Best place ever omg no bagel shop in Dutchess can even remotely come close 😋 10 outta 10 foh real
Their burgers, fries, and dipping sauce are incomparable. The service is very good but because of how busy they are it takes a while, it’s worth the wait though.
Great recommendation from former NYers...the lox bagel with tomato basil cream cheese was so filling and delish! Don't miss out on the GWB and Pink Lemonade! You won't regret it
They have great bagels and make kick ass breakfast sandwiches.. As a tip they are cash only They now accept Venmo as form of payment 🙃
Clean and friendly atmosphere. Food was wonderful, only disappointing thing was they ran out of Garlic Bagels…so I’ll just have to return again.
Amazing place to go if you have not been here yet. Awsome choice of food to pick from and the food was delicious 👍👍we will come here again most definitely!!!
An awesome, breakfast/lunch spot in Rhinebeck. Support a great small business. Just make sure bring cash, they don't take credit cards.
Not just a bagel shoppe. Bistro quality lunch and amazing daily specials. Friendly staff. Everything made to order. Try the GWB breakfast sandwich!
Their begal sandwiches and soup were very good. Would go again.
Stopped here for a bagel and it was very good 😋
Can’t say enough good things. Always great service. Amazing bagels. Good coffee. Rhinebeck is out of the way for me but I come here on weekends and when I’m having a bagel craving. It’s worth the 30+ minute drive for me!
Amazingg!!! Absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and made to order. They have a huge selection of bagels, sandwiches, toppings, sauce, cream cheeses, etc. At busy times the wait can be long, but we dont mind waiting knowing the food we are getting will be top notch. I wish we lived closer we would visit more often! If you're in the area, definitely add this on your list of places to try. You won't be disappointed.
My favorite BEC on this side of the hudson 🤠 the best hard rolls and hash browns! Chill local environment and everyone’s always friendly
We have been going there for years. Great bagel s and sandwiches. Friendly service by the same crew. Nice place to get a coffee and read the paper. Local hangout!
One of my favorite breakfast places! Morning run followed by the Snyder or one of their fantastic specials is a great start to the day! Really wish I could give you guys more than 5 stars!
What a gem of a bagel place. Very clean, friendly and food very fresh. Bagels are the best, coffee many different flavors. No eating in store, but benches outside clean and inviting. Cash only and what a pleasure with their personnel.
The name doesn't do it justice. Went there for lunch and was so satisfied. I had the Roast Beef on a weck, and it was delicious! My boyfriend was a little scared by how fast I was eating... it was so good. The first beef was rare and thin but the bread was outstanding...buttered and soft. The au jus was awesome, normally I found au jus really salty but this was rich and flavorful. One downside is they do not accept plastic.
Best gluten free bagel I've ever had. It was just like how I remember real bagels tasting. Nice atmosphere. Menu well marked.
Oh man, I could not live without Rhinebeck bagels. Literally everything here is amazing. Our personal favorites are the GWB and the Lowner. The salt & vinegar tires are pretty epic too. Love the seven grain works bagels. Pretzel rolls too. Of course the coffee is good as well. Almost forgot to mention the epic selection of hot sauces!
Best bagels outside the city. Remarkably good — and friendly — service. My vegan friend was happy with menu selections she could enjoy.
Amazing breakfast and lunch stop. Can get crowded, and busy at peak times(usually weekend mornings) but the food is well worth the wait. Wonderful staff, and great food make this a must for anyone traveling to Rhinebeck.
A must have for anyone who visits Rhinebeck. Best breakfast spot in town. Always great! Must bring cash! Worth it!
This might be the best place in Rhinebeck. Great bagels, awesome cream cheese. Excellent breakfast sandwiches, and a really great staff. Great work, keep doing what you're doing.
Great food. The only thing I could say bad about the place is the fact they aren't open 7 days a week. I could definitely eat there every day
Got a bagel and some sandwiches. Incredible! Super kind people too. Would love to revisit soon!
Simple deli style eats but high quality ingredients and care go into what they make which elevates the food. They have some funkier options like a pretzel style roll which is delicious, showing they aren't afraid to experiment. Lots of local ingredients and seasonal fare. Order ahead for quick and painless pickup (their estimates can be optimistic from time to time) and snag a seat at the bar style wall attached table inside or grab a shaded table out front.
Super happy to find they have gluten free options! The owner’s wife has celiac apparently-so they have a whole allergy protocol. I got a custom BEC w/ cream cheese and it was delicious. The GF bagels are from a bakery in Chatham - the bagel itself was clearly GF - so nothing to write home about - so I’d suggest getting one of their sandwiches options as the filling really made the experience. Service was great too. Highly recommend! Note that they only accept cash or Venmo
Come for the delicious bagels and lovely efficient service, stay for the fabulous HUGE sandwich menu and HUGE sandwiches, Jeremy's weekly changing small batch speciality cream cheese flavors, really tasty coffee and iced tea options, lovely outdoor seating, and huge variety of hot sauces! It's my only recommendation for great bagels upstate. Stop by, get a dozen, slice and freeze them and enjoy for days! Highly recommend the simple but completely satisfying- sausage, egg and american cheese on an everything bagel with a hashbrown and salt, pepper, ketchup and hot sauce. (While they are cash only, they have an atm and have recently started taking venmo, so problem solved!)
Delicious! I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I walked in. I had seen that this place received good reviews and that they had a good selection, but I didn't have a specific expectation since it's a bagel place. After having my Eastern Omelette Sandwich I was thoroughly impressed. The omelette was absolutely delicious and flavorful and the bagel it was on was a good size and tasty as well. My mouth was rejoicing at how good it was. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other sandwiches they offer! Great job Rhinebeck Bagel!
I got a breakfast wrap with hibiscus tea. It was best breakfast wrap I’ve ever had. Bacon was perfectly done, not fatty not overly crispy. Egg perfect, not wet not dry. Nicely chopped veggies. Details even in the way they wrap it. Perfection! Note: CASH ONLY, be prepared. Order online can use credit cards.
Everybody loves the Bagel Shop. This needs not be explained. But I will anyway? The coffee is great. The food is awesome. Check out the specials. The staff is fantastic... Dee, Jeremy, Nick, I could keep going. Locals and tourists flock to the place. Expect a wait in the morning, around lunch, or any random time. Cash only. They do have an ATM that is reasonably priced. Best breakfast in town. Panera sucks!
Fantastic breakfast and lunch varieties here. I'm not sure you really know Rhinebeck if you haven't been to Rhinebeck Bagels (several times). If you are going on the weekend, consider calling ahead for your order. There's no secret as to how good this place is, and there will definitely be a line! Great outdoor seating for the summer (and winter if you are heartier than I am).
They've been here a long time. They must be doing something right. Great menu and great specials. Some reviews about wait times may not be too exaggerated. However, great food takes time. Plan ahead. They do get very busy.
A morning go-to for bagels and coffee, but they offer some great lunch choices, too. We love the Busta Blend coffee and enjoy conversations with friends at the “front porch” tables. 💗 A locally-owned gem in Rhinebeck!
They have gluten free bagels, so already a win. But seriously, the GWB sandwich on a GF bagel is the perfect breakfast sandwich. I wished I lived in town so I could go there every day. FYI cash only.
Been enjoying breakfast here for over 20 years! Moved away a couple of years ago. Now it is a must go whenever we are back in town. Still great and now have gluten free options! Congrats Jeremy you are still doing it right!
Love this place. Yummy bagels, solid and inventive sandwiches. And if you are lucky, and go - I think on a Saturday AM - you can get their special breakfast sandwich, egg, cheese and bacon on croissant, BUT the bacon is a millimeter thick amazing thing. You have to try it to understand.
One of my favorite joints. Jeremy and his crew take delicious, filling breakfast and lunch standards and raise the standard by using fresh, tasty ,fun tweaks to make it that much more delicious. Noodles bowls, pork belly, poutine! You know they have fun cooking up new delicious. It never gets old, and it's always the best quality. It's hot your average bagel shop
Visiting with my Daughter, on the way to the Airport we stopped in for a Bagel for breakfast and a wrap for my trip home. She knows how much I love bagels, so she grabbed a few more for me to bring home. The wrap and the bagels were great none went to waste.
We love going to this bagel shop. Their sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Everytime we go we order something different and are never disappointed. For a real treat their fries are delicious. You must go if you are visiting Rhinebeck
Always my go-to place for a bacon, egg, and cheese! Not to mention, their specials are the most unique, drool-worthy food combinations you’ll ever find. You can tell the owner puts his heart and soul into the place! Staff is great, as well!
I am writing this review to remark the person who works there, his name is Luis. My car suddenly started smoking, as I was turning right on the intersection next to this place. I was lucky that their employee, Luis, was closing the place and rushed to help me! He helped me to cool down the engine and walked me through everything that was wrong with the car. He was extremely selfless, and I am sure if someone shows so much consideration and goodwill, they can SERVE you bagels. I hope the owner of the place treats him well and values him as well. P.S. I did try their sandwiches on a separate day and they were good, too. It was this situation that brought me to write a review though.
Great selections here! I’m not able to eat gluten so I was so happy that there were gluten free bagels, rolls, and wraps to try. I ended up getting the gluten free roll with pastrami, tomatoes, and onions and I was surprised how good it was and how soft and fresh the roll was, being that it was gluten free. You can even choose whether you want your sandwich hot or cold (I chose hot and loved it) and they really fill up your sandwich with a good about of meat/toppings. It’s cash only here but there’s an ATM inside or if you want to pay by card you can just order online and pick it up when it’s ready. Overall I’m glad I found this place and will be my new weekly place to dine for brunch
Love this place. The bagel and cream cheese and lox were incredible.. And what a great value and the lox is very high quality. Also had the egg sandwich special two days in a row. You can't beat them. The sausages are so good and the eggs so fresh.. They use only the best quality ingredients and the owner/staff so nice and friendly. Even the fresh lemonade with no sugar added is terrific.
The first time I came here, I split a hashbrown with someone. The second time I came here, I ordered two hashbrowns. The next time I come here, I will order at least four. The food is phenomenal. The prices are fair, especially given the outstanding quality. A great place to stop when in the area. As a customer, your sole task is to determine which sandwich best suits your taste. For me, that’s the GWB, which I believe to be divinely inspired. The chicken sandwich is also excellent.
The staff are always very friendly here and they are knowledgeable about allergens. I’ve had both gluten free wraps and gf bagels that were solid and the staff was careful to prepare our food separately to avoid cross contamination.
WOW. For real. We were in town for a long weekend getaway and I stumbled upon this place when looking for a coffee. I. had the Snyder breakfast sammy and an iced coffee. The next morning we went back with the entire family. I tried the Jamaican Brown Sugar Iced Coffee and it was the best thing I had all weekend. I can't say enough about the politeness of the staff and the use of a label maker inside and outside that leave no questions about how the business operates and what to do next. HIGHLY recommend.
I only order online. There is no waiting, and the food is divine. The prices are also surprisingly reasonable. If you are in the Hudson Valley, treat yourself to an amazing bagel. PS, you can use credit if you order online. Otherwise, cash only.
I come in once a month when I bring my Pop to the eye doctor. This bagel spot never misses, they are fast, friendly and a great price point. The bagels are everything a bagel should be. 10/10
In town visiting from Chicago but this place is a local favorite, the owner knows everyone walking in and chats them up, exactly what a local deli is supposed to be. They have healthy options too, like the "Game 7" sandwich, turkey egg whites and avocado and it was quite good!
I recently went to Rhinebeck Bagels when staying in town for the weekend. It's a great place if you want a decent bagel, sandwich, or other offerings and don't want to stand around a cramped space or wait on a table. They also have nice outdoor seating if you enjoy people watching. It's a bit pricey, but that is life in Rhinebeck. Of note, the place is cash only (and maybe Venmo?)
b.overly_delicious @rbkbagel Rhinebeck, NY: Rhinebeck bagels is all about the ingredients and awesome combinations. I super appreciate the revolving hot sauce wall so I can always try something new. I went with a grilled cheese with chicken salad, bacon, and spicy mayo and a side of tots. Tots were well done and the garlic aioli it came with was perfect for dipping everything in. The owner, Jeremy, is a pleasure and his photographery is awesome. Check out their socials. #bagels #rhinebeck #hotsauce #rhinebeckbagels #tots #dutchess #hudsonvalley #hveats #hvfoodies #eater #dutchesscounty #dutchesseateriesunfiltered
Wow! So glad we stopped and we recommend if you are by here to stop as well. We do not live in this state but was passing through & saw the reviews were great & that they had gluten free bagel option so we went. Best decision. Extremely friendly employee taking the orders & cashing you out. Coffee is fresh, decaf for me was great and I’m super picky on coffee. My husbands iced coffee/cold brew French Vanilla was great. The breakfast sandwiches are huge! See photo for reference. Absolutely paying for great, fresh, good portion size sandwiches. I got the western on the works gluten free bagel (loved that they have gluten free bagel options of the works, plain or sesame) the western was delicious just like an omelette, large pieces of onions and peppers and I added bacon, because ya no bacon is life. Their bacon is super crispy and fresh! My husband got the Synder and loved it so much. He instantly said this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had and how it doesn’t compare to any other place. If we are ever in the area we will be back, although back home places have huge shoes to fill now with how delicious this was. It is a cash only for in person orders and card options for online orders. Nothing bad to say at all. Fantastic and hats off to the chefs !
Much more than just bagels, a large array of both hot and cold sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch plus specials. Some standouts: Bustah B ( on a wrap, hard roll or bagel), The Chucky, Cuban burger, chickenette wrap and tater tots. Great iced coffee. Have had catering from them and the 3 foot sandwiches were amazing. Cash only- ATM on premises.
Stopped in here for year just to grab bagels and coffee. Never thought of having lunch. I can say that they make some of the best food you can find anywhere. From their creative sandwiches to amazing burgers as well as tons of different French fries. The staff is awesome the food always so fresh and delicious. It’s clear they care about what they are serving. My fav is the shrimp Po boy and the chuckie which is a chicken salad sandwich with spicy mayo and bacon / cheddar. Updated this review just to let everyone know that they are still going strong. Remains my favorite spot in Rhinebeck especially if you want to eat good and try creative sandwiches burgers etc.
Our family stopped here to get breakfast for the next morning at our camp. The service was fantastic and friendly. The bagels were delicious, but the cream cheeses were to DIE for. We ended up with a dozen bagels and 3 tubs of homemade cream cheese. This is a MUST stop in Rhinebeck. Excellent eatery!
Been here twice now and only wish I lived closer. First time I got a burger and waffle fries and took lunch to the park to eat. Less photogenic but still delicious. Second time was a BBQ chicken wrap and bacon cheese fries, also great. The owner and staff are very friendly. He makes a lot of creative specials, however lunch specials are only weekdays while breakfast specials are weekends. Cash only.
Delicious bagel sandwiches at a reasonable price. Fun and funky, casual atmosphere. It can get a little crowded, but doesn't that show it's the place to be?
This store is somewhere I love to go for breakfast. Their bagels are soft and not too tough, like some bagel places. Their egg sandwiches are worth driving 30 minutes to get in the morning
The food was good. No place to sit inside anymore so you have to stand around a bunch of people and wait for your order to be prepared. Cash only, they do have an ATM but, there is a few to do that. Does anybody carry cash anymore?. Other than that, nothing to write home about. They used to have amazing burgers but nothing like that now. No reason for me to make it a point to go there again.
Very busy with lots of options but food came out quickly, lots of seating outside not much inside
The place is great for food lovers.Offers great taste at a compelling price. The food are gluten free and mouth watering. The place attracts people from the neighborhood and also people from New York and new Jersey. A must visit place for any Indian food lover. The place is very crowded in weekends.
Food was good for the breakfast sandwiches that I got and pastrami hash. A bit pricey but to be expected Rhinebeck. Online ordering could be changed. Seemed clunky to navigate. I tried ordering by calling. Number did not work 04/02/25. I was going to order online but website was loading too long. Connection or service was not an issue. Not going to waste my time. Business could potentially do way better.
The only downside is that they are still cash only. Really guys? Get one of those iPhone card reader things and be done with it already. Other than that it was a very very good experience!
Came to this place after reading online they "might have the best bagels in the Hudson Valley". Got a couple of bagels and cream cheese to try and did not enjoy it. The bagels are nothing special, if anything they are a bit harder than you would expect to find at a place that t makes their own bagels. Unfortunately, these are not the best bagels in the Hudson Valley. Come across the river to Kingston and try Sunshine Bagels, which may well be the best bagels ever.
This bagel shop was cash only ! When u walk in there, there is a big hand written menu and plenty of charm. I loved the little league baseball photos on display as well as the array of newspapers on the counter tops. I got a coffee and everything bagel and it was fast and decent. I think the local vibe is what gives this place so much charm.
Delicious 5-star bagels—basically as good as anything I’ve had in NYC. But minus 1 star for their cash-only policy (really? in 2020?), and minus 1 star for the very rude, apathetic young lady working the cash register (who took 15 minutes to procure my bagel & cream cheese, and then set it behind the cash register for another 5 minutes before handing it to me). We really loved their bagels, but felt too annoyed with the bad customer service to come back here again.
Was stoked and mentally preparing for my once a year giant bagel. It was hella skimpy, I don’t think you should be left hungry after a bagel. The thinnest layer of lox was on it. It was all super tasty!! Just could have had 2 but that would have been expensive. The shrinkflation is real
The food is undeniably above-average, but the wait times left me questioning why more staff are not hired. Depending on your patience or urgency, this may ruin your experience here.
25.00 for 3 very thin not hardy bacon egg and cheese bagels 2 coffees 1 milk. Would not make exception so we could eat inside had a child with me and it was cold out. Had to wait for my car so had to eat while freezing. Way to expensive.
Food is decent sure. But it takes a half hour to get your order, they only take cash, and they got my order wrong too many times. Avoid
Everytime I come here I literally have to try to get the counter girl's attention... even though I'm standing at the counter. Other customers would come in and leave before me. I would like to say this is a one-off incident but it happens every time I'm there. The food is good though.
I'm not one to leave negative reviews. The customer service here was rude and very indifferent. The bagel had the potential to be good but was burned. I would have had it corrected but chose not to deal with the poor customer service experience again. Not sure how this place is so highly rated. Won't be returning.
Decent food but there is no order system. Placed an order online waited an hour watching people walk in and get hot sandwiches made. When I got my food it was cold, which means they forgot about it and it sat out.
Good sandwich. Rude customer service, no bathroom, cash only policy with apparent resentment taking orders from a walk on customer (they really want to do business online only). Likely will not be back.
bagels themselves are not bad at all. ordered a plain toasted bagel with lox and they put the thinnest little slice of lox on there. for $9 I should probably at least get a fraction of the grocery store smoked salmon you can get a whole bag for for $7 I'd probably recommend the bagels but not the lox, and would assume they also upcharge other items on the menu
The staff is so rude, I’ve had 3 different people and have given them about 10 different times to change my mind. It’s a shame since their food is so good. You’ll never be greeted with a smile and it’s as if you’re bothering them to do their job. I would never recommend this place, go down the road to buns where their food is good and the staff is so friendly!
Have visited this establishment multiple times. Bagels are just good, customer service is extremely poor. Not only do you get yelled at (other customers as well we're berated for asking simple questions), but you have no update on your order and unfortunately we had to cancel our order. These bagels are not worth the stress.
I’d give zero stars if I could. It’s 10:30am on a Sunday morning and they are “so backed up” they aren’t taking more orders. The manager was super rude and made it seem like it was our fault for coming in. Put up a closed sign! You run a bagel cafe and it’s the weekend — hire more people! And above all, don’t belittle customers for trying to come to your business.
I never do this. I saw great reviews, so we drove 20 minutes to try a bagel. We wait in a very short line for 5-10 minutes, understanding there is a wait. The person at the counter said “I’ll be with you in a minute.” Instead of just telling us right then and there, we wait a few more minutes for him to tell us “we have a lot of mobile orders so i hope you’re okay with a wait.” I heard the notifications as we were waiting patiently. I appreciate the heads up, but we are customers here, ready for service. I understand that you want to respect the queue, but this is not a good business model. You called out for a Paige 5 times, who wasn’t there. You should prioritize customers who come to the store, just as a reservation normally isn’t seated until most of the expected party has arrived, if not all. I couldn’t wait 30 minutes for a toasted bagel, so we walked out empty handed after driving all the way there. Disappointed with the service model. I do not mind a wait especially as places are understaffed, but the “I’ll be with you in a minute” to then be discouraged into ordering left a sour taste in my mouth.
A few weeks a go I went to RB for the first time and it will be my last. I ordered a simple cinnamon /raisin bagel and it was the worst bagel I ever had. Honestly, it was stale and tasted like it was 3 days old. You have some nerve serving food like that!
All of the bad reviews that mention the manager/staff being rude are spot on. I called in to place a pickup order. I was driving so I didn't have time to look at the menu or use the online ordering system. As soon as I asked the guy on the phone a question, he was condescending and acting as if I was in the wrong for asking. He said he "wasn't sure" so I asked if he could double check, not knowing that he was the OWNER, and he snapped back with "I don't need to, if that's the item you want then I guess we will make it for you." I was stunned by the level of attitude I was met with, but I grinned and beared through the ordering process because I was excited to try a new (to me) breakfast spot. By the end of the phone call, I was so turned off by the level of condescending passive aggressiveness that I had actually called right back to cancel the order. A woman answered the phone and asked why I wanted to cancel, I explained how rude the guy was and asked for his name, thinking that he was just some young employee. She apologized and said "it doesn't matter because he is actually the owner" I was STUNNED. As a business owner myself, I couldn't imagine treating my clients the way this guy talks to his customers. After this, my husband read the reviews. Most of the bad reviews mention the same exact issue that we had. What a horrible way to do business!
They’re right with their slogan, I’ve never seen bagels like these (pro tip they were out of bagels, a literal bagel store out of bagels, crazy work). For $7 to boot? Let’s just say I expected nothing less. Don’t let the charlatans and sycophant townies convince you that this place is worth any dollar amount. If you’re going to cosplay as a NYC bagel spot, at least have the decency to make a good sandwich
