Sam, the manager, was super helpful with my challenged adult stepdaughter. He couldn’t have been any kinder or more helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. The bathrooms are very clean. Can’t wait to go back!

Though the clientele may be rowdy, that does not stop the warm and welcoming employees of the fine establishment from being polite and catering. Management as well as cooks and servers are very polite. I had even wanted some spring rolls after the tray was gone and the manager had brought a plate of them hot and fresh for us and they were delicious. And the crab legs are spectacular

The food here is so good. I've been back twice now and it was stellar both times. Also, Mason, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. He is very personable and friendly; he really went above and beyond and answered any questions we had and made conversation too. We felt very welcome. I love this place big time. Edited to add: I can't believe I almost forgot to add this- one of us forgot our phones inside and Mason ran outside to find us and return the phone. I love that guy fr.

I’ve eat Chinese food all around the state and other states, as well, and I can say that this place has the most delicious Chinese food around, by far. I was kind of nervous at first due to the recent review of King Buffet ,and my previous experienced with Golden corral and the international buffet at the same building. I am amazed at the choices of seafood. The price is reasonable since they stay on top replenishing the food. Some of the seafood definitely have some authentic taste of Chinese food that you cannot find it anywhere in Dutchess. Overall, I am very impressed with the option of food and the quickness of replenishing the food. Hope this business can stay and maintain the quality. My family will definitely be back. I've been at the Hudson buffet for several years now. Then, King Buffet opened its doors, and I think it's a very good buffet. Now, I come to King Buffet often. Last week, I had to go to Walmart to buy something and decided to stop at Hudson Buffet to eat. Then, I realized how King Buffet is way better and cheaper than Hudson Buffet. I think people have been unfair since the buffet is fairly new, and if few people come, they can't have food running all day long. That would be a big waste of food. Now, I think they are even better than before and cheaper. Only $12 for lunch and $19 for dinner. The food is good, the service is good, and I totally recommend it. 👌🏽

I’ve wanted to try this buffet for a while because I drive by it all the time as many of us probably do as well. I finally took myself yesterday and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the food. The staff was excellent and I left with an unbothered happy stomach. Buffets these days have a bad wrap but this one is a local gem and should be visited if you’re looking for a munch’n.

My dad and I have been here twice so far and can't wait to go back. The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. I love the amount of seafood that is offered. Definitely worth the money.

My cousin and I went here for Christmas dinner. It was fabulous! The food choices were abundant. Fresh and tasty. My favorites were the coconut shrimp and the salmon. All kinds of deliciousness. It was busy for being Christmas day. Great value at $19.99 for all day dinner special. Staff was so friendly and efficient. I will absolutely dine here again!

Went for a quick dinner as a party of 4 and 1 baby. The owner sat us away from folks and gave us plenty of room on the side for my baby. The selection and quality of the seafood was more than I remembered from the first time I visited. My family and I really enjoyed the whole meal. The waitress attending to us was so kind and lovely. I highly recommend this buffet.

First time here and I was impressed. There is a wide variety of food. Including lots of seafood. You also notice everything is clean. The size of the place may not give it coziness, but this is a great buffet value wise. I don’t understand all the negative reviews. Either they are from competitors or they have very unrealistic expectations of all you can eat Chinese buffets. People go to Chinese buffets as an affordable guilty pleasure. Don’t expect a Michelin experience.

The buffet was adequate just felt like there was a lot of chicken dishes a few shrimp options and the rest sides which was OK and they had a cool selection of desserts like coconut cake and macaroon a lot of fresh fruit and even ice cream in cups. Don't get me wrong the chicken dishes were spectacular like the lemon pepper wings or sesame chicken I would suggest another pork dish beside BBQ pork or a beef dish but I was there for lunch so I guess they bring them out at night. The staff was so courteous and pleasant not afraid to help you with anything you needed.

My waitress Coco was excellent especially with my three young grandchildren. I would recommend coming here any day the food is fabulous.

I went today for lunch and I was extremely impressed. I went in and upfront, I asked the gentleman I believe to have been the owner if it truly was just majorly seafood and he said please, by all means come in look around and come back when you decide if you want to eat. I was impressed by that. I did walk through and to my surprise and delight. It was a lot of variety of Chinese food and some American so I went ahead and stayed for lunch and the food was really really good. You can go as often as you’d like, and the best part at least for the kid and me was as we were leaving. He told us to make sure we took some ice cream, which was all in a nice sanitary container by the door.

The experience was amazing and they have different options of food. They have a really good choices on sea food. Everything is so freshy! 😋

King Buffet in Poughkeepsie brings me back. My family owned Chinese buffets growing up, so I have a soft spot for places like this. The food is your standard Chinese-American buffet fare—nothing over the top, but familiar and comforting. Most of the items are fresh, and at $12.99 for the lunch buffet, it’s a solid deal. Service is fast, and it’s perfect if you’re short on time and just need a no-frills, satisfying meal. Nostalgic and dependable—can’t ask for much more at that price.

My first time at King Buffet was on Thursday, March 21, 2024. I was in the area, on a business trip, and this place was very close to the hotel at which I was staying. I was very impressed with how reasonable the prices are, as well as how attentive the staff is. My server, Joe, was very professional and very attentive. Although the vast majority of the fare is Chinese food, there are some other offerings, such as mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. There is a lot of seafood, and when I visited I noticed a strong aroma of seafood wafting through the establishment. Those of you who are extra sensitive to aromas, take heed. I enjoyed my food, as well as the desserts, not to mention a good, strong cup of coffee, very much. I look forward to returning the next time I AM in the area.

Just visited Kings Buffet with my wife, and my parents. A lot better than International Buffet. The staff were very friendly and making sure everything is clean. For the Food, it could be better. But hey, this place is new and trying, and we did leave a big tip. Other than that, this place is pretty decent! In addition, As I was eating, I see Everyone else enjoying the time there! I would go here again with friends and family. Great Job King Buffet, and I thank the staff for being very friendly!

Were I able, I’d give their food 4 and a half stars but half stars wasn’t an option and to take it a step further, I’d give an overall review of 3.75 out of 4. That would be the fairest grade that I could give. Sammy was an incredibly accommodating host and our waiter Jason was much the same. Our group was a party of eight plus a baby so we were a handful. All of our requests were answered and everything went smoothly. We felt that all of the dishes we tried were seasoned just right and that the selections were adequate for the $24.99 dinner price tag. The one gripe we did have was that the plain crab legs were cold (Try their wonton soup by the way. It’s quite good). Sammy, the manager remedied this by having our waiter reheat them which did the trick. Another is that the sushi could’ve been a bit fresher. It wasn’t spoiled or anything, just a little stiff from sitting out atop a cold plate. I’m sure that in the near future we will be coming back. One of my sisters came all the way from Waterbury, Connecticut with her husband to join us so her expectations were high. It’s safe to say that they were happy with their experience and are looking forward to a return trip. I really hope that the third time (for this particular location) is the charm for this place as it’s two predecessors Golden Corral and International Buffet both failed miserably. I hope Sammy, Jason and company remain here for years to come. It really was a great place to ring-in the New Year. Thank you Sammy and Jason. Thank you King Buffet staff. You were great.

It's your typical Asian buffet. Some hits, some misses. If you aren't there for the seafood, best deal is at lunch. Staff is very friendly. The bourbon chicken is actually really good (they make it at the grill station and it's very fresh). The black pepper chicken is very good as well.

There's always gid for and if sunsetting is running out, you can ask for new, fresh. And dine forget to get your ice cream before you leave!

In terms of food quality, it’s standard Asian buffet goodness. Service is very good, happy workers and very attentive which makes for a pleasant environment. Extremely clean as well. The price is $23 for weekday dinner which is a bit high. For that price, you’ll get enough from a chain restaurant to have a second meal (which is higher quality). Not sure if I’ll come back because of that, maybe if it was $18 for weekday dinner. Overall it’s solid, worth at least one try for the pleasant service alone. Also, I would recommend keeping soy sauce bottles at each table for convenience. I am a big fan of when buffets do that.

I enjoyed taking my kids here, the atmosphere while a little too bright, was open and airy and a new kind of set up than most buffets. The waitress was very kind and sweet to my kids. The food however was not good. Maybe it was just because they are just starting out but I did not enjoy any of the food, and of course it's a buffet so I tried many different things. I hate to make a bad review, so I'm giving it 4 stars, mostly because it was very clean and the staff was so friendly. I'm not sure whether I can recommend eating there though.

This buffet is the perfect place for a seafood lover. Not only do they have high quality sushi, crab legs and steaks, but everything is endless! While visiting I tried everything. I highly recommend their coconut shrimp, pepper chicken, steak and grilled shrimp. I will say their dessert section could use some work but let's face it, who actually has room for that? I loved trying new foods it's not easy to find in this area, the stone crab and frog legs were good too. My boyfriend absolutely loves all things spicy and he was impressed with the flavor and variety of food they have here. I will definitely be coming back with friends. However service could definitely use some touching up and the bathrooms were a bit too dirty for my liking. All said and done I definitely recommend this place.

Wife and I came here on labor day around 5pm. Wasn't busy at all. We saw all the poor reviews about them not having trays full of food and food being over cooked and cold. Every try was filled to the brim even by the time we left it was much busier. The only thing I did notice that some of the seafood was kind of cold but since it was just mainly shrimp and snow crab legs that wasn't really a big deal for us. All the Chinese food was hot though. We didn't get any of the Sushi but it didn't really look that great tbh. Chinese food was great like the beef and broccoli/chicken and broccoli, Lo mein, beef spare ribs, and fried chicken wings etc. they had butterfly shrimp with garlic which was really good along with salt and pepper crab $ calamari. The snow crab legs kept getting refilled in a timely manner and my wife and I had 3+ plates. The staff was nice. The only food that we didn't care for was the food in the center by the grill where they had fried shrimp, broiled shrimp, steak, and chicken. The steak looked good but was really tough and had absolutely no flavor. My wife did try the bourbon chicken and said it was good. Bill came to $68 with tip. The manager was really nice too as we were leaving he insisted that we take a small ice cream cup with us even though we were beyond full. Everybody that lives in the area as well aware of this place and the Hudson buffet in Fishkill and I have to say that the king buffet in Poughkeepsie is decades ahead of the Hudson buffet.. The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to use heat lamps instead of LEDs keep the food a little bit warmer but like I said it wasn't really that bad as most people were making it out to be.

Lots of variety on the savory foods. Also quite spacious so you’re not tackling people for food. The sushi bar is nice but they’ve cut back on the selection and sashimi isn’t always available. The dessert options bad. Would be great to see a hibachi here.

Overall decent place, the number of ppl coming and going g was pretty impressive. The selection was good and they dont have tons out getting dry and going to waste. The service was good they were ready tk clear plates before u were done and kept refills going atmosphere can use some help

We love the one in Cortlandt Manor, discovered it was the same owners and decided to give it a try. Great selection of seafood and dinner items. Overall we were happy with the food and the taste but… WE WANT HOT CRAB LEGS! It’s a staple in the other location and this one is missing that element even though they did have cold crab legs it’s not the same We will be back though!!!

I recommend this place. If you like seafood I recommend the dinner version. Clams oyster crab and shrimp. (They should space out the premium dishes because it causes a traffic jam when everyone triesto get some)The dinner roast beef and steak were a pass for me. (Dry) I found the cooked Chinese food was of good quality. The buffet was clean and the staff were constantly on the go. I tried to find a price before I went and was unable. Didn't see it inside until I got the bill. So I'll include it here. 29 before tip including soda. For dinner.

Stopped in to try it! Requested a sushi roll type that wasn't prepared on the buffet and they made it fresh and an entire roll! Tons of seafood if that's your thing. Place appears clean. There is some communication gap which may come off as rude but they are actually nice. Some items were good and others were average. Didn't try most of the seafood due to concerns of food poisoning. They do have a wide variety of cooked items. I can't complain much for $14 lunch buffet.

For the price of $25 per person dinner you can't go wrong, it isn't top notch but descent. If you complain then your to picky. You pay for drink separately on your bill. The atmosphere is sort of cafeteria feel no real ambiance, you come in you eat then pay then leave, no frills place. Again where do you eat 30 different kinds of food for $25 these days.

No steamed clams as pictured. Will try to another visit after spring. Hopefully they will have them, and their seafood (crab and lobster) will be fresher. Crab legs, crab, and lobster all almost had a fishy taste. Which any experienced seafood lover knows is the first sign of the product not being fresh. The price is a great deal, and service was great.

The food was good, some food was cold that should have been hot. The server filled cups of soda with water. The part that disturbed me as a customer was that the guy with the check stood over us, waiting for us to decide amongst our party if we were going to tip him. When I reached into my purse for cash, he extended his hand, unacceptable! I will not be returning!

It’s a buffet, so what can you really say? The food is decent and since opening they are getting better. The atmosphere is a bit lacking, but if they made it feel a little more homey and less like a hospital cafeteria, it would be a nice improvement. The staff are very friendly which is a good thing. It is a huge improvement from the people who ran the first chain buffet restaurant into the ground. I don’t even know how that was possible, but fights in the dining room and constant visits from the Dept of Health will do that I guess?

I really wanted to love this place because it’s new and closer to our home. I’m from MD so being in an area without many buffets is weird. This place needs a bit more work: it was cold in there with outside temps at about 37° and the bathrooms need to be a bit more clean. The food needs more seasoning. There should be more vegetable and salad options. It’s a bit overpriced for the limited menu. It’s this beautifully sized space but should be welcoming and decorative. The staff is kind. We loved the chicken and mushrooms. But I don’t seeing us coming back for a while. This seemed like a rushed opening without much consideration for the customers.

I can only give a 3star. I mainly wanted to come for the Crab legs(my favorite). But...Crab legs should be on a HOT bar not ice cold. My crab tasted like it was precooked and frozen(it was still hard) then thrown in plain hot water to thaw. It was very disappointing. I tried to explain to worker behind the counter but either she didn't understand or didn't really care. Now I'm on the fence.. Do I come again and this time bring a bunch of friends or go somewhere else.. I'd really enjoy some HOT crab legs!!

Very large space with various food options. Not many vegan or vegetarian options; I only could eat low mein, mushrooms, friend rice, and green beans. I wish they had a tofu option! Overall friendly staff and very clean space.

Had lunch with my grandson 11/27/24. The only thing that was hot was the soup. We would wait for hot food to come out and it was only the foods that were simple and cheap to make like the lo mein, cabbage, and sushi. The sweet and sour shrimp was mostly the breading around the shrimp. Then it came time to pay and I gave him a coupon and he said oh no we don't take coupons anymore???? We went back and forth and all he would say it's on the door! I paid then looked on the door. . . . If it was the same size print as the prices for kids adults lunch and dinner maybe you would notice it but it's not even close. Always liked going to Fishkill to Hudson Buffet, never a bad meal. Been here 3 times and will no longer be coming back

We sat in a cubicle and were given cold food. Once I let them know they were quick to remedy the situation but my whole meal was cold and just subpar. I'll stick to the wonderful buffet on my own side of the river from now on. Bigger, more variety, and always hot!!

Cream on top of desserts was sour. Other desserts were stale. Food was kept warm for too long, so items were tough to eat, crunchy, hard, and also stale. Went there for a 45-minute dinner, and only one half tray of crab legs were put out in that time. Not much else was refreshed either. *Edit: This establishment is no longer in business.

I ended up here because I couldn’t decide which fried food or pizza spot I wanted to order from on DoorDash and it was walking distance from the Hampton Inn hotel I’m staying. That being said, the food is very mediocre. Not bad, not great but edible. As others said some of the food was barely warm and other stuff nice and hot. One of the biggest turnoffs for me and the biggest reason I won’t be back is that I smelled cigarette smoke coming from the kitchen. As soon as I smelled that I decided it was time to leave. The best part of the experience was the service. Very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately that’s not enough to bring me back next time I’m in the area. Texas road house is just a few more steps away and definitely better food.

My daughter and I decided to try King Buffet in Poughkeepsie today. The sign on the door said lunch $9.99 until 3:30. We checked our time it was before 2:00. When we got our bill it was $12.99 each for lunch. When I questioned the waitress and asked about the sign on the door, she came back with a handwritten paper stating lunch price is $12.99 dinner is $24.99 soda is $2.69. When I got up to pay, I realized they actually took the sign down. They were so polite thinking they were getting over. $6 is not worth the argument in my life. I hope being dishonest over $6 is worth losing business for them. I’ve told my friends and family. I personally will NEVER step a foot in there again!! Bedsides being ripped off, the staff appeared to be nice and polite in your face. Obviously not honest because the waitress and man at the register took the sign down and charged us more than advertised. The food was mostly overcooked and not seasoned. I tried two plates of various food sending most of the food back. I do not like wasting food so we stopped at two tries. I am very disappointed in the dishonesty more than the food.

Worse experience ever!! I would not recommend for anyone to go there, bathroom was disgusting, broken toilet seats, our waiter cleaned utensils with a dirty rag he was cleaning the tables with in a dirty bucket with water. We got sat right in front of there station and gross me out on how dirty and unclean this place was. On top of that food was stale, especially rice and noodles. Plates were still dirty as well. Once we got out check the waiter just stood there waiting for his tip making us tip him right there. It was awkward and disgusting

Food was disgusting had to beg to get fresh foods on the buffet. Dinner was $27.44. Basics Sweet and sour chicken was undercooked and I'm not entirely sure it was chicken if I'm honest. Pork fried egg rolls were the only thing, that actually tasted good. I recommend you save your money and eat some where else

This was the worst food and stupid expensive for what it was. Save your money and go to Texas roadhouse. Atleast you get edible food for the cost. Will not go there again. Pretty sure rotten garbage tastes better.id give a negative number if it was possible

Xin Li’s review was no joke. I thought he was exaggerating, he wasn’t. I came here with a few friends for dinner. We all left unsatisfied and hungry, and considering it’s an all you can eat buffet that says a lot. The rice was hard and crunchy in some spots and cooked in others, meats and most of the food was cold in the center or just cold in general. Me and my friends couldn’t talk for more than a minute without staff members asking us if we needed anything, (I understand they’re just checking in, but every damn minute) there was staff standing near our table the entire time. The entire time you’re there the staff watch you. A staff member got close to our table, looked at us, and then walked away without saying a word. The lady working the podium stared at us and gave us wierd looks the entire time we were eating. We all felt sick the rest of the day after eating there. For the love of god, if you love your friends and family DO NOT bring them here, they may never forgive you for bringing them here. This was the saddest dinner I’ve had in a while.

DO NOT GO HERE. Worst food experience of my life. Terrible selection none of the food tasted like what it should. Fake shrimp and microwaved food. Workers were eating off the buffet trays AS I was trying to get for myself. Sushi selection was warm and horrendous. Smelled like a public bathroom and Nasty environment, and in the end we were chased down and demanded to tip when paying. Just save your time, your stomach and your money and go to McDonald’s for some real food.

The food was absolutely disgusting. Mac and cheese was like eating bad baby food. The crab legs had no taste. NO SOFT SERVE AT ALL. They have the ice cream you get in middle school in styrofoam which makes the whole thing taste like styrofoam. The pizza is just frozen pizza nothing special which was the only thing that made me full. Sushi seems like and taste like it was made in morning and left out all day. there is a much better buffet right up the street abt 10 mins. The service was good except the part where they stood over me watching right out the tip. And watch us eat our food otherwise it’s perfect if you wanna waste your money. There isn’t much more to say if I could rate it Lower I would. I fully expect to get food poisoning tomorrow morning

I have been there three times the first two times were OK. The last time nothing tasted right. The chicken was soaking in sauce, but it was still so dry. The shrimp was overcooked. The only good thing was the service was fast.

first of all the food there was so bad the salmon there was dry and stiff, the chicken was hard, the ice cream had only tasted like the foam, the only thing that was good was the chicken wings. second of all the staff kept looking at me i dont know why i was just eating in peace and everytime i look at them theyre already staring at me even when i was up. third of all there was flies on the sushi when i went up to get some and there was flies on my food at the table and i was bothered by that a lot. 4th of all i actually thought this place was gonna be really good because it was new and it seemed like a big place, also theres not too many options of food and its like filled with seats with not too many food. lastly i left hungry.

First time in my life I have left a buffet hungry. More than half of the hot food trays were empty, and whatever they did have out was COLD. Not luke warm, cold. Most of the trays were near empty and looked so dried out I didn’t even bother touching it. Food being hot is literally the only expectation I have when trying somewhere new, and this place was absolutely appalling. Health Department needs to pay a visit and I will definitely be making a report. Serving food that isn’t at temperature not only can it make someone sick, it can land them in the hospital. It’s sad that this business doesn’t care enough about their customers to keep food at a legal and safe temperature, and I will definitely not be returning. Extremely disgusted and disappointed.

Food was not of the same quality as other visits. Service was poor as had to look for waitress to ask for our first drinks and then another time for refill. Food was barely warm and seemed more like alot of the items may have been leftover from previous night. We had gone early afternoon so it may have been. When paying bill asked if restaurant had changed hands and the answer was yes....new owners. Will not be going back.

Was in Poughkeepsie for an appointment and decided to check this place out because it was right around the corner. You have to learn one way or another and we learned. Absolutely never doing that again. The food was horrendous. $20 pp for garbage. What was there was cold. None of the food labels matched what was actually there so people with allergies beware. It should have stayed a golden corral.

Went in at around 4:55 with my son. What a mistake. All the food was left over from luch. Most of it was stale, hard or awfully like the fried rice. They charged us $51.00 for dinner even that they didn't have any dinner only food out. Very disappointed to have paid $51.00 for food that was heated a few times.

Where do I start, all around a pretty poor experience. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that it looked like a high school cafeteria inside which was instantly a little off putting. The food options shown online were not available for example no crawfish. The photos of food online were misleading, the crab legs were tiny and felt/tasted like imitation crab. The salt and pepper crab looked old and rotten. The various meat options salmon, steak and shrimp were overcooked and rubbery/tasteless. The waitress came to the table one time to refill our waters and by the time we left there were empty plates and empty water cups. The waitress came looking for us when I took my girlfriend over to the bathrooms because she had to throw up but didn’t bother to clear the table or fill our waters. I told the man who seemed to be the manager or owner that the food made me and my girlfriend sick and we didn’t want to pay for it(seems like a reasonable request or at least I thought it was) He told us we had to pay and would give us a discount. A whopping $5 off for giving us food poisoning I wouldn’t even complain if they could give us our money back. I went back inside to speak to the manager and was told all he could do was give us half off. Meanwhile my girlfriend was throwing up in the parking lot. Unacceptable all around would not recommend coming here at all unless there are some serious changes made.

The waiter was very rude won’t give a refill on the drinks when we asked. When we got the bill she snatched the bill with the money. I have told the manager and he did nothing about it at all. The food wasn’t all that great. You can tell that food was sitting out there for some time. King Buffet on south road it was my first time going there and it would be my last

Been here a few times but this was by far the worst experience. Place has gone downhill unfortunately. The food has always been lukewarm but I pushed past that previously. This time the food was cold, some parts hard and/or very soggy, overall inedible. Very unappetizing. I watched a few workers move the old, soggy food into new pans instead of just making a new batch... at checkout they still asked for a tip (only got 2 waters and never saw my waitress, who am I tipping then??).. beware- tap water tastes like it's from a well

Terrible first off they offer soda in which they falsely imply it's included with the meal then charge you for it. I tried 3 different types of chicken ALL 3 were ice cold, vermicelli noodles were ice cold, overall the quality of the food was poor at best. French fries were ice cold and not fresh at all tasted like yesterday's fries terrible again. Wontons were discolored, again like the were sitting for a day or two not fresh at all. Basically most of what I tried was poor quality. Next up the condescending stares like I was an alien. I'd never return after my terrible first experience here! 👎👎👎👎👎

Visited for first time on a Wednesday about a week or two ago. The place was immaculate. We went for an early dinner. Not many people were there. Everything was extremely hot. Large variety of food especially fish. Tried most of the food with crab pulled out mixed with celery and some kind of sauce. Did not try any of the meats. I barely made it home when I had the worse case of diarrhea I have ever experienced. Never made it to my bathroom but when I did, I never left for several hours with no exaggeration. Worst experience ever and I highly recommend that the Health Department make a visit. Who knows where the fish and other stuff come from but I will never let that happen to myself again. I called the person I was with the next day. She fortunately made it home living closer than me but had the exact same experience

I was there at prime time dinner on Sunday, Food was either cold hard or just didn't taste good. Lots of crab legs but they were very cold sesame balls were phenomenal but there were very few other dishes that I took another bite from the first one was enough to know. Not a huge selection. Service was excellent tho! Definitely not worth $25 for sure!

Let's just say we left hungry the food was cold, chicken was like you can play hockey or baseball with it the steak bites you could put them in a wood stove hard as a rock the potatoes could have been poured in a cup and pretend it was a milk shake no flavor to anything it was just disgusting! And still was charged 68 dollars even after complaining. The only good thing was walking out the door.

Tables were cramped and set close, I felt sick after eating there.The lo mein was dried out, the food left in heating trays all day. You only get one ice cream or you have to pay for the extra. And waitresses were rude about it. $21.99 per person! We’re never going again.

Will not be back. My wife and I stopped by Saturday night for a quick dinner. Within an hour after eating I began to feel hot and nauseous. The next day I still felt awful and ate nothing all day. That evening, now Sunday, I couldn't stay off the toilet. Literally exploding from both ends. It's now Monday morning and still can't stay off the toilet bowl. Hoping it's just simple food poisoning and not something worse.

First time stopping at King Buffet. Reminds me of the all you-can-eat buffets at the casino; I’m undecided if I’ll come back. For starters, I despise blatant examples of racism (everyone working here looks to be of Asian decent. Why do our elected representatives NEVER talk about these types of blatant examples of racism in society? Am I to believe that not a a single black, white or Spanish person applied or that a language barrier is to blame for their hiring policies? Whatever. Next, most of my food was cool or cold (I even tried to pull from the bottom of the pile). Some of the food looked so old I didn’t dare try it. The crawfish had no taste. Sushi tasted bad (hopefully I don’t get sick). Sweet and sour chicken was hard. Chinese donuts were hard as a rock, I couldn’t even crush it with my fingers, and there was something in the bottom of my drink. Still, the variety was excellent. Lastly I should mention the price...I’m asking myself if this experience was worth $22.99? UPDATE: December 25, 2023 I decided to give Kings Buffet a second chance. I went back Christmas night and the food looked fresh, tasted fresh and my food was hot. My interpretation is that buffets are better when their crowded, because more foot traffic means quicker turn over of the food (it’s fresher and hotter). (UPDATE) March 7, 2025 Third time here. Food is cold to room temperature. Not sure how they get away with that? The safe play here is to NOT come in when the parking lot is empty because they’re not turning over the food fast enough. (UPDATE) June 14, 2025 Fourth and last time ever. Same as last time, food was cold. My stomachs also been messed up since eating here four days ago. I’m done. Never going back.

Had high hopes based on outside but so disappointed once inside. Went for lunch which was about $16.85 Food selection was limited compared to Chinese buffets in Newburgh and Kingston. Pretty much all the food was room temperature not Hot and not Cold. Not sure why that was when I see steam coming from some trays. Staff running around but kinda in chaos and no real reason. I remember when it was a Golden Corral when it had opened. Overall I would not come back nor would I recommend.
