Great throwback burger joint. Not cheap, but real flame grilled burgers and the owner is super friendly. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite.

We come here fairly frequently when we find ourselves near Port Jervis. Everything about this place is an easy good experience. My husband discovered Danny D’s from a ranking of best burgers in out of the way places (we can’t remember which one). He tested it out alone first because he knows how picky I can be. The service is perfect and I felt they were really conscientious when we told them that my husband had to be gluten free. The potato chips are handmade while you wait. The cheese fries are full of toppings and are thin shoestring potatoes which soak up the cheese. The smash burger has everything that I would put on a burger so I don’t switch my order. My husband tells me that all of the other burgers are great. It’s just a nice easy place to go for a predictably good meal.

There are a lot of different burgers that all look great (smash burgers, stuffed burgers, specialty burgers). I had the stuffed Chili cheese burger, and it was awesome. They have a bunch of games for the kids (NBA JAM, Mortal Kombat, PAC-MAN, BIG BUCK HUNTER). A lot of fun and ice cream was great, too.

The boozy milkshakes are the best things on the planet. Kristy literally understands flavor and how to make a milkshake like no other! The food is also amazing. The Mac and cheese is just as unique and I always have a great chat when I’m here.

This place is so great! It’s clean - the food is great there are games for the kids and adults to play together, or for the kids so the adults can talk. I recommend the build your own double burger, the mozzarella wedges and the Mac and cheese. All tasty and comforting and exactly what you want when you’re looking for a classic burger! It’s not hit or miss. It’s spot on. Can’t wait to go back. This is our second time and again everything we ordered was perfect!!

Just found this place and it is an absolute vibe! I got their big mama burger with a side of their garlic parm fries. 100000/10!!! The burger was so juicy and so tasty. Fries were coated well. They have fun arcade game for FREE! Definitely kept me entertained while I waited. My new favorite spot will be back soon.

This place is so cute are you kidding me?? It’s exactly what you want upstate. Classic 1950s diner atmosphere complete with a game room. The food is the star, though; not your typical diner fare in that it’s standout food, best smash burger I’ve ever had and wonderful buffalo chicken fries. Our server Mama D was patient and sweet. Highly recommend!

What’s Danny D’s last Saturday for lunch with a girlfriend. It was close by and delicious. We don’t have very many decent restaurants in this area so I am happy to have them. The hamburger was excellent, and the onion rings were probably some of the best onion rings I ever had. The service was great, courteous, respectful, and fast. Highly recommend I will be going back.

Stopped in because I drive by daily, and let me tell you that the vibe is great,the food is amazing,and the service was top notch..do yourself a favor and check this place out,it won't dissapoint...kudos to danny d ,you hit a homerun !! Hands down this is the premier burger joint for the area. Their onion rings are perfect variety of fries (the disco fries are incredible) the shakes are perfect and the service is incredible. The atmosphere is very 50’s great mystic with games for kids to play (they’re free by the way) go enjoy and hang out (they’re free built the place out for that)

Danny D's is a true hidden gem. The food is absolutely incredible, and the staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever met in food service. They are incredibly accommodating and welcoming, and the whole vibe of the restaurant is fantastic. It's a 50's themed diner with a modern flair that points to its nostalgia. While I do enjoy the dedication to the time period, the food is truly on another level. Even if Danny D's looked like a run down hole in the wall, I'd still be going back as often as I could just based off the food quality alone. There is truly nothing like it in the tri-state area, and I'd be as bold as to say the country. The thought and care that went into developing the menu and their custom creations are nothing short of genius while still holding true to the classic Americana flavors. From the garlic parm mozzarella wedges as a starter, to the burger and fry frenzy main course, to a choice between a heaping bowl of ice cream or a boozy shake, their menu can't be topped. You're doing yourself a great disservice by not going exclusively to Danny D's.

The milkshakes are tiny, barely what I'd consider a small, and taste like the frozen pre-made shakes at Quick Check. With so many better shake options a few minutes away, I'd say avoid the milkshake. Burger & fries were top notch, highly recommended.
