Whenever I'm in Pleasanton I'm always coming in for a bite the chilly beef tendon is amazing and my son always gets the beef chow mein!!! And Can't stop thinking about this place
A no frills place in a strip mall, with the best beef noodle soup you can find anywhere in the bay area. The soup is nicely seasoned with a hint of spiciness. The big chunks of beef are falling-off-the-bones tender. Cannot recommend it highly enough. A must-stop in Pleasanton. Don't really recommend the xiaolong bao though, they are a bit too bland for me.
Noodles are freshly made so it's chewy and flavorful. The Braised beef is tender in general. The tan tan noodle is a good choice too. I like the regular style noodle but I love the the flat one more. I will try the spicy braised beef noodle next time.
A must have when I’m in Pleasanton! Their braised beef noodle soup is so good and full of flavor!!!
Really, really good fresh noodle dishes. The spicy dry pork noodle is my personal favorite.
their beef noodle soup is my favorite thing in the world!!!!!!!! and their soup dumplings are delish and full of tasty soup
This place was absolutely amazing! It's freezing here in the Trivalley and so I wanted something to warm me up and this hot the spot. I ordered the oiled pork with garlic sauce for an appetizer and the braised beef noodle soup for my main course. The food was top tier, especially the soup which came with tender beef and handmade noodles in a savoury rich broth which had loads of flavor. I will definitely be a regular there from now and and can't wait to try the rest of their menu. I highly recommend this place.
CA Noodle is a true gem for noodle lovers! Every bowl I’ve ordered has been packed with fresh, chewy noodles and topped with incredibly tender beef soup noodles, dumplings and three other side dishes. The portions are generous—enough to fill you up and still have leftovers to take home, which is such a pleasant surprise these days. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and the flavors are authentic and satisfying. If you’re craving a hearty Taiwan style food, CA Noodle never disappoints. Five stars for great food, excellent value, and consistently generous portions
Tried so many dishes here and loved every single one — from starters to noodles. My top picks: beef tendon and the tomato beef brisket noodles. And for families, the Ding Ding fried noodles are a kid favorite! Service is great too — shoutout to the super friendly Cantonese guy who always takes care of us. Weekend tip: get here early if you don’t want to wait in line. They’ve added new items recently like steamed dumplings, Xiaolongbao, stinky tofu, and lamb chops — definitely worth trying. This is my must-eat spot whenever I’m in the Pleasanton area.
I’ve been hearing rave reviews about this place for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to check it out after a few years. As a noodle enthusiast, I was immediately impressed by their unique noodle texture. They’re chewy and well-coated in the sauce, and they come in three different options: regular, middle, and flat, which is the widest. The only downside is that these noodles are incredibly long because they’re handmade, so it’s difficult to cut or split them. We tried the dry beef noodle and chili oil noodle, and both were delicious. The spicy sauce beef and tendon was also a great choice. One thing to keep in mind is that there’s plenty of parking spots, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot.
I recently visited CA Noodle, which left a big impression on me. The menu had a variety of traditional dishes, and I especially liked the seaweed salad with garlic. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a slight garlicky touch. The hot soups were another highlight—rich, flavorful, and filling, perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The large portions are impressive. The dumplings were also delicious; they had a soft dough and were filled with savory ingredients. I recommend them to anyone who loves delicious Chinese cuisine!
If there was a speed eating noodle competition, I would win it with this dish. Had the beef broth with the flat wide noodles. Absolutely a taste of home for me, bursting with umami flavor but surprisingly balanced with some bitterness. Service and decorations are all understated. I think I exchanged a total of 3 things to the server: hello, thank you, and bye. Maybe this is to put emphasis on the food
Delicious and authentic Chinese noodles! Service was great, portions are big. The flavor is very good, highly recommend this place. Got the braised beef noodle soup, the spicy sauerkraut beef noodles, and chang sha stinky tofu. All the dishes were excellent.
Recommended: Big Plate Chicken, Big Plate Beef, Lamb Soup, Stinky Tofu, Braised Beef, Beef Tendon hand made noodles, food fresh closest to authentic chinese food. highly recommend
Really good beef noodle soup. We got the spicy version and it was exceptional. A rich flavorful broth that wasn’t watered down at all. The service was a little slow and the soup was a little too hot but I take it as it was all made to order.
CA NOODLE is definitely one of the best noodle houses I've tried in the Tri-Valley area. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and convenient parking, although there might be a bit of wait during weekend dining times. Every time I go, I always order the braised beef noodles, and my husband enjoys their cold dishes like spicy sauce beef & beef tendon, garlic sauce shredded salad, sweet and sour cucumber, etc. I have to mention why I love their braised beef noodles. They use high-quality beef and the portions are generous. The noodles are perfectly firm, never mushy, and the broth is deliciously flavorful. If you're in the area and in the mood for noodles, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
My family hails from a region of China known for its noodle dishes. It’s hard to find restaurants that serve authentic northern Chinese noodles. My mom says this place has the best noodles she has ever tasted in America, and I concur.
A different restaurant used to be at this location but sadly didn't make it through covid. But this new restaurant has most certainly picked up where the people restaurant left off There is no doubt that you need to order dishes that reflect the namesake. The noodles are phenomenal and have a delicate, tender finish. The sauces and spices are fantastic and the restaurant has clearly found a strong following.

The owners are very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is clean and well organized. We order both dry and soup noodles. The noodles are very well made with amazing chewy texture. The tomato soup base comes with a very nice stroke of ginger aroma. All the braised beef were done perfectly and just melt in your mouth. Would definitely come back again.
Came out to this hidden gem on a friday night. Was able to sit down right away but the place continued to be full the entire night while we ate. We bith ordered the spicy braised beef noodle soup. All i can say is wow. This had the right amoubt of spice. The flavor of this food was amazing. I had no idea this place even exosted until i seen it on tik tok. It is the best noodle place i have been to. The portions are plentyful. We also had the dunpling. I personally didnt like the taste but my wife enjoyed them. I will ve back to eat here again and soon. The staff was very polite and helpful. If you have not tried this do yourself a favor and go
We absolutely love the food at this Chinese noodle shop! Everything has so much flavor! We regularly order the beef noodle soup, beef/egg and tomatoes noodle soup, and (love!) stinky tofu. The dry noodle dishes are also good. We usually do takeout bc the online menu is easy to use, and the restaurant area is small and tends to get packed (and the shared parking lot tends to fill up as well). Regarding (sit down) service, there's no physical folder menu. It's all done on the app.

The portions are large and the food is so good. When I need a high value, large portioned cheat meal, I go here. It's worth the calories. I enjoy their thick long noodles - they hit the right spot.
Best part was the service - very responsive and eager to help. Food is good but nothing special (the spicy fish noodles needed a little bit of salt to punch up the flavors). The day I went, it was hot in Pleasanton and unfortunately their AC was broken (my bad, ordering a hot soup on a hot day with no AC). This place has pretty high rating, so maybe I will try out one more time.
Delicious! They were a little swamped after we sat down so I'd suggest avoiding the lunch rush. Service had a bit or a hard time keeping up but the food was well worth it. Had the braised beef and the short rib and mushrooms. The medium noodles are the perfect chew!
Showed up on a Sunday around lunchtime with the intent to dine in, but unfortunately (for us), the place was completely packed! We wanted a seat for five, but the place was clearly designed for tables of two and four: so probably would’ve needed to wait a while before we were seated. We ended up ordering quite a few things: beef noodle soup, pork with dry noodle, lamb noodle soup, pig ears, Liang pi, and the rou jia mou. The food probably took about 30 minutes to cook (which felt quite long but likely was due to the dine-in situation being full). We took it home to eat (15 minute drive) and I’d say that the texture of the food (noodles, bread) were the highlights here - whereas the broth, flavors were just alright. The pig ears were also very good, but almost a little sweet with a good amount of chili oil. I will say, I appreciate the packaging here: always a plus when the noodles are separated from the broth and it doesn’t get soggy from the drive. Overall, the food was good enough for a fix, but not something I’d go out of my way to get.
We ordered braised beef noodle soup, house special pork burger and the sliced pork with garlic sauce. We liked the noodle soup the best, the soup and the beef is so rich and tasty, and the noodle has the texture of hand pulled noodles. The pork burger is also yummy. The sliced pork with garlic sauce can use stronger garlic flavor though. Overall the food is a solid four star.
Stinky tofu is not super stinky but love it! Beef tripe could use a bit more flavoring. Recommend beef noodles with regular noodles (thick and chewy) and pig ears
They are rightly known for their braised beef noodle soup! This was delicious and the beef was tender. We also ordered the fungus salad which they really need to rename or put mushroom in parentheses because it doesn't sound appetizing but this has long been one of our favorite Chinese appetizers. The only disappointment was the xiao long bao since we've tasted better elsewhere plus the broth inside was minimal. Overall, we'll be back to try other dishes.
Noodles are really delicious! We tried both dry noodle (拌面) and fried noodle (炒面), both are tasty. Highly recommend. Not recommend Cumin Lamb (孜然羊肉), too much pepper and too few meat. Most of the lamb are very fat.

This is a place that I won’t come for a second time. This place is so hot that there’s no AC and no fan. Imagine you’re eating a bowl of very hot noodle with no fan and no AC in a hot weathe. They give you a lot of noodle in a bowl, but you will feel super thirsty after that, I am not sure how much MSG is in it. Service is no good either, the guy never come to check on you, did not greet you when you come in and did not say bye when you leave.
We ordered braised beef noodle soup and spicy fish noodles soup for lunch. The noodles seemed to be homemade and tasted good (five stars), but the portion of the beef and fish was very small: only 5 small pieces of meat in both. The beef was tough and chewing, unlike what other reviewers said. The soup tasted fine but seemed to have lots of msg. I was very thirsty the whole afternoon. I don't recommend this restaurant and will not return.
Normally I would rate places based on their food, but this place took FOREVER to get us all our food. It wasn't until about an whole hour after we were seated until we got all our dishes. From what we observed, it looked like they were giving one dish per table at a time and rotating through each table, and that included the water as well. There would be people that would come in like 45 minutes after we sat down and still get a dish before we had all our dishes yet. We were in a hurry too so this was NOT okay. And we only ordered three dishes, two of the dishes were cold dishes and one of those two was a simple seaweed salad appetizer, which somehow came like 20 minutes after a main dish. The food was just okay. Maybe it's just because they just opened but I think I'm going to wait a while and see how the future reviews are going to be before coming back.
Arrived at 12 pm for Saturday lunch and they were out of the beef noodle soup, which is their most popular soup noodle (not much lunch traffic, think they were out from the day before based on what I was told). I ordered the chicken mushroom soup and soup dumplings. Soup dumplings, not their specialty, assume they're from frozen - no soup inside 70% of them. Chicken noodle soup was terrible, no flavor in the broth whatsoever. I would call it chicken flavored water than soup. The mushrooms in the soup had no flavor to them either and the chicken meat barely did, where did all the flavor go if not into the soup?! The noodles are good though.
Food is flavorful, but not good quality. Big plate chicken/beef/lamb noodles are probably precooked and microwaved before serving, which occasionally would result in meat chunks being cold in the center. Lamb chunks were 80-90% pure fat. Lamb and pork burgers were not authentic and meat was a small portion. Pot stickers do not look or taste like freshly cooked, dough was soggy. Overall I liked the flavor, but meat tasted stale and I had stomach discomfort afterwards.
If you're planning to visit this restaurant during the hot summer months, it's best to order your food to go. Dining inside feels like sitting in a sauna because they don't turn on the air conditioning. A restaurant should provide a comfortable environment for customers to enjoy their meals
