My husband and I came here to support a local, small business. We were not let down. I asked the two really nice people at the counter what they recommended we might try. They gave us some amazing choices. We got the chicken dum biryani (it's worth the wait for it because they make it fresh, so don't be in a hurry), mutton marag (so delicious and my first time trying sheep), the garlic and butter naans, and chicken tikka boti (so so good and tender and juicy). The chutney sauce they serve with the tikka boti was delicious and I got more to go home. The other sauces they have were also so good, especially with the naan. We can't wait to go back and take our family. The service was great and the employees were so nice!
BEST haleem you’ll taste in DFW. For the quantity and quality it’s absolutely worth it. Better than Deccan grill!! Please maintain the taste. MUST TRYYY
Must try the mutton Haleem here! Its really good! And perfect flavored Dum Biryani's! One of the top suggested spot for biryanis around Dallas!
Heard about this place from a friend, and honestly, when I first saw the mandi price, I thought it was a bit overpriced. But I still wanted to give it a try — and I’m glad I did because it was absolutely worth it. I’ve had mandi at several places in Austin and Dallas, and they usually add a creamy base to enhance the flavor. This one, however, felt much more authentic and tasted very close to the Middle Eastern style I experienced in the Middle East. Their Haleem is a must try too
We’ve been to five different Indian restaurants, and this one blows them all out of the water. I ordered the Chicken 65 with rice and garlic naan, my boyfriend had the chicken biryani, and every bite was unreal. The drinks were amazing, and the mango dessert was insanely good. If I could give this place a higher rating, I would words honestly don’t do it justice. Just come try it for yourself!
I’d heard a lot about this restaurant, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I tried the Chicken 65, haleem, and biryani. The biryani was really good with a nice flavor , if you prefer it spicy, go for the double masala. The Chicken 65 was excellent, and the haleem was also very good.
The single best indian food we have ever had! It set a new standard for what we expect in terms of authentic quality when it comes to south Indian cuisine! The Mutton Haleem was absolutely AMAZING! The Chicken Tikka my wife ordered was delicious! We ate all the food, and ordered more to go for later it was so good. We will drive in from out of state again, but this time JUST for their food. Their service was amazing as well. We came in during a slow period, and chatted. As someone who is of a pale complexion it is often hard to be taken seriously as someone who enjoys authentic cuisine with no holds barred. There is no such prejudice here!
The food is real good and fresh. Hydatabadi Dum biriany was great plus mutton halim too. Need to give more flavor to the biriany like rose, caora water, onion fry, beresta, almond, cashew, pesta, and other things. Also need very lively Hindi songs in the store. Need mixed vegetable pakura onion fry etc, more appetizers.
This is my first time visiting Imperial biryani and Cafe.we ordered haleem, mutton biryani, kabob platter. Must say mutton biryani is too yummy, rice was soo aromatic and flavorful, and meat is wellcooked and tender. Had great time here. Will be visiting again😊.
I came all the way from Austin especially to try their Haleem and Mutton Biriyani. We have been here for dinner. Must and should try their Mutton Haleem which is worth their hype. Hyderbadi Mutton Dum Biriyani is really good, but I would suggest you to give some good amount of mutton pieces. We are able to see only 5-6Pieces which is not good enough. Chicken Majestic is good and chicken 65 is not worth.
We catered food for our toddler’s second birthday from Imperial Biryani & Cafe, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors had a beautiful touch of authentic Hyderabad roots, and every single dish was loved by our guests. We ordered a wide variety of items, and everything turned out exceptional: • All the kabobs were a huge hit • Malai Boti Kabob – incredibly soft and flavorful • Haryali Kabob and Sheekh Kabob – perfectly spiced and cooked • Mutton Biryani – beyond next level, truly outstanding • Chicken Biryani – aromatic and too good • Haleem – absolutely extraordinary • Kaddu ki Kheer – delicious and perfectly balanced The food was so good that it was almost completely finished, and we received countless compliments from our guests. I also want to highlight the excellent customer service. Atif was amazing in communication—very professional, confident, and reassuring. His confidence truly reflected in the food; every dish was delicious and full of flavor. We were extremely happy with the overall experience and highly recommend Imperial Biryani & Cafe to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Hyderabadi catering.
I came all the way from Illinois and was craving authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, so I ordered the Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem & Chicken 65, everything was absolutely AMAZING! The flavors were so authentic, it truly reminded me of Hyderabad. On top of that, the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you ever miss Hyderabad or want to experience real Hyderabadi taste, this is the place to visit. Highly recommended!
Absolutely Outstanding Authentic Indian Cuisine! This place really nails authentic Indian food. The biryani is packed with flavor and has an amazing aroma, the haleem is rich, hearty, and clearly slow-cooked with care, and the Chicken 65 is perfectly crispy with just the right amount of spice. Everything tastes fresh and genuinely homemade. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.
Best mutton biriyani in Dallas. Ask for double masala. You’ll be teleported to Hyderabad old city. Atif, the chef nailed it to perfection. Bhargavi at the counter is also welcoming and helpful. The staff happily served food. Definitely coming back to this again.
Authentic Hyderabadi Dum Mutton Biryani & Chicken 65 — Absolutely Loved It! If you’re craving true Hyderabadi flavors, this place is a must-try! The mutton biryani was cooked perfectly — the meat was tender, juicy, and came right off the bone. The rice had that signature dum aroma, with every grain packed with flavor and spice just right — not too strong, not too mild. The Chicken 65 was another highlight — crispy on the outside, soft inside, and had that perfect balance of tangy, spicy masala. Tastes just like the ones you get back home in Hyderabad! Portions were generous, service was quick, and the biryani came piping hot — exactly how it should be. Definitely going back for more. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Hyderabadi biryani and fried chicken.
Must try place for biryani lovers. As authentic as it can get. I never imagined we can get a taste of Hyderabad right here in Dallas. I would recommend this place for families who want to dine in, as it's spacious and with a beautiful ambience. You can never go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Hats off to CHEF!!!
If you’re craving an authentic Hyderabadi culinary experience, this restaurant is the place to be. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an ambiance that beautifully captures the essence of Hyderabad The highlight of this place is undoubtedly the food. The menu is diverse, offering a delightful selection of kebabs, curries, and desserts that stay true to traditional recipes. The service here is top-notch. The server was not only attentive and courteous but also knowledgeable about the dishes, making great recommendations based on our preferences. Overall, this restaurant offers the perfect blend of authentic Hyderabadi flavors, a captivating atmosphere, and exceptional service. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on all fronts, this is a must-visit.
Ordered a haleem and a mutton briyani. Overall the taste and quality was outstanding. The bummer is price. They charge 30% more than standard prices but also, the quantity is less. If you are unlucky, you will end with just bones in the briyani. That kind of makes it 40-50% more expensive than standard prices. I am happy to pay standard price for this higher quality and reduced quantity. I will be an occasional customer at current prices.
The mutton biryani is good and must try. The juicy Mandi is extremely salty (Rice, gravy and the meat are all salty). We did the give them the feedback after our first Mandi and asked them to reduce salt in our second order, to our surprise the second one was even more saltier. But mutton biryani is great.
I recently visited Imperial Indian Restaurant with a few friends for lunch, and honestly, it was quite a disappointing experience overall. We ordered Mutton Biryani, Chicken Mandi, and Paya Soup, expecting a good Indian meal, but most of the items didn’t meet the mark. Starting with the Paya Soup, it was priced around $20, which is extremely high for what was served. The portion was huge, but it was almost 80% oil and only 20% soup, making it very difficult to eat or even enjoy. The presentation was poor too — it came in a rectangular container that wasn’t practical for dining in. The taste and texture didn’t justify the price at all. I’d rate it 2/5 at best. The Chicken Mandi was average. The rice flavor was okay, but the chicken pieces lacked proper seasoning and didn’t have much taste. It felt like the meat wasn’t marinated enough. I’d give it around 3/5. The Mutton Biryani was another letdown — there were only a few pieces of mutton, and while the biryani had some aroma, the overall flavor was just fine, not special. I’d rate it 2.5/5. Beyond the food, the cleanliness and service also left a bad impression. The tables were not cleaned even though the restaurant wasn’t busy — there were only about six to eight people dining at the time. We had to wait quite a while before someone came to wipe the table, which shouldn’t happen in a nearly empty restaurant. Overall, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had around the Dallas area. With better hygiene, reasonable pricing, and more attention to food quality, this place could improve a lot. But as of now, I’d only rate it around 2.5/5 and wouldn’t recommend it for those expecting a satisfying Indian meal.
I ordered Haleem, but honestly, it was not good at all. I would rate the taste 1/5 We went back and spoke to them about it. They gave different reasons like too much or too little salt, using fresh green chilies, and that the mutton was not blended properly or undercooked. They agreed on that it was not blended well. We left the haleem over there and left they were simply smiling . I’ve had their biryani before and it was really good, so this was disappointing. But the Haleem was very bad. If anyone wants to try Haleem, I would suggest skipping this place. Instead, try Pista House in Hyderabad or Berista in Denton — their Haleem is much better. Hope this review helps.
So, I recently visited this restaurant to try their chicken juicy mandi. I’ve been hearing rave reviews about it, especially since I’m a pure Hyderabadi who exclusively eats biryani and mandi. Unfortunately, the hype didn’t quite live up to the expectations. To make matters worse, they even gave me an extra piece of chicken, which was dry and had a weird smell. It was coated in flour and cooked on top, The inside was over soft that I couldn’t even enjoy the taste. I barely managed to take a bite and then threw the whole piece away. Overall, this restaurant didn’t live up to the hype. The service was good, but the food was disappointing.
Ordered mutton family pack at 11:05 AM picked up at 11:47 AM, Biryani was not fresh and clearly it looks like previous days biryani meat and rice was dry check photos, I called the hotel guys still the Manager trying to fool me the biryani was made fresh today, not at all happy with the answer of staff. Very disappointed and the worst Biryani I had. I served to my kids I’m not sure if it will digest or not
I ordered haleem and mutton biryani based on my friend’s suggestion. The haleem was the only good part of the order—it was tasty and well cooked. However, the mutton biryani was not up to the mark. Although the quantity of mutton pieces was good, the meat was not tender. The rice felt like it was just added separately and was not well cooked or properly mixed with the biryani flavors. Since the food quality was disappointing, I requested at least a partial refund or a reduction in the bill for the food we didn’t eat. We had not even consumed 35% of the food and also shared pictures as proof. Unfortunately, they refused to refund anything or make any adjustment. Overall, the experience was disappointing. As a local guide, I do not recommend this place for mutton biryani.
I ordered the Biryani Family Pack through Uber Eats, and I’m extremely disappointed. For nearly $50, all I received was rice and bones — barely any meat at all. This is completely unacceptable. When customers pay for a family pack, we expect real portions, not scraps. It honestly feels like the restaurant is taking advantage of customers who order takeout, assuming we won’t check or complain. This was very shameful and put me in a difficult spot, as I had to reorder biryani from another place just so my family could eat. This isn’t the first time Uber Eats orders from this restaurant have been low quality, but this time was the worst. Please respect your customers and deliver what you advertise. I will definitely think twice before ordering from here again.
The food here is tasty as always, but I did notice that the portion sizes have reduced compared to my last visit. Also, there was a bit of waiting time before being served. I hope the restaurant can improve on these areas because I’ve otherwise enjoyed dining here in the past. The quantity is for one single biryani is not even enough for one single person. I’m very much disappointed with the quantity that being served currently. Hopefully they’ll improve their portion size being served especially for the biryani. Portion size can’t even justify the price tag. you can see the portion size in the attached picture. #deeply disappointed
