had been dropped on the floor while it was being prepared. Because they had to restart the order, I had to wait a very long time while the rest of my group finished their meals. Overall, the service was clumsy and the timing was poorly managed. I expected much better.

The food was delicious, but the waiter had to repeat the order to avoid making mistakes with the pizzas. Of the three pizzas that were ordered, only one was correct. Even though the order was corrected, we had to wait longer for them. This left a bad experience. The owner of the establishment needs to watch what the employees are doing.

Pinnacle Investments

Let’s just say this is the cleanest of places. No gloves. No hairnets. Staff look like they don’t own a washing machine. Stopped in for a slice at 2:45. Was told they already stopped serving slices. Got a personal size instead. They burnt the pizza 3 times and by the time I got my order it was completely wrong. Save your money. Bad experience for a third time here so I will not be going back
