Favorites: Mediterranean pizza, Rubicon special, draft beers, and skinny Margherita. Great restaurant in Northstar village. They have a great selection of beer and cocktails. The pizza is amazing there. Apparently, they are a sister restaurant of Base Camp Pizza in South Lake tahoe

Rubicon Pizza definitely deserves more than five stars. Every bite was a slice of heaven. The crust was nice and crispy, the sauce savory, and the toppings are fresh. The staff is very friendly, management is top notch and goes above and beyond. My kids loved the pizza. I highly recommend Rubicon Pizza.

I tried to get food here a couple days ago but it didn't work out. Came back for a second try and it's amazing I'm glad I did! Having some mozzarella sticks to start and so far so good! Live music tonight as well. A handful of my friends, quite a large handful, came here a couple days ago, When they were here for a conference, for a big get together and they loved it. They even brought water for the dog who is enjoying the concert. Excited to come back next time I'm in the Lake Tahoe area getting some skin in this coming ski season hopefully!

Super good and fantastic staff! The cheese bread was so good. The cheese crackers things were just as delicious. I had the elevated margarita and it was so good, not to sweet! Our server was busy but so attentive. We actually walked right in at lunch time but I would bet normally you need a reservation. You do have to park far away and there are shuttles to ride back and forth.

We were staying at Northstar Lodge and the Village is across the street. We were told Rubion Pizza was good. We were glad to see that it was a good size inside for dining since many of the restaurants in the Village are small. We always get a medium pizza wherever we go. We always order half the pizza with pepperoni and black olives, the other half has sausage and mushrooms. They said they couldn’t do that on a medium pizza, we would have to order a large, that made no sense to me. We ordered the large and left half uneaten. The pizza was good. The only thing that is different are the olives. They are not the black olives, they get theirs from Italy and add their oils and seasoning. We tried them by themselves and I was not fond of them at all. If you like black olives you may not like their olives. It was a good sized restaurant with a bar and a couple TV’s. It’s in a great location in the Village. It’s right in the center, close to everything.

My partner and I come to North Star because it's his favorite place to ski. I do not partake in winter sports so when he is skiing, I like to hang around the village. Rubicon is probably my favorite restaurant at the resort. Service is always consistently good and the food isn't too outrageously priced. I grabbed lunch here recently - had wings and a soda. I loved that the wings were a good size and the sauces were on the side. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. If you wanted to watch a game, there were TVs at the bar area.

Food was ok. Pizza was a little thicker than I like but tasted good. Hummus was great. Service was super slow but they were slammed with large crowds. The manager made it up to us and that was really nice of them. Atmosphere is really nice as it's in the village and there's live music and it's a nice place to hang out

Our Mediterranean salad and calamari were really good. And I did like their signature pizza except the crust was disappointing - too doughy and not chewy. Otherwise everything was good

The first time I ate here, the pizza and service were great (May 2024). We ate outside on the patio and everything was awesome. Service was friendly and attentive and the pizza was cooked perfectly and was outstanding. When was here this week I ordered to go the service was okay not particularly friendly. But worse than that, the pizza was definitely not as good. It was undercooked. It wasn't raw, but the crust had no color, no crispy crunch or bite. Cheese, sauce and pepperoni were bland as well. For leftovers the next day I reheated in the oven to crisp up the bottom which worked, but the pizza was still not good. Very disappointing. I was really looking forward to having this again. Maybe it was a bad night. Seeing as the first time was so good, I'll be back next time I'm in the area. Hopefully this was just an anomaly and it will be as good as the first time.

Went to this restaurant yesterday (President’s Day). Place was very busy even at 7:00 at night. Waited 45 minutes to be seated. Had drink at bar while waiting. Ended up sitting there for dinner. Both food and service was very good

Really good food. Good size portions. However there is too much sauce or cheese and not enough food. At least with the pasta They have really good root beer and pizza. If you get pizza you have to get the Rubicon. It's their best pizza.

Every time i order food to go here, this is what happens. I get a message saying my food is ready. I enter the restaurant and I wait like 5-10 min. to receive my order after making eye contact with like 3 employees. Why? Is it so difficult to greet someone as they come in your restaurant and freaking hand them their food? It isn’t…

Came in with our two kids on a Friday afternoon around 6pm and found out there was a 20-30 minute wait with the nicest hostess in the world. He informed us we can order to go and sit outside if we were on a time crunch which we were with our 2 year old son. Put our name down and I thought I would give the to go option a try which may be faster and we could dine outside since the kids had their ski clothes on. Walked to up to the to go counter to find no one there. There was a guy in front of me. Waited for 5 minutes and the nice guy in front offered me to go first. The bartender, a baby face guy with a beard walked up and took my order. After I placed our food order I asked if they have lemonade to which he mumbled something back. I asked do you have fresh squeezed lemonade for my kids at which point he got agitated and turned red in the face picked up a plastic cup sitting on the bar stating it’s a fountain lemonade that’s served in a plastic cup like he was talking to my two year old son. He repeated the order and said it will be about 30 minutes. I was surprised by the wait time given this was a to go order. I asked about the wait time to make sure I didn’t misheard. He responded in a very frustrated and condescending voice saying is this your first time here and how the restaurant is super busy and this and that. This was followed by a red face and angry face baby face asking me if I would like to cancel the order which I was happy to do given my interaction with someone who obviously doesn’t know anything about customer service. We’ve always had pleasant service at Northstar Village over the past two decades but this was something I wasn’t expecting from a family oriented business establishment. Wishing baby face all the best on his future endeavors. I am sure he’ll be on the winning side of life:)

I’ve been here 4 times. First time the service was amazing as I was seated but the pizza lacks in flavor the base is like cardboard. The other 3 times I got the spaghetti Bolognese and the dish itself is incredible however the portion is tiny. You’re paying 25 dollars for takeaway pasta it’s already expensive and then they charge a service charge which is another 3 bucks and on top of that the tip. So effectively you’re spending 30 dollars on pasta and they won’t even fill the box. No employee discount. Lastly the female brunette haired bartender has an attitude every time I’ve been in there. I wanted to give her a chance to redeem herself incase she was having a bad day. But it’s been every time without fail. Shes rude and condescending. I’ve worked in bars my entire life and some bartenders just think they can be rude to people and get away with it. I’ve always been polite to this woman I have zero clue what her issue is but after watching her enough she’s like this with most customers and servers. Shes a decent bartender but no respect or love for the job and she ruined my experience. I won’t be returning.

I've been coming to Rubicons since 2012 at both Village locations. AM not clear why they simply cannot make a good crust. It is spongy with some crunch but oddly artificial. Toppings are fine and pear salad was great ( hence 2 Stars and not one). I miss sushi at this location. Mediocre pizza, blah.

I went in to pick up a to-go order and stood at the bar for about five minutes while the bartender clearly saw me and ignored me. I politely said “hi” several times and was still ignored. When he finally responded, he accused me of being rude because he was serving someone else. Extremely disrespectful and unwelcoming. On top of that, they charge a 15% service fee for takeout with service this bad. Not worth it.
