If Marc ever decides to rename the Deli he should consider "Bagel Heaven" it certainly would not be far from the truth. Simply the best Bagels on the Planet

First time visiting here this morning... The bagel is incredible. Soft but chewy... I got the breakfast sandwich and it had plenty of egg, he added some pickled jalapeno to go with the jalapeno jack bagel and along with the sausage it combined for an incredible flavor. I really miss this bagel place I used to frequent in San Jose, however, this is probably the closest I've found in quality so far. The owner is really chill and it's unfortunate there's a pandemic because the inside is really cozy and I loved the vibe and it would be awesome to be able to hang out inside. I'll definitely be back again.
What a wonderful experience! Great bagels and spreads, attentive owner, just an awesome customer experience! I called in the morning of just after they opened, needing a large order of bagels by 8 a.m. Marc got right on it, and put together a wonderful assortment of bagels and spreads, along with all the extras! I arrived to pick it up and it was all pre-packaged, ready to go! On top of that, when we got to chatting and he found out I was taking them to a large presentation, he went in the back and brought out two decorative trays that he put in my package so I could arrange and present them nicely. So very thoughtful! The service was over the top, and I cannot recommend Marc and Bagel Deli highly enough! Give them a try. They're amazing :) Thank you Marc!! I'll definitely be back.
We love the Bagel Deli. Marc is so kind and has the best bagels. I love the cream cheese and Cheddar bagel. The bacon on the California bagel is always perfect. It's got great rock n roll chill vibes. Love this place!
Amazing bagel sandwiches! Great menu options and plenty of choices for breakfast or lunch. The opener is super nice and welcoming, you can tell this place is his heart. My boy friend and I discovered it a couple months ago and love it, go whenever we get a chance. The decor is also amazing and a great environment if you need to be on a distance learning classroom or a zoom business meetings.
Been driving by this place for years. Finally someone showed me this place and WOW!!! They have Amazing sandwiches on delicious bagels!!! Bagels were soft and delicious not tough like I thought they'd be. Pastrami was warm and marbled to perfection. Obviously I had a pastrami bagel. If you're looking for something different give this place a shot. I'm coming back for sure...

I never write reviews, but I feel the need after my stomach has been silenced this morning... My office and I frequent this place to satisfy all of our bagel cravings. Amazing bagels, incredible service, and they don't short you on cream cheese! Get there early for the best selection since they are made daily, the jalapeno cheddar bagels are my favorite! Support local businesses!
Same owner since 1992, a great little spot for fresh, delicious bagels. Good texture and fantastic flavors. A refreshing change to a typical sandwich if you so desire. Enjoying a reasonably priced everything bagel with Lox at the moment...

We stopped here after Google searching for a bagel place in Redding and our expectations were definitely exceeded. Cozy atmosphere, excellent and genuine service, and absolutely some of the tastiest bagels and flavor options I've seen in a bagel deli. 11/10 recommend!
Just introduced to a Bagel Deli bagel yesterday. Am having the oatmeal raisin nut most delicious freshest bagel I have ever eaten. This place is now on my list of places to frequent for family gatherings, friends and person um er…GAIN! Hope to meet the Bagelchef Mark soon and give him some serious kudos! Made me think of a donut shop we stopped into for a family vacay to Brookings last year. omg these tuck-away little shops are the bomb!
This place is great. I come here every Saturday to get takeout breakfast bagel sandwiches. My favorite is the California breakfast bagel sandwich on a cheddar bagel. Nice and soft with a good amount of cheddar cheese inside that melts when toasted. Great variety and quality.

Got breakfast here today and was pleasantly surprised to learn that not only do they have multiple vegetarian options, the bagels are also delicious! The service was wonderful with a sit-down, family atmosphere and the food had such beautiful presentation. You could also tell their fresh squeezed fruit juice was genuinely fresh (we bought it twice). Definitely give it a try if you haven’t!

I grew up eating these bagels and I think they're probably the best I've ever had. Definitely get a berry bagel and a jalapeno cheese (it's spicy!). Anytime I come back to town I make sure to stop in and pick up a dozen to take home and throw in the freezer. A Redding institution and definitely something not to miss out on.

Hands down best bagel my husband and I have ever had!!!! I didn't even realize I hadn't paid until the food was ready and she never said a word (she just told me the total after the food was ready and then I paid of course) Plus....extremely reasonable price! I had a hard time believing it was only 11 bucks for 3 bagels and one breakfast sandwich 😇 Im really honestly super impressed with this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superb locally owned and operated establishment. The guy makes his bagels fresh every morning at 3-4am. They are moist and wholesome, not dry and thin. The menu consists of healthy and delicious sandwich options, I personally love the smoked salmon. He will make anything you want, anyway you want it. Even has stuffed bagels. If you only want some bagels and no sandwich, they're only $1! This place ranks up there as one of the best places to eat breakfast/lunch in town.

Got the pastrami bagel 🥯 very good . the only complaint in the place was very dirty the tables had pieces of food on them and the floor was dirty as well . If I would of noticed how dirty the place was .I would not of order from there. You can only imagine what the kitchen looked like . The sandwich was very good but I will not go back .
I like to support local business when possible. I really liked my Bagels. I waited about the right amount of time but paid a little more than I thought I was going to after adding up what I ordered in my head although I didn't ask why. I just got two everything's with cream cheese. The guy (prob. owner) asked if I wanted it on the side or if he should put it on so I had him do it. He was talking to someone who seemed to be a friend of his who went into the kitchen for some reason while I was there. I work in food service so it kind of made me wary seeing a guy walk in off the street and go straight into the kitchen in his street clothes though he didn't go over near the food. The place being not too sanitary looking compared to most food service establishments just put me off a bit. Not sure I would return but it was a good bagel if you don't mind the "somebodies living room" vibe to the place.

I got the garden bagel it was pretty good but nothing to write home about. The bagle its self was mid... a little hard but good flavor. Inside the shop there is some cool art.
Don't judge a book by its cover. The atmosphere is unique but the owner is friendly and the sandwiches are tasty!!! Be warned through, the jalapeño bagel is really spicy. Sorry to the owner, for judging before tasting!
No consistent hours it seems. Always closed when I'd like to come by (weekday lunch hour or weekend mid-AM). Owner will over charge and leave out ingredients in sandwiches. Be warned! Check your order and don't assume he'll accurately charge you. Bagels are yummy though. Chocolate one with butter and powered sugar is lovely...
Rude customer service. I would give zero stars if I could. They lack basic human kindness.
Mix the peppers, cheese, etc ingredients IN the dough! Plain white bagels I can buy at grocery, slice and do what you did! Were not good at all. Now I have crappy bagels that won't keep and containers of cream cheese waiting for a decent bagel. Grapefruit juice is special though! 😁
