This is a true gem in Redlands! This kind of shop you would usually find in Los Angeles or even Orange County. The people here are very fortunate to have this tea shop here. I ordered their Miyazaki Hojicha which was excellent and I ordered this hot and I’m sure it would also be amazing as a cold drink too. The second drink I had was their Black Sesame Sea Cream. Oh my goodness! This was another winner and a tasty score in my tastebuds book of flavors. I saw a bunch of other intriguing flavors I must try for my next visit and that’s for sure. They have a small outdoor seating area as well as the inside. The shop is super cute with a lot of eye pleasing knick knacks for you to see. The service was good and I seriously recommend this place if you’re looking for a legitimate tea spot that has Hojicha so definitely check it out.
Hoji Tea Room is the cutest little tea shop! The drinks here are catered to those with more of an acquired taste. The flavors are unique and definitely lean into the tea aspect of typical boba drinks. This place is also cute for pictures as well! The walls are decorated with art and they have a setup of old media like a vintage tv and cameras. They have a large full-sized mirror for little outfit pictures and the vibes are just so nice inside. They also sell pastries but I didn’t get to try them. I would come again for the vibes and a drink made from scratch!
The boba is amazing 🙏💯✨ Big and soft and chewy, really gives the most to the name "Bubble Tea" ! The matcha and oat milk were good quality, it wasn't too sweet, very refreshing and yumm 👌 And a decently good amount of boba in the drink, which again is incredible, low-key in a higher tier than the regular lill black boba that's most other places 🤧🤧🤧
Super good! Got the matcha yabukita and the barley with salted cream both with boba, and they are extremely well balanced of flavors. Definitely my favorite boba place for miles
I'm a big fan of tea so I wanted to go and check them out, amazing with what I discovered. Every single drink is so delicious in tea form , hot or in latte. Can't go wrong with any choice you make. I will continue to keep coming. I like the atmosphere along with the displays and artwork. Shout out to Regina for the great customer service.
Got the Miyazaki Hojicha with salted cream, homemade boba (left) and milled Hojicha latte (right). Got regular sweet and it was not too sweet! The drinks are well blended and the flavors of the Hojicha is complimented very well!
Underrated for sure. If you are a pure tea lover then this is the place for you. I had the whisked Hojicha tea latte and it's creamy, nutty and smooth. They serve specialty teas from Asia and the place is small but has outside seating. It's decor is quirky and 80's-inspired.
Cutest coffee shop ever in Redlands. Friendly staff and I thought it was sweet of the barista bringing out the drink to me. It’s my third time coming here but today it was a solo outing.
The barometer for whether I go back to any boba spot is the freshness and preparation of the boba (duh). Well, Hoju Tea Room definitely hits the mark. But I never write reviews for boba spots because I feel like the drink has been commoditized and most places taste very similar to one another. Not a lot of places carry hojicha but it's my go to when I see it. Yes, I've tried their standard steeped drinks and they're good. Love the nutty and earthy flavors. But I tried the whisked hojicha cortado and it was 🔥. Deepens the flavor profile and you get some sweetness to it. The barista mentioned chocolate notes, but I definitely didn't pick those up. I hate matcha, but I could go for another whisked hojicha. But again, not just writing a review because the drinks haven't let me down here, but because the baristas nerd out on this stuff. Rare to find places like this in the IE.
Cool vintage atmosphere. The tea flavor is amazing and it’s wonderful that they’re transparent so the where they source their tea. The black sesame sea salt foam is a wonderful option. You can adjust the sweetness by levels of 25%. The boba isn’t too sweet and has great chewy texture. Staff was very kind and helpful. Definitely a gem of a spot.
Really great matcha flavor. Probably one of the best matcha lattes I’ve had in the IE. Super cute shop. Will definitely come back to try more! Love love love
Great boba place. Not your typical boba drink. They have different kind flavors of tea. No powder mixed drink. The taste of the boba jelly was amazing. They made it from scratch. Highly recommended. Will come back here for sure
One of my all time favorite bubble tea shop in Redlands! This Asian owned bubble tea establishment has the most unique boba pearls and they are made in house! The chewiness and texture of the pearls is perfect and I love that they aren’t too sweet. The tea here is also prepped in house and everything is made with perfection in mind. The staff are diligent and kind and they pay close attention to making their teas delicious. My personal favorite drinks are the Rose Hojicha with sea cream and the black sesame sea cream with hojicha. Their drinks are not overwhelmingly sweet like other bubble tea places in the area. The interior of their shop is quite small but is decorated in a cute vintage style. It’s unassuming from the outside but cute and dainty inside. It may be a bit hard to find their shop since they don’t have a sign but look out for a small blackboard a-frame next to a cooking class.
Really nice, consise menu. The mango matcha limited drink can't be large btw, but the Thai and assam with sea form is really good, I suggest that if you don't know what to get cause I understand it's hard to know sometimes if there's no pictures on the menu. They served us even tho they were close to closing, feels like a cute and relaxed place
Soooo good the only boba place ive tried that actually has fresh tasting drinks and boba, it’s handmade and you can tell they use actual leave. I also love the vibes in the inside. It’s a tiny room with a bunch of drawings and vinyls and it builds such a sense of community. Would go again when visiting Redlands :)!
Tea was really high quality and you could tell they make their own boba I would definitely come back here but I do wish it was a bit bigger on the inside but great for takeout!

My go-to spot in the area for matcha and hojicha. I make my own matcha at home, and I know this place has good matcha (not grassy!). These guys are great at their craft! Right now they have strawberry milk and strawberry matcha and they taste great.

This is the best boba shop in SoCal. Ever since they opened, my family has regularly gone to Hoji. I like their Assam tea, but you really cannot go wrong with any of their drinks. The tea is always amazing, and their boba itself is top tier. The staff are also super friendly and welcoming, and the space is well-curated. Whenever I take my friends here, they always love it.
This spot is a hidden gem. Their handcrafted drinks and daily-made fresh Boba are absolutely phenomenal. No, there isn't a lot of room for sitting and enjoying on premises, but if you're looking for one of the best, most delicious, high-quality Boba tea beverages, this is your spot.

I thought i didnt like hojicha after trying it at another location, but after trying hoji's hojicha I've realized that I do. Their regular hojicha come already sweetened and tastes great. Service is good but the wait time is long (there were 3 groups of people who had ordered before us).

We were passing through the area on our way to Palm Springs. My daughter was very excited to try this new tea shop that didn’t exist while she lived in the area for 4 years. The reviews looked great however the drinks did not stand out at all. Parking: plentiful and easy and free in lot Menu: really difficult to decide since no prices are listed and no descriptions of items. Is it a latte with milk? Is there creamer added? Is it the foam only? If this just tea? They really need to add more descriptions and prices of drinks and upsize and boba. What we ordered: Hojicha + sea cream large 24oz with boba ($6): flavors were very weak and watered down. Could not taste strong hojicha flavors that we were expecting. The sea cream did not add much. Boba they don’t put very much. Boba was soft and flavorless. We regretted adding the boba because it really ruined the drink to have something so bland. Hojicha + black sesame large 24oz with boba ($6.50): could not taste hojicha or the black sesame flavor. Boba they don’t put very much. Boba was soft and flavorless. We regretted adding the boba because it really ruined the drink to have something so bland. Matcha latte large 16oz ($6): it was just okay. The drinks were all very pretty and service was very friendly but what a disappointment! We wish we didn’t come here and went somewhere else instead.
