We had a great server. Savannah was very attentive and professional as well as knowledgeable about the menu and assisted us with making our choices. Very professional. Thanks
My friend and I randomly decided to grab some food at Lucille's since we were craving for BBQ. The place was packed. We waited for exactly 1 hr to be seated. The waiting was long but that didn't stop us for having some BBQ. Let me just say, the service was good. Our server named Mitchell was very friendly and very helpful. Overall, the food was the bomb. We went for baby back ribs. Yummy
The food was amazing the staff were great Julian helped me out alot with great seating and recomended some great food items that i tried and it was all delicious i will defently come back and eat Lucielle's again
If you're ever in Victoria gardens in Rancho cucamonga please stop by this place, their food is definitely worth the drive and worth the price. Their food is a little pricey but honestly nothing you wouldn't expect from a well known, well renoun place to eat. Its amazing to the utmost expectations. I cannot say anything bad about this place, it meets all my cravings for a great bbq spot. Your taste buds will thank you for it! Their customer service Is great and they always are patient and awaiting your needs, their very prompt and timely and do not constantly bother u mid-bite of food. All I can say is great job everyone and thank you all for your excellence and definitely will come back for more!
Visited this restaurant for lunch with a small group. Waiting time was minimal and hostess was pleasant. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp, greens, mac and cheese and spent about $25 per guest for a party of 4. The meal was delicious. Greens were spicy, but great. Skipped dessert but will try something next visit. This place is generally busy with wait times as much as two and a half hours. However, bring your appetite and patience to enjoy this place. Bon appetite!
Absolutely, love this place. Such good food, great music, great, classic tins and posters amazing staff. Unfortunately, the last time I was here was an anniversary with my ex so it'll be a while before I can come back.
It was my first time ever at a Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, the service was excellent, since we walked in we were welcomed with a smile. Our Waiter was very helpful and professional. The food was delicious, tasty and good portions. Restaurant very clean. Prices are affordable for the location. I loved the bread they gave us at the beginning. So delicious. Also the service was fast.
I’m amazed by the food quality and the staff. First time here. The waiter showed Me and explain me the menu. Once I ordered they brought some sweet bread which was amazing. Then food arrived within 5 minutes very fresh and testy. Once I was finished with my ribs they brought a warm towel to clean my hands it was a really good experience. I will come back again
Brunt ends were delicious not too fatty and great smoke flavor. Southern fried chicken sandwich was fried perfectly and juicy. Nashville cracklings wergood and sauce was great for dipping onion straws. Smoked chicken had great flavor and was fall off the bone. Deviled eggs were good but would have liked better if they had horseradish in them. Good service and great food will return as soon as possible.
Ove heard so many good things about this place. And I wanted to try it for myself...FINALLY. and omg... it did not disappoint! We ordered the feast meal that feeds 4-6 people... for just us 2 and our toddlers.. but we knew we were gonna take some home... we later took it home and had dinner with our neighbors and STILL had leftovers for the next day!!! Their portions are next level! And the flavor is just top notch! I will be coming back again!! This place is soooooooooo good and so worth it!
Bryson was an awesome server and super attentive our whole meal and made the experience amazing. The food was fantastic and came out super quick. Great experience overall.
First time here was definitely looking forward to it the food was amazing the service was top-notch had the barbecue brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. Everything was delicious, large quantities. Their biscuits with the apple butter delicious ordered the peach cobbler, sorry the main meal food was so good I forgot to take pictures Highly recommend this place
I highly recommend making a reservation for Lucille’s. We made a reservation for early Saturday evening and only waited a few minutes for our table. Once seated, our waiter was very attentive with our drink and food orders. I ordered the hot honey cauliflower bites, which had the perfect amount of breading and frying. And of course, we enjoyed the complimentary biscuits. This location is much better than other Lucille’s locations I’ve visited.
Lucille BBQ menu featured a wide variety of BBQ dishes that are flavorful and well-prepared. The ribs were tender, and the brisket was juicy. The sides, especially the mac and cheese, complemented the main dishes perfectly. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to dine with friends or family. Service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy some quality BBQ in Rancho Cucamonga
We walked in and just sat at the bar where we were acknowledged and greeted by Greta. She was very pleasant and attentive. The food was really good except my Hubby’s brisket was chewy. The other bartenders checked in on us a couple times as well which was really nice. The place was crowded but we didn’t wait too long for our food and Greta was so attentive she communicated everything with us. I heard her say to her coworker another customers food was taking a little long and to go check. We would definitely go back, we just won’t order the brisket.
Wasn't a big fan of the deviled eggs appetizer, not even counting the fact that it was brought out when we were almost done with our dinner. More and more I keep finding that restaurants don't understand what an appetizer is supposed to be. My jambalaya had good flavor but it also had a lot of gristle in it.
Jazmine so helpful and took great care of us. She was instantly there with hot biscuits, and made sure to help us pick from the big menu, or if we had a problem she was so attentive so we didn't have to ask for anything. Hot towels right on time was too much, I have to say thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to coming back
This place has a great atmosphere and great customer service. The staff is super nice. The food is Alittle expensive but to go here once in a blue moon is worth it. With food and drink your gonna spend atleast 25 bux a person. Food portion is like a medium size meal anywhere else but super fresh. The pulled pork sandwich was ok but flavor was different. The Nashville chicken sandwich was good but not great. Bloody Mary was on point. Will go here about 1 or times a year.
This was my first time coming here and although it was crowded, we had fast service. The food was phenomenal! I got the steakhouse tri tip dip and mt husband got the gumbo, which both were 10/10. I was in love, I will definitely be going back here again.
We’ve been to Lucille’s in West Covina and decided to try this one out for my brothers birthday since we love the ribs. Joey was an amazing server he was very attentive his personality really made out night. We appreciate his hospitality 10/10 service.
prices very reasonable for the amount of food. if you can eat in the bar great vibe compared to restaurant. They were short staffed and waitress did everything. she was awesome but had no help for drinks or other items. The free biscuits they bring before meal was THE BOMB
It was our first time visiting and it was delicious! We ordered 2 plates to share and try the different options and sides. Food was fresh and we loved the spinach dip with chips as well. Our server was so kind and attentive even though she had multiple tables. We got there right after opening so it wasn't too busy but when we left it was starting to fill up! The complimentary lollipops at the front helped keep my son entertained while waiting for the food. Overall great experience and plenty of leftovers to take home
Last Night Was My 30th Birthday & It Was My First Time Being There I Was So Satisfied Along With Brittanya Who Took Care Of Us All Night Long She Was Kind Sweet & Friendly Make Sure We Also Got Our Food On Time & She Really Made My Night I Would Really Recommend This Place To Folks Its Worth Your Money & The Food Is Amazing.
My son and I celebrated his 17th birthday and we had a great experience. The food, atmosphere and staff at Lucille's smoke house BBQ was excellent. The only thing I would say is the portion of mashed potatoes was a little small. It was enough for me, but for my 6'2" son, he could've had a larger portion of potatoes to be satisfactory.
Husband took me out for a lunch date and ooo child let me tell you something, girl got full. Gosh the biscuits were so good, and the crackling devil eggs were a nice creation! By the time I got to my main course I couldn't finish. But i did have room for dessert lol, peach cobbler pudding big enough to share.I grew up around a South Carolina raised pop and Texas mama so I had high expectations. I hope to try more dishes there soon.
Lucille's Smokehouse was great! We didn't wait long for a seat, maybe less than 10 minutes. There is lots of parking in the front, you may have to walk a little. The mall does get busy, but there is available parking. Our hostess was really good, she suggested that we get the Feast for two. This gave us an appetizer, three meats, two sides and a dessert. We also added a two choice platter that gave us two choices of meat, and two sides. The meats we got were: Brisket, BBQ Chicken, Tri tip, pulled pork, and Ribs. The sides were: Coleslaw, Baked Beans, mash potatoes, and mixed vegetables. The desert was: Peach Cream pudding. All we have to say about all this food is everything was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted great! The service that we received was also great. Our waitress was always around attending to out drinks and seeing if everything was good. Her suggestions for food and desserts were also very much appreciated. Going to definitely come back for more!
Always a great place to dine in at Lucille’s! There was no wait time, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the beef ribs and jalapeño cheese sausages combo—both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The ribs were tender and smoky, and the sausages had just the right amount of heat and sauce. Definitely a spot we always return to for some solid BBQ!
On a visit from England 🏴 to see my daughter who lives nearby for a week, for my 60th birthday, she suggested here....and what a fantastic choice. I've reviewed a couple of other BBQ places but this one sets the bar, and is easily the best so far. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is buzzing and friendly. And you instantly smell the hickory and are greeted warmly. The food we had gets a 10 easily ! It was divine. Burnt ends were incredible and melt in your mouth and brisket superb, tender and just the right smoke. The chicken was equally good and the ribs had an amazing smoke and were perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese with bacon was light and delicious and the cocktails were the best we'd had in our week there. The in house sauces were perfect and varied to match your taste/food. To cap it off our lovely server Jasmine, brought a small piece of cake and gave me a card from the staff which was fantastic and hand written...and sang happy birthday!! Never had such service anywhere in 60 years! :) if you are nearby and like top class BBQ smoked food, and great staff.. this is it. Already missing it! A huge thank you to all the staff and chefs. You are Rocking it! Cheers Paul UK 🍻
We were recommended this place from a friend and we showed up and the staff greeted us promptly and with and great service. We were seated quickly ( Now we went on a Tuesday so seat times may differ ) We were told that on busy days you should make a reservation or you will be waiting a while. Now sorry for so much detail about this place, but people when I tell you this place is good it's a understatement. We had The Ribs and the Burnt ends the BBQ Chicken and The Jambalaya it was all so good I can say best I have had in such a long time. Also our server Ari was so helpful and very attentive to what we needed. Really happy I found this place, I strongly recommend everyone that what's to try it should try it. P.S. The biscuits and the butter was best I have had. !!
Oh my goodness, how delicious! I'm visiting from Florida and my best friend always raves about Lucille's, so I was hoping she'd take me to eat here. I'm so glad she did! It was amazing! We got the smoked brisket, baby back ribs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, fried green tomatoes, and the spinach and cheese dip. We also tried the strawberry lemonade. And we ended our dinner with the Snickers ice cream pie. Everything was so SO good, wow!! The meat was especially incredible. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town 😋
You can't go wrong with Lucille's! Food and service was great. I will just say the strawberry lemonade was so SO sweet, I had to ask for an extra water to water it down and somehow it was still t…

Went here with to see my granddaughter (it had been a while, and it's one of her favorite places). Busy night for a Sunday, took about 1.25 hours to be seated, wait staff were nice, and the food was pretty decent. I'd go again.
The music is too loud, can't really carry a good conversation. The food is always good, but expensive, and even with reservations you end up waiting for a table. My favorite dish here is the beef ribs, we ordered the meal for two and included 7 bones and 3 sides, we had street corn on the cob and coleslaw, we also had coffee (it was kind of cold) and their signature bisquets with butter.
The atmosphere was cool, music was good. Service was good, food was good. That's just to say the least. To go into detail I would say that the atmosphere fits the menu. The servers/service was good. Starting food was my drink which was big enough for the entire meal, served along side the complimentary biscuits, they were sweet and warm they were accompanied with an applebutter that was good on it. For an appetizer I ordered the popcorn chicken that also comes with a cheetos hot marinade but I got them plain. They were good, just simple popcorn chicken bites. They had 3 bbq sauces a Midwest tangy, an original and a sweet and spicy BBQ all were good. I ordered a ceaser salad that was ok, I did finish it so it was good. My main was the hot-honey chicken sandwich. I'll be honest it was a complete mess, too much runny honey and it was a touch too spicy for my liking. I did take a solid bite and the bread was good with a lite crunch to it partnered with the coleslaw was good the chicken was pounded just a little too much but it was still good, the honey was nice touch to the sandwich but as I said, it just runs everywhere and causes it to be a giant sticky hot mess. If your into that then it's a good spicy chicken sandwich. My side was garlic mashed potatoes that tasted just like guess what? If you guessed garlic mashed potatoes then yes your right. Plain and simple they were good. My wife got the 2 item combo with Alabama chicken that was surprisingly good. It has a sweet gravy that was a nice different touch. The tri tip was pretty good too. Her side was a good mac n cheese. All in all I would recommend eating here, its got a good environment and the food ain't horrible either.
First time going. My husband ordered the BBQ ribs with a side of mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. I had the Nashville Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was good and had pickles with coleslaw. Added the spicy bbq sauce and was delicious. My husband’s BBQ babyback ribs were good but had little meat. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it was a 1 hour wait (but got called in about 45min). Service was good, server was polite and although it was very busy he was courteous and checked in on us.
You have a great time here. Lucille has good food ribs I'm planning other choices not cheap you'll spend some money but it'sgood food.
Our recent visit to Lucille’s left us with a satisfying experience from start to finish. The restaurant's cleanliness and attentive service set the stage for a pleasant dining experience.Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, thanks to the manageable wait time during the week. The attentive staff ensured that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our meal. The food at Lucille’s was decent, with highlights including their delectable welcome bread, which left a lasting impression. While the overall quality of the dishes met our expectations, it was the warm and inviting atmosphere that truly made the dining experience memorable. It's worth noting that for those planning a visit on the weekend, a longer wait time should be anticipated, with potential waits of up to two hours.
My daughter had a craving for brisket so we had to come to Lucille's, frankly the only decent option for barbecue in our area. I've been a bit of a brisket snob eversince our little quest across Texas for their best brisket (Hutchin's in Dallas and Frqnklin's in Austin). Lucille's has always been my choice for beef ribs. They've upped their beef rib prices because of higher food costs, but they still offer up some great deals for family style meals. I love, love, love their cole slaw, and am now a big fan of their pork belly burnt ends! If you're ever at Victoria Gardens and are craving decent BBQ, come and eat at Lucille's!
Pretty good BBQ place. Beef ribs were meaty and tasty. Brisket queso was ok. Not a very large portion and little pieces of meat. Nothing like the pictures 🙃 Deviled eggs were the best part. Very busy on weekends because it is located in Victoria Gardens..
Ill be honest...I was skeptical of this place. But it was surprisingly good. The missesThe salted biscuit was really fun, stir fried veggies werent an afterthought, and the st Louis ribs were really nicely done. Appreciate the BBq sauce at the table...especially because the chicken breast was pretty dry but dark meat was delicious. Felt bbq beans were a little.more firm to my liking but the overall taste was good. Little on the expensive side for a plate but glad I went!
The Nashville hot chicken was delicious. Grabbed an old fashioned to wash it down. Both hit the spot. Wifey got the southern fried chicken and said it was worth it. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time or be prepared to wait 1hr +.
Went here for the first time—my husband has been wanting to go for a while and said it was really good. He was seriously craving it. I didn’t have a delicious experience, but the service was wonderful. Our waiter was Ernie and he was great. I ordered the peach lemonade because I had it in my head it would be fresh peaches or at least taste more natural, but it ended up being a syrupy kind and I really didn’t like it. I embarrassingly asked Ernie if I could switch it to a sweet tea (which my husband had ordered because sweet tea basically flows through his veins 😂), and he was super nice about it. He even said he’s not a fan of the flavored lemonades either, so he totally got it. He was super attentive and made sure we always had fresh biscuits at the table—I’m not a biscuit person at all but those were freaking so good. I think I ate like 3 or 4 without even thinking. The starter salad was actually browning already, I told my husband if we get stomachaches, that will likely be why. But the ranch was really tasty, and I love the cute saucer cups! I got the two meat lunch platter. The tri-tip was actually really good, but the BBQ chicken was so dry. I brought it home thinking I might reheat it, but I ended up tossing it because I knew it would be even drier. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty though. Next time I think I’ll stick with just beef and maybe try the mac and cheese—Ernie recommended it! So yeah, not totally blown away by the food, but the service and a couple of the items made it a decent first visit. I’d give it another shot.
Great food and atmosphere. The server we had was sub par and kept forgetting things we had asked for and things we had asked for multiple times. Overall the food was extremely good. I ordered the down south trio and my wife ordered the Mardi Gras chicken. Both were delicious and food tasted fresh.
What has to the the tender and edible Tati Tip? Not at this location for $31.00 for 9oz's I expect edible. \n\nWait staff was great but the food ehh!

The wait here was over 2 hours and when we did get seated, service started out great. We ordered and our sides were wrong, we waited a long time for the right sides to come and for BBQ sauce to be brought out. The lemonade was way too sweet my child didn't want it. The food tasted great. Drinks are well priced and the place is clean.
Food by far did not meet even the least expectations. It wasn't bad, just expected a bit more. Service was great. Even had to wait with a reservation for two people
Waitress not the best. Needs people skills. But did noticed she paid attention to certain customers. Food was ok but they forgot the cranberries for our Turkey Dinner.
I hate to do this to my favorite Lucille's location of all time but I gotta keep it real. We picked Lucille's in Rancho Victoria Gardens because it's been our spot for years. Last night was a disappointing visit to say the least. I will begin by saying that our server was great and was the bright spot of the evening. The food on the other hand was absolutely terrible. I ordered the rib tips and fries, my wife ordered sausage links and we also ordered a chicken and a pulled pork sandwich. The rib tips, which are my favorite item on the menu, and usually juicy and tender were like thick cut beef jerky rolled in bbq sauce. Some of the pieces were not even fresh and the fat barely rendered down, almost like raw fat. The fries were so soggy and squishy, just gross. My wife's sausage links were just about burned to a crisp. I don't spend time on negative reviews and try to keep things positive but it is hard to do in this case. The rest of the food was just ok. I am going to chalk this up to a bad night and hopefully try again at some point. My heart is a little broken over it.
Ordered rib/chicken and corn on the cob and all was dry, like it had been in a warmer all morning. First time there and was disappointed.
Food went down hill. It use to be good. Order ribs, brisket, pork belly burns ends. The brisket was very under cook and tough. Ribs we alright but the belly was good. It was busy so maybe they rushed the food to get it out.
Lucille’s, while featuring an inviting ambience, falls a bit short on the promise of its tantalizing menu. The staff was friendly and approachable, but service tended to be on the slower side. The food, while visually appealing, was unfortunately underwhelming in terms of taste. It didn’t quite live up to the tantalizing expectation set by its presentation. However, the drinks offered were decent, providing some redemption to the meal. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, Lucille’s is an okay spot for those looking for a casual barbeque experience
I am sorry to say but another BBQ place that is just not what is expected from such a place. The atmosphere was great with a trend but retro vibe. The service was great and I so wanted the food to be what the vibe was but just not there. The brisket was ordered to not be lean because I wanted the juicy and tender meat but it was dense and sort of dry. I had a hard time chewing the brisket and I ate a few bites and left a good portion. The Jalapeno cheddar sausage was old but had a little burnt taste. Now the BBQ Beans and potato salad was good. So I spent $55 with tip and had one sausage link and partial sides. I just find it hard to find a good BBQ place in California. I love this state and work here alot from out of state(Texas being my home state) and I just wish I could find a great tasting brisket here in this beautiful state. I will continue to look for one.
Waiter was nice but forgetful Bbq chicken was dry You pay high price for alcohol drink, it wasn't good, it was not what I ordered. Beef brisquit was dry and didn't taste good. 3 stars is generous.
Went for lunch and haven't been there in years. The food is mediocre at best. The food has little flavor. Not just the meat, but the sides as well. Very underwhelming. The service was good, as the waitress was very attentive and kept checking in and kept the drinking glasses full. I will not be going back.
This particular location had become our favorite after visits in Chino, West Covina, and Fullerton. Today, we were disappointed. We had a rather affable waitress by the name of April. She was jolly, cordial and advised us well as to drinks and specials we might want to try. Our favorite appetizers were quite good as usual. However, the main course was dropped on the table by what appeared to be a meal "runner." Cold macaroni and cheese and one set of beef ribs were all fat and another order seemed to be just bones...no meat. We let April know and she said she'd summon the manager, who took 15 minutes to arrive. He was Joe and was understanding and said he'd replace the inferior meat and macaroni, which he did. We ate coleslaw and bread as it took awhile to get the new rib orders. I had ordered a beer only to be told that they'd sold out of Pacifico as we were packing up to leave. They offered Modelo, which I drank after my meal of coleslaw and biscuits. We packed up the new meat order for home. Needless to say, this was NOT the dining experience we'd hoped for. We seemed to have arrived in the middle of a shift change ( about 4 p.m.). April was handling the bar area tables alone. Who knows who was running the kitchen. Eventually, more shift members arrived and began to address our concerns and helped us pack up the remainder of our meal. We still left after paying $130.00 a bit annoyed and disappointed with our dining experience. We will try another time at this location but be careful NOT to arrive around 4 p.m. Hopefully, this was an aberration and will not become its norm. One good thing is the manager and servers remained cordial and willing to try to make things right and fair.
Made a reservation for 2 and arrived a little early. This was at 4 pm mid-week and the restaurant was fairly empty in the waiting area and sitting down. I was told it would be a few minutes by the group of 4 employees standing at the front counter. 10 minutes went by, nothing, 15 minutes went by and we are still sitting and waiting. Quite a few people came in and got seated while we were waiting. After 20 minutes, I went to the counter and asked what's the hold up. The same shorter African American girl that welcomed us in was surprised we were still waiting. Lucille's, what's the point of a reservation if we had to wait for 25 minutes in an empty restaurant?
A decent BBQ spot located in the Victoria Gardens outdoor shopping mall. Whether you’re hungry before or after shopping this place can satisfy a craving. If you don’t know they specialize in southern style BBQ. The atmosphere is lively and they always have the sporting events on. They have happy hour specials in a daily and that’s one of the main reasons this place is always packed. I’m a creature of habit so I’m always ordering the same things. The Brisket Sandwich is always a winner along with their Deviled Eggs. I can honestly say the BBQ items sometimes are a hit and miss depending on the cook. Yeah I know they should follow the same recipe but it’s a fact that sometimes items don’t turn out the way they should. The service is also a hit and miss and that’s understandable and I say that because not everyone loves their job to say the least. Other than that it’s a known chain and it has its good and bad. Hopefully when you go try this place it’s a good and pleasant experience.
Overall good, I have never had bad service. I've had bad brisket once, but they do everything to make it r right

I haven’t been here in a few years and was looking forward to it especially their biscuits. I thought asking for more biscuits would be complimentary but now they charge. service was great, drink…
The food portion of this review is not related to their core product of BBQ pork. The Sirloin is terrible, overcooked and dry. The mac n cheese is lame, the biscuits are tasty but too sweet. Fries are decent. Service is quick but lacks details like clearing dirty dishes or wiping the seats before others use a table.
I loved this place last year the food was amazing, but today’s experience? Not so much. I ordered the same ribs plate, but it seems like the cows went on a strict diet—there was barely any meat on the bones! I felt like I was chewing on beef-flavored toothpicks. Portions shrunk so much, I wondered if I got the kid’s meal by mistake. Hoping the cows bulk up by my next visit!
I don’t go to Lucille’s much because I don’t have one near me. I just happened to go to this location because I was there to exchange something at another store. I placed two different orders and in one of them I got a combo with saint Louis ribs and brisket. Me and the person at the pick up area just made sure I got everything. I should have opened the containers because I would have caught this right then and there instead of when I got home. I just trusted that they double checked while packaging up my order. When I got home to finally eat my food…I found a piece of plastic in my container. I didn’t know it was plastic at first because it was covered in sauce. I thought it was a piece of my meal. Thank goodness I didn’t warm the whole thing up because I would have had melted plastic on food. Instead I was feeling peckish and grabbed that plastic piece and bit it! I was like ???? Umm yeah this isn’t part of my meal. I should have known since it looked a bit different from the other meats but it was wrapped in with the brisket… I was honestly in shock that I found it funny haha. So please be careful when you get the brisket! Also, I did call to report it, they apologized and offered to compensate my meal. I still haven’t received anything via email so I have to reach out again… It honestly just felt like the whole conversation was them trying to get me off the phone. Maybe it was just their tone of voice or maybe they didn’t believe me but yeah. I added the photo of the plastic I found. I even contacted their contact us form and heard nothing back. Just be wary of that brisket. I’m not sure if the hunger blinded me but I should have known. Now I can say I tried to eat plastic one time haha.
Lately I’ve been disappointed with their food. The food tastes good but they’re cutting back. I stopped ordering the gumbo because they cut the shrimp into tiny pieces so you’re really not getting shrimp. The last time I I came here I ordered fried catfish and they cut the fish into tiny pieces. The food is good but they’re scaling back on some of their dishes.
I am someone who understands an honest mixup, but it becomes frustrating when a business refuses to own it. I ordered a combo meat plate that included pulled chicken. I was surprised when my plate arrived with what I am going to call “Random Pieces of BBQ Chicken.” I politely asked the waitress “Is this pulled chicken”? She looked at it, and with all the confidence in the world, stated it was. I’ll let you all decide…
Yesterday I went to a Lucille's and they charge me $29 for a bbq combination plate of brisket and tri-tip. The meats were small portions and the Mac cheese was watery. Like I paid a significantly high amount for small portions? It's ridiculous, I won't be coming back here again unless it's to order from the Happy Hour menu.

Just went for my birthday and we got sat down , no one came to ask for drinks or anything. Servers kept passing me and my girlfriend. It's ridiculous.
Service was horrible. The food was horrible. The hot towels was hotter than the food that will be my last time visiting that place. It’s not the same something change dramatically. Our bill for the family was $267 such a waste of money🥲
The guy in front of me at the pick up window was pretty upset warning everyone in line to check their food because they forgot items that he ordered… I checked my bag but not thoroughly i saw they forgot my two salads and they brought them out to me. When I got home The foods flavor is pretty decent, but the food is cold when when I got home(on time pick up living less than 5 mins away) I ordered a dinner for two and they forgot my Tri-Tip with mop sauce which is an extra charge. I wasn’t going to leave a review because they gave me a coupon for this situation but when I came back yesterday for dessert there was plastic inside of my ice cream. So overall either they are over worked so they cannot handle what it takes to have quality service and food . Or they just don’t care.
I am very disappointed in the front desk service. I was quoted an hour and half to 2 hours. I t took them an extra hour to seat a party of 5. Food is decent but not worth the wait.
Went here for my hubby's bday. Was told the wait time was 1 to 1 hour 15 min long. We waited 1.45 hours just to be seated. Overheard them apologize to one family for giving away their table. The concierge did not look us in the eyes when talking to us, and she did not update us on the status of our table. And when we asked, when could we be seated? She said we had to wait and then apologized. Walking to the table, we noticed the floor was slick, like greasy. After being seated, we were immediately waited on. We hadn't even looked at the menu yet. After asking our waitress to come back so that we may look at the menu, we were served 2 biscuits and honey butter. That is all we got for the night. No refills. Now, as for the food, it was nothing we have experienced in previous locations. The Husbands plate came out 1st. He was 1/2 way through his meal before we asked the waitress where my entre was. 5 min later, I received my platter (I ordered less meat than my husband). Glumpy mac n cheese, greens tasted like dirt and bland, and replaced them with baked beans that were aweful and replaced those with the slaw that was managable. The meats were good and flavorful. The womens bathroom had no paper towels and was not maintained. We love going to Lucille's for date nights and birthdays, and this was our 1st time at this location. Due to the wait times, gross food, and poor customer service, we will not be returning to this location. Even my easygoing husband said it wasn't worth the wait.
Everything looked great but the food was not good at all. My wife returned her fried pickle because it was very rubbery. Then got jalepeno muffin with one jalapeño and very undercooked. I had a 3 meat plate the brisket was very burned, chicken under cooked and the baby backs were not good. Had a very high expectation service was excellent but the cook staff dropped the ball

Talk to a manager ordered my food manager said she would give me a free order of cornbread and for my troubles and then didn’t give me one of the sides that I specifically ordered for my children never ever again when I go back there and I don’t in my opinion. I don’t recommend anyone else to either.
I've been going here for years. The past two times food was dry overcooked. We look forward to having a great tasty moist chicken. It was gross, told the waiter and try to accommodate us. I suggested to tell the cooks to stop overlooking. The waiter talk to management and she did nothing about it. Worst manager, waiter was great no complaints. Will be going to long beach instead worth the drive n better management n service. Food is a always on point.
Avoid the brisket topped mac n cheese. It wasn't brisket it was just brisket fat. The iPad on the table was covered in greasy marks...looks like it was never cleaned. The loaded fries were sad to look at. Like the cheese had been left on the counter all day. They are going downhill like claim jumper.
I had a frustrating experience during my recent visit. The issue started when several staff members were standing around while I had to wait for someone to figure out who would take my takeout order. When I finally placed my order, I asked for a full rack with three 1/3 extras, cornbread, and mashed potatoes because I don’t prefer the other side options. The employee taking my order told me I had to choose additional sides instead. He then went to get the manager, and another staff member stepped in to help complete the order. However, the original employee came back and continued going back and forth about the order, which caused unnecessary delays and frustration. The process felt disorganized and inefficient, and it ultimately made me feel like my time wasn’t valued to the point where I just left.
I recently ordered a to-go order with Lucille's barbecue and I was very disappointed. the beef ribs were so tough. the brisket was rough and dry and that's very unlikely for this location. in Temecula the pork ribs, the spare ribs were okay. the macaroni and cheese was gross. potato salad was good and the beans were okay
Read your reviews people, Lucille's is not what it once was... There's not much good being said about either location and the few good reviews are probably fraud I would have to guess. I was totally ripped off last night, (Valentine nightmare) ordered take out, paid $133 (no drinks, an extra side of biscuits) and look what they sent me down the road with and the good Lord as my witness, the food was cold cold once I got to the house to surprise my family. Close up shop, you people are terrible. This picture is exactly how I uncovered it.
Found a large piece of plastic in my mac & cheese. I notified the waiter and they just kind of ignored it and took it from me. Meat quality was pretty subpar and dry. Nachos were covered in pure pork fat instead of pork meat. Nice ambiance. Only positive thing is old time feel.
I was not happy with the dry, tough and gristle beef ribs I had purchased at this Lucille's restuarant today. The beef ribs had more gristle than meat. They were 3 gristle bones, I had a hard time getting through one bone it was a struggle. I brought home two gristle bones and gave it to my dog. If asked, if I would recommend the location ...NO. I did inform the waitress, she then informed her manager, he said he would let his cooks know. There was no empathy shown. I am very disappointed and will not visit the location no time soon. The service was great and the ambience was fine.
I placed an online delivery order through the Lucille’s website at 7:12pm. After I already paid, it redirected me to DoorDash to track the delivery, which said scheduled delivery at 8:30pm. I selected asap, I did not schedule my order. I called the restaurant at 7:55pm and politely explained that DoorDash said Lucille’s hasn’t even confirmed the order at all yet despite being placed at 7:12pm, and I wanted to check the status. The lady was polite and said she would transfer me to a different person and I waited. 30 minutes on hold. I then asked my partner to call and then he spent 15 minutes on hold after having to call about 6 times to get an answer in the first place. All while I’m still on hold. I have to hang up and call again to get an answer, no one answered me or my partners holds. On the second call, they said they’d put me through to a manager and proceeded to leave me on hold for another 15 minutes. This whole time my order has already been picked up and is out for delivery. And the cherry on top is DoorDash assigning a $180 steakhouse order to a multiple delivery order, without prioritizing it. If we had the option we would have chosen priority delivery, but that wasn’t even available. Miserable experience, never got to speak to a manager or anything, and the food arrived luke warm.
I find myself coming to Lucille's less and less. The quality of food was disappointing as my brisket was almost a third fat, they didn't trim the fat off the ends. Also the portions where less than the previous visits. Customer service is what really got to me. The server stopped at several tables around us but didn't stop at ours. When she did, she forgot to bring our refills (she forgot). It wasn't till I stopped her going by that I reminded her about our drinks. When we ordered our dessert it never came. She saw us paying our bill and decided to bring it then (she forgot) which was about 15 minutes later. Just asked her to put it a to go box. Just can't see myself bringing my family here again.
Used to love Lucille’s but the last two times were disappointing. Went back again yesterday and The two meat plate was so skimpy on the meat. I had a chicken breast as one meat that was so thin and dry. Counting that as a meat was crazy. Then comes the tri tip that I paid an extra $1 for. Got 4 super thin pieces and the bottom pieces had a lot of fat so it was really like getting 3 super thin slices. The mashed potatoes had a hint of faucet water flavor. Paid $90 for 2 two meat plates, 2 kids meals, 2 lemonades and some onion appetizers and we all left still hungry 🙃
Have always loved this location but after yesterday’s service I don’t know if I’ll be returning. Made a reservation for Saturday 3/7 for about 17 people (8 of those guests being children). Was told over the phone that due to the time slot we chose we had to order a feast from the menu in order to make a reservation( we order one feast and everyone else got individual plates). That has never happened to us before and it’s usually a larger party that attends. We arrived at the restaurant. Waited 30 minutes to be sat. We get our rolls. Waiter comes around to get drink orders. My sister in law in forms the waiter that were ready to order our food as well. We were told that he won’t be taking our food order yet and this is only for drinks. Again that has never happened before we’ve came to this location multiple times. Takes our food order about 20-30 minutes later we’ve been here for about an hour already. Food and appetizers come out pretty quickly. Food looks and smells amazing. My plate comes and the tri tip looks raw. I let my waiter know I can’t eat this (I’m about 6 months pregnant). Waiter tells me he can’t guarantee the next tri tip he brings out won’t look like that. Another waiter comes out with my plate and announces to my table that we have to understand it’s cooked in a smoker and he can’t guarantee that my food won’t look pink. I said that’s okay I understand that but it just looked plain out raw while everyone else’s plate looked great. I get that a piece or two is going to be pink or shades of pink. But the whole tri tip I was served was pink everywhere. All while the waiter looked visibly frustrated and annoyed. We usually get hot towels at the end of our meal and didn’t receive any.
My husband and I chose this location to celebrate our anniversary and were extremely disappointed. We had a reservation and still waited over an hour to be seated, despite the restaurant not being busy. After being seated, we waited another hour with no service while staff repeatedly walked past our table without acknowledging us. For such an important occasion, the lack of basic hospitality and respect was unacceptable. We will not be returning to this location and recommend choosing another Lucille’s where guests are treated properly.
I brought my family here because it was recommended, the greeter must have seen my badge because as soon as that happened, the service changed from friendly to treating us like crap. His buddy “victor” came without a reservation and went in in front of us. We got there at 716 and were told 45 minutes. An hour and a half later, we were told another 45 minutes. Several people came after us with the same amount of people and they still got served in front of us. For ALL MY LAW ENFORCEMENT FRIENDS don’t expect basic human treatment. Good luck SCBSD. Server at the table was cool though.
