Fun little hole in the wall! I've been going here for the past 3 years. Great bar staff and great karaoke with Belch. I love that they offer it 5 days a week so you have a choice to decide when you want to go sing.

Definitely our home bar. My wife & I drive a good 30 minutes a few times a week for the beat Karaoke around. Calvin is an outstanding, personable owner & the bar staff are always polite & greet you with a smile. Drinks are fairly priced so absolutely come try it. -CB

Awesome spot to karaeoke and play some pool. Pretty basic selection as far as beer and liquor is concerned. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fun to interact with. I really enjoyed having Veronica as my bartender. Visit her sometime! If you're a craft beer enthusiast they have about 2 on tap if I recall correctly. (Revolver Blood & Honey and Community Mosaic). Every time I end up at the lantern I have a great time and meet nice people. That's what it's all about!

Fantastic customer service. Treats guests extremely well. Candace and Bri (two of the bartenders) are amazing and friendly and make the place feel like home. Even when the place is packed on Friday and Saturday night, they take care of the guests well. The owner is fantastic and makes a point to remember names. Karaoke is another great aspect of this place. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a bar that makes you feel like you’re at home.

Lovely local bar. Nice drinks. Good prices. Good chat. Decent food (or just walk to Whataburger). Lots of TV's, a couple pool tables & video games and occasional karaoke nights. If you want a good, affordable local bar, there's nothing wrong with this place.

I’m a night owl, and this “dive bar” is my favorite one of all. I really love everything at this intersection at Coit & Spring Creek in Plano, but… Lantern’s is my fav. They are always open until 2am. Even when no place else is. That kind of consistency gets my heart for sure! I have walked in when only one patron sat sipping a beer, but the bartender (always just one) greets you with a warm smile and never seems to be in any kind of hurry to close up early. When it’s busier, the same welcoming feeling exudes from an eclectic, charming group of people one wouldn’t imagine to see together in one place. But, they all have one thing in common—a love for karaoke—and at Lantern’s, they get to love it five nights a week, Wed through Sun. Belch, is the best karaoke jockey/master I’ve met. He has the appropriate equipment for the space and he is equally charming and funny like the rest of the regulars. They all know each other by first name—and, by their karaoke aliases, too. No one takes themselves too seriously because it’s about having a good time and trying some new tunes. I watch them enjoy cheering each other on and it’s hard not to get caught up in their desire to encourage the performer and dance or sing along—even when we bomb. So, if you’re new to the area, or you’re new to karaoke (outside of your car), and you’re looking for a place to give it a try, then Lantern’s is the best place to get behind a mic for the first time with new people They will soon become familiar faces that you’ll have a hard time not coming back to.

New owner is slowly figuring out how things work in the bar business. Foods pretty good, drinks are excellent and the new happy hour is helpful. Just needs more business and maybe a layout change so people know it's there.

Normally really great service. Bartenders seem to change often so one or two haven't been great. Good place to go relax after work because it's not far from home.

Got the fried cheese and the chicken coop salad. Also had the dunken monkey punch. The food was ok, but the drink was really good. Would recommend for the drinks and the fried cheese. & they are open until 2 am most nig

Always enjoy this place - bathroom can smell at times, but so do I at times... Come here for football and Ravens games. - It's a blast. Karaoke is also fun with a mix of all types. Their food is pretty good too and always have great drink specials. I would recommend Lantern to anyone wanting a laid back / dive bar exp with chill people. Cheers!

Love: Karaoke w/Belch (Thurs-Sun)* Like: Darts, Billiards, Golden Tee, Drink Specials Like Less: No late night menu (but don't mind your "self cater" on the patio) What can I say about this place that most don't already know... Its your basic, local, run-of-the-mill, end of the shopping plaza pub. Staff is generally friendly... Happy Hour specials are fair to Midland, and they're friendly to the pour. Not a gastronomic destination for you foodies, (no late night munchies but whataburger is within stumble distance) but if you're looking for your "Cheers"... they'll have your usual suspects! *at time of this review

Cold beer and sports on tv who could ask for more. However this place may not be for everyone. The food is hit or miss depending on who is in the kitchen. Unfortunately the bathrooms are a bit of a struggle since they share a sewage line with the rest of the strip mall so there is an odor that can peel paint. Other than that its an all around good hang out.

visiting for the first time while in town. ravens fans advertised that they would be here for the game. only 2 bartenders and the place is packed. food is good but not all of it was delivered. very unorganized, hoping only because of the amount of people here. unless u line up at the end of the bar the female bartender wont acknowledge you. not such a great experience for our first time here. in addition, we came to watch the Ravens game because they host a roost here. unfortunately we were told that the area they were gathering in was private so we had to sit in the front of the building. kind of disappointed. will address with the roost themselves as well

If you have ever heated up a hamburger patty in a microwave you know the exact taste. I guess because maybe I went to lunch there around 2:00 so they did not have anything ready to go. Bartender was super nice and everything else was great except for that microwave Burger.

Nice little karaoke spot, but the food wasn't all that great and the well rum was awful - tasted like it had skunked. It was bad enough that on a Friday night, there was only one waitress to handle upwards of 50 people. Good for her for her tips, but bad for customer service.

Friendly neighborhood bar with food, that judging by the hamburgers their food is terrible. If the rest of the menu is just as bad I think they need to either forget feeding folks or the better action would be to cook a good burger. They say on the menu which is the size of a large postcard fresh ground beef. The patty was frozen and formed, freezer burned, bearly cooked enough, bun was not toasted, kinda old, the veggies were dumpster quality. For the $9 price tag this is just sad. A $1 burger from anywhere would have been better. The beer was decent and the waitress was beautiful, ride the lightening.

The service was good since the bartender that served us was very attentive and polite. However, they cannot make a cocktail drink at all and was horrible. The food was hot and edible. Also the barback kept stalking me whenever I smoked a cigarette outside the place. Weird. Overall, it has a very diverse crowd there, staff was nice, food was okay, but the bartender needs more training on mixing drinks. Edit: They also seriously need more staff members like a cocktail waiter/waitress.

Came in on Sunday 6, who ever the bartender is manager team better be more careful, bartender is drunk, she gave me a glass with lipstick on it and acted like it was fine, didn’t even apologize, just came over and ask me If I wanted a shot?? As a certified service dog owner, with the patches on. I was asked what tasks does the service animal perform for my disability. This was my answer 1. Ptsd- helps apply pressure before panic attacks 2. Retrieving dropped items for people with mobility impairments. 3. Reminds me to take medication as i have and diagnosed with 3 mental illnesess on top of ptsd. 4. Simply calm people with ptsd I was told to leave by owner Calvin after answering these questions. Also offered to show his registration card (even though by law according to the ada i dont have to present it) Will be filing charges against this awful establishment. Go ahead and read the law that our awesome governer Mr. Abbot put into force according to the ADA (american disabilities act) Oh and not to mention during memorial weekend. Awful. Wouldnt reccomend anyone to go here.

The female bartender on night on 3/1 needs to check her snotty personality at the door. A bar full of people and the guy bartender is just standing around doing nothing. The owner is at the end of the bar more concerned about drinking then managing the bar. It wouldn't hurt him to get up and help once.

Had fun every time we went except for this last time. We had a Groupon and the manager refused to honor it because he wanted it to only be for entrees. He agreed that it never said entrees on the Groupon but still refused. Told us he was a new owner and wanted to build his business but obviously wasn't willing to keep 4 customers by honoring it after we said it would be good business for him. Terrible new ownership. There's a reason this place has had 3 owners in the last 2 years.

Server was sitting at the bar area when we entered the restaurant. She said we can sit any where. Got us water. We asked her about beer and she said she will check and come back. We waited an hour. Never showed up. Tried to get a beer from the bar since we felt leaving without getting anything all be rude after an hour. Lady at the bar acted busy. We left the bar. Then we saw out server sitting on a bar stool playing with her phone. Worse costumer service ever!

We spent over $200 on a tab for a group of friends and I have never been so upset about an establishment... Find a different dirty, smelly bar with awful food... II Brothers in Plano has karaoke. Also, The Revel in Frisco. None of my friends nor I will ever be back after that!

I just got accosted at this bar a few minutes ago. Not by the police or security guard or nothing like that. I got confronted by a bartender which has no positive manners in which to treat her clients. As I arrive at the establishment, I see the owner, I greet the owner of the joint, as he's a fútbol fan like myself... While I'm greeting the owner I ask the bartender, "can I have a Corona"... She looks at me funny, and tells me can you say "please", Ok, fine "can I have a Corona please"... I get the Corona, & go sit near where the Lakers & Spurs screen is playing. I drink my Corona, I'm sitting at the bar, mind you... I finish my Corona, she walks by me at least 8 times, the bar is not full, there's at least 3 seats between me & the next customer... Clearly she can see my beer is gone. 20 minutes later after finishing my Corona, I ask for my tab. When she comes back with my tab, she starts hissin' "hey dude, dude! dude, hey dude! (I was looking at another screen showing highlights of other prior games) Do you not like us or something? Why do you always have 1 beer & leave?" Lady, I only leave after 1 beer when YOU are serving because it's very obvious you don't like to serve me. You want me to beg to be served? Just like you had me do tonight? I have a good time with the other bartenders that serve me at that bar. The 3 times that YOU served me, yes, I paid my bar tab & walked out after 1 beer, coz you're a lousy bartender....

Luckily, I did not vomit on the bar. But I did run out because, I would’ve vomited on the bar absolutely 100%. I advise anybody who is wanting to go there, should really check themselves into a mental institution. I wil never step on this premise nor parking lot again!

Call this place up to order some food before we showed up only to find out that they close their kitchen 5 hours before they close. Ended up going somewhere else don't understand why a bar would close its grill before they do, but I guess they want you really drunk when you leave, why else would they close the kitchen so you can't order food with your drinks
