My family and I love this place. My kids can never remember the name. So they call it cow 🐮, pig🐷, chicken🐔😅. Now we call it that too. The ribs are to die for. I'm not even a big fan of pork. But I can't help but crave some ribs from this place that fall right off the bone and into the best barbecue sauce I've ever tasted. Topped off with some onion rings and some texas toast. Boooy, It's delicious.

I don't do BBQ very often, just not a big fan of it, but a friend insisted we go to Smokin' Joes. I had the brisket and pastrami with potato salad and fries; definitely not something I would consume in one meal. The portions are gigantic. The food was delicious. I'm very picky about potato salad. I do not like mayo or mayo based food, so usually potato salad is a pass. The potato salad here was really good and did not have that disgusting mayo taste. Although, I'm not a fries person, I chose fries for my second side. I had a few fries and gave the rest to my friend to take home. They were really good. The service here was excellent. The man and lady sitting next to us were really nice; I had no clue they were the owners. Although the food was delicious, there's no way I was going to be able to eat more than thirty percent of it. My appetite is not what it used to be. I was not going to be able to take it with me since I was traveling for business and I would not be hungry the rest of the day, so I had to toss the remaining. Definitely returning when in town for business next time.

A real hidden gem in Redding! Some of the best BBQ I've found in CA. I respect their clear passion and focus on nailing the traditional BBQ experience, instead of distracting you with overpriced concepts covering up for subpar meat. We stopped by on a Monday around Dinner time, and we were impressed by the tender Ribs and focus on straight forward flavorful BBQ at a reasonable price. The $22 combo plate had generous portions of tender smokey meat, all of which was quite tasty and prepared with care, served in an authentic traditional BBQ style, even their sides like the baked beans, garlic fries and toast were tasty. I overheard the owner say "Food should taste even better than it looks" and they nail that, although it looked good enough, it tasted phenomenal. Real deal BBQ in Norcal at a reasonable price, you can tell the owner Joe is proud of his food, he greeted us and checked in about our meal. The location is humble, but the vibes and the expansive view across the street added to the experience. They have a drive through and some indoor and outdoor seating. If your passing through on I5 like we were, stopping by Smokin' Joes is worth it if you want to enjoy real deal succulent smoked meats; instead of overpriced nonsense where they try to distract you with "modern fusion BBQ concepts" or fancy interior decorations and branding because they can't nail the fundamentals of the BBQ genre like you often get with many "BBQ resturants" in CA.

Excellent food and service! My sister and I stopped on our way from Oregon to Sacramento and we were glad we did! The fries were amazing and our sandwiches were phenomenal! The customer service was also top-notch! If we lived closer, we'd be there all the time. If you get a chance to go visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Omg, the best bbq ever! We fly into Redding airport and drive just down the rd and this place was highly recommended, at first it looks like a hole in the wall, but best bbq we have found on west coast hands down. If you are ever even close to Redding it’s worth a stop, ribs were perfect meat just fell off the bone, chicken had amazing flavor, tri tip was absolutely perfect, and the pulled pork was not dry at all and the flavor was great.

Not only is the food amazing but the service is exceptional. Portions are generous. Their bbq sauce is one of the best. I always get the smoke stack. I have sampled their brisket and boy was that tasty and tender. Even their soft serve ice cream is deeeelicious. Highly recommend treating yourself to try them if you haven't already 👌

Amazing food! And fantastic service. Thank you ladies for fixing an order when it was clearly my mistake not yours. Anyone who enjoys great BBQ and wants to be treated well go to Smokin' Joe's BBQ & More. They don't make'em like this team anymore. Definitely cut from a different cloth. Customer service is excellent! They have a drive-thru! The food was amazing! We got a family meal deal for 4. Kids grilled cheese and fries meal (Includes a drink), and an extra side of onions rings. Everything was delicious and the portions were good size.

Normally this is one of my favorite places to go, they have great food. Today was a pretty disappointing experience though. We called in a to go order with sauce on the side, talked about the sauce on the side with them when it was picked up but did not check bag. Drove back to work in Palo cedro ranch in bag but no sauce in the bag. We called and talked to Kevin who said to drive back and get it, told him didn't want to drive all the way back for just sauce and asked for a 10$ voucher. He said no and offered to drive sauce himself out to us we agreed said thank you and waited for over 30 minutes before calling again and asking if he was really coming out. We were told that he had not left and that we said we would come pick it up which is not true. Then was told he could leave now to bring it. We declined and co worker ate his ribs cold with no sauce I warmed mine up in toaster oven. Not as appealing as it usually is. Thanks.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserves a mention. I’ve been here a few times food is decent and service is usually good. But today the girl at the front counter licked her fingers clean and then grabbed a fork and put it in my bag. I didn’t say anything because I had extra utensils in my car and didn’t feel like starting a whole situation. Also, I asked for BBQ sauce on the side, and it was already on my food.
