Authentic Flautas were perfect. Pastor Quesadilla tasted like heaven. Beans and rice were a tad light on the portion, but I ate my whole meal before I could take a picture!

Absolutely incredible food. We had quesabirria tacos and fajita beef, chicken and pastor gorditas. Amazing chips and homemade salsa. Homemade green and red sauces available to add even more flavor to the already incredible food. HIGHLY recommend. Family owned and operated. They are very kind and passionate about their cooking! You will love it!! Forgot to take a picture because we were so excited to try it all!

This place is great, they have only been open a couple of weeks. The food is great and the staff is friendly. It’s Mexican not Tex-Mex so not covered in queso or chili con carne, chips and salsa are good. Exactly what we were needing in this area. Been twice and already planning my third visit!!!

First time here, must be relatively new since I havent seen it before and it's q little tucked away from the main road. First off the server was very friendly, put effort into making me feel welcomed and you can tell he enjoys doing it. The food was delicious, had frshly made guacamole that was made to order and not pre made, also had 3 gorditas 2 of barbacoa and the other of pastor, the pastor in paticular came out very good. Server was very attentive and came to check up regularly if i needed any other service while eating. Very glad i stopped by for a bite, would come here again when i visit the area more frequently.

These guys have the most beautiful, the most. Well, put together tort I have ever seen the breaded steak is amazing.

I have been there twice now. I have tried two different dishes and both tasted fresh and flavorful. The salsa was great tonight!!!

My wife and I were driving through the area yesterday and stopped for lunch. The food was fantastic. We were served two salsas with the entree -- green and red. Both were excellent: the green being smooth, salty, with a little kick in the end and the red delightfully rich, peppery, and smokey. The owner/chef was friendly and the prices very reasonable. If I lived in the area, I would eat here all the time. Highly recommended.

Our server was fantastic. The portions were extremely generous. We both wanted and needed a to go box. We immediately put this place in our GPS as a favorite we will eat at again the next time we are traveling through.

Everyone has their preferences but of all the authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve gotten Al pastor tacos from ranging from Point clear to Dallas, theirs is hands down my favorite! Best part is, I found a restaurant I like that is only mere minutes away from home! Chayitos paired with the other small restaurants we have that aren’t big name chains are what make Rains County a nice little slice of heaven when it comes to good eats! I’m appreciative of how long they have thrived in the area and I pray they don’t go absolutely nowhere!

The gordita was alright but the flan was really good that I ate it before I took a picture. Now, I definitely have to go back and order another one. The menudo was good also. Go visit this place for some good Mexican food and I will keep you posted on other dishes I try.
