The new location for FiftyFifty is awesome! The Hideout upstairs with the pour your own beer (taster or full size) is absolutely fantastic. The views and sunset were great. I personally really enjoyed the library with some classics. Highly recommend.
🌲🍻 Modern Mountain Gem – 50~50 Brewing Company, Truckee 🍻🌲 Just had an incredible visit to 50-50 Brewing Company in the heart of Truckee, and it checked all the boxes. This place is a modern mountain-town gem—blending rustic charm with a fresh, clean aesthetic. The ambience strikes that perfect balance: not too loud, not too quiet—just the right hum of laughter, clinking glasses, and kitchen energy. You’re surrounded by working brewery tanks right behind the bar, which adds a fun industrial vibe to the cozy mountain setting. 🍺🔥 The beer list is as solid as it gets. As Truckee’s OG brewery (est. 2007), they’ve made a name for themselves with award-winning brews like the Eclipse barrel-aged stouts, and a rotating tap of IPAs, pilsners, and more. 🍻 Now for the food… I went with the Truckee Burger, medium rare—cooked to perfection. Topped with fresh pickles, lettuce, tomato, and melty pepper jack cheese, plus a little extra mayo on the side that arrived promptly. Jess ordered the Donner Party Burger, a barbecue-style beast, and said the sauce was absolutely on point. 🍔🔥 Major shoutout to our server, Betty—she was running what looked like way more tables than most could handle, but she slayed it. Friendly, efficient, and cool under pressure. ✨ This isn’t your sleepy mountain brewpub—it’s a lively, well-run spot where locals and travelers alike come together for great food, beer, and service. We’ll 100% be back next time we’re in Truckee. 🙌 #5050BrewingCo #TruckeeEats #ModernMountainGem #CraftBeerLovers #MountainBreweryVibes #TruckeeFoodie #BurgerGoals #SierraNevadaEats #TruckeeLife #SupportLocalBreweries #BeerAndBurgers #RenoTahoeEats #NorCalBeerScene #BettySlayedIt So just adding the pizza and making a short review would probably not do it justice because it was absolutely delicious but that’s what we gotta do. Try the pizza. Definitely try the pizza.
One of the last places you can get an elk burger. Bacon, avocado, jalapeño with pepper jack cheese and garlic fries. Very good. Service was awesome, great craft beer’s and a fun environment. Will definitely be returning for years to come.
Stopped here just for a bathroom break. So I said we will have one drink just to patronize this local brewery for the bathroom break. I tried one of their locally brewed beers and it was good. Therefore, a few drinks later and a couple of wing orders, I had forgot that this was just a pit stop. I forgot to take pictures except for a picture of their coaster in which I sent to a friend that use to hang out in Truckee. However, if passing through the Truckee area, stop by Fifty Fifty brewing and you'll have some good drinks and food. Oh yeah, this is a small town and you'll probably meet a lot of key people and business owners of the town at this local establishment.
Before our dinner reservation we stopped by Quick Stop and the nachos were so good. The drinks were great too, and if I get the chance I’d love to come back!🐶
I really liked the Donner Party Porter and I LOVED the Totality imperial stout. The food was also pretty great, the Philly I had was as good as the ones I tried in Philadelphia. the wife had the pulled pork and some sort of gin cocktail that was pretty tasty. if I could afford it I'd come here a lot more. The kiddos enjoyed the pizza and chicken
Sat on the patio and had the West coast hazy, wife had the Amber ale, both were excellent. But the food and service were even better. Their fish and chips is top notch, and the fried chicken sando, Truckee style, was very good. Was a 60 degree Sunday afternoon and there were 3 other tables of people on the patio so it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
The fish tacos had the best Coleslaw on them I've ever eaten. They came with tortilla chips with excellent chunky guacamole. The others ate every bit of their pulled pork sandwiches and fish and chips. Good beers, great staff.
Everything was amazing!! We were so pleasantly surprised with the affordable prices and large serving sizes. Our waiter was super nice and food came out sooo quickly. We ordered the burrata (the pita chips were the best I ever had), harvest salad (caramelized walnuts were the best part), nachos with pulled pork, and birria tacos. Highly recommended.
Every time I go on a trip, I dream of finding a venue like this. A six hour trip to Reno isn’t very long, but finding a magical rest stop with good food and beer, that you can deem a ‘must stop’ for future trips is akin to seeing a unicorn. Obviously the surrounding forest adds to the charm, as does the wooden structures surrounding Fifty Fifty. Stepping out of your car, you’re hit by the quality of the clean air and amazing beauty and it puts you in such a peaceful state of mind. My colleagues and I said simultaneously, “I could live here happily the rest of my life.” God bless Truckee. Fifty Fifty Brewing is a restaurant as well as brewery. They have some of the top rated beer in the Sacramento/Truckee/Reno area, having won medals for many of their brews. Lots of swag available if you feel like representing, plus beer to go for the responsible drivers. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Staff was incredibly friendly, creating a small town atmosphere where people care for own another, now each other’s lawns, and neighborhoods where doors can be left unlocked. The food? I don’t even know how to describe the deliciousness of the burger I had. It had cream cheese and jalapeños on top of a burger patty so thicc it would make Kim Kardashian envious. I ordered it as an experiment, expecting to be disgusted, but from rhetorical first bite I was mesmerized. I’m salivating while writing this review, reminiscing the kaleidoscope of flavors. My two colleagues were equally overly satisfied with their meals. The beer we had were awesome and paired well with the meals.

We come here almost every time we’re in town. Love the soft pretzel appetizer. Also tried the cheese curds this time which were good too! The best thing on the menu are the grilled shrimp tacos - they are some of the best I’ve had and they are loaded! They don’t skimp! And they always have cool merch for sale!
We really wanted to come here after seeing a TV excerpt on them. We were not disappointed. We choose the beer flights and it was so much fun trying the different types of beer. They were all delicious. We only had appetizers but they were so flavorful and filling. The absolute best things about FiftyFifty Brewing Co are the staff and the atmosphere. Very comfortable and relaxing environment and the most friendly staff we have come across in a long time. We will be returning again very soon, next time for a full meal and more beer flights.

We got the bbq wings for starters they make everything in house. The wings were Awesome. The cilantro jalapeño coleslaw was incredible. Just the right amount of bite. Elk burgers hit the spot Justin was our server. He was extremely helpful and told us how everything was made in house and how they do it. Thanks, Justin. We will definitely be back next time. We are in Truckee.

Craft local beer brewery that also serves up delicious burgers, cheese curds, salads, pizzas, and tacos. In addition to the wide beer selection, they also serve cocktails and wine. Large spacious interior, as well as a large outdoor patio area. Fast and efficient service. Large free parking lot shared with other local businesses.
We stopped off at this spot on a Wednesday afternoon and were immediately seated by a very nice hostess. The wait staff was all very attentive, and we never had any issues if we need something. The facility itself was well appointed and clean. For the beer, I got their Hazy IPA and it was fine. Not the best I've had but certainly not bad either. I only got the 1 beer though. For the food, we got 4 items: The Cheese Curds - There were amazing, I want to go back just for them. Like really really good. The Pretzel w/ Beer Cheese - This was very good, the beer cheese had great flavor and the pretzel was well baked. The French Dip - This was where the issues come, it was like $16 and it just didn't have enough meet on it. It almost had more bread than it had meat :( The Chicken Sandwich - It was well fried, but my wife thought it may have been a frozen chicken breast and didn't have great flavor. So the bottom line is that it's worth a stop, and I plan to hit it again, but I'm probably sticking the Curds/Pretzel.
Went here for a friendly dinner gathering. Ordered the flank steak(medium rare), flavor was excellent but the steak was more on the tough side. Steak was served with mash potatoes and asparagus. Mashed potatoes were deliciously buttery, and the asparagus were roasted perfectly for tenderness in every bite. Service was decent, but could've been better. Overall this joint is a bit above average for a brewery style restaurant.
Cool spot! Wish we had more time to try their beers, but we were stuffed after dinner. The one beer we had which was a stout was really good. Food was yummy. I had a fresh chicken salad and although I ate for days, I felt like it never went away; portions were good. The hubby had Birria tacos with fries and both were delish. For dessert we shared a brownie with ice cream and whip cream. This was very decadent, and I would recommend sharing amongst a few. We were not able to finish. The atmosphere is very lively and fit for families, couples or even large groups. Baylee was our server, and she was friendly and very attentive. Would definitely come back again.

Great brew pub! Large selection of terrific beers (of course!) and a lot of food options. The food is consistently good - we had the fish tacos and the grilled shrimp tacos last time we visited and they were perfectly cooked and good portions. Good place to take the family as it’s kid-friendly. It gets super busy during high season, so plan ahead if you have a large group.
Great spot , good service. The burgers were really good. Good beer and great ambiance. Only downside was the fries were cold when the food came.
We came in for a quick bite before heading back home and though there were pluses like short wait time for food and friendly staff, our food was extremely salty! I got fries with my turkey burger and it was alright but the quality of the meat seems like it was previously frozen so it’s just ok. My main complaint was the saltiness. Definitely got my sodium intake for the week.

Always really liked their beer and will continue to buy it when I see it around Truckee, but the food at pub has disappointed us on a number of occasions... Last night we ordered a chicken sandwich, wings, Oktoberfest pretzel and a reuben. Wings were okay, pretzel was good, but the chicken in the sandwich was like rubber and my reuben was super dry and didn't have hardly any sauerkraut in it. Fries that came with the sandwich and reuben were between cold and room temp. Walked out with a bill for $125 for three people, just not worth it... I think I'll be getting my beer at the bar or takeout going forward!
This place is in a nice location with decent parking Nice atmosphere. That’s why I gave it two stars otherwise I would give it zero the staff is extremely grumpy customer service is the most important. Not here. They could care less if we were there or not. from the host all the way to the management. Bad attitudes. You have to wait to be seated when the place was only half full. Four of us were there during Christmas, and none of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there even when we asked the waitress to give us a second to look over the menu. She had a snotty attitude when she walked away.. My cousin went to the bar. They completely ignored her. Nowadays most breweries are first come first serve seat your self wherever it makes you happy. They’re trying to segregate people by their party size Even though the place was not full. We seen another family have a problem with the same situation well we were waiting. Im guessing they just don’t care since it’s mostly out of town customers I’m hoping the owner of the nice place can fix the issue. Happy holidays

I couldn't wait for 50 50 to open. since my husband works 10 hour days at the local post office eating out is not an option as he gets home late and wants to relax. Take out is a good choice for these Evenings looked online for the link to order online but since they recently opened they hadn't finished the site and were not able to take online orders. I called the restaurant. They said they don't take telephone orders but to "come in" and place my order. I live 3 doors down from the restaurant and waited until a half hour before my husband got off work. when I arrived there were 2 parties in line ahead of me. it was exciting to have a vibrant place so close to home and with what looked like a great menu. when I got to the reception area I informed them that I wanted to place a to go order. I was told they were too busy to help me. I asked when would be a better time to get take out and was told " when we are not busy " then another woman came to the desk and snapped " what does HE want" I said take out. she told me there was no way cuz they had a private party upstairs and were busy. I asked her when would be a better time and she said to just make sure we are not busy. do I asked if takeout was going to be available on a regular basis she told me yes if we are not busy. seemed to me that they not only turned away a paying customer who is loyal to the neighborhood businesses but also created an environment that was hostile. . My desire to welcome them to t and he neighborhood and make my way through their menu has soured. I look forward to giving my business to people who want my business and can show respect to potential patrons. I guess it might be a good choice if they are slow and need to make some money on a night when they are slow enough to provide service. Too Bad!? We really had looked forward to giving our business to another local establishment .
