First time here and certainly not last! What a cute atmosphere with intimate setting. The service was very attentive. All food served together for our table or 4. Portions are filling. We got the Rigatoni con Salsicca with no cream and it was delicious with pasta cooked al dente. The lobster ravioli was good but very seafood taste if that’s what you’re looking for. Dessert menu has something for everyone. Tiramisu made in house. Affogato was a good serving. The lava cake was perfectly warmed up. Parking is parallel parking in this walking area. Weekday nights are not busy it seems. They have a private dining room good for a group dinner. The bar area was rowdy but they were in a separate wing of the space so it wasn’t a bother.
This is a very nice Italian restaurant, but not too fancy. Everybody in my group loved their food, from the pizza to many different noodle dishes. We had a small problem with one of the dishes, and the server took care of it immediately. The decor is very nice and has a very Italian feel. Although not busy when we went, I am told they can be very busy so I recommend reservations.
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the best Manhattan which took me by surprise. Tried the Seafood Paella and it was incredible! Generous portion and the flavor was amazing. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. We may have found our new favorite Italian Restaurant.
would totally recommend this place for a cozy, and reliably good dining experience. service was friendly and fast, and the food/presentation was above average for sure. my only qualm was that the calamari was dry and too light in flavor but it could just come down to personal preference. overall, a great pick if ur in the area !!
Celebrated my birthday dinner here last week. Made the reservation on Google. It was confirmed by text message twice. Had a great time! Live atmosphere but not over crowded. Food was good, drinks were good! Bartender with the locs( David?) was great energy! I had never been here before and was not disappointed!
Phenomenal food at reasonable prices. The pasta was excellent, portion size was perfect, and the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. There is usually an extensive selection of specials, including superb steaks. Fantastic wine selection as well.
Our server Jonika made us feel welcomed as soon as we sat down. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and the wine list. Food came out perfect and delicious, and the little details of the restaurant were perfect. I loved how they presented the parmesan cheese. Perfect for date nights. Really a gem in the middle of Renton
I love the food here. Came here twice already with my best friend. I always try to get something off the specials menu.
Hands down Our favorite Italian restaurant in downtown Renton! David the bartender makes delicious drinks. We love his energy!🍹 Most dish are super delicious! Highly recommend this place :)
It is one of the best Italian restaurants that I’ve tried in Greater Seattle area. There is live music as well on certain days. Farfalle Allá Marianna and Tiramisu are one of the best here. I’ve been here multiple times. You should drive here if you want to have good Italian food.
Ordered for two: pizza, calamari and two glasses of wine; they were all 🤌 Server took a good care of us. Pro-tip: For wine- get a bottle(better deal)
Love this place! It's the perfect date night spot, or a great place to go out with family and friends. We've never had a bad meal here. Some favorite menu items include the calamari, mussels and clams, caprese salad, seafood paella, gnocchi bolognese, filet mignon in cognac sauce, and tiramisu.
A wonderful surprise! My husband and I were going to go to another nearby restaurant, but the wait time was too much. We ran across the street to Marianna's and were more than blown away by the food and service. My husband is in the meat industry and loved the steak dish (I haven't heard him rave about steak like this in a long time). The seafood and pasta were delicious as well. The dishes were good sized portions. Erik our server was very knowledgeable on the food and menu. The whole dining experience reminded us of Italy (where we met)!
Marianna is one of our favorite restaurants in Renton. The food is exquisite. We like to sit at the bar for happy hour and get $13 pasta or pizza, discounted appetizers, and discounted drinks. The bartenders are friendly, fun, and make the experience special every time. Get the Marianna cocktail!! The servers are polite and attentive but don't hover. While they don't have many vegetarian or vegan options on the menu, they are happy to make substitutions or adjustments to accommodate dietary restrictions, including gluten free pasta. Would recommend to anyone looking for excellent Italian food and an enjoyable experience.
Had the lobster ravioli with an added lobster tail. It was literally one of the best things I've ever eaten. Service was excellent as well!
First time visit. Comforting atmosphere with wonderful service. We ordered truffle fries for an appitizer, and they were really good. The chopped salad was fresh and very nice. I had a pizza, and it was so good! Just like I've had in Italy. My wife had the chicken marsala, and it was to die for. The carrots were done just right also. The desserts all sounded wonderful, but we tried the strawberry gellato, by recommendation, and it was amazing. We will definitely return, as it's on my favorites list now.
We had a great dinner at Marianna's the other night! Lobster paella was on the specials list, and it was truly special! We love visiting Marianna Ristorante for a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent food!
The food, service and environment is A+++ every time I come. I did have less than perfect experience with my meats, the veal was tough and the filet mignon was undercooked but the flavor is amazing. I think it was just an off night. Highly recommended still
Marianna is hands down one of the best restaurants in the Seattle Metro. The food is some of the freshest, most authentic Italian cuisine you will have the pleasure of enjoying. The staff is energetic, fun, and extremely personable. If you enjoy calamari, this is your spot! Marianna is home to the best calamari I’ve ever had, and I work in the travel industry for a living… *chef’s kiss*. The pastas are fresh, the sauces are authentic… try the gnocchi gorgonzola! Less than $30 for an appetizer, entree, and cocktail? Exceptional value! If David offers to make you a drink, and be prepared for a laugh… Trust whatever this gregarious man recommends. The restaurant venue itself may look like an Italian pub, with some interesting decor choices… Believe me when I say, it’s clear the food, the service, the overall experience… You will NOT leave disappointed.
What a hidden gem. Great food, great environment, was a fun date. The prices are great for how quality the food is. We didn’t expect to find such a good Italian restaurant in the little downtown area of Renton. Will definitely return here again.
The restaurant that I walked in to had a one hour wait, so I walked a little ways and found Marianna Ristorante. I'm not from the area so I had no idea, just taking a shot. I'm so glad the other restaurant had a one hour wait. It was so good here I came back the next night. The food is amazing and I was able to sub for gluten free pasta. I had the pasta with smoked salmon. It was AMAZING. Come here, don't hesitate, just do it. You will not be sorry.
Service was attentive and considerate. I had the parm with pasta. The cutlet was perfectly cooked, it had just the perfect balance of breading, cheese, and sauce. The pasta was not drowned in sauce and complemented the protein. I would highly recommend trying at least once. Several items are made inhouse daily and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Marianna's is a great little spot..! Warm and inviting, and the ambiance is fitting of somewhere you'd enjoy spending time savoring a meal. Overall a nice place to go for a Friday or Saturday night dinner date. The pasta dishes are very good with their house made sauces and original flavors. I had the sausage rigatoni (a favorite), and my wife enjoyed the lobster ravioli. If you think you made a meal decision, make sure to ask about the off-menu specials, they'll tempt your pallet and you might just change your mind. The staff is friendly & attentive, and our server (bartender) David came to the table with a smile, and took pride in the presentation of his cocktails. I tried "The Godfather", a bourbon drink with some citris zest. My wife chose a traditional lemon drop martini and it was crafted perfectly, not too sweet, not too sour...it was just right! Whether in the mood for a drink or an evening meal out, put Marianna Ristorante on your list of spots to try in the downtown Renton area.
Amazing service here! Christian's energy was awesome and he took great care of our group. Food was on point and very homemade but the cheesecake was the best I've ever had!
Delicious food, good portions. I wish we'd gotten some crackers or bread with charcuterie, but still delicious and abundant. I was very happy with the veal parmigian. Limoncello Gelato was a refreshing way to finish. The Limoncello cake was also delicious.
Still out favorite Italian restaurant in town. Service is excellent and friendly. Happy to change any dish to your request and good sized servings.
Billy Joel would approve of this Italian restaurant. Really great menu and service. Ricotta gnocchi on pesto was perfection. Really lovely time.
Warm lighting and a even kinder environment lend to a sophistication of Italian cuisine rarely felt in downtown Renton. My mother, my beautiful wife and my brother always tell me how much they love and wish to return to Marianna Ristorante. The food is delectable, the atmosphere is clean, warm and inviting and the service is absolutely top notch! The wine is elegant/sophisticated and lends to an even better experience. Our FAVORITE waiter Adam is always an absolute gem of a time! His respectable demeanor and calm yet inviting presence puts us at ease every time we dine here, and makes each and every one of us feel as if we are family. He truly is a wonderful waiter, skilled in presentation and educated highly in the pairing process of good Italian red wine with whichever cut of beef you choose with your meal! I hope all who read this give this decadent restaurant a try and always ALWAYS order the fried Burrata, the vodka cream sauce with white truffle is exceptionally delicious......Oh btw.....as is every dish we have tried here already! Marianna Ristorante has a special place in my heart, and i am so lucky to have such exquisite Italian food just a quick 5 minute drive away! With Gratitude, Nick J
Friendly, attentive staff serving up good cocktails, a respectable wine list for almost every budget, and a menu featuring traditional and PNW-influenced Italian dishes. The fried calamari was a solid performer with a bright aioli, and the sauteed mushroom appetizer special was a savory treat! I had the bowtie pasta in a cream sauce with salmon. Fantastic melding of flavors! If you appreciate a solid Italian red, I recommend their montepulciano. When you come in, ask for Francia, she was a wonderful server, And David behind the bar was holding it down! Thanks, y'all!
Took a couple of key business colleagues out to dinner last night to Marianna’s! It was fantastic! The food was delicious! The pasta was amazing! I had the GF Pasta Carbonara and it fabulous! The ambience was quiet but not too quiet! Great Tuscan wine too!
Extra kudos to Adam. There was a mixup with our reservation and he handled an unexpected 27 people on a Monday evening with professionalism and patience. He did an excellent job getting everyone in our party served in a timely manner. Also, the food was amazing and I plan to return (perhaps for a quiet, romantic meal this time!). Thank you for making this event memorable!
I really enjoy this restaurant located in downtown Renton right on the corner and when you enter, you just feel like you are welcomed in such a comfortable and family like atmosphere. Whether you’re in the dining room or in the bar, the servers and staff are all kind and courteous and the food is absolutely wonderful, with incredible sized portions and quality. I highly recommend dining in or taking out, this is a wonderful location and restaurant.
They started us off with bread and olive oil. The bread was ok but the olive oil with vinegar was good. I ordered the truffle fried. The sauce was good. I had a bite from my friends ‘orders. Everything tasted good. Chicken parmigiana was my favorite out of all the dishes. Chicken was tender and crispy, and right amount of sauce.
Krissy took exceptional care of us. She was very accommodating regarding our gluten concern, she was very attentive in every detail, she works tirelessly serving everyone in the bar area, and she does all of this with a big smile and playful demeanour. Our dinner was good. We shared the gluten free Margherita Pizza, it was just OK. The pizza could have used more sauce, more cheese, more everything really. With more ingredients it would have been perfect, more like a REAL thin crust pizza. The Gamberi AL Caperi (Tiger Prawns) was very tasty but not worth $16, $12 absolutely. Bottom line, Krissy is the reason we would return.
Veronica and all staff was so kind and professional ! Best part of the Ristorante ! Nice Menu. The minestrone didn’t have beans ?? I was hopping for my Nona’s minestrone ! 🫣. Italian song’s playing!! So nice ! I Order Gnocchi. Was TOOOOOOO fat, and I really like fat food, but was to much ! I’m sorry ! I couldn’t eat everything. Just look at the pictures !
I was looking for a good Italian restaurant to eat at while away and I stubbled across this place. I called to ask about dining in or out and the man, Christian, that answered was full of energy and light. I loved his vibe so I was sold on going. When we arrived we were greeted by who J knew was Christian. He sat us close to the bar at a table and the bartender/server, Anna, was introduced to us. She was great to us the whole time. She let me taste a couple wines so I could make a decision and I went with the merlot. When she returned to our table she read off the specials and I went with the seafood pasta and my friend had the ribeye steak. When the food came out it looked amazing. I liked mine but it just needed a little more seasoning and kick. I added hot pepper flakes. I tried my friend's steak and it was so good! This place was so good and I am glad I stubbled on it. I would of easily given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the pasta needing a little more to it. I would definitely come again if I am in town.
You can tell this food is authentic! The flavors were so rich. It was a busy evening so service was a little slower than what we are use to but it was worth the wait. We had drinks, fries, pizza, pasta and desert. I strongly recommend anything on the menu. Their take on the different foods items make it such a unique experience. We will be back.
The service was AMAZING. I got the Siciliana picante pizza. The flavor was there, but I feel like the pizza crust could of been cook a little more. Don't get me wrong I still inhaled it. My girlfriend got some salmon pasta that even I liked, and I don't like seafood. Don't remember the name of hers, but I added a photo. I also got some of their IPA to wash it down and it was probably the best beer I've ever had. The prices are extremely fair, and our server (didn't get his name) was perfect. Super friendly, knew the menu and ingredients like the back of his hand. I live no where's near this place, but I would def go back!
Great value for the prices, servers were entertaining and very good. Cocktails left some thing to be desired. Marianna is not in my top list of Italian but I would certainly not decline going again if someone asked/wanted to go.
I would say the portion itself was generous. What you see before you is the seafood Paella with grilled salmon, battered crunch shrimp, grilled chicken, and chicken sausage. The risotto was to be a saffron infused risotto. Unfortunately I'd give it about 6.5 out of 10 as the risotto itself tasted extremely fishy. Needles to say, the rest of the meal was amazing. The mussels were prepared well and not under done nor rubbery. The in house bread is a knockout especially the olive oil blend they have. The flavor is heavenly and really compliments the bread. I would love to try other items in their menu as this was good, but not my personal favorite. I look forward to updating this review later on down the road when we return. The waiter was also very attentive but not pushy , which made the dinner that much more enjoyable. I'm really glad we found this spot!
Our server was attentive, personable, and made the evening memorable. The carbonate was delicious and the paella has so much seafood. The chicken was a bit dry; I'm sure I could've had it refired, but it was tasty nonetheless.
Yum. Good Italian food from scratch! I l had the pesto linguine. The food was not fake tasting like the fake Italian fast food chains. This place us warm and welcoming. Our server was attentive and very entertaining! I recommend this place for a family outing or happy hour. I came here for happy hour but stayed for dinner also.
The prices are reasonable. Some things are on the more affordable end, but some are prices you'd see at a high end steak house. Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed.
I'm only giving this a 4 because the bartender on Wednesday was awesome. He sat us right away even though we weren't in his section. Our server never came to help us until after another server took our order after seeing us there a long time. Food was not great.
Lucky reservations were made, guess Thursday night large group party not far from our booth. Ate family style. Calamari, beet salad, apple salad, and two pizzas. Everything was DELICIOUS. our server was AWESOME so sorry I forgot her name. It was a lovely Thursday night after work boozing and bitching fest.
A little pricy but well worth the visit to the restaurant. Good food and lots of variety to pick from. The only down side of this place is the lack of parking in down town renton for parking. Food can range from very good to a little on the dry side.
Our first visit to Mariana Ristorante left us with a generally pleasant impression, particularly due to the prompt service and the attentive care of our waitress. We were especially pleased with how quickly our chosen dishes - the pasta with Manila clams and the salmon pasta - arrived at our table. While the flavors were enjoyable, we found them to be somewhat familiar, leaving us hoping for a touch more innovation or a distinctive element to elevate the dishes. As our group was of a medium size, we did find the area where we were seated became a bit too warm for comfort as the evening progressed.
A very nice restaurant. Been going there for years. Yesterday the bartender had to also serve tables in bar. This definitely slowed down the overall service as it was stressful for her. The chicken Marsala was not fresh. Tasted liked it was previously frozen as it was tough and chewy. Never experienced that before as I usually only order that when I go. In today’s environment where everything is so expensive, I might try a different Italian restaurant.
Clams and mussels were stinky when they arrived. Tasted unfresh. We tried a little then left the rest. Service was good, they gave us 2 free dessert items. That was nice, but we won’t be coming back. My stomach felt a little uncomfortable after I got home, although no vomiting or diarrhea.
My Washington salad tasted like a ton of garlic was poured on my salad. I hate garlic- now I’m living with the constant taste of garlic! Just gross!
