Randomly found this place after shopping for my girl at Victoria Gardens. This is consider a whiskey bar with the sheer amount of whiskey they have on display. If you are a whiskey drinker this is the spot for you, I almost guaranteed they will have the kind of whiskey you enjoyed drinking. They have other liquor as well so if whiskey not your thing they can accommodate you. The atmosphere makes the experience that much better, it almost has that old fashioned whiskey vibe. They have Happy Hour specials M-F 11-6pm with Tuesdays having $2.50 tacos which are delish. I recommend the seafood or Pork belly tacos. Each day have its own happy special happy hour item, with others items being being every day. They tell you in their menu. They have a good size bar, and if you a party of 2 or 1 I would sit there. You don’t have to worry about waiting, they have about 3 -4 bartenders working back there to keep you hydrated and fed. The staff is friendly and they definitely know the regulars. A must stop for a drink after a long day of shopping. Plus when the weathers nice they have an outdoor seating area.

The wait times weren't too bad. We got a seat outside and they had some outdoor heaters along the patio which was really nice since it was cold out. Our waitress was very friendly, the food was out quick, and everything tasted delicious! We ordered bruschetta, lobster mac n cheese, and bourbon BBQ burger.

Literally the best onion rings I've ever had! The menu was a great mix of classic meals with their own twist added. The food was fresh, came quickly, and tasted amazing! The Coffee Old Fashioned drink is also my new favorite alcoholic beverage!! As a visitor here all the way from Atlanta, I can't wait to come back!

The state never disappoints. Pop in for some food and good drinks. Gets a bit busy on weekends but worth the wait. If you’re just going for a drink you don’t have to be sat just find a spot at the bar.

Good food. Enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the main meal. My bbq burger was great. Others were hit and miss on some of their drinks. I don't partake in drinking alcohol so I can't be sure. Nice environment. Staff did not go out of their way nor did they check on us often leaving us without tea and water refills. Very hard to hear one young soft-spoken waitress but seems like a good waitress.

Appetizers and main courses are good. Try their Poutine! Their burgers taste good as well. They have skinny tables so if you have more than 5 people best to reserve for 8 🤫

We definitely enjoyed our dishes @ The State. It was our first time. One recommendation, do not sit outside unless you want to feel like you are eating in a hallway. It's nicely decorated and fun inside which can not say the same about their outdoor atmosphere. Pair their seasonal drinks with one of their specials ☝🏽

Team Ultimate Exposure William & Bug

So we stopped in yesterday after going to the Apple Store and we were very happy we did. As we walked in it was a very nice setup and we took A seat at the bar. We tried a few different things from the menu. We had the meatballs which was very good just wish it came with a few more pieces of the bread. We also had the Brussels sprouts that were good and a good size portion. Next we split the BBQ burger which was very good and the fries were nice as well. We also had the bruschetta it was okay not great. There are much better choices to pick from

A reservation is a must during the late hours. Super busy but great atmosphere. Fun filled location with great staff and outgoing people coming and going. 1. We decided to stay in the partió area. Heaters were keeping us warm. 2. The waitress/hostesses were amazing and just very attentive. 3. Facilities were clean and orderly with consistent oversight to maintain cleanliness. 4. The food was good, a bit generic, but we came for drinks and ambiance. 5. Great outdoor feel with a great view and fire pit. Overall, had a great time, prices were fantastic and the night was superb

The State was a excellent find. It reminded us of a joint in San Antonio, TX. If I was in a drinking mood, I definitely would have ordered some drinks, considering their wall is filled with various Scotch, Whiskey, Tequila. The State is well designed and set up especially if your scared of being next to other people. The tables are well spaced that create such an openness for the entire restaurant. They welcome all size parties for those interested. The food itself was delicious. The Hamburgers come with Salads and you have to pay extra to switch from a salad to fries (this contributes to why the rating is such). Never been to a place where it cost extra to switch. My wife ordered Well-Done and get Medium-We’ll. She doesn’t eat anything unless it’s fully cooked and hates returning food, so she ate the edges. Such a nice establishment would provide the right food. I myself will eat anything and got the Bar-B-Que burger which came with bacon and onion rings. The burger was huge but wasn’t hard to eat and very delicious! Customer service was excellent and our waitress was awesome throughout the entire visit.

Let's start with the parking , it's not convenient, it's meter parking or you will have to park in the further parking lots in Victoria garden and walk up, second I walked in the host wasn't very friendly in my opinion it was a lady with half blk and blonde hair . We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, the decor is different but it very nice trendy and instagram worthy, people dress casual here so i seemed kinda over dressed. Our waiter was nice , however we had a couple dirty cups, when we asked for wine . We told him he brang back another cup that was semi clean . The food I would say is worth it and it's very high end looking and affordable. I got the grill cheese & artichoke sandwich and onion ring . Really good ! We also ordered burchetta very good , and the bread pudding was phenomenal 👌 . I personally wouldn't go back to dine in , I didn't like the vibe of this restaurant, it's dark , dark walls , they played blues and sometimes didn't play music at all but I guess that's the point of a modern whiskey bar and restaurant . The energy wasn't there for me , the workers through out the place are a hit and miss . It's just not a fun exciting place for me personally so I would possibly order take out to enjoy my food else where . They do have a bar. One thing I didn't like is the fact they don't have menus you have to use your phone and my phone didn't have a connection in there. There was outside patio seating but it was triple degree weather . . . Part 2 I actually went back in dined in the food was still really good, service was a lot better, and workers were attentive , we sat on the patio a bit before we went inside I felt like the vibe was better . Great food as always we tried the fried oysters they were really good 10/10 bread pudding always smacks 😋 10/10

This Life

Three of us were there on a Monday at 11:45am, to enjoy a birthday brunch. We had celebrated an earlier birthday there three years ago, and had a delightful time, so my son chose State again. This visit was definitely not during a busy time - they had just opened, and had one table with customers. The young man who was the host was just terrific! He was friendly, engaging, welcoming and helpful! The waiter on the other hand, was uninterested, borderline made us feel like we were bothering him. We didn't ask for anything special, just ordered food and a dessert. The food was delicious as expected, but the service put an incredible damper on a happy occasion. We will not be back to State again.
