A good burger joint that will quickly clog your arteries. Onion strings are really good. Booth seating has minimal room to sit comfortably because the tables are literally 1-2 inches from you and we're not fat, so avoid the booths.

Came here on a Friday night. The menu is on the wall and it’s walk up and order at the register and they will bring it to your table when it’s ready. We Ordered 2 sandwiches. One with a bun and one as a lettuce wrap. The items were delivered to the table both with buns. I let the server know that one was to be a lettuce wrap. She took it back to the kitchen and brought it back out a minute later with the bun gone and the lettuce on top. Unfortunately it took most of the cheese with it. The napkins were empty so we had to borrow from our table neighbors. The ketchup was also empty and we borrowed that as well. We also got pies and those were really good. The food itself is really good but the service is hit or miss. The atmosphere is always great. This place is at the boardwalk so it’s a lot of fun walking around and enjoying the evening. If you like burgers you could give this place a try but temper your expectations for everything else.

Great restaurant with a lot of great options to eat. Definitely a place where you come with your kiddos and pets. The burger was tasty 8/10. The stuffed jalapenos were a 9/10. The fried pickles 10/10. The chocolate milkshake was way too sweet and I’m used to eating sweets so it was a 5/10. The chocolate cake was a solid 8/10 and my wife said her salad was a 9/10. Overall a good place to visit on a beautiful sunny day.

They have great burgers, hands down! The fried pickles could have been a little bit more fried but other than that the food was great. The fries have to be ordered separately so don't expect fries with your burger. The kid's meals do come with fries though so your child is covered. If you've never been here before just know all extra toppings cost extra. I ordered jalapenos, cheese, and caramelized onions on my burger. Also got some green beer since it was St. Patrick's Day!

Decent casual burger joint at the Boardwalk at Granite Park. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Portion sizes are good. Fountain drinks are self-serve. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, including a large bar top.

The Boardwalk is a cool little outdoor area, particularly when the weather is nice. I like how Chip's has a patio area for when the temperature is actually mild (which is rare in Texas). We arrived at Chip's around 11:30 AM on a Sunday and were third in line. Great timing, as by 12 PM, the line went out the door! The man taking our orders at the register was very friendly and welcoming. The burger itself was just alright—it just lacked that extra oomph factor that some other nearby burger restaurants have.

First visit to a Chip's and this was what I wanted / expected! The ambiance was great, and they did a great job getting the food out hot and fresh despite the lunch rush. Overall the burger was a good, old fashioned hamburger that was loaded with toppings. I'd recommend the 1/2 lb burger patty since the toppings seemed the dwarf the 1/3 lb one! The large tots is enough to last for days or feed four. Chicken tenders were amazing though, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were great as well!

Hard to really enjoy this location. The food is delicious we really love the burgers as well as the fish and chips. Service has gone downhill. We used to be able to order food from the bar and now we were told by a bartender that it’s separate. Which is mildly inconvenient but definitely a reason we initially loved going. Being able to grab a drink and food in the patio area on a nice day was great! Sad you aren’t able to do so anymore.

I was watching a movie and got hungry. I came across Broadwalk and found Chip’s Old Fashioned. The place is wonderful. Outdoor seating, bar and what not. The staff is wonderful-top notch. I read a review that their fish and chips is good. However, I did not find it that great. The fish was too over cooked and had no flavor. I could just taste the coating which was very crisp. Overall I loved the place. Had the food been good, they would have gotten a solid 5. I would recommend this place not the fish and chips.

The only problem we had was the meat used for the burgers was not that good. They need to use better quality beef for their burgers and then the place would be great. But using cheap hamburger at a hamburger joint is a bad idea. The staff was great, the patio area was nice, the onion straws (Stranger Straws) were great (although not worth the extra cost over just the plain onion straws). Overall, I do NOT recommend.

We have been to the other location and enjoyed it very much so thought we'd have the same experience. NOT! The server was not very friendly/attentive. When he first brought over the mushrooms, he sort of tossed them on the table. Between serving orders, they immediately pull out their phones, which is a bit unsanitary because hands are not being washed thereafter. Once they serve you, good luck getting their attention for anything further. We needed to go boxes and my husband had to get up to ask for them because we couldn't get anyone's attention. The portion sizes are vastly different...smaller at this location and my burger was not as tasty. I won't return to this location but definitely recommend the other one in Dallas.

Came in at 915p and was very put off by “we’re closing in less that an hour so your food will be served in to-go containers”. Fries were cold, onion rings were greasy and tasted of fryer oil. And all items being served to-go meant everything was soggy and less than stellar. If a customer can’t order, get their food and eat in 45 mins in a fast casual establishment there is there is something wrong with your model. Additionally, the disapproving states from the cashier while I tried to enjoy my food with 25 mins left before close was quite off putting. If you’re going to start closing down and cleaning up at 930 perhaps consider closing at 930, don’t advertise you’re open until 10. Won’t be back.

second time here. Ordered a turkey burger, loaded fries and the chicken fried steak sandwich. Not upset with the kids working, they didnt know how to punch in the what I wanted because they're new. Where's the manager? Turkey burger is horrible. The fries were okay at best, the only thing good was the fried steak sandwich. I ordered shoestring onions what I thought should've been added to the turkey burger. However we got double charged for a full plate of them. Was once a good place. Not recommend now. The prices are ridiculous. I would've been better at a fast food joint. Sad day in America. Nothing is good anymore. 50 bucks for two sandwiches and fries. What a shame.
