Very good hot chocolate for the chilling temperature.
Pricey, but good food.
Pricey. But, lots to offer. Everything here is delicious
Ted, Barb, and Micky rock the show. Great food!
Great location, great dining choices
The people are so helpful and friendly. Even during Covid.
Fast, friendly and efficient checkout lines!
Great ski resort. It's the only time we've been there (winter).
This place gets paaaacked! Make sure to stagger your lunch if you don't want to wait warm and wet in line for 25 minutes
Good food, chilli peppers is the best. David and David are amazing chefs.
It was my first time skiing Northstar and I loved it!
The chili hit the spot. The for options are priced like they are on the to of a mountain, but it tastes good and keeps the skiing going :)
perfect for a break with some good food and a brew while visiting the slopes
For being a lodge the food has pretty decent food and service is quick.
Very nice place to eat. A bit expensive but that was expected.
Good service. Endless free fresh water provided.
Very nice people, great accommodations. Just what we wanted.
My favorite place to eat during a day of skiing
Very well run. Great items...great price...but it's all about the staff and management. They make it a joy to stop by!!!
Nice place to stay in the winter. It is close to the slopes and walking distance to some bars.
First time here despite visiting and eating in Truckee a lot over the decades. Excellent service and food. Funky, historical-ish ski-ish decor. You'd never guess how good if you judged solely by the appearance of the raw driveway / access environment, which is a bunch of condemned cabin/cottages that were apparently once some kind of motel (?) A fun addition to a long list of great ways to experience Truckee.
Good cafe. I usually have chicken tenders which is good. I had pulled pork sandwich the last time I was here which was not that great. There was a lot of BBQ sauce on the pork which was not super tasty
Only place up on the mountain that has food unless you go down to the village. Its alright its nothing special but good enough to eat and get back on the trails!
Not crowded on Sunday. Plenty of patio seating, deck chairs. Looks like it was recently remodeled on the inside.
The food here is much better than Sky Deck. It's filling and generally pretty tasty. It's pricey, of course, but that's to be expected at a ski resort. The garlic fries are really good!!
A good place to ski for beginners as well as experts. It was easier to teach at thos resort since it has a longer green run amd its wide.
The village is an awesome place to hang out. Food, beverages, and the best views
Drinks and food are decent. On the expensive side.
A little bit expensive for just fast food.
Good place to get break after a ski
Great view with a side of fries.
I bought a bottle of water and a candy bar. Unfortunately everything is closed because of the pandemic so maybe I'll have to review it again later
It provides the rest and refuel you need while enjoying the slopes
Food was delicious and great view. We were able to see Jupiter
place is pretty clean, but damn, food and drink are expensive.
Good burger and mac and cheese but jeez way too pricey. 28$ a burger!!!!!
Good food lots of snow reroof in progress done by the #1 MILLS ROOFING INC
Everything is great except prices but it's a resort.
Pizza was OK, but the drinks were great.
Great location on a great mountain. Check with the Northstar resort for operating hours.
It tastes good, but no healthy items :(
Decent meal options and mountain process about as usual.
It's a nice place with expensive food. I wish there were a few places to warm your toes.
Good food options given location, always crowded, great for a bite between runs.
Decent place to grab a bite though a bit expensive. Bloody Mary's are good and the tacos are the best lunch they serve. Make sure to hit the salsa bar
One of the reasonable places to stop for lunch at Northstar. It's better to stop at one of the other lodges if you're looking for a view. However, at this lodge sells a loaded baked potato that is ENORMOUS and a good value because it could feed 3 people lunch.
Expensive (like, $12 drafts) but super friendly service and lots of seating. Food is actually pretty good, but my suggestion would be to buy drinks and pack your own lunch.
Convenient when you're out skiing. It is pricey but the food is alright. They sell drinks and alcoholic beverages too.
Very crowded on weekends. Food is way overpriced for the quality. Make sure to have a few 20 dollar bills with you or you will not be able to buy anything.
The food is delicious. Portions are good. Finding seating indoors can be difficult. Overpriced though!
Good food but not many options for breakfast. For lunch is a really good option the problem is seating. Prices are fair.
Very good, drawback is a lot of people. There's almost impossible to park after 10 in weekends
Sometimes hard to find a seat at crowded times, but other than that the food is good and it's a pretty standard ski lodge
food is not good. 4 star is for their facility members and they provides complementary water hot water microwave etc.
Buy food at off peak hours and u can get a pizza, cookie or chips, and a drink for 14 bux (Pepporoni pizza alone costs 16 bux)... The combo applies for chicken tenders...
This is a good place to stop and have lunch during your Northstar ski experience. However, I can't give it five stars because the prices are at least double the normal cost. That applies to everything sold here. Options for vegan or vegetarian guests are very limited. All that aside, it's a nice ski lodge, and the food is fine if you like burgers, fries, pizza, chicken tenders, etc. Lines are usually short, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is clean and tidy.
This place is located at the centre of all the skiing St the resort. The food here is alright and reasonably priced. There is plenty of seats but also plenty of people so there may be a wait. Upstairs there is a bar, more seating and a charging station. Downstairs there is more seating, restrooms and some lockers. It is also a good place to escape from the cold. There are fires located outside.
Nice, friendly atmosphere. Good food and quite a variety (pizza, burrito, burgers, salads, chips / fries, crisps / chips, chocolate and other snacks). Good selection of drinks as well including one of the best Bloody Marys you've ever seen. There's also toilets / restrooms, reasonably priced lockers ($7 for a small locker for the day, $9 for a medium, little bit more for a large), free water fountains and free phone chargers. And there are the customary fire pits outside. The only real downside is the price. I know it's a resort but a pint of shocktop and a Malibu and coke is $22, $25 when you add the tip in! That's £20+ for a beer and a short! That's insane prices! That's more expensive than a resort in Norway! You're not supposed to but bring a packed lunch and a couple of beers and leave them in a locker.
Always need more seats inside but lots outside. $12.50 for a can old beer seems a bit absurd as as the $4.25 for a small bag of chips. Will bring my own food next time.

Clean tidy ok Wi-Fi.
Decent ski lodge food BUT you need a cosigner to pay. Way too expensive.
Super expensive. Also they sell alcohol. Water is free though.
Way too expensive. Only game in town as a they say; convenient though.
Decent food, pizza or Thai chicken wrap best bets
Pizza gross! But fries and buffalo chicken salad great. Way overpriced but everybody knows that.
Good bar, food is over priced for what it is. Way too many people
It is to expensive to eat there unless u only come up two or three times a year. Taco bar out side is the best thing bout this place. Fries are 6 dollers and u don't get that much either. Better off packing a lunch or getting some thing just add water hot cereal or like instant mashed potatoes to go with the over priced chicken tenders. Hot water is free and it's all you can drink hot chocolate once u buy the overpriced cup. Bring tea bags too better then over priced tea. Skiing is begining to be a privileged thing to do here at North Star and that just the way they want it. Just remember that the next time u go if you are not rich they could care less. Sad really.
COVID restrictions are making it harder to enjoy your time on the slopes. No lockers, no indoor seating, limited seating outside. Also, there are people walking up/down the lift lines calling out anyone who happens to have their mask down so be ready to be chastised by lift line workers.
It's very convenient. But it is always crowded despite the three floors of room. The food is overpriced (but what ski lodge isn't) and hit or miss.
Great location, modest food, certainly improving over the years. Phone charging station, restrooms, and plenty of brown bag lunch space.
In the ski season this place is crowded as hell and the food is not very good. Plus expensive.
The view from the patio is awesome and nothing beats having a beer outside on a sunny cold day. Food is OK and overpriced (welcome to “captive markets 101”). Finding a spot to sit during rush hour is very stressful (unless you liked “hunger games”).
Love how you can access the lockers all day! The food was poor quality for how expensive it was (even for a ski resort). There are charging stations as well which is nice. I'd say overall it's a pretty average lodge though.
Nothing too special about the food here. $21 for 5 chicken tenders with fries. Expensive as expected due to the season. Then again, it is a lodge in the middle of a mountain, so there is that. It's a nice place to take a break while skiing/snowboarding. Limited seating so it's difficult to find a spot to eat on the weekend. They do serve alcohol
The food is very meh. Chili peppers is generally good and the breakfast burrito is tasty. The views are the best part, especially on the top floor. Bartenders are also great, during busy days and here's one outside, one upstairs, and the large bar on the main floor.
Ok ski lodge has all the amenities and ample seating. Just prices were the highest I have ever experienced at a ski resort. So plan to spend big if you got to feed anyone and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of perks for season pass holders as I am used to at other resorts

Nice place to sit down but that's about it. Too expensive for what they offer.
Food is overpriced and doesn't taste good... It saves you time though.
Limited options, expensive, not very good, crowded. At least it's fast.
I had a hamburger that was at best luke warm, garlic frys with a cold garlic sauce, an apple and a soda. Total was $36. That's a bit high even for a great burger.
First off, be care quelle Be careful to not add Tabasco sauce to your coffee which is easier to do than you think. Let’s talk about the food. I forgot to mention that there was no visible milk container but an on marked Tabasco dispenser which is why I had spicy coffee. I did get fresh fries straight out of the fryer so they were very crispy but my chili had too many beans in it I would’ve rather had a four bean chili instead of a 5 feet and chili and less and less sour cream they go heavy with the sour cream. The burger so the burger was a little bit cold but the bacon was very crispy but also called and in the bow go with meat and cheese and bacon and chopped up lettuce lettuce. Oh I also forgot to mention that the fries were too salty and I watched her put the salt on the fries and it was a lot of salt that I couldn’t stop her. One other thing to mention was that we ordered I wouldn’t coffee and they didn’t have any coffee so I had to wait but I got the cup and had a hot chocolate which was OK. One other thing to mention about this establishment is that it it takes during the middle of the day around lunchtime wait to half to find a table I was waiting 20 minutes holding my food and eating it standing up I was waiting for a table and I eventually was invited to a table by the family that I was standing over waiting for them to leave and they weren’t leaving so I took the table and sat with them. The decor was let’s talk about the deck. The deck car was a lot of wood and there were small tables would recommend they get larger tables and less would. Anything else let’s talk bathrooms bathroom was OK very wet but had tissues.
Food is good sometimes. J1 slaves look burnt out in the kitchen. Dude wouldn't even give me fresh fries.

My partner's rental SKIS WERE STOLEN from the racks outside this place, and have not been returned in the 1.5 months since. He was charged about $800 for them. Please beware and place yours on separate racks or lock them somehow when you go inside the lodge. Service was kind in dealing with this issue but there need to be some kind of measures to avoid this, as apparently it happens by mistake very often. As for the lodge, it is extremely difficult to find seating. It's all very overpriced too, even a water bottle will cost about $5 iirc.
This place is way too small for the amount of people they get up there. You can never find a place to sit. The food is like cheap cafeteria food. It's nowhere near as good as Palisades and other Resorts that I've been to. Even the hot dog wasn't very good. They should buy them from 7-Eleven those are way better
Crazy new system of no indoor dining and 15 min max indoor warm up area. Plus very inconvenient one way traffic for use of rest rooms which actually exposes you to way more people than a simple in and out. Also have cut back on quality of food but prices are still as high. Hopefully post covid it will improve.
Food quality has gone downhill in the past few years and prices have gone up. For example the pizza used to be fresh made and really excellent, now it is always half warm and just below average. The epic burger used to come with avocado, now it does not. Overall it is just more expensive for less quality food than it used to be.

Worst breakfast burrito that I’ve ever had. It’s criminal to charge $16.50 for a burrito that’s not even warm.
Can't sell beer without food and they don't offer to sell you any cheap food. Anyone had the brains to sell saltines...?
Received very cold fries and when I asked a manager if they could heat them up said they couldn’t. They didn’t offer to do anything (offer other item in replacement or a refund). $9 for fries and they’re cold. Not worth it
Chicken tendies cost as much as a space ship
Whatever you do, DO NOT EAT HERE. I have been a skiing at Northstar for the last ten seasons and every year the food here gets progressively worse while the prices continue to rise. I had the grilled chicken sandwich recently and it was hands down thee worst food I’ve ever put in my mouth. I couldn’t finish it. I can’t imagine paying $20 for this, let alone $5, let alone any money at all. This stuff is TERRIBLE. If you’re looking for food head down and try Incline Burgers in the village, or literally anywhere else. But do not waste your money. Your wallet and stomach will be hurting guaranteed.
Limited selection of burgers, chicken tenders, sandwiches, and wraps. Also has some canned beer, soft drinks, and other beverages. Some of their food like burgers are made on the spot but sandwiches and wraps are pre-made. Service and food are mediocre but prices are absolutely exorbitant. $18+ for burgers, $8.50 for fries, oh my gosh. Basically had to sell a kidney to afford lunch here. Condiment station was also out of Ranch. If I'm paying $60 for lunch, the least they could do is keep the station fully stocked 😒
