Initially dropped in here for the brunch menu before embarking on the Chess Valley walk. Enjoyed the food, service and architecture enough to plan a return trip for dinner. The staff (Kul) remembered us and was very welcoming. Dinner also did not disappoint, especially the creative starters and desserts. The cocktails are also unique and well crafted. Will need to do some more walking up here and come back.

Birthday Bliss at The Bank The food was outstanding—every dish packed with flavor and finesse. Service was smooth and attentive, with Rahul truly elevating the experience. Amazing service, and the food was delicious. We went for a Sunday morning brunch. The South Indian platter I had was incredible. With lots on the menu to choose from. Great value for the effort and level of food on offer.

We had an amazing dining experience at The Bank Restaurant in Chorleywood! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and beautifully designed. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a great evening. They even gave us a free welcome appetiser. This is what I say to my friends that if you are in hospitality business, be hospitable! And the team nailed it. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and bursting with flavour. Whether you're looking for a cozy meal or a special night out, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Whilst we have been to The Bank before, we were not that impressed with the food and service for the price. However today we decided to give it another shot and we were VERY VERY impressed with the brunch menu and the quality of the food. We really enjoyed the special occasion of our wedding anniversary. We both ate from the brunch menu and my wife and I were both very impressed with the quality of the food, the way it was presented and of course the taste. The new general manager, Ajay Sharma, was a great host and he has definitely turned this place up a few notches for the positive. I am really glad with the positive changes as the setting and ambience is perfect. It just needed the menu and service to be refined and seems like Ajay and the team have nailed it. We will be glad to be going more often as it is our “local”

The Bank – Chorleywood’s Hidden Gem The hospitality from the General Manager, Mr. Anupam, was something we’ll never forget – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The Bank in Chorleywood is a stunning blend of modern style and authentic Indian warmth, with gorgeous décor, soft lighting, and a cosy yet sophisticated vibe. The food is packed with flavour and beautifully presented, and the cocktails are some of the best I’ve had – creative, perfectly balanced, and full of personality. The real surprise was dessert: Coconana Samosa – crisp pastry filled with coconut and banana. I’ve never had anything like it, and it’s worth the visit alone! Friendly service, great atmosphere, and unforgettable food – can’t wait to go back.

Anupam and the team’s hospitality skills deserve a 5* rating at this beautiful venue with the most incredible food and drinks pairing. I wish I had a bigger belly to try the whole menu. Portions are super generous and tastes of the food and cocktails were superb. I will definitely order the same dishes again and recommend to friends and family. I can’t wait to try their new afternoon tea menu and “The Bank” tea blend.

The most wonderful experience. Every detail of this place is exquisite. The gorgeous lavish and tasteful interior respects the history of the building whilst creating a luxury atmosphere. The service was exceptional also, every staff member was friendly, welcoming and professional. Anupam was an especially brilliant host. And last but not least the food was sublime!!! The broccoli starter, the lamb chops, the samosas, all were sensational and I left with my taste buds tingling with joy! Highly recommend.

First time at the Bank for a New Years set menu Event. Really good night . Premises looks very classy, food was amazing especially the tandoori Lobster! Staff were really attentive and made us feel welcome. They certainly made a good impression especially to ANU who looked after us all night. Very attentive, explained all the courses and was the ultimate professional. Thanks to ANU for making us feel welcome and make the evening one of the best New Year's for a long time.

I recently visited this restaurant and had such a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm, and everything felt well organized. A special shout-out to Rahulwho works here,they were kind, attentive, and made the whole visit even better. It’s clear they care about the guests and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a place with great service and tasty dishes, this is definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back and support the team again!

I took my mum for the Chai (Afternoon tea); we both loved it, the food was beautifully presented, the waiters explained what was every item as it is an Indian version, we were offered a huge variety of teas, all delicious and served in good looking tea pots. The restaurant itself looks elegant and it’s enormous. All the staff was great but specially Rahul was really kind and smiley

Our first visit to The Bank (following many local recommendations) didn't disappoint. Yes, it's quite pricey, but the quality of the food and service is excellent. We were well looked after by the super-friendly and helpful Kul. Would definitely recommend for an occasion. It's a beautiful venue.

Delicious fresh dishes for our dinner party. The staff made a very big effort to accommodate our larger group both with any dietary requirements and all special requests for making my dad's 75th birthday dinner a very special one. Nothing was too much and Bella and her team made the dinner a memorable one. Thank you and we will visit again soon.

This is my second time at The Bank and i loved it so much the first time that i had to come here again! The ambience of the restaurant is perfect. The service we received was excellent. 10/10 Rahul took care of our table, and ensured our glasses were full, food was on our plates and that we were satisfied with it all. I highly recommend The Bank and I for sure will be coming back again.

Had an incredible evening at The Bank last night. We had a private party there for a special birthday and had hired the whole venue. The attention to detail on all aspects was incredible! The interior is very stylish and extremely tasteful! Food was endless and the taste was amazing! The flavours were just right not overpowering at all! The staff especially Anupam the manager, Arbaz the events manager and Bella were on hand throughout and were very attentive and made sure everything was on point! All the bar staff and other staff were also incredible. Service with a smile throughout! The Bank did not disappoint at all. I will def be back for dinner and it will also be my first choice for the next private party!! Thank you for making the night unforgettable!!

I took my partner here for his 50th and we had such a wonderful time. The service was exceptional as was the food. I'm dairy-free, and when I ordered incorrectly, they were sure to highlight this. The chef even offered to make the food for me without dairy, even though this wasn't an option on the menu. They couldn't have been more accommodating. The ambience was perfect. Chilled music, a nice level of buzz, but we could easily talk. The decor is incredible and the bathrooms were immaculate. This isn't just the best restaurant in Chorleywood, but possibly in Hertfordshire. The standards are of a high-end West End restaurant but with the humility and comfort of being in the countryside. What a find! This was our first visit, but we will definitely be returning. Thank you to Kul and all the staff for making this such a special evening for us.

The food here is absolutely the best I've ever had every dish is bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The service is outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Just amazingly delicious!! There were PAGES of vegetarian delights. A delectable, pleasure filled experience. All of the staff are attentive; heedful of every patron. We had an excellent Indian meal at The Bank. The service was first class. A great selection of food and drinks. All the staff were very attentive. Particular mention to Rahul. I would certainly recommend if you like an upmarket Indian meal. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

My husband and I had an incredible experience at the Bank this evening. He surprised me with a night out and we were not disappointed. Bella gave us amazing recommendations… The lamb chops were tender and beautifully Seasoned, as were the chicken wings, mushrooms, and most especially the king prawns… naan was perfectly made—And the chutneys and sauces were so different and fresh. We finished with two delicious Homemade desserts! We were well cared for the entire evening —Rahul made sure every attention was given us. We will definitely be back as it is only a 15 minute drive from Gerrard‘s Cross. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Had a brilliant experience at The Bank. Amazing food, fantastic cocktails and superb service. The place itself used to be a Bank and the owners vision has brought this historic site back to life. I rarely go to Indian restaurants, finding them to be mediocre at best and a generally dissatisfying experience. We heard good things about The Bank so decided to try it. It’s certainly a very impressive building with the feel of an upmarket restaurant. The food was excellent, certainly the best Indian food I have consumed for many years. There is no comparison to the other local Indians, it is in a whole different league. The service was excellent. The lady at the front of house was a natural communicator and went out of her way to please. Likewise our server Kol was really helpful and accommodating. Yes, it costs more than your standard Indian but this is a whole different level and I considered it to be very reasonable. Most certainly will be returning to The Bank.

What an experience! Our first time at The Bank for my husband's birthday meal and it was by far the best decision we made. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by lovely staff. As we were slightly early we sat upstairs in the cocktail bar, once ready we came downstairs to sit for our meal. Just been to The Bank for Birthday celebrations. The food was lovely and delicious. The portion sizes were just right. The staff, Rahul in particular were friendly and very accommodating. My daughter found a dish a bit spicy but they went out of their way to help and make sure she still enjoyed her meal. Would definitely recommend to others.

A lot of money has been spent very wisely on this old bank building and looks great. The hospitality of the staff is excellent although a little less talking between them behind the bar and watching the customers wouldn't come a miss! However, the food is the main reason you go to a restaurant and those that follow me know that I say it as I find it. I was here at the suggestion of a friend who had it recommended by a neighbour and although I was paying, it was rather embarrassing for me to complain at the time, which I would normally have done to give management the opportunity to respond. The good news was that my wife and our guest thoroughly enjoyed their chosen dishes albeit the dishes were very large and would only have a main course next time. For myself, I ordered my onion bhaji to be crisp which it was but because it was cooked very quickly at high heat, it wasn't actually cooked in the middle! My next dish was a lamb biryani which I would normally expect to be served in two separate dishes but in an effort to have a different presentation, it was served all together in one dish with a pomegranate and onion raita served in the side. The result made it very difficult to serve myself onto my plate without spilling it on the way on the table and the very good lamb was very dry. The flavour, however, was excellent. This was very close to being very good but.......... Hence only 4 stars.

It’s clear the restaurant aspires to a fine dining experience, though I feel it hasn’t fully reached that level just yet. For example, the chilli paneer dish featured just seven pieces of paneer and was priced at £13. While the flavours were enjoyable, the portion felt disproportionate to the cost. That said, this isn’t meant as a negative review—I genuinely enjoyed the experience. With a few refinements to the food, this place has the potential to become a real gem.

Lovely atmosphere, good food and really good cocktails. Great bar man also who made cocktails for me on thr fly. Sign of a great bar who can make you off the menu drinks according to your preference Only downside were the seekh kebabs. They were ok, I've not been to any restaurant which h as done a good one yet.
