I always stop here every time I go to Pleasanton to pick up some gizzards but today was a very strange visit. Customer service was not what it usually is. I don’t know if the gentleman was the manager what he was but Customer service was out of zero for me they were having light troubles. The gentleman I referred to was wearing a black polo shirt was on his cell phone. It was around 11:45 AM on July 28. The lights came on while I was waiting to speak to someone and I overheard the gentleman with the black polo shirt tell some customers that they were only receiving cash because of the power outage that had happened seconds ago I proceeded to walk out the store to get cash from my car and walk back In the store, the man with the black polo shirt was still on the phone chitchatting with someone it didn’tsound like a phone call he was having with corporate office more like a personal phone call. He continued to giggle walk the dining area while waiting for him to walk back to the counter. I was really tempted to walk out, but I really enjoy the gizzards and the Customer service I usually get I proceeded to go to the register and he asked what I want while he was still on the phone, he wrote down my order on a piece of paper. He wrote down eight pieces of gizzards, and I proceeded to make them aware that I need it the 12 piece he looked at me like I was bothering him for changing my order while still on his phone I continue to try and have a conversation with him and complement him on the good food, but it did not work. He proceeded with his phone call did not thank me for my comment I paid for my order and went and sat in the dining room. When my order was done I saw him packet, put it in a bag and bring it to me where I was sitting while mind you still on the cell phone I thanked him. He did not respond just turned around and left. He was very rude. Not to acknowledge a customer while on a personal phone call a lot of my family members stop by there when visiting Pleasanton I will share this with them because if he was a manager, he’s not a very good one. Very bad experience today.
I enjoy their food and especially at this location because the general manager is always so friendly and kind as well as the staff and I’ve always received everything nice and hot. Hats off to yall.
Came in on a Saturday afternoon, staff was very polite, dining room was clean and chicken was juicy. Enjoyed my meal very much!
Enjoyable dining experience. The food was made to order, so fresh and hot, the mac and cheese, fries and rolls were super delicious. Friendly staff. Good, clean and friendly environment. I recommend Bush's Chicken over all other competition.
Staff was friendly, and the chicken came out fast. We had the 4 piece tender meal and it was hot and good. Love their house hot sauce it was tasty. Restaurant was very clean.

Omg have been here before and the food has always been good. Ordered tea and it has a weird taste, found out they changed supplier. Food came out and fries were cold Mac and cheese looked disgusting(I hadn't ordered it) waited for my green beans and they were cold twice. Overall I don't think I'll be back
Typical fast food chicken nothing that really stands out but then nothing all that bad either. This particular restaurant is often short of staff and their ability to get orders out timely is effected. However most of the staff is friendly towards the customers and the restaurant is kept fairly clean.
This location always gets my order right which is awesome. Only complaint is that they can be real skimpy on fries. I got half a serving of fries this time with all small tenders. Good food, but for eleven bucks, I wish they'd give a bit more.
First time hitting this spot since moving here. Ordered about $60 in food. The guy who took our order was really nice. The chicken, okra, gizzards, livers, rolls & corn nuggets were great!! So fresh!! Unfortunately the french fries & MacNCheese were soggy and cold. The guy was nice enough to put the food in backseat for us but we realized they forgot our gallon of tea when we got home. I wasn't driving all the way back and when I called I was put on hold for over 10 minutes like no one wanted to deal with my simple missing tea.
I never leave negative reviews but because we drove from Poteet to feed our family this needs to be said. First, the food is amazing. HOWEVER...get employees that double check before delivering to the truck. We were literally missing 1/2 of the order. We got home only to drive all the way back to retrieve the balance of what we paid for. Get new managers that train and watch all employees. You have competition directly next door, maybe we'll give them our money next time we spend $100 for fried chicken and mashed potatoes...
We normally eat here when we come see our doctors. I always request fresh gizzards and they make them for us. I ask today but didn't get them. They were cold and dried up. Not happy at all.
Changing my rating because the last few times we have been here, service has been EXTREMELY slow. We just waited in the drive thru for over 10 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged. If you are working alone I understand, but SAY SOMETHING. Don't just ignore your waiting customers. We ended up leaving.... and not for the first time.
We are comparing various restaurants chicken fingers. This place was pretty awful on that. Dry chicken, too much breading, rather tasteless. The fries were good, though. They also have an odd drive thru. Three rows side by side, and people come out and take your order, then bring it, then take your payment back in to finish up.
The little lady was rude and said I asked for it no ice…. When I asked for no sugar so when she replaced the tea she just like here turns and walks away if I hadn’t been in on a dead line I would have told her boss and I got mashed potatoes with gravy not my okra
The women’s bathroom stinks the food is over priced and bland Walmarts chicken strips are better than this place and they are over cooked at Walmart use a little salt please
No dress code 😢 didn't take my order right gossips about order employee while getting orders stopping to much to gossips food was ok but half was older and hard to much for what you get sorry
The 30 bucks for 2 meals should be a crime. I left feeling immediate regret after getting my receipt. Oh, yeah-- the regret hit at that time because they don't list their prices on the menu, and the cashiers come out to your car and ask for your order without telling you the price before charging your card. Also, it took 20 minutes for my order, which also stinks, and my chicken was rubbery and tasted undercooked. I H guess I'll find out later how sick I'm gonna be from eating here.
More like BEFORE 8:30pm that they CLOSE...I came there on a Friday night been a while since I have order from there since I really love the way they make their chicken, So I waited there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come out to take my order but NOPE, not even to at least let me know that they are CLOSED even though they close at 9 or so I THOUGHT still very rude and inconsiderate if they really care about providing good customer service and sales? but I guess not...Oh well...one BAD shot of BAD experience is all I can take for never coming back here and instead rather go GIVE my MONEY to other fast food establishments that are willing to provide me a BETTER service experience.
