Although it isn't in the best area, the service and food is great and fresh. The condiments are always stocked up and so are the untenisils which is very convenient. Both drive thru and inside are pretty fast. The security is polite too.

I love this location! Although I live in North Pomona above Foothill and the El Pollo in La Verne on Foothill is closer to me, I will always drive down to this location on Holt east of Garey because of the service. The manager here is head & shoulders above all the rest in last 6 yrs! Seriously... this location is cleaner, more organized and more professional than ever before. Great Job to ALL of you working there!!

Pollo loco tastes great. But this place is awesome. Everytime i come here they are always nice , and fast. Even if you have to wait for chicken it is not that long of a wait. The food always comes out tasting hot and awesome. And the managers are cool. And so are the employees. I love coming here to eat!!

Pretty average Pollo Loco with good and friendly service. But just being honest: the burritos did seem a bit smaller than usual? I didn't have a measuring tape so can't verify.

The food is always prepared well here, the service is great and the lobby is clean. Just keep in mind that they have a security guard so the area around it isn't the best.

Woah! They Chipotle burrito is HOT! Had to chug down my horchata to even out the heat. Good flavor though. Chipotle typically is milder with a Smokey bite. But this was Habenero style heat. Just be cautious when ordering if you do not have a pallet for spicy food.

I love el pollo loco. But the manager need to take classes about of costumer satisfaction. They offer me a free burrito and when I got home I noticed that I had only 1. I called and the "manager" told me she was going to speak with the employees to stop offering a free burrito 😡😡😡

I would have given the full 5 stars but I notice often in the evening like after 5 or 6 pm they run out chicken or there is a longer wait for chicken. Staff is polite, security does a good job keeping people civilized and as usual the food is oh so tasty.

Food is very good. However, service is VERY slow. I have gine several times and they have been out of Chicken. Which is so funny. Also, double check your order cause I have gotten the wrong order mulitable times. Cause the wait tomes are so long the customers tend to be really mean to only employees which is not cool. I only go when not in a rush and always try to smile cause the employees need it.

I've gone here for years and the customer service has seriously gone down hill! Every time I go now the cooks are so busy talking they miss what should be there main concern which us the quality of the food. Recently I had little hard and old pieces of chicken in a Ranchero burrito which where so hard I couldn't finish my food. I went today and ordered a Pollo bowl and the rice is mixed with (again) old hard rice, I'm not asking the impossible just dont let things sit for so long under the heat lamps or in the containers they sit in, there is no reason for these things to be overlooked and I'm positive you would not serve your families old hard food....and pay for it as well.

I was craving tortilla soup. I went to another El Pollo Loco to order it and they tell me they don't have any. So I leave and go to this El Pollo Loco because I really wanted tortilla soup. I decide to get a tortilla soup combo cause I'd get a lot more for a good price. So I order it, 10 min later I get my order and they gave me a nacho combo. I go tell them I wanted tortilla soup, not nachos. She tells me they don't have tortilla soup. Umm so why not tell me that when I ordered? Instead of just giving me nachos. I didn't want nachos and I spent $15 on an order that I didn't even want. If I had known they didn't have any I could have saved $15 and made nachos at home. I'm pretty annoyed about this.

Let's face it. This isn't located in a very nice place to begin with. There is NOTHING wrong with the staff or restaurant... it's just that the people who hang out there are nothing but bad news. They even have their own armed security on premise since customers were frequently harassed for money by panhandlers/druggies. I'd definitely give this 4-5 stars but the surrounding environment just isn't nice. Avoid HOLT.AVE entirely tbh.

Dull and un eventful experience, asked for unsweetened Tea and 2 Splenda and young kid worker is like we have salt and Sugar so u want that ? I'm like as a employee at A big Chain establishment, should know what to offer a customer when ordering IUnsweetened Tea .. or when asked for Yellow packets or Splenda. Terrible

The location of this place is very convenient and the food was warm and delicious. The one opportunity that I discovered was that there was a large wait as it is at most fast food location to labor constraints either due to staffing related issues or self imposed labor reductions. One noticeable difference and my reason for giving this location a 3 Star rating was the absence of the pagers given to guests at other locations. This system has almost always seemed to be a solution to the massive amounts of people who were standing in the order taking area awaiting their food orders.

They always have errors, last week I ordered for delivery 2 breasts and they sent me only one and one wing and they did not send me the chips. Yesterday I asked for a similar order and now I miss the salad and the guacamole was not fresh. I feel frustrated that I already talked to them several times and it just keeps happening. I like the food, they just have to pay more attention when preparing every order. I hope they improve their service. Thank you.

Good food for a fast food restaurant. Prices are high, $35 for lunch for 2. They need to offer more salsa/hot sauce choices. Salsa should be able to serve yourself instead of asking for it. Not enough drink choices. Nothing that's sugarfree/caffeine free. I would come more often if the prices were more reasonable.

Usually they forget to put everything in the bag. I went there last night and got so frustrated while ordering, I told them never mind, I would go somewhere else. Having to wait 25 minutes for the chicken to cook was ridiculous. Did they not know that they were running out before they did!

I went there to get a chicken Tostada salad. It was not good. The Tostada was deep fried in oil. There were not much green salad in the Tostada. They threw in some chicken, but no rice or beans inside. I have been to other El pollo restaurants and could tell the difference. I am not going back to this one.

The employees here ignore the customers, including the manager. Very unprofessional when they play in the back around all the food when they are supposed to be getting orders together. Then wants to get an attitude when you ask if they could bring out more hot sauce which is their job.

Don’t go in near their closing time... all of my food had poor taste... usually you have that rich fresh taste. The coleslaw had an expired taste.. the one where you could tell its about to go bad and the guacamole salsa and pico de Gallo was not bright colored. You could tell it was like the last part of the batch that had been sitting there for a long time - it was a mushy dark green and red colors.. YUCK! Super disappointed.. don’t buy after 8pm. They also forgot to put in the gravy for my mashed potatoes 😭 like.. that was the most tasty thing I was looking forward to... sorry for the two stars but I’m nice enough to put that because I was able to work with the chicken. Even that wasn’t fresh, but I wasn’t going to drive all the way back because I was super HANGRY! 😤 fix yo shhhiii... next time I go in I’m gonna have to taste your batches to make sure it tastes good before I pay for my food coz that wasn’t fresh at aaaalll!!!

I was really disappointed with our visit here yesterday.. We decided to order the $20 family dinner.. I was told they only had mixed.. I asked if it was going to be the same price? Cashier went to ask and came back with a no, the price was $24.. I told him it wasn't my fault they were out off legs and thighs.. we laughed a little and at this point who seems to have been the manager (I didn't get his name) rudely told me they were out and all he had was mixed that if I wanted that or just wait 15 to 20 minutes.. I told him I was going to wait.. I didn't understand how they were out.. it seemed they were fully staffed.. I counted 7 employees.. the dining area was empty, there was 1 other customer (behind us) and 1 car in the drive thru and the serving are was dirty.. I will not visit this location again..

I waited in the drive through for about 15 mins keep in mind I’m the only one there. I was at the speaker and no one assisted me. I drove over to the window and still nothing someone peeked their head out to see if someone was there and still didn't get helped, so I just basically spent my whole lunch at the window trying to get food and wasn’t able to even do that.

Drive-through took for ever only 2 cars in front of me. Had me wait the speaker to order for about 5 minutes messed up my order paid for extra meet didn't get it and they charged me for it I didn't even bother going bck this was my first and last time at this location..

I was disappointed today with my order experience from this location... To start I want to say that I love el pollo loco, and even when I have bad experiences I still return for the food only. So today while getting lunch in the drive through I was excited to see that you are now offering Keto street tacos. Since I've started keto, el pollo loco has been One of the few fast food places I can still find keto friendly options at. I confirmed with the cashier that the tortillas are low carb (really hoping that I wasnt lied to since I cant seem to confirm the information online anywhere), then asked what comes with the combo, and was told Rice and Beans... now anyone who is advertising there food as "certified keto" should know rice and beans are not keto. I asked if I could swap the rice and beans for a side salad as was declined! I explained that rice and beans are not keto, and was still told that they couldn't swap it. So instead of being able to only spend $6.99 plus tax for a "keto certified" meal, I had to pay for 2 tacos and a side salad "al la cart"... While trying to research what makes the tortillas keto for confirmation, I mock order the combo online and guess what? It gives me the option to get other items in place of the rice and beans. Anyways, just needed to share my disappointment and hope that anyone else trying to keep to there keto diet and visits this location can see this and know that they are allowed to get other sides besides rice and beans.

We just got here from another location since they said that we had to wait for a piece of breast about 40 minutes!!! We go every Thursday after our workout. We are not going back to El pollo loco never again!!! This is not the first time that something happens when we go. Last time the girl at the front put all our stuff that it was to go to eat there and the stuff that was for there in boxes to go. Then the time before they forgot the breast and if we wanted we had to wait more time. At the location that we are right now is all dirty, tables are full of stains and pieces of food on the table and the sits as well. Not even talking about the floor... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE we really like the food from here but we can't keep coming and wait for the food and get a bad customer service, we are paying for the food, at least we want to feel treated as a customers.

The classic chicken tostada is like half the ingredients. I remember it used to be overflowing, now they use the tostada like a plate and fill it halfway. 2023-11-28. Lobby has a sewer smell. Food was dry and overcooked, service was slow.

Just got a burrito from their drive through. Took one bite and it was seriously the saltiest thing I've ever tasted. Had someone else try it and they said the same thing. Went yesterday and wanted the family meal. It was around 4pm and the cashier was extremely rude. When I ask about the family meal she seems like she was frustrated. Her tone with me was horrible. Didn't wash her hands or change the gloves. When I asked to speak to the manager. It seemed at 1st. She didn't care. She cut me off while speaking. But then listened and said she would speak to the lady. It's not always what u say but it's how u say it. I came for food not a bad attitude.

Every time I go they mess up 6 times now they usually forget my salad or I'll ask for extra dressing and they give me a salad with no dressing at all this time I ordered nachos one with no chicken I confirmed at the window that one was with no chicken it had a sticker and appeared to have no chicken but there was chicken in it so my vegetarian son who loves their nachos without the chicken but into chicken and spent a hour throwing up. Every time I go I spend 17 to 26 dollars so that's over 100 now to have every single visit be either missing part of order or be wrong even with confirmation at window and they won't answer phone so I'm leaving a review

I never post negative reviews but this el pollo loco is the worst we've ever gone to. each time we go we hope it'll be better, and they still disappoint. it's 845pm, they close at 10pm.they ran out of chicken. they always say they're out of chicken 35-60 minutes before closing so they don't have to serve people. they continuously mess up our orders, and they never have chicken at any time of the late nights.

This is the worst location to go to. Do yourself a favor and drive to the one in La Verne or Montclair. This location is poorly managed and double check your order because it is never correct. The salad dressing is watered-down (if you even get salad dressing) and the salads are old and wilted. The chicken is over-cooked and dry. The employees and management staff put in no effort and it shows. Nobody is striving for excellence at this location for sure! I have tried it three times now hoping perhaps it was a bad day for them in addition to being a convenient location from the Pomona courts, wanted to support local business and feed our clerical staff...never again! Ordering food here is a complete waste of your money.

Just ordered this crap on Uber Eats. I received the worst nastiest burrito I've ever eaten. It featured overcooked burnt chicken, nothing but rice, no onions, no salsa. Also didn't receive the chips and salsa that I added to the order. Complete waste of time money and my sanity. Avoid this location at all costs.

I never thought the location of a fast food chain could severely impact the taste, quality, and service. This is by far the most disgusting el pollo loco i’ve been to. They always mess up my order, the last 5 times i’ve came they forgot my STRAW MY FORK AND MY CHIPS. The last time I came the beans and rice were as hard as a pebble. We ordered the 8 piece chicken dinner. Quite disappointed. The chicken pieces were overcooked and a couple just burned. The beans sat in an excessive amount of liquid (not sure what it was). The gravy was totally fat. Lastly, the small containers filled supposedly with avocado was incorrect. They contained green salsa. Certainly, we were doing.

Got to line with 2 people ahead of me at 11:51am... waited until 12:15pm to put my order in. Watching the cashier handle cash and cards without a glove then going to the kitchen to help pour beans to go and touching food item utensils without gloves again and not sanitizing. Was told to wait 15 minutes for my order of 8 piece chicken...what is this? And the mixed 8 piece I got for almost $21 is this sorry pile of legs.

I order 12 piece meal in the drive-thru. The cashier Carissa was not paying attention, she was busy talking to another employee, had to repeat my order 3 times, then I waited 30 min to get my order and when I ask for some utensils, Carissa said "you have to wait because we are really busy" when I arrived home I got hard skin burned chicken and the mashed potato was like dough. Terrible service and the food as well.
