Came here for a quick Sunday lunch and Wow, it was great. Surprised at the large dining area upstairs. Food was delicious. Same quality as the Oakhurst location we frequent. Will definitely be back.
This place was delicious! My family and I went for an early dinner and were happy with our meal. We ordered a meal from the kids menu for our son. He enjoyed the chicken skewer with fries. My husband and I ordered the Gyro platter. We shared the dish and it was plenty of food. They serve pita with olives to start. The olive oil at the table was amazing. The entire meal was about 40$. The place has plenty of seating and it also has a small parking lot. There was parking on the street too. We are totally going back.
Superb Homemade Greek food served by a welcoming staff. I couldn’t resist seeing this Greek Spot in town! Really enjoyed a simple lunch to-go of Lemony 🍋 Roasted Potatoes with a small cup of Homemade Hummus…there’s a counter area facing the windows where you can enjoy your meal. The young Turkish woman who helped me was delightful! I was surprised that they serve Avogolemeno Soup (you don’t see that much outside of Greek neighborhoods). I’ll definitely be back to try more healthy Greek eats here! YASOU!!! A++++
Fantastic spot to get some delicious greek meals! I couldn't stop saying how delicious everything was. I recommend the stuffed mushrooms. The lemon potatoes were also so good! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
First time at this location! We have been to the location in Manalapan, which we love & tell everyone about! Then we found out about the Red Bank location so when we were in Red Bank we knew we had to go to our favorite Greek spot :) Such a beautiful & clean restaurant. Every single staff member is super friendly, thoughtful, & welcoming- they were amazing! The food is delicious and such generous portions. My husband is Vegan and it can be hard to find restaurants that accommodate his diet so we very much appreciate their vegan options- we love the eggplant dip and he loves the Vegan platter he always orders. Now we will tell everyone about the Redbank location as well! Staff, food, atmosphere- all 10 out of 10!!! We drive about 45 minutes from New York because nothing beats the Greek Spot!! :)
Greek Spot at Red Bank is a great restaurant. Whenever you have the urge for some wholesome Greek cuisine, head to the Greek Spot. The chef does a phenomenal job preparing authentic Greek dishes. Everything was delicious. I ordered a small take out order. My order consisted of: 1 - House Salad, 1 - Pita, 1 - Spanikopitakia, and 1 - Greek Fries with cheese. The price was impressive. Most importantly, the seasoning was on point. Greek Spot’s staff was warm and friendly. Furthermore, the staff was knowledgeable and eager to assist me with my menu item selections. If you decide to dine in, you won’t be disappointed by the overall ambiance of the second floor. This restaurant is as Greek as it gets. Check it out and tell your friends about it. Blessings!
My wife and I like Mediterranean food so we had to try the Greek Spot while in Red Bank. We were not disappointed! The place was very nice; classier than the name and exterior might imply. The service was great with pita and olive oil brought out immediately and frequently. The server and other attendants were extremely polite and friendly. The food - goodness! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge! We had hummus and pitas for an appetizer as well as Loukaniko, an excellent Greek sausage. My wife had chicken gyros, which they specifically made for her, and I had the Bifteki platter. Thus was no simple burger; the patties were perfectly spiced and cooked. It was a perfect complement to the rest of the platter which included spinach and rice. There was so much food that we each took home enough for another meal later in the day. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and affordable visit!
In the mood for delicious Greek food, this place is perfect! We ate at the restaurant and the waitress was so warm and welcoming. Service was excellent. Our glasses were always filled with water without asking and they were very attentive. My 5 year old daughter ordered from the kids menu (limited choices) and ordered linguine and meatballs. She liked it but sauce was a little sweet and didn’t like the meatballs. However, our food was so good - see photos. We started with calamari appetizer. It was seasoned well and we loved the marinara that went with it. The tzatziki sauce was very fresh and delicious. The portions were big and we took the left over food home, reasonable priced and BOYB. We will go back for sure.
Foods was delicious and all the staff was very nice, friendly and simply professional.
Excellent! Our food and service were awesome. I’ve gotten take out from the one in ocean quite a bit but this was my first dining experience in red bank. The food did not disappoint. You literally can’t go wrong with anything you select. The shrimp and scallops pasta was amazing and so was the rack of lamb meal. BYOB which is a plus.
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Greek Spot Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming ambiance transported us straight to a little corner of Greece. We started with the cold spreads, and they were nothing short of divine. The tzatziki was creamy perfection, the hummus had just the right balance of flavor, and the taramasalata was an absolute standout—so rich and satisfying! Paired with the warm, fresh pita, it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. The Greek salad was a refreshing burst of Mediterranean goodness. Every bite was bursting with freshness—the crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, and tangy olives were perfectly complemented by a generous block of creamy feta cheese. It’s a simple dish, but when done this well, it becomes unforgettable. Now, the fire lamb? WOW. Perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor, it was the highlight of the meal. The dramatic presentation of the dish arriving on fire definitely made for an exciting moment, but the taste was what truly stole the show. A quick tip: BYOB! Bring your favorite bottle of wine or some crisp beer to elevate the experience even further. Greek Spot Restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers authentic flavors and an unforgettable dining experience. We’re already planning our next visit! Highly, highly recommend!
Grabbed lunch with a friend and this was our first time here. We had an amazing server named Bella! She was very attentive! We both ordered soups (lentil which is vegetarian and Greek chicken noodle) and Spanakopita with Greek salad. It was absolutely delicious. We splurged and shared Baklava and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
What a great place this is. Interior is warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. All the dishes we had from the Apps to the main courses were all excellently prepared and plentiful. We took quite a but home for the next day. This place was recommended by my sister. It is worth our trip from South Jersey, and we will definitely be back.
I am a Greek born citizen, raised in Athens. I have been missing home and I wanted bring Greece close to me. This place was recommended by a co-worker and I have to say it was AMAZING! In the beginning I thought this wasn't cheap but the portions are HUGE! It was very well worth it!
True authentic Greek restaurant with large portions and cheap prices in a beautiful atmosphere! I had the feta Saganaki for appetizer which was good, but what really stole the show was my lamb shank dinner! I had the lamb shank over orzo and OMG was that absolutely delicious! The cumin and cinnamon flavoring to the tomato sauce gave it such an AMAZING flavor! I’m so glad my waiter gave me the recommendation on ordering it! The lamb shank over orzo was shockingly priced at only $19! That’s a steal! The next time I come I can’t wait to try the pastitsio! For those of you that don’t know that’s Greek lasagna! I really love Greek desserts and this place certainly didn’t disappoint! I ordered 2 the baklava, and I the Galaktoboureko I took to go. The baklava was very good, but the winner of the two was Galaktoboureko! It had a delicious thick layer of custard that was unreal! I confess that it was so good, and as full as I was I couldn’t help it but devour it in my car! It’s a must order! I highly recommend dining at Greek Spot The Restaurant in Red Bank!
Another Great Dinner!!!! Never a disappointment!!!!! A Must Try!!!!!! Check out some pic's and let me know what you think!!!! Place is amazing & so deceptive from the outside. Its Huge with many different rooms as well as a separate take out area. Highly recommend.. Price is reasonable as well. Won't be disappointed 😌
The Greek Spot in Red Bank is truly the Greek spot. The food here is by far the best Greek cuisine around. The service was spot on, very attentive, and helpful with the menu if your not familiar with the lingo. Truthfully I feel that there is no poor choice on the menu, but I had the gyro platter with a side of their string beans and potatoes in red sauce. My wife had the chicken souvlaki platter with a side of lemon potatoes. The only thing I don't have a picture of is the grilled octopus we had as an appetizer, because we ate it too fast. For dessert I had the Galaktoboureko, which is a phyllo dough fill with vanilla custard. My wife had the Baklava. Everything we had was extremely delicious and I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for great Greek food, or just something different, that's going to knock your socks off.
We dined at the Greek Spot Restaurant for the first time on Saturday night. We reserved a table earlier and it was ready when we arrived. (Be sure to go in the side door, we needlessly walked around the front.) The restaurant is BYOB so bring a bottle of wine or beer, most tables did. We were pleased with the authentic menu over a plate of pita, olives and oil set off on a sampling course. For appetizers we had the Keftedakia (seasoned Greek meatballs) and a Spanakopitakia (homemade spinach pie) both of which were great. For dinner we got 2 hot entries to share, the Rotisserie Lamb (huge!) And the Eliniki Pitela (a trio of Moussaka, Pastiche, Yemista) both dishes came with a side of lemon potatoes. Needless to say it was a lot of food for 2 and take out containers were filled later. All the dishes were also great. We couldn't leave without sampling the Baklava which was perfectly cooked and just sweet enough to close the dinner. Coffee would have been great but we had no room. We will definitely be back and provide an excellent recommendation for The Greek Spot Restaurant.
Very nice spot. Food was delicious, all of it. Service was perfect, thank you. A little loud, but that's because food so good, it was completely booked.
The Greek spot is wonderful. For the past 3-4 years they have accommodated my WINGS group for our “galentines” event. The staff and mgmt go out of their way . Reasonable, great for groups and couples as well . Thanks Steve and staff for an amazing evening .
A great Greek restaurant outside of Astoria. We we’re pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, the generous portions and complimentary appetizer. We will gladly come back once we find ourselves in Red Bank.
Never a disappointment having dined at this establishment multiple times for lunch and dinner. Authentic Greek food. How do I know? Brought friends from Greece here and they told me so. I’ve been to Greece and must wholeheartedly agree! BYOB and fair price for value. Special note- Dine on a Sunday afternoon when it’s not crowded!!!
A hidden gem in Red Bank! So unassuming from the outside and lovely inside. Great wait staff. Lovely atmosphere. Incredible food. Had the Sagansaki and the Meat Odyssey — Omigoodness. So good. Such generous portions. And Ricardo was a wonderful waiter.
Great food at reasonable prices. The portions are generous and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. We've had 4 positive experiences at this location.
An extensive 5 page menu is sure to offer something for everyone. I followed our waitress’ suggestions for new options and enjoyed it all. Note- there are 2 entrances (one tucked away by the parking lot, the other off of Bridge Ave where you get the takeout) and 2 dining areas (3 if you count the seats in the takeout area).
Excellent, excellent restaurant - variety, authenticity and taste are A+, and the value proposition is simply unbeatable nowadays (both food prices and it's a BYOB). We were a large group and tried a lot of dishes served family style on large platters/boards. I'd highlight the spreads board, calamari (large, crispy yet tender), octopus (huge tenticles, very well prepared), branzino, variety of grilled meats, variety of dessert pastries(baklava) and excellent authentic Greek coffee.
Delicious! RUN.. do not walk to this place! The spicy feta dip is delicious but the mixed meat grill platter is to die for! Tzatziki is on point. Glad we came here. Service was on point too, everyone seems to genuinely care and help each other out to clear plates and help customers. I'm glad this place is not too far from us. Will be back very soon!
The food, atmosphere and service was outstanding here. A really great hidden gem. Seemed like very authentic Greek food.
“ A very nice restaurant, impeccable service, very high quality food” This place is amazing!!! A very classy restaurant with a beautiful decor, the white walls are so welcoming, fallow by an excellent service, with a lot attention to details an order to please you.
Just stumbled upon this place randomly because it's close to the train station - we were in for such a treat! The food was really delicious. Flavorful, tender meat; delicious orzo and sides and appetizers. Vibe was also lovely and waiters were so nice. So glad we came, thank you!
Our new go-to for fresh, filling, delicious takeout. Fast, friendly service and generous portions. The homemade hummus is excellent, as is the galaktobureko dessert. Must try for takeout near Red Bank!
Came here for the first time to have lunch with my son's. We were are amazed how good the food was. Was a little slow and service was very good and attentive. Everyone was very friendly.
The atmosphere, food and service were fantastic. This is a BYOB restaurant so bring your beverage of choice if you’d like. Definitely worth it!
I don't see how anyone can say anything negative about this spot.. The food is amazing!. I took some tough customers from NY and they were impressed. This is a must visit. I will be back for sure!.
The Best !! Delicious food, generous portions and reasonable $$. Thanks for years of feeding me.
Have been here at least a dozen times. One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Food is delicious and the portions are huge with very reasonable prices (always have leftovers for the next day). Service is always outstanding and staff is warm and attentive. The ambiance always feels so good whether it’s for an intimate date night or a large family dinner. Love the Lamb on fire, moussaka, vegan odyssey, and chicken souvlaki. Hands down best Greek restaurant in Monmouth county!
One main reason for ordering or having a meal here is that you can taste the freshness of the authentic Greek ingredients always made to order. Exquisite, the real thing. My comment on the atmosphere is that it's very Greek, and that's good but it needs to be either classic or authentic old school Greek or modern Greek it somehow sitting in the middle so they cancel each other out. Which is why I gave it only four stars.
We ordered DoorDash and were bummed to see that they forgot our hummus. Most places would just refund the missed item, but Greek Spot drove it over themselves and included a free dessert. AMAZING! Great service and the best greek food in the area.
I loved the atmosphere. They have such a huge potential to become the “hot spot” especially for weekends. I wonder if they do live music or anything similar ? I was shocked by the huge space they have ! Servers were really nice. I was greeted with some pita bread and olives:) Only thing that disappointed me was the Gyro. It was very dry, meat was served cold 🤷♀️ I’ll definitely give it another chance and try their other food options
Our first time eating here, and I will say it was surprisingly nice experience. They start off with such a generous portion of pita bread with olive oil/olives. We also had a starter of spicy feta, we all loved it! I would highly recommend the spicy feta if you are a fan of spicy foods. We were indecisive as far as what to order for our entree but our waitress helped and told us to order the meat platter, as if would definitely be enough for the 3 of us with leftovers for takeaway. (She was right). The chicken was juicy and very tasty, gyro was ok, a bit on the dryer side and the bifteki was juicy and full of flavor. We had a side of Greek Fries (recommended) and spinach and rice. Totally worth the $40. We finished up with Greek coffee and baklava, both very tasty and baklava was not too sweet, which we appreciated. Now the service was a bit off, waitress was slammed with tables and seemed to be the only person taking orders, and was completely overwhelmed. The manager/owner was out helping but they were definitely short staffed. I would definitely still recommend the restaurant and come back again.
A good BYO place in Redbank. We’ve been to this place several times and always have been impressed with the quality of the food and the attentive service. Convenient to the train station and the Two River theater complex, the restaurant is a good choice pre-performance. There is a nice selection of desserts offered at reasonable prices.
Camari was great! Some of the best i've had. The meat platter was 4 outta 5. Wasnt feeling that patty in the center but that was my own personal preference. Server seemed to be bothered by how much food we ordered and wanted to try 😆. She was grumpy. Everyone else was nice though.
Don't let the condition of the building deter you. The Greek spot at Red Bank looks much better inside. The food was good, the service and atmosphere were amazing. This is a great place to spend an evening with friends and family.
We walked in off the street on Saturday. We were told it’s reservations only but we can sit in the takeout area. The sitting was fine. The girl taking orders wasn’t very friendly. My lamb platter wasn’t great. Lamb wasn’t cooked properly. Side dishes were overcooked. Unfortunately 15 min after the meal, my husband and I got gas pains.
The Greek Spot was ok.. I’m a stickler for cleanliness and unfortunately the floors in the men’s room and the floor near our table was sticky.. we order chicken souvlaki which was just ok, the pork souvlaki was too fatty both were over seasoned. The roasted lemon potatoes barely had lemon on them. We had multiple bottles of wine but no ice buckets were offered for the wine.. The appetizers were very good fried cheese, pita breads, hummus were excellent.. the best part of the meal was the baklava! The service was very slow, the waitress was sweet but didn’t know much about the ingredients used to prepare the different meals.
I was really looking forward to trying this spot, but unfortunately my recent takeout order was a letdown. Today, 10/24/25 I ordered a gyro with fries and a Greek salad. The salad, which had a lot of oil, was placed on top of the gyro and fries in the same bag. By the time I got home, the oil had leaked all over, leaving the fries soggy, cold, and the gyro drenched in dressing. I paid around $40 for the meal, so I expected it to be packed with more care. The flavors seemed like they could’ve been great, but the way it was packaged really ruined the experience. I’d love to give this place another try if they’re willing to make it right — the food had potential, it just didn’t come out well this time.
We used to love this place and ate here for years when they first opened. Dining in was fine. Takeout— when the order was right, it was delicious. But more often than not, items were missing or just correct. Bigger than that, my wife and I started getting sick every time we ate here. We know of a few other people who stopped going as well due to the immediate after effects of eating at Greek Spot.
10/19— Came back 2 years later and baffled at tonight’s experience. I don’t even know where to start. At the waiter not introducing himself, at the food not being fresh or hot, at not getting asked how our food was , at the prices being wrong and getting charged the higher price even bringing it to their attention OR what’s even worse THE OWNER didn’t come to the table right away to apologize. The waiter told him and his response was “ Oh, we have to fix that”. No apology no nothing. Did the $2 make or break it no. But customer service does. By far the worst Greek Spot to eat. No pun intended Outdoor dining is not until 6pm. Open table allows you to make reservations earlier on, ie. 4PM and when I arrived is when I was told that I wouldn't be seated till 6. The host said sorry, you can order food for takeout. 🙄 didn't stay. #annoying
Ordered delivery early 5:00pm on a Friday. Beef and Lamb Plater, Falafel and an extra Pita. When delivery arrived no Falafel. The meat on the plater was bone dry and the pita was chewy and bland. Called to mention missing item and was told they would call delivery service and send missing items. Food never showed up and restaurant never called back. Got refund for missing items but overall very disappointing experience.
The salad had no dressing. The gyro had no tzatziki. Attempted to call but was put on hold and ignored. Typically great food but bad experience this time.
