This Poki place is my go-to! This is the best place so far! The service is amazing! They are fast, clean, and generous on the protein and 🥑! The protein/ fish looks fresh plus the best is the seared ahi! They give you two pieces of seared ahi for one scoop of protein and they are a decent size but the quality is that of a high-end seafood restaurant. I definitely recommend this place.
Honestly, i've been coming here for years! this was my first intro to Poke, so natually, the standard was set high! They do it all, affordable prices without being stingy with the protein or toppings, great customer service and exceptionally clean! i highly recommend!
The best Poke in all of Southern California. I’ve tried many places and nothing seems to come close to Poki Poki. 1. Generous portion sizes makes them King. 2. Quality and quantity of ingredients and polite staff. 3. The staff must be trained very well
I have eater here many times. The fish is always fresh and good, the service is great and it is close to home. A great way to get our sushi fix for less than $20 for 2 of us.
Such a good staff. We like their selections, so fresh. Their pricing is on the low side. Extra proteins, seaweed salad, and surimi are less than some others in the area. A+
Their 4 scoops bowl is more food than you could eat in one go and it's awesome. They pile up all the toppings too. My favorite poke bowl in Oceanside/Carlsbad area by far.
It was my first time here the other day. I was a little skeptical with the assembly line style set up but, it was awesome. The food was so good and the fish tasted very fresh. I will definitely be there again.
Generosity, thy name is Poki Poki. The truth of poke bowls is that they are expensive. You often will leave the shop having spent the greater portion of a twenty dollar bill. But unlike many other places, this one gives you more than your money's worth! Heaping servings of proteins, tons of add-ons, and friendly staff. This has bece my go to location and I will be back many more times! Keep up the great work!
Delicious! ALWAYS Kind and welcoming service. Seafood is always fresh consistent delicious taste. Highly Recommended if you are in the mood for some fresh cool grub.
The food here is always fresh and delicious. The serving sizes are a bit on the large size but that’s fine by me. Poki Poki never disappoints!
Love this place! Poke Bowl is Hawaiian fushion, so they won't season the rice (with vinegar and spices) like they would when you buy sushi. If you don't like raw fish, try the seared tuna with octopus and shrimp ♡ and ask for tempura crispies!
This has to be Oceanside absolute best poke place. The kids behind the counter serve everyone with a smile and a very attentive and answer questions easily. All of the ingredients in my bowl tasted fresh and we're really really good. I really enjoyed the crab and the Ahi. I would highly recommend poki poki to anyone interested.
Wow, so bomb. I'm mad at myself for not having tried them sooner. Nice portioning, everything super fresh and delicious. Very friendly service. Will be back again and again for sure.
This place is amazing! I'm seriously getting addicted to eating here. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous (I'm a big dude) and the flavors are great. The staff is also very friendly and helfpul. My #1 go-to for fast healthy tasty meal.
Always great quality, service and flavor.
Delicious 😋! If you like eating raw fish, PokiPoki the best place to go. Very reasonable price. You can spicy or mild. I like the salmon. Nice and smooth! A little spicy is good. Mixing raw fish with avocado is not really a good idea but if you do, eat it separately. Don't forget to ask a sprinkle of dry sea weed.
Satisfied with our bowl and the generous amounts of fish and toppings we received. Our servers were friendly, which is often not the case with poki poki employees so this might be a spot we'll head to more often!
I ate here recently and had a good experience. The food was fresh and delicious. I thought the portions were very generous for the money. We'll definitely be back.
We were craving poke and this place was great! The service was fast and friendly. They explained how to create our bowl. We both went with the 3 protein choice. There were so many choices to choose from! And the portions were so big I wasn't sure we could finish our food, but we didn't let all that good food go to waste- we ate it all and wiped our plates clean! We will definitely go back to try different versions of combinations and their sauces soon.
Quiet little poki place. The girl with dark hair and dark skin is very pretty and so helpful. She explained everything to me without making me feel like I was bothering her. They also have the freshest poki I've tasted in california so far!
This Poke restaurant does nothing special but still a great place to go! Poki Poki offers very typical food and entrées. You choose a bowl. You choose some protein. You choose toppings. You eat. This place does nothing outside the normal for Poke restaurants but that is okay! It is still a great place to grab some quick Hawaiian poke and be on your way. It's like the Hawaiian/Asian version of Chipotle. Instead of making a burrito you are ordering fish and other types of seafood over rice. The interior of this place is open for dine-in. Not overly decorated or special inside (or out) but it is spacious and allows for social distancing. There is no exterior seating at Poki Poki. The parking lot shares parking spots with other businesses in the shopping center. The prices are about typical, if not slightly cheaper. Overall, if you are craving for some quick Poke and wondering if it is good, it is. Give it a try!
Always a good place to get a poke bowl. Get your monies worth there and food is fresh and good.
We just moved to the area and this is our new favorite place to get take out. Fresh yummy food for a reasonable price. Jefferson helped us and he was very helpful and had a ton of good recommendations. We love this place.
Fresh and flavorful. They have all the basics you need to make a great bowl! As a sweet bonus they now have a boba bar!

Some of the best Poki I’ve ever had, I keep coming back! The customer service is also spectacular with tons of options for both raw and cooked meats and loads of toppings/sauces/veggies— the works! Most important all of their food is fresh and delicious at a very reasonable price, and they give you a big portion. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop.
The fresh seafood and veggies we're incredibly delicious. This was my first time to poki Poki. For those new to this, you start with your base or bottom, which is a bowl or salad with options of white rice, brown rice, lettuce or half lettuce half rice. From there you pick either three or four items of raw seafood toppings. There are many options of fresh seafood. They do have seared ahi tuna if you want something a little cooked. There's only four tables for inside dining but the food by far makes up for that! Delicious! I had a poki bowl over brown rice with salmon, ahi tuna, octopus, and scallops. Topped with eel sauce jalapenos sesame seeds cucumber imitation crab, which is a free topping. I can't remember how many other toppings I put on. Crunchy onions at the end with more eel sauce. Pure Bliss! Portions are huge! Chances are good that you will have leftovers for tomorrow. Four seafood items including a bottle of water was $22.50. You betcha I'll be back and it's only a couple of blocks away from my home.
The fish is always fresh & the price is perfect! I order then take home!
To me, this is the best poke place I've been to. I love getting the large bowl with salmon and spicy tuna. The portioning is also great because you get a ton of food less than $15. I really like how the wait in line isn't super long, and there's a lot of options when it comes to the scoops of fish and toppings.
We just moved to Calavera Hills and found this place a few weeks ago and it's fantastic! The bowls are generous and we've been splitting a regular because we get so many toppings :) We usually have it to go, but the place is clean and the staff friendly. Definitely on the list!
Omg shout-out to Chantel, she is so kind, best customer service ever, I love her attitude, always smiling, she made my day. Thanks!!!
Always fresh ,big portions. I live pretty far and overtime I'm in this part of town I gotta stop.

Excellent service, delicious and fresh ingredients. Proportion of protein and toppings to base rice or salad doesn't feel minimal or stingy. Reasonably priced for fresh seafood ingredients. Definitely going here regularly
I love the portions and the quality is very good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that they do not offer any sugar free drinks at all. They have a very nice coke fountain like they have at the movie theaters however, when I went to fill my cup and asked them if they could refill some of the diet options. I was then told "we do not sell diet drinks". What's the point in having the nice machine to then limit the options. I would give a three DUE to the fact that after paying too much for a soda I was not offered my money back. I was very shocked by this and instead of being a jerk I just took my food and went home. However, I will be back and will comment to the manager at the appropriate time.
Very clean inside and staff seemed to take gloves snd hand washing seriously. Food was delicious until my Mom found a not so fresh section of greens in the bottom of her bowl. Unfortunate ending to an otherwise seemingly good lunch.
I got a regular bowl with white rice. Then got ahi tuna, spicy tuna and shrimp for my proteins. Then corn, garlic, crisps, and spicy mayo. Very fresh, quick service.

I love this place, it's the place I eat weekly and the rice is always hot and the toppings are always great. However, recently they changed from the bowl to the white styrofoam containers for to go and I am not a fan of. It's very unstable when putting it on a seat, since it slides around and risk spilling. The sauce and the seaweed salad clings to the lid and when I open the box the sauce flicks out, which dirties the table. The bowl that they used to have is neater, since you can put the lid under it, but for the styrofoam container, it takes up space and you have to work around it. It's a 4/5 for me, the food was fantastic, the staff are friendly and efficient, but the container brings down a star for me. Hope the bowl comes back one day.

It’s nice to have a dedicated Poke shop in Oceanside. Over the last 2 years they’ve popped up all up and down the west coast. We have a pretty solid Island population in Oceanside who was already getting poke from mostly Sushi/Japanese restaurants. The real explosion happened in LA and Orange County where hundred’s popped up over the last few years. Having commuted there up until recently I had 12 poke places within 1 mile from my office, with no shortage of demand. I like to call these sort of assembly line poke shops “Chipoke”. Base, fish, toppings, seasoning. It’s great because it focuses your decisions rather than letting your imagination run wild, but having spent more time in Hawaii than most (family, work, pleasure) it’s not how poke is eaten. Now we use more prime cuts and a more westernize palate, but what I really miss is authenticity in style and ingredients. Poke is a side dish, not an entrée and being such pairs poorly when matched with only white, brown, salad or half/half. I actually prefer to order from a Japanese restaurant in that most will use sushi rice, again that acidity and the fish pair is a proven team. I really miss ogo, limu, kukui nuts, shoyu, ginger (not just the pickled kind) which to me are staples to poke. For those that make our own at home we’ve all certainly made meals out of it but heck even Whole foods uses more than just goma wakame as their seaweed salad. I get that their portion size is nice and filling, but more doesn’t make it better. Some things I like are they are more generous than most on the fish scoops, more often than not most places will round down on the scoops, but not here. I love that they carry Octopus, but sad they don’t carry scallops which to me pair so well with sauces. They are generous on all toppings and will even do extra crab for free. Not much in the way of binding or mayo which is great and it’s not nearly as shredded and reconstituted. I love how even their mild sauce blend has flavor, but with they had more spice as even their hot is not hot. Their fish is firm and fresh, but they wouldn’t tell me who their purveyor was. The service line moves fast and they have solid rushes throughout the day and most of the weekend. The prices are good, but being the first true poke spot allows them to set the bar locally. Their customers certainly make use of the outdoor seating which is nice since indoor is limited. The décor is clean, simple. The store is clean and simple. I’d wish they carried a soda fountain as that tends to keep people more comfortable in eating in versus canned drinks. Not having a larger variety of Hawaiian drinks is odd because Teri’s has a dozen of them and Oceanside has sort of become accustom to island food and island drinks. They could use a 2nd trash receptacle by the door, they don’t recycle and could use a staging area of sauces like sriracha, so it would seem that they really are pushing to go eating with packaged sauces only. A nice variety of Macaroon ice cream is a nice offering and to me shows they care a little more about the overall experience. I’ve made it a point to try everything from when I come here, what I get, how I pay. Don’t get me wrong I like the food(sans rice), love the convenience, but I have to mention the hospitality is suspect overall. Half the line staff are excellent using phrases like (what can I get for you today sir?, what toppings would you like?). While some staff don’t even make eye contact with you when speaking (not hot, mild or hot?) not taking into account the level of comfort each customer has with poke and ordering from here. It all cumulates at the register where you see the inexperience is top down. A lot of the weakness’ can be chalked up to them being new-ish, but they have failed to take some opportunities to make right certain experiences of mine and others. I’ll still eat here, but only because sometimes you just don’t want to sit at a sushi bar to order their version and you want more topping options and it’s close to me.
First time we had poke since we moved to oceanside. This place had good reviews. Decent selection of fresh fish and toppings. I thought the prices were high for pretty small portion sizes. The two workers seemed to have a hard time understanding me as i had to repeat myself a few times. We will probablyvtry a different place before we return.

We’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and are always greeted very friendly when we come in, and the food is BOMB. But today we came in to William serving us, he was slamming things around, tossing food out of the bowls, huffing and moping around with multiple people patiently waiting. I don’t think I’ve ever left a review on google or anywhere for that matter, but what an awful experience we had!! We could not get out of there quick enough.
Overall, not impressed. I'm confident the high reviews are from people who do not have much sushi experience. I get sushi at least once a week and had seen this place and kept wanting to try it. The wife and I stopped in and were very hopeful based on the reviews and the look of it once we went in. Pros: - Good portions for the price - Very good seaweed salad - Good assortment and choice - Fast service Cons: - All the fish tasted very bland and wasn't very fresh. Tasted like it was not thawed very well. - The sauce was very oily tasting and overall not very enjoyable. - Rice lacked the expected sushi rice taste. - The rice was too warm and in turned warmed up all the fish. Eating warm raw fish isn't appetizing. Overall the price isn't bad but I can pay $2-3 more for my wife and I for much better fish and have miso soup with it at our go to location, Go Go Japan. I won't be returning and it again say I'm shocked about the high ratings over average at best food that you can pay the same for better food.
I've been here many times and even did reviews with 5 stars. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and there's a good choice. My reason for giving 2 stars was because on my last visit they were very skimpy on the ingredients. When I asked for another scoop they said it would be a charge. I didn't add every ingredient so to give me an extra scoop of one should not have been a problem, but it was. I wish there was a consistent standard. Maybe with different people working my experience would be better.
portions significantly smaller compared to its other location in carlsbad, worker is really quiet too. I got food poisoning the day after and was sick for two days.

My food wasn’t fresh and smelled bad, especially the salmon and brown rice, had to throw it away and request full refund from DoorDash. Never getting food from poki poki ever again. Lost a loyal customer
I used to love this place until I found out how horrible the owner and service is! I will never go back even though I love it so. They made my pick up order WRONG. I bit into a blob of onions and wasabi which was specifically asked not to be in the bowl! Ouch my poor mouth... Then the owner was being a jerk about it and didnt want to give me a new bowl! I should sue for the pain in my mouth! I will NEVER EVER EVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY THERE
Ate there on Weds 8/30/22, got horribly sick. I never miss work but I called in sick on 9/1/22. Refrigeration may have not been working because the temperature was so hot that day. I called them 5 times and no answer. This place is nasty and gross. Obviously they do not care about their customers.
I just ordered a Large Bowl on Uber Eats. Whoever works there forgot half my order and then purposefully ignored my special instructions, leaving a rude message on my receipt and drawing a line to the instructions. If they couldn't make my order the way I wanted it, i have a setting that says Contact Me. Neither they or the driver bothered to contact me to let me know otherwise I would have cancelled. These people are deceitful and only care about getting my money, not giving me the product I wanted.
If I could choose 0 stars I would have. Ordered through Door Dash. Didn’t put half the stuff I ordered on it. Ordered large bowls and the proteins looked like they were for small. Called the store to complain, talked to someone named William. I would’ve gotten better conversation from a wall. Called back to try and speak to a manager. Was told the manager hasn’t been there in 4 months, didn’t know when he’ll be back. I then asked for a name and number for corporate and was told he didn’t know it. The biggest waste of $83.00! Will never ever go back to this location!
We ordered a regular bowl with brown rice, to go. My rice was hard and cold, maybe frozen then refrigerated because of how hard and cold it was. Very disappointing especially since they scoop the rice from the rice cooker right in front of us. We were deceived which hurts more than trying to eat cold rice! I feel like I can’t trust them or their rice cooker anymore.
I eat here all the time and generally am pretty happy with it, but the service that I received tonight was absolutely terrible. Ordered 2 bowls from Uber eats and they both barely had any meat, and had no sauce at all. I have ordered both in person and via Uber eats literally dozens of times and I am acutely aware of how this meal is "normally" made. I mean I literally order the exact same thing every time. They totally skimped on everything and then didn't even put the sauces I ordered on it at all, which made it taste like crap. I don't mean like a small amount of sauce, it was literally zero. Basically just a half full bowl of dry rice with some veggies on top and a hint of meat. Okay, so they screwed up the food, it happens. What was unacceptable and why I'm bothering to leave a bad review is that as soon as we got the food, we immediately realized it wasn't made correctly, so we called and explained the situation (before even eating it) and asked if we could bring the food back to have it remade or refunded. They told us it wasn't their problem and we have to take it up with Uber. As if Uber is the one who screwed up. The guy said all of the sauce must have absorbed into the rice, riiiiiiight. What garbage customer service. All he had to do was be like sure no problem come on in and we can remake it or whatever. Instead he was a jerk and told us to take it up with Uber. Grabbed a pizza instead because the bowls were not what we ordered. I guess I should consider myself lucky that the pizza place didn't forget the sauce and only put cheese on half the pizza.. cuz that's basically what happened with the poki bowls.
