Opinions de Bar Rossini Rho
When I tell you, I was so excited to go here after someone else picked it and I saw how phenomenal the food looked!!!! I’m not a person who gravitates toward Italian food. I usually just go with the flow if people pick it. So, I was PLEASANTLY surprised when everything was INSANE. We ordered so much food because I needed to try as much as possible. Caesar Salad: huge leaves, delightful dressing, tangy lemon sets it off, light, crunchy croutons Arancini: incredible balls of rice that were fried to perfection, topped with cheese, on a bed of cheese sauce? Divine Burrata: solid piece of toast, nice lighter dish Focaccia: SOFT. BUTTERY. The Calabrian chili butter was sweet but spicy, the whipped ricotta was a nice lighter option Meatballs: OMG, the crispiest meatballs I’ve had even though it was topped with sauce, so juicy and flavorful. Gimme 16 of these. Potato Croquettes: on their own they were good but the sauce they were in made them GREAT. Chicken cutlet: THIN. CRISPY. HUGE. had flaky salt on time. The perfect cutlet. Rigatoni: Al dente, classic pasta dish The place was dark and moody - perfect for a date night. The service was fast. Our waiter was amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Wow what an amazing place. The happy hour killer. If you haven't gone you're missing out on life. Check them out ASAP you will thank me.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Great quality food and service. If you enjoy wholesome Italian cuisine, this is the restaurant for you and your family.
I went here for the first time last night with some friends and it was an all around great experience. The food was delicious and good sized portions. The feel of the restaurant was also great, it just feels welcoming and lively. Above all though was our waiter Drew, what amazingly warm, friendly and attentive waiter unlike any that I have ever encountered. Will definitely be back.
Jan 2026: I have to make an edit because as of November, unfortunately things have really gone downhill and my previous review no longer stands. Rosina’s is always incredible. It’s fairly priced for the area, the food is well seasoned (if you think it’s over salted you’re probably bland) and the owners and chef are wonderful people. As a patrol, you shouldn’t wait to speak up while you’re dining and then write a poor review; I eat here often and give feedback during my meal and it has always been a lovely experience. Yes, it’s loud, when it’s busy. I’d describe it as full of life. People really think they’re food critics these days, but some of y’all need Jesus and to learn what “char” is.
Contrary to a few of the most recent (at time of posting this) reviews have mentioned, this place remains class. Sad that the clientele has gone downhill, but the restaurant has not. Reviewers such as Annie Forbes think they’re God’s gift on Earth, however the world does not revolve around them and it’s possible for staff members to have an off day every now and then. The food is top notch, if you’re expecting someone to serenade you while dining, consider hiring a butler and staying at home for dinner.
Love it here! On the weekends it is always buzzing, great vibes & perfect night out atmosphere. Food is consistently delicious, pasta, salads, apps all so good! Some favorites are the arugula salad, charred peppers, focaccia & literally all of the pastas. The Chiquita & La Passione drinks are like nothing I’ve had anywhere else - so delicious & innovative. For dessert get a Nutella donut - divine. One of my fave places!
HANDS DOWN THE BEST ITALIAN IN THE RYE, PC, BYRUM AND GREENWICH AREA! I travel all over and found Bar Rosina on a trip to NY. Vibe is great and sitting at the bar with a fantasticly made martini made it even better. Friday and Saturday at the bar are great post work times. Bartender is amazing and knows the drinks and menu well. Had my first of 4 meals at the bar. While hanging had the opportunity to meet Jarred the Chef. Great guy who knows his stuff. He makes the best pasta I have tasted in the East Coast to date - more later. Appitizers: Get the Focaccia! GET IT. Now try the red spread - it's crack for bread. Soooo Goood! Brussel Sprouts are 10/10 and so tasty. Had some Prosciuitto di Parma (Black Label) which was fantastic! Meatballs were solid and Chicken Cutlet was thin, crisp and worked well with the fresh lemon. Shrimp Oreganata was good in a white sauce that had depth. While I love Octopus I did not love this version. It's a little different. Pasta. If you get only one pasta, and you can share it, get the MALLOREDDUS. Hands down my top 3 pastas ever. SOOOOO GOOOD. Have had it a few times now and it hits on every level. Pasta noodles are fantastic and chewy as they should, shrimp (which are really prawns) are soft and tasty. The white sauce is soo flavorful and packed with lemon and a touch of heat (calabrian). Finally the breadcrumbs bring everything together in a magical way. THIS IS THE SHIT! The Pappardele is your second choice. Good, solid, redsauce with great fresh noodles. Seating inside is good. A little loud when busy in front section, so maybe ask for the rear section. Never sat outside as it was very hot and muggy when I was here, but it's small and looks good. Can't say enough good things about this find of a place. I bought friends and they raved about it. Go. It's soo worth it.
The food here was fantastic! Awesome drinks and wine list too. Everything is made in house with a clear passion for food. We ordered a lot, and everything was absolutely delicious. Assuredly take your aunt that claims to not have had a good meal since her anniversary dinner at Marchies. Confidently bring friends who want tasty food, great drinks, and good vibes. 10/10.
All the classic Italian (& American Italian) dishes you can think of and then done really well. Generous appetizers to share with the table - would highly rec the buratta. All pastas and pizzas eaten at my table were rich in flavors. The staff was also friendly and attentive, and the interior of the restaurant had a good vibe but felt a little segmented. Would recommend!
Great Italian food!! First, the service here is amazing. The staff are all so friendly and have great reccomendations. We started with the Arancini balls which were good but missing a depth of flavor, and the Caesar salad which was amazing. The rigatoni was so good (though a bit small for the price) and the mushroom pizza was very rich but the thin crust helped to balance it. We ended with a warm bombolini and an AMAZING espresso martini. Excited to come back and try more dishes!
We had a delicious meal at Rosalina’s! I just moved back to the area and have had some disappointing meals elsewhere but this is a spot that could become a favorite. The pasta’s that we ordered were all unique, made with high quality ingredients. Unique cocktails and great wine list. The service was great too. I would definitely go back.
Great place! Loved everything we ordered. Cute spot, a little confusing because you sorta enter thru the side/back. The pasta entrees were fantastic but the appetizers hit it out the park. Chicken cutlet, brussel sprouts and potatoes were awesome. Definitely recommend! Only downside was that it got kinda loud indoor dining towards the end of our dinner.
My 1st time here and service was great and food was excellent! We shared the Cesar salad, and ordered both the shrimp/pasta dish and the chicken. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.
Delicious food and cocktails, great back patio. Went for lunch on Memorial Day weekend and it was empty but still had nice live music. Meatball pizza was good but didn’t outshine other menu items like charred octopus, burrata toast (sweet like borderline dessert), or chicken cutlet (huge for appetizer). Great cocktails, negroni was perfect.
I was excited to dine at this restaurant because I heard a lot of good things from close friends, The restaurants was packed on a Friday night table definitely are too close to each other the room was definitely too loud which make a little difficult to maintain a conversation, the food was just ok we started with the Arancini that was delicious and super tasty and meet and cheese, after that my girlfriend got the Bucatini and I ordered the Veal Chop Parmesan that came a little overcook, the service was decent but there are definitely room for improvement. Overall was just ok, we will give it another try soon.
The food is excellent. No complaints. I appreciated the appetizers were brought out in advance of the entrees. Unless you’re in a rush, that allows for ample conversation and food to digest. The ambiance including the outdoor patio was very nice. You still felt like you’re in the restaurant despite being technically outside. The price is on par with other places. Food prices have gone up everywhere, can’t complain about that. Well priced for the quality of food. The staff was also friendly and not overbearing. The negative which is big. Our party was a party of five with reservations, and they sat us at a table of 4. Extremely uncomfortable. That is a big no no, because it ruins the entire experience and night out. It tells me, you rather not lose a seat for a table of six so you don’t care about squishing 5 grown adults into a table that is normal for 4. The fifth person can’t get their legs underneath or can’t simply be comfortable. Makes you feel undervalued and now I will not go back despite the great food.
I don’t know what’s happened to this place… We stopped in this past Sunday for a quick bite after a long day visiting my mother in the hospital in NYC. We’ve had many meals here over the years, so I thought it would be the perfect, easy wind-down. Instead, it was anything but. We were met by a gentleman at the door who quickly sat us at one of the many open tables, and then we waited nearly 15 minutes before anyone came by to take our cocktail order. I will say—the cocktail was the one truly delicious part of the entire experience. From there, the whole visit had an odd, disengaged vibe. The service was nearly nonexistent, and the food was unfortunately sub-par. The meatballs were mushy, the rigatoni sauce tasted off, and overall it just wasn’t the experience we’ve always loved and expected from this restaurant.
I really don’t understand the hype for this food. The ceasar salad had no taste of ceasar just lemon and oil, the bolognese tasted like water and spinach, and the tiramisu was actually vanilla wafer (no coffee) with whipped cream layers. I expected way more but we were really disappointed! Don’t go here if you’re expecting flavorful food. Service was attentive and nice, maybe too attentive at times. Lighting was really low and there wasn’t any atmosphere to the place besides the dim lighting. No pictures on the wall really, kind of sterile. I expected more for a place so hyped up.
Unfortunately, yesterday was the last time we’ll be dining at what was once our favorite restaurant in Connecticut. This was the third time in the last few months that my wife and I have seen mice in the dining room, all on separate visits. We’ve both worked in hospitality and in restaurants, so we understand that some things can be hard to control. That said, seeing mice in the dining room three times is no longer something we can overlook. What really sealed it for us was how it was handled. On our way out, we calmly tried to give the owner a heads-up and mentioned that this wasn’t the first or second time this had happened. The response we received was dismissive and snarky, which felt especially frustrating given the seriousness of the issue. Because of the repeated sightings but more importantly the lack of professionalism in addressing them, we won’t be returning.
My family and I have been frequent regulars at Bar Rosina’s. We’ve always found it to be a wonderful place that welcomed our entire family, babies included. We loved the food and consistently had great experiences. Last week, we walked in as we normally do and were met by the gentleman who is usually at the door. He’s typically kind and welcoming, but this time he barely acknowledged us and walked away before even asking if we wanted to be seated. When my husband finally got the attention of the owner to ask if we could be seated—since the dining room was mostly empty—he scuffed at us, grabbed two menus, and said, “Sure, follow me.” It felt incredibly cold and unlike what we’ve come to expect. We tried to continue enjoying our night out with the kids, but everything just felt off. We received two dishes that were ice cold. The branzino was completely different from the last four times I’ve ordered it. The pizza was sub-par compared to what we’re used to. And the service, which has never been amazing but was usually fine, was honestly horrific this time. Sadly, after one thing after another, I don’t think we will be back—even though this used to be one of our favorite spots.
