Got chicken and waffles. The waffles were good, but the chicken was stellar. I love the atmosphere of this place too. Its just a huge field, n they have some outdoor seating. I've actually never sat at the indoor seating, so I don't know if it's all self-service or if they have a waitstaff. The outside bar used to have a bartender, but it was just extra seating last time I was there.
Great place! Really good food. Look forward to going back when it isn't raining and eating on the patio.
Amazing place. Beautiful atmosphere, Great craft beer and delicious food menu. They even have free coffee for your trip home.
Great place for a drink after work or on the weekend with friends. Service is excellent, and the atmosphere is a chill vibe. The food is good, but it would be nice to have a little more variety.
I just had some fries and a few beers. The service was amazing, I sat at the bar. The bar attendant was good talked to us often and let us taste whatever we wanted. It was a real good time. I visited both places while in town they were both great. I recommend this place for a fun night out
Had a very nice family event for about 40 people ; had a portion of the back room reserved for us ; Melissa was great to work with putting it together and the food and service at the event were excellent; very nice building and atmosphere in a great setting.
My husband and I go here at least a couple times a week and have never had a bad experience. It's only a short distance from our home and cost isn't terrible considering what everything else in the world costs. Food is always great, service is amazing, friendly, and personable, and the beer is always good. It helped broaden my horizons in terms of drinks ( I never knew I liked new England IPA's until it was recommended.) Every time we are in, we feel like family. Sarah and Emma and everyone else are amazing and we recommend it to everyone who asks for a place to eat.
This place was incredibly busy. Loved the staff, especially Mike, who was helpful and attentive even in the chaos. For example, they ran out of tasting glasses but he let us get 1/2 sizes to taste the rest we wanted to taste. The beers were good - mostly New England style so quite cloudy, but with nice flavor profiles. The food truck was well organized and food, reasonably priced Mexican fare. They are expanding and have a patio area as the temps warm up so it should alleviate the crowding because there was quite a din. And it's dog friendly. And lots of free, easy parking. We will definitely be back.
Great environment with indoor or outdoor options for seating. The server at the bar (Matty I believe) was informative, and helpful, and had a very fun spirit. It was a packed house on a Monday but that didn't take from the service in any way. The Food Was Wonderful!! We ordered separately, but we shared everything so that no one would miss out on a" good thing"!
Such a nice place, they were so kind to our little goldendoodle. Service was really good, tasty quesadilla, good lager, and I don't even drink that much beer. I recommend changing the name - Farm Beer Tree is forgettable, unrememorable. Look up Bad Sons in Ansonia CT for inspiration.
We love Beer Tree. It is a wonderful concept and they are very attentive to keeping everyone safe during the pandemic. It is a place where all feel welcome, including young families with children, and pets are also welcome. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The one problem we repeatedly have there is with the food service, which is provided by a food trailer, located outside the Beer Tree's large indoor bar area. For example, 4 of us went for brunch today. We started with a drink at the self service bar, then got in line to order our food. We placed two separate orders, but we were back to back in line. One of the four of us received their breakfast burrito. It was at least a half-hour before two more of our party received their breakfast burrito and then another ten minutes before the last person in our party received their breakfast sandwich. We were there last evening as well; a party of four again. Two of the four of us had our food and it was another 20 minutes before the other two members received their food. The food is delicious but if the wait/delivery time does not improve, it will not be a place we will eat at.
I've been enjoying their amazing beers for the last few months. I've never had anything from them that wasn't delicious. We stopped by on our way through the area today. The brewery is very nice, service is great, and the food truck serves up some really good grub. They also have a huge outdoor area to spread out. Will definitely return!
Both locations were on my list for my trip back to PA. Super nice place and great beer. Trivia night was awesome my only nit pick is the announcer should dial it down from am 11 the a 8 on volume. Our group and a few other around us thought it was way to loud. If that bugs you maybe bring a pair of ear plugs. Factory location was much better on volume. Love the food at beer tree too. I will go back as much as I can
An amazing place to have local craft beers with an awesome atmosphere, inside and out! The people do a lot to make it a great place and it shows! The fries are out of this world
An absolute must stop if you are in the area. The beers they brew are high quality and they have a good selection. The outdoor space is something special, as well as the inside. It's all timber frame and adds to the experience. The service is 2nd to none everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. The food may be better than the beers. It's very expensive but worth it.
Beautiful location with delicious food. I had the chicken and beef tacos and they were so flavorful. Love that they’re dog friendly so my pup could come too!
Great spot! Lovely rustic chic vibe. I definitely recommend the bahn mi taco! It was packed on a Sunday and the acoustics were a little rough, though, with the hard walls and high ceilings (especially in the back room). If you have a hard time hearing with background noise this might be a challenging spot for you. If that's not a deal breaker, though, check it out!
Have been here many times. Beer is always amazing. Core beers are always good. And then the new ones are fantasic! Nice change ups. Food started off as a food truck, but kitchen was recently added on. Food matches the beer, never disappoints.
Gorgeous place by the river, plenty of inside and outside seating. Huge fireplace, soaring ceilings, great ambience! Perfect spot for group outing or a couple's casual night out. Food is 7 out of 10 in my opinion. Beer is really good, just not a broad selection. Everyone will find something they like though. Need to put table # more visible on the tables. Food runners kept coming by and looking over our shoulders trying to identify the table and trying to give us food which wasn't ours. We will definitely be back!
Excellent beer selections. Good food as well, had a great time!
Great place to stop for a beer after your outdoor activities. Place was very spacious and open. Super clean and super friendly staff. Great beer choices. My favorite was time to dream ipa. Not overly hoppy, great taste and nice finish. I ordered the jackfruit tacos, loved them! Hubby had a pork, a chicken. And a beef Taco and enjoyed his also! We shared a humongous order of fries. Very tasty. Just wish they were a tad bit hotter but they were definitely nice and crispy! J would not hesitate to go back again.
Beer Tree never disappoints. The beer was amazing as always. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The location was excellent! We sat outside and enjoyed a couple flights. The building is inviting and has plenty of room. The food from Fox and Farmer was delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area.
We did a kayak trip down river and pulled off at Beer Tree Brew and was elated that there were bathrooms and running water right by the river. The 10 of us decided to get some drinks and have dinner here and I was amazed at the quality of food. This is not bar food. Very very delicious meat and non meat options. Great way to end a river trip. Thank you!
They have a great beer selection here, and it is a beautiful location. There is plenty of room inside and out. They also had a food truck that had some good options, especially the fried chicken sandwich. For the beer I suggest the mint chocolate stout or the pineapple milkshake ipa!
Awesome place for outdoor dining and drinks. Great ambiance. Live music is not over bearing. Beer is delicious and there is a good variety.
What a fun day!! There was entertainment, lots of fun things for kids too!!
Friendly counter service- order at the bar & food is brought to your table. Casual, laid back, excellent food. Tried their Oktoberfest Marzen, it was very good
Came for a car show to support some friends they hosted and enjoyed some delicious food with some drinks I found I liked. Took some cans home with me. Well worth the trim. Very comfortable and relaxing environment.
Great dog friendly brewery with lots of outdoor seating. Make sure to try the latest Trippy Tree.
Food was great. Beers never disappoint. Staff was kind and quick. Would definitely go back!
Can’t go wrong with the wine slushies and sour selection. We really enjoyed the fries, jackfruit tacos, spring tacos, and loaded nachos too! A nice place to hang out and relax on a warm day.
Cute brewery and food establishment that is also very dog friendly. Have a small selection of beer and a small kitchen menu, but they did their menu well. The burgers are char-broiled. Delicious. The chicken Caesar wrap was tasty and filling. The house made chips were a tad burnt, and their foxy fries with a dipping sauce was great. There was water available for everyone as self service. There are lawn games and other games to play. There’s a special area for events. Would recommend.
Great local bar/brewery! Food was good, everything reasonably priced. They even had a promo for the storm, 20% off six packs and a roll of TP. Lol! Service was great and they even played Jamiroquai.
Had a great time here with Mary Ellen (the wife),and friend Johanna. Very good food as always and band Brothers and Friend R and R'ed the house. Met people I haven't seen in too long here also
I don't review a whole lot but I really like this place it was very big The beer selection was good I had a couple of different beers one that I really liked was the blueberry and another that I really liked was the cider hibiscus ginger I also ordered the buffalo chicken mac and it was delicious I give this place as five stars because it is very good location. Atmosphere for a single person was a little lacking wide open places but still friendly staff great location Caleb and Sarah were great I missed the other tenders name but I had a good time!
I'm updating this review. My understanding is that they now carry nonalcoholic craft beer in a can on a regular basis. The main reason for this update is Sunday Brunch. The food is good but the breakfast potatoes are not up to par. They are just cubed potatoes dropped in the deep fryer. I can understand not wanting to do potatoes on the grill but these are lacking in flavor and uninteresting. My suggestion would be to have deep fried tater tots. They are moist and have great flavor. They are versatile to put in other dishes and would raise the quality of breakfast. They can also be served any time of day and go great with beer. I love Sunday Brunch there and the fact that they are dog friendly. It's just the boring dry probably frozen homefries that ruin it for me. Met up with friends on a Saturday night about 6:30 pm. Had a great time. This is more of a destination than a bar. Inside and outside dining. Good beer. I just wish they would brew their own nonalcoholic beer. I go there to drink their beer, but it is a significant drive, so I have to minimize my alcohol intake. I would rather it be their nonalcoholic brew I drink rather than seltzer, soda, or tea.
Wanting to try something new farm by beer tree hit the mark. The place is just off the highway but very quiet and big. When you get their pick a table they will have a number on them. Then order food and drinks unless you getting just drinks. If you like me and have never had any product you can get the flight which provides 4 samples of what you can have. We also ordered food getting chicken and waffles, 3 types of tacos. The tacos are enough of 1 person to comfortably have something without over doing it. I would highly recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken is seasoned beyond amazing and you get a large piece. The tacos I only like the beef taco. The chicken was a little dry and the pulled pork was to intense with all the flavors. They have plenty of seating either bar, inside or outside. Finally if you find anything you like they do offer packs of beer ready to go.
This was my first time visiting and trying the beers. I've been off beer for a little while but couldn't resist and I was not disappointed. Every beer I had was quite tasty. I even picked up some cans we hadn't tried and they were great. The atmosphere is really cool plus the grounds and building are very well done. Excellent seating options, things to do for both adults and kids - they had toys, games and coloring for the kids in the back room. Not sure if that was only for the family day event or if some of that is around normally, but it was all good. The only complaint is the bar setup makes busy days at the front registers really packed. Definitely want to use the back patio bar whenever it's open. Also, don't miss the cooler out front. They had other beers not on tap along with 1911 ciders and other drinks. Bring your kayak. They have a put in spot just outside the back patio.
The relaxed ambience of this brewery is great for family and friends gathering. The staff are so nice and friendly. They don’t offer wide variety of beers but what they have, all tastes awesome. Their fries are also really good and goes well with the beers. Definitely recommend the fries too.
What a great place! Kind of in the middle of nowhere but I guarantee it's worth the trip. They have a huge property with abundant outdoor seating, as in more than they probably have indoors. While I was there it seemed incredibly busy but the wait for service was never more than a few minutes and the employees were so incredibly kind and engaging even in such a fast paced environment. The beer was also top notch. I had a flight and a pint while I was there and didn't have a single beer I wouldn't drink again. The only downside was the food which was a bit pricey and lukewarm by the time I got it and tastes mostly of overused spicy sauce. So maybe eat before or after but I'd skip the food here. While it might not be the closest brewery around it's definitely one that should still be on any beer lovers' list to visit!
But, let's talk about the food provided by a vendor. I love the place. Love the atmosphere. Love the people. The food is a real problem. If you've had a fabulous meal at The Farm, count yourself lucky. Inconsistent would be a word I would use to describe the food. Will your delicious tacos be served on a soggy taco shell. Yum! Will the beef on a weck be so salty that you don't care to finish it? How about that fried chicken? Wouldn't it be wonderful to have it served up, yet not charred to black. What is the point in a deliciously seasoned coating if the chef can't get it on the plate without burning it! The brews... Outstanding!
Drinks were great, atmosphere always good! Food was slightly disappointing this time. We'll definitely be back, but it was not what we normally experience at Farm!
Beer is great, facility and atmosphere are cool, they're very dog friendly. The only complaint I have is with the food and is a minor complaint at best -- I ordered the "Beef on Weck" and it simply wasn't on a Kimmelweck roll. No flaked salt and literally 5 caraway seeds. The beef was good, but its just a beef sandwich, not beef on weck. That said, my girlfriend got tacos and those were good, and we got fries too which we're good. As I said, the complaint is minor. I'll definitely come again when I'm back in the area and recommend you check it out, too!
It's a little out of the city and it may close at 22:00 most days but it's a great location to hang out with friends, have a drink or two and socialize. Dogs are welcomed and the crowd is friendly. There is open space for children to run around and beers that are tasty to most people palates.
We went there for a stop on the way to New Jersey. First important point, it is right off route 88. The GPS had us going thru neighborhoods and curves roads that were totally unnecessary! The brewery was wonderful! It is an IPA dream! I, personally, am not an IPA fan but I love fruit beers. The bartender had me taste several, based on her recommendation and she picked a perfect one for me... a fruity IPA sour. Surprised for sure but very grateful! Food is ordered from a food truck outside. The good was only good, not as excellent as the beer, and a bit pricey... $21 for a burger and a quesadilla with no sides. I read other google reviews and I think that for the size of the brewery, a busy evening of food ordering could be a very long wait. We arrived at 12:00 and we were back in the road by 1:20. Well worth the stop but watch what time you arrive especially if you are in a hurry. I liked that they offered free sunscreen and they are pet friendly.
We LOVED the holiday decorations. So beautiful! The beer was good and the staff was very friendly. Two suggestions: putting the beer tap nozzle into the glass while pouring, allowing the tap to go into the beer is not sanitary! This happened many times while we were there. The bacteria possibility is not good. I think that is bartender 101 lesson. In addition, what appeared to be a manager sat at the end of the bar for the entire time we were there (at least two hours). She was giving orders to the staff, working on paper work and the computer and gave the feel that she was micromanaging from the bar stool. Not a professional feel. Why isn't that done in an office, away from customers? We love the atmosphere but a few observations made us skeptical.
Stopped in while visiting family in Binghamton. There is a fine array and selection of the beers offered. The food was good too. I wasn’t a big fan of the tall guy with huge muscles and tattoos that took our order, because he came off rude and impatient towards those of us whom it was our first time at this establishment. Food came out pretty quickly and, unlike other reviews, I didn’t mind the finding your own spot and going up to place our order.
This place is extremely busy! The biggest parking lot I've ever seen at a brewery 😱 Food is 👍🏻 excellent!😋 It's a unique service idea because you go to the bar and place your order with your table number. #️⃣ You don't have to wait for a server. 💁🏻♂️It's a pretty neat idea. 🤯You want something? You get up and go order it, and it appears at your table! They have a hundred tables! 😳 Oh, and did I mention the beers?🍺 They are all good. They are all unique.
Too crowded, but worth it. It’s really hard to find a table on weekends, but finally managed to find one. They have unique selection of beers. Ordered some beers, and food. It took us one hr to get food. They have really great ambience, and there is a band playing outdoor. We found table on the indoor seating, not so good table to sit and enjoy. Ordered a bunch of food items, food is not soo great, but manageable. On the outside they gave, rolled ice cream which they are making infront of us, it costs $6 only cash. Tastes good. This is the kind of place where all ages of people can come and enjoy.
We are local and stop by frequently. We, obviously, come for the brews which are consistent with many new offerings. The service is very good, vastly improved over the years. The food remains inconsistent. We stay with the "safe" bets where food items are concerned, such as quesadillas, burgers and fries. Brunch items are usually safe. Issues lie with the tacos which might be great or might be a greasy soggy mess. I'm not willing to try the chicken again after having it arrive chared too many times; however, my husband ordered the chicken and waffles just yesterday. The chicken was perfection. The waffle was not even edible. Hard as a rock. I think the food could continue to improve, but only if guest could give immediate feedback. Nobody ever stops by the table to ask how things are. Our Beer Tree might try s little quality control by asking their customers, "How was everything?"
Beautiful place with nice outdoor seating plus high rustic ceilings indoors. Service is fine. They usually have mostly IPA's or other fruity beers. Wish they had more traditional varieties more often, When they make an Oktoberfest or Altbier, it usually disappears quickly, since many of us are getting tired of the hop wars.
The place is GORGEOUS. The food is decent. The beer is hit or miss. They used to have terrible beer, but it has gotten much better over the years. I would give it 5 stars, but their customer service is not good. We ordered food and waited over an hour and started asking where it was. Finally cancelled the order. Didn’t get a real apology and the manager needed to get a course in people skills. Go there for the atmosphere and really not much else.
Beautiful venue, excellent beer, delicious food. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired or else this would have easily been a 5 star review. The staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other most of the time. They made no attempt to be attentive or welcoming to guests. They also cursed a lot, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but it was over the top and there were kids around. There’s no table service and yet a 20% tip is added by default unless you manually change it. All of this soured what would have been a great brewery experience otherwise.
The good: this place does hazy IPAs really well. It's a neat atmosphere, especially if you can sit outside. The indoor seating is extremely loud. The not good: food is pricey for what you get. $16 for what amounts to a basic beef sandwich with chips? No thanks. Also, our food was served cold. Their other beer styles seem to pale (no pun intended) in comparison to the hazy IPAs. We always go back, but from now on it's only to drink and hang out. Also want to mention that service is always nice. Good people here.
I enjoy Beer Tree every once in a while. I go to the factory location more frequently than the farm. I forget that the service is more diy here. The lack of seating plans just seating yourself is a bit uncomfortable, you just wander around and hope the people that are clearly finished will leave but then they don’t. We sat at the bar to avoid that. I wish I ordered the chicken sandwich. My boyfriend got the burger, he enjoyed it. I got the tacos. I don’t know why I did that to myself, they are tiny and they just break apart in your hand and all over your plate because of the sauce or grease from the filling. I’m sure I would’ve been delighted with a chicken sandwich. Think hard before you come here and order anything other than a chicken sandwich, a burger, or pizza.
Have to order food and drink at a station and let someone bring to you at your tables number. I ordered a small chicken nacho plate it wasn't my cup of tea. Had more toppings than lt had chicken in my opinion so it was a bit overkill for me. I really didn't like it. It was cold as well. Service was quick. And atmosphere was nice. Prices seemed.a.tad high to me.
The pictures of the place looked so good I had to check it out, but needless to say, I was disappointed something fierce. Do you want to order food? You have to go to their website and look at the menu there. No paper menus are available. Also, you have to find your own table. You need to do that before you can order food, but with a counter as soon as you come in, you wouldn't think that was the case. But it is. And it's the most inefficient thing I can imagine for real paying customers. Then, they go a step further. There is no server. Just someone brings out your food to you on PAPER PLATES. Nothing to make those tacos you ordered feel like the cheapest thing than putting them on paper plates! And the quality of the food? Meh. Nice concept on paper, but the food we received wasn't even hot. It was lukewarm at best. This is another downfall of putting food on paper plates. It doesn't hold any heat for the food. Sure, they want to make things easier on their staff perhaps, but what am I even paying for at that point? The atmosphere is nice, aside from negligent parents letting their kids run around the dining area like a playground. TL;DR: find your own table, no paper menus available, mediocre lukewarm food served to you on paper plates, and no one seems to watch their kids as they terrorize the dining hall. Would not recommend. Should have gone to my actual favorite in that area.
I think the lack of competition in the area definitely makes this place a cash cow. They have a lot of events and it’s a great place to take the kids and let them run. However. The food is not good. And neither is the beer. The food is over (foxy) sauced and dry at the same time. I respect that they’re trying to do something different, but their menu development needs some help. I’d say that’s true across Batch and Factory as well. I haven’t tried Downtown. When there is entertainment, the volume is uncomfortably loud. Even all the hard surfaces inside when there’s no entertainment makes it difficult to have a conversation. Can’t escape to outside really either, as there is no cover in the field and the shaded tables on the patio are limited and always full. Good for them for cornering the market. We still go fairly often, but only as much as we can bear to consume the fried chicken sandwich, which is the only consistently good item they offer.
So disappointed. Planned a dinner here and when we went in the main dining area was closed for a special event. It was thundering and sprinkling so eating outside was out of the question. So much for a Saturday evening meal.
Terrible service! Order came to table wrong and was practically tossed at us (burgers) no condiments offered/available. Entire staff either ignored us or acted like it was a bother to wait on us. Never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Had to pick a table and then go to bar to order where there was very dim lighting which made menu hard to read. Don’t waste your time or $
Very nice place but managed very poorly... you have to wait in one line to get beer and in another line to get food. If you wish to get more beer guess what? You have to wait again... more food? You know what to do.... And the line goes to the parking lot... I come on week days only... Management wake up please
Great beer. Don't bother with the food. Seriously stop in and have a beer. Order food at your own risk. If there are more than 5 tables with those little number signs sitting on then your wait for your good could exceed 30-40 minutes. We gave up on food and got our money back. Dealt with uncaring manger and left.
You know as a local ive tried this spot several times over the years the beers are good. The food quality is terrible after a recent re visit i doubt ill ever return that is a shame as its so close by ill upload a picture of this absolutely old guacamole they served at a 3$ upcharge i might add needless to say we are not happy i dont recommend any food drinks are fine atmosphere is on point lovely looking place .
