The Depot not only has great beer and delicious food, but the historic setting is unique and charming! If those old brick walls could talk, what a story we would hear! All their cocktails are custom. Our server, Brianna, created my drink, Virginia City Bloom, and it was fantastic! Light, refreshing and with a great flavor! The tri tip sandwich was excellent along with particularly good sweet potato fries. There are also outdoor tables when the weather is nice. Now our favorite restaurant in Reno!

Wow, just an amazing experience. The food was as good as the beer and the setting is historic and beautiful. From the old brick walls to the original safe in the men's room. Sykes was the perfect guide to help us enjoy our lunch here, great guy. The avocado plate on the brunch menu (till 3) was amazing, imagine make your own avocado toast. The basic salad with salmon was also very generous and tasty. They have a nice selection of about 10 beers they brew and they offer flights. The german style colab that is like a sauerkraut beer was really good! Great music, friendly team, dkmeilcious food and drink, what are you waiting for?

Definitely one of the best places to imbibe and dine in a row of really great establishments downtown. My wife and I have been coming here since they opened up years ago and mainly because they were one of the first to offer distilled products in Northern Nevada. Of course, we're totally a sucker for historic buildings like this as well and I have to say, they've done a really good job of restoring it and making into a fun place to hang out with friends. Of course, in addition to offering a good selection bourbons and ryes that they've made, they also offer a host of beers and other whiskeys made by other distilleries. And, while the menu has changed a bit over the years, I will have to say that the food here is still every bit as delicious as it was. And, when the weather is nice out, they have plenty of outdoor seating as well to soak it all in. Whether you're just visiting Reno or a local looking for a new place to enjoy with friends, I would highly recommend you give this place a try.

The Depot was the perfect spot for us to spend our Sunday afternoon. The Frostbite cocktail was so good. You absolutely must try the Jalapeño Cornbread fritters and the Spanish Shrimp had the most amazing flavors. The building itself was beautiful and inviting.

Blown away by the brunch here. The breakfast sandwich was incredible. The avocado was fresh and seasoned well. All the plates had giant portions. Drinks were great too

Great service and food! We just stopped in for a drink and a snack, and we were very delighted with the corn bread fritters and the whipped feta dip.

Excellent!!! I had the depot burger. Awesome! Cooked perfectly, sweet potato fries on the side. Amazing presentation, great energy, really attractive waitresses, huge selection of drinks, all housed inside an old railroad depot. Love this place! I look forward to the next visit. Highly recommended!!!

I love this place! Been here a few times and always very pleased. The atmosphere is excellent, and a few TVs are in the bar to watch sports. I recommend the whipped feta appetizer and the Mac and cheese balls. The Mac and cheese balls are so good you won’t regret ordering them!! I want to go back to try more. Great place!

Shoutout to the amazing service first of all! We had a huge portion of the menu and some of the standouts: Butternut squash soup: super flavorful Chicken wings: Great breading and good Buffalo flavor Fish and chips: the fish was so good we put in another order Only negative is the burger and chicken burger, the meat was over cooked so it was a bit dry. But all in all, I would definitely come back and try more of the dishes!

The beer is great! The brussel sprout appetizers are great! I had the tri-tip tacos and they were good, but my wife had the shrimp curry and it was better I think.

Beautiful spot! Interior is awesome. So retro and historical and cool. Great beer. Delicious burger and fries. Must stop on any beer excursion in downtown Reno!

I was struggling a little bit finding a good food around this place, and the feta dip, steak spinach was amazingly delicious. I tried the strawberry mojito and I am not a big fan of cocktails but she made really special and tasty. I did not ask for her name but the bill check said the her name was Brianna, she also killed on the customer service. I highly recommend this place; you will not be disappointed.

Hot Chicken Sammich?! Yes sir!!! I’ve been on this wild kick of spicy crispy chicken thangs aaaand I gotta say, I’m obsessed!! The chicken is juicy and tender. It’s surrounded by this delicate-flakey crispy layer that is perfectly infused with the Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning. It is sandwiched inside a glorious fluffy brioche bun. Yelp tip… go with the “staff tip” that is printed in the description, add cheese!!! It’s also paired with a delicious homemade coleslaw. Now, I’m not a super huge coleslaw fan, but homemade?! Yas, bring it on! I don’t know what they do with their fries, but goodness gracious.. you’ll eat every last one. Love the staff here! When you’re tended to, they’re awesome! If you can fit it in, add a Caesar salad. 👌🏼I washed this amazing meal down with their Peach on the Playa cocktail, made with their own gin. I’m a total gin gal and they did a fabulous job with this concoction. The vibe here is gorgeous!!It’s an old train station, turned distillery that is perfectly accented with copper. Definitely a great gem to experience in Reno!

In this "pandemic", alot of businesses have forgotten customer service as of late. The depot had awesome customer service. We had large Bachelorette party and we were outside and it got windy and cold, they moved us inside. Food and drinks were very very good.

Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. The men's restroom has a old timey safe museum exhibit in it.

THE DEPOT, one of the places that I started visiting frequently because the food is amazing. The atmosphere is great and I also love the architecture. Did you know this place used to be a Railway back in 1910? If you go, don’t forget to visit the man’s bathroom... It has a Vault!!!

R

Food was pretty good but the standard was a little overpriced. Service was fine, without asking us they were sweet enough to compare the appetizers. Worthy of recommendation!

The food is amazing, decent atmosphere. Casual staff attire with a high end professional service Level. Hipsterific all over the place, but with purpose and skill. Nothing fake here.

We walked over from the Silverado and was able to get a table for 3 on a Friday night . Started with the corn fritters that had a coating of bit on honey yum, kale cesar, scallops 3 yummy and fish and chips that had just enough batter. The vodka soda was out of this world, the pineapple ipa was good but no real pineapple taste. Would come here again.

M

Walked over from the El Dorado for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. My wife and I both got their Manmosas a (1 Liter mimosa) I got the breakfast burrito and loved it. If I lived here in Reno I'd be here every Sunday for brunch.

Super cool atmosphere! Good staff! Only one item listed as GF, but it was right up my alley! Very nice! I recommend stopping by!

Lucky to find this place along our travels. Two other establishments were closed. 3rd times a charm. Very good selection of beers Pretty extensive bar. Didn't get a chance to try anything other than their beer. We jad the Voyager ipa. Very good. We also enjoyed the buffalo wings and the depot melt. Very delicious. When we are back in town we will definitely return. Our server was Erik. He was fabulous! We highly recommend this establishment.

Nice spot. Came here with friends to grab a drink after getting some Basque food and they took care of us well. Enough seats to accommodate us and a good drink menu. Hopefully the garnish they put into drinks is supposed to be edible or at least known in advance so people don't eat them I'd they aren't supposed to.

In Reno for a quick visit. Stopped in for beers and food!! Got wings, Brussels, fish and chips and fried mac-n-cheese. Everything was fantastic. Mac-n-cheese was just ok. Wouldn't get that again. Great venue, food a little slow to get out and service was good. Would recommend this place

Had a really awesome dinner here! The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. The cocktails were really good had the old fashioned and was impressed. Also a flight of beers that included their “Smash” series. Which is only made here. I wild recommend this place for a wonderful date night or a good time with friends. Cheers!

This is a really nice old building that has been redone and they did it quite well. The food we tried was excellent and the service was superior. We had beer samplers and they were in point. I highly suggest a stop here.

Overall: A Layout & decor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Customer service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Timeliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bathroom: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: I have been here several times & the food is always great & beer is quite good. This is a nice place & somewhat trendy but not in the best part of town. They are open for reservations during this COVID-19. I would recommend this as a good place to meet up for dinner & drinks.

Been a while since we last came here and it did not disappoint. The Ahi Nachos were great and big portion, compared to other places with a similar dish. I had the Scallops in Risotto which was great. My wife had a Short Ribs. We almost ordered another round of Short ribs just to bring home for later, they were amazing!

We have enjoyed The Depot for years. Love eating at the bar, but they have nice seating area as well. Brews and the Spirits are very good. Locally made. Nice large party area as well.

My friends and I had a great time at this establishment. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was lovely. Parking can be a bit hard to find because the restaurant is so busy (not a bad thing, just a note). My two friends each got drinks and they really enjoyed them.

This place was okay. Nothing wrong with the place or the service. Might just be out own preference. The menu was okay, I felt a little strapped for what food to order to snack on, but it's hard to go wrong with sweet potato fries and they were GOOD! It might have been the fact that they are thicker cut, versus smaller cut that are normally served. So good job management for pushing this. The drink menu was good. Lots of options. The blackberry cider I had was delicious. The staff were super friendly, nice and helpful. It took us a little while to pay and get going, maybe a little more attentive to guests at the bar just down from the other guests would have been better, but other than that it was a good experience. Definitely need to stop by here after a ball game. I would come back.

Stopped by for lunch today (actually they were serving brunch). We started off with an order of Wings and Cornbread Fritters. I thought the wings were good and the Cornbread Fritters were ok. The drinks for brunch were pretty large at a fair price. We had a large beer (pretty big mug - see picture below) My wife had a very good tasting Bloody Mary - she opted for a normal size glass but they do make these in a huge mug also during brunch. My son ordered the Fish & Chips (Cornmeal dipped Snapper with Fries),he really liked it. Two of us had the Hot Chicken Sandwich (It is tasty but spicy - be prepared for the heat) My wife had their BLT with Egg Sandwich served with breakfast potatoes and my daughter had their Po-Boy (They both said their meals were really good) The service was good and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Loved the venue. Cool building. Very clean. Service is great! We had lunch. Got the grilled chicken sandwich - recommend. Another got the Reuben sandwich which was ok but would probably pick something different next time. Fries were delicious. Definitely try their brews.

Dear Depot Craft Brewery Management, My wife and I recently dined at your establishment prior to a University of Nevada, Reno basketball game, and I wish to share my feedback. The brewery's ambiance was exceptional. The handcrafted wooden bar and exposed fermentation tanks created a distinctive and appealing atmosphere. The train-themed décor in the dining area was charming and nostalgic. Our server, Jill, provided excellent service and expertly described the diverse lunch menu. The rosemary aioli was exceptionally well-balanced. I selected the tri-tip steak sandwich with garlic fries. The beer marinade was intriguing, and the sandwich was outstanding. My wife ordered the Spanish garlic shrimp, which she found slightly over-salted due to the garlic olive oil. I highly recommend your restaurant, a hidden gem in downtown Reno, for its delicious, handcrafted dishes. Your staff was professional and attentive. Sincerely, Curtis

Great food and great service. I had the Depot Burger and I have to say it’s the best burger I’ve had in awhile, only downfall was my fries were cold. My wife had the salmon and she loved it, other than it being a little to salty, she said it was really good and would have it again. This is our second time eating here and we will be back. It’s a must try place while in Reno.

It was a Tuesday night and it was still busy.... That means they are doing something right. The service was ok. Not bad but it was obvious they were stressed due to the amount of customers they had. I had the grilled chicken sandwhich and it was good, not great. I couldnt taste the bacon/apple at all... but it was still good. Had a beer sampler and it was decent. Nothing stood out as amazing but nothing was bad. Id go back for dinner if I was with a group that had never been there.

The exterior of this place is awesome! The interior is just as cool. A modern take to an older style building. The bright colors really give the space an open airy look. The lighting they use gives the modern look and in the mens restroom they have an old safe. Definitely upscaled in the decor sense. The bartenders there are friendly and service was great! I came for happy hour and prices matched the ambiance of the place. I had a the-pom-dot-com. A vodka mixer made with pomegranate juice lemon juice and other ingredients. They have a few other drinks that I would try there that have interesting combos. We had an order of wings and they amount for one order was plenty enough for two to share. They have two flavors a bbq and buffalo. The bartender hinted that we should mix the sauces and he wasn't wrong. Really good wings, it didn't have the crunch but the flavor was excellent. The massive burger that I had was called the depot deluxe. It had a tangy bbq sauce, bacon, jalapeno cheese, and four beef patties. The bread could hold the amount of meat that was offered. It had a great taste, the meat was just a bit dry. Other than that, if you want to be wheeled out in a wheel chair. Get the burger, if not, then still come for the awesome drinks and decor.

Tacos (carnitas) and their stout was an excellent combo. The service was good. Highly recommended. I will be back.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. The food is good too with nice portion sizes so you don’t over do it. My only complaint is about the Bloody Mary I ordered. A little pricey for a below average drink. Our kind waitress asked if I like them spicy which I replied yes. Upon receiving my beverage I found that it was not spicy, but overly vinegary. I assume it contains pickle juice as the beverage itself tasted a great deal like the pickle that decorated it. Not spicy, just too much pickle juice flavor and don’t get me wrong I love pickles and pickle juice but not in my Bloody Mary which I like spicy and traditional.

Second time to The Depot. The food is more hip I'd say than the local cuisine further south. We had brussels sprouts for an app along with some spinach artichoke kale dip and kimchi. All were excellent. The server even swapped out some celery for the pita chips to help out with our lower carb diet. Our main dishes were a Depot burger, the filet mignon and an order of wings. The burger was removed from its bun and eaten with a fork and knife. It was quite delicious with the assortment of meats mixed together. The filet was as a filet should be. You could cut it with a fork and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Desert was the pumpkin mousse and it was excellent. Not too sweet, almost like eating pumpkin pie in mousse form. One of us tried a flight of alcohol with different spirits to sample. Some were better than others but that is really a personal preference. All together or family left not hungry at all and under $100 before tip. It was happy hour so that helped, but the quality was good, service friendly and atmosphere is fun.

The food and drinks were excellent! Portions were generous, both apps and entrees included, and everything was yummy. My fish and chips were made with love and an incredible sauce. The bf’s cheese platter was to die for! My pineapple sour ale was also pretty good. HOWEVER, the service was terrible. We waited a long time to be served originally, and then for about 45 minutes after our meals passed by before we got our check... which we had to ask for... it was poor. Get some service staff and my review would’ve been much better.

We came for dinner on a Saturday night. I love the industrial style in this restaurant; Great selection of beers and cocktails, and an interesting menu, but the food was underwhelming . We had all been here before and felt that it was better in the past; this time the food seemed very bland and basic. I would still recommend going here for the drinks and cheap bar food, but we probably wouldn’t come for dinner again.

L
Lee McDaniel

My wife and I shared the beet salad, it was super refreshing and delicious, maybe felt the portion was on the small side for a $13 salad that was on the entree list. We also ordered a michalda, the old fashion burger, mac and cheese bites, and bread pudding. The fries that came with my burger were so over cooked we thought maybe they were sweet potato fries, the mac bites were perfectly crispy on the outside, delicious prepared mac on the inside, and the bread pudding was under done in the middle but otherwise very good. We will be back to try more cocktails and to have that beet salad again.

E
Eric Smith

Based on my experiences here, it's hit or miss. The beer is not bad. Wings are really good, Mac balls are sometimes lukewarm. Not all the bartenders are the friendliest. Worst part is, the location. Doesn't matter if I'm going in or walking out, the people in that area are always trying to hit me up for something.

G
G P

This is actually my favorite brunch spot and I’ve never come here for lunch or dinner so I decided to try out because I saw they had a happy hour menu from 3 to 5 and their manmosas were listed for seven dollars. Just for the waitress to tell us when ordering that that’s a misprint and they’re actually $13 not seven dollars which if it was a misprint then either cross it out or update the menus, especially the one online that customers are referring to before heading in to your guises brewery . We ended up walking out and going to our bar because it didn’t sit right with us that It was happy hour, but the menu wasn’t reflecting of that.
