10/10 best egg and cheese around! shoutout to Marc for killing it on drinks and Gabe for killing it in the kitchen
Cool cafe to work in or study. Plays great music and has a select amount of coffees, bagels and doughnuts. They also offer a punch card so you get something free after 10 punches! They have a really cool “ghost nook” with a cute background.
Our favorite place in Ridgewood/Bushwick!!! You need to try Roasted bush bagel - pure perfection. The atmosphere is great, you can come and drink coffee with friends or just take a laptop and do your things. 5+
yo prince and mark were amazing they were swamped but still got my stuff lickity split :^] great crew great atmosphere love the white brick
Love this cafe! This staff are so personable and quick, really sweet and great coffee. Best dirty chai I've found since Little Skips closed (RIP)
A tall barista with curly hair is very efficient and professional! My iced cortado was on point. I'll be back!
Love love love this cafe!!! Mark always makes my coffee perfectly and it’s always the highlight of my week coming in and seeing he’s working!
Food here is pleasant, I get the seneca sando. Staff is very nice. Coffee is good. Only thing is they give some dookie straw. Just give me a regular straw brah.
Very cool atmosphere (literally, they have ac!), good coffee, fast wifi, friendly staff! Only reason to not recommend would be to keep the spot under the radar, which I am not smart enough to do.
Great coffee, staff is awesome. I love to come here, order some coffee and work on my laptop. Nice place to get some work done.
Love this spot, Marc is the sweetest and the matcha is delicious. Always make it a point to come here before work!! Cute book section too :)
I've been her several times and still go back. The coffee is good 'n' strong and space is comfortable. It's actually the size of a coffee shop in the mid-west, so big for New York standards. They stock those delicious god-made Dough doughnuts as well as some other tasty looking pastries, but mostly I come for the chill vibe and solid coffee.
The atmosphere is very chill, the service is great especially when Gabe is on the clock! I don’t know a better coffee shop! His customer service is outstanding.A Great dude! Very friendly and accommodating And is the reason why I love coming here. Thanks Gabe!
Gabe's deconstructed breakfast burrito breakfast plate - which he whipped up to accommodate dietary restrictions - is killer. Thanks Gabe!
Been coming here since 2021 and I still keep coming back. Food is great, coffee is fantastic. Louis and mark are super nice and always try to remember my name and order!
Milk & Pull in Ridgewood is a great place to grab coffee and get some work done; shout out to Mark, Prince, and the rest of the gang for good vibes and fast service.
They make such good bagel/coffee and are always so kind and quick. I wish that there weren't so many people on laptops here, but that is out of their control.
Love the bagel sandwiches and drinks. Amaze cold brew. Nice to sit in or take out or sit outside when it's not cold. Good neighborhood vibe. Ppl saying the staff is rude.... just tip them well:)
I’m still dreaming about the Iced Dirty chai with oat milk I had the other day with a salted caramel brownie. Every sip and every bite was amazing as the first taste! A very memorable coffee shop experience. So delicious.
Great place to freelance, eat, and enjoy coffee or tea. Relaxed atmosphere and staff are really nice. Try their bagel sandwiches, or amazing doughnuts & pastries from Dough. If you come to do work, make sure to grab a table in the back to have access to the outlets.
Favorite neighborhood coffee shop. There is always a seat, they are quick drink-makers and even though they don't always remember my name they acknowledge that I come in frequently which I appreciate. Great oatmilk latte. WiFi is strong too.
Adore this place! The staff are incredible and create a proper community feeling. Drinks and food are on point & it hits the perfect blend of hanging cafe + working cafe. Grateful for this one.
This has become one of my favorite coffee shops in the neighborhood. The coffee is always good and they recently expanded the menu to include egg breakfast dishes. The staff is so kind, especially Mark, who is quick with a smile and a recommendation for new beverages or treats. Oh, and the Wi-Fi is good. 5/5
My daily coffee spot! This is fully due to the baristas, especially Marc, who always seems to make the perfect cappuccino and makes sure to bring a friendly energy to every chat. Even when it’s super busy, there’s always a specific attention to detail that i’m not used to at other coffee shops and is the reason I’ll keep coming back. Big thanks always to Marc and the rest of the team! ♥️
I absolutely love this place! I make it a point to go after the gym every time, and I've been coming here for the past two years. The atmosphere is incredible, and the staff are truly amazing. Everyone is so friendly, and the hardworking vibe combined with the calm ambiance makes it a standout experience. A special shoutout to Mark and Mekhi for going above and beyond!
I honestly never loved sitting in a coffee shop aa muchuntil I went to Milk & Pull, and now I keep coming back almost every day! The atmosphere is so nice, they have the best coffee, and of course, the BEST BEST people work there. It’s so nice to walk in and say hi to them—they even remember my coffee order! They also have some great vegan options; the tahini chocolate chip cookie is so good! Love this place! Highly recommend :)
Milk & Pull has been my favorite coffee shop since moving to Ridgewood! The staff is super dope and friendly, the music and ambience is a vibe, and the coffee and pastries slap! The ONLY thing I wish they had was soy milk :) #soi
Milk and Pull is the best coffee shop in Ridgewood. I almost don’t want to write this because I don’t want it to get too crowded. But it is awesome. The drip coffee is really really good and if you get it in the mug it’s even better. The best part is the baristas and sandwich makers. They are so cool, nice and quick. Going to list my favs but probably missing some: Marc, Prince, Makai, & last but not least (or maybe least) Gabe.
One of the best coffee shops to sit, chill, snack in the neighborhood. Staff is cool, feel welcome there as a POC. Just want the evening hours back, closes so early in the winter (4pm).
I love this coffee shop. The environment is relaxing, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Especially Mark, who always remembers my order and has it ready for me basically as soon as I walk in the door. Would give 6 stars in I could 👌
The best seasonal matcha drink I’ve ever had, in my entire life! It had some sort of red jam as well (either strawberry or hibiscus). Couldn’t tell you, but delicious. Thanks to the waiter who recommended it ;) I feel that it can get loud inside as people chat, so I am always surprised that people are simultaneously doing work on laptops too. Couldn’t be me, but I suppose it’s a good work space too if you don’t care for noise level.
Lovely neighborhood spot. Been coming here regularly for almost 2 years with my partner who lives around the corner. Staff is always very helpful and hospitable. Nice atmosphere, good vibes, consistently great coffee.
Absolutely love my experiences that I’ve had at Milk & Pull. Marc, and Kai are always so kind and helpful! Marc recommended the everything on everything bagel which was incredible! I highly recommend Milk & Pull in Ridgewood. It’s my favorite spot :) <3
My favorite cafe EVER!!!!!!! The team is absolutely my fav and soooo sweet to me and my friends! My fav drink is a chai tea. I will say I wish and remain hopeful that the cafe has later hours in 2025, I know for a fact it will be just as filled as the morning and early afternoon and if not ILL BE THERE 😭🤣 thank you for a safe and great place to work, create and bond with those I love. See you again!
Marc, Prince and Mekhi are great baristas! The atmosphere is cool and I really like the bagels they make. I come here all the time and am never disappointed.
super friendly staff. water, ice, the whole works. that's more than you can ask for in NY where people don't always want to help out with the simple things. great atmosphere here. great prices, too. i'll definitely be coming back here. i want to tell you the best seat in the building to get work done, but i don't want everyone taking my coveted spot : )
Louie was absolutely amazing his customer service was outstanding and the Avocado Toast was so delish! I also tried the strawberry matcha latte today and wowwwww was that a treat! Thank you guys at Milk and Pull you never cease to Amaze me!
This is my favorite neighborhood spot! Best matcha I've ever had and all the baristas are so on top of it every time. 10/10 service!! I have also loved that they have vegan cream cheese because not many places take care of the vegans like that! BUT I'm so disappointed to learn that the vegan tofu cream cheese isn't being ordered any more. So, sadly, I may have to find another favorite local spot. If the owner is reading this please order the vegan cream cheese!!
The seasonal Mexican hot chocolate and the breakfast burrito were delicious, 10/10 no notes. Staff were polite and helpful. My only gripe is the instability of the table I was sat at - IKEA outdoor furniture on a slightly slanted floor, but it’s easy to just pick a different table. Loved the vibes overall, will be back!
Marc is an amazing barista and took such great care of us <3 super smooth beans and stellar micro foam. Come for the natural lighting and stay for the great service!
We love this location! Marc is the absolutely best — he makes the best coffees AND absolutely insane sandwiches/food. Great atmosphere, super chill but welcoming ☺️
The staff here are great. Both Mark and Olive both remember my order and get it ready as soon as they sees me walking by, and I know I'm far from the only regular whose order they knows. It's always a pleasure to pop in and chat with the staff. They're always so great 😃. I love that they have outdoor seating as well.
Love milk and pull. It’s the best coffeeshop in Ridgewood. Amazing coffee and food. The baristas are all super friendly and quick. They’ll remember your order if you’re a regular. The food is really good. Gabe was able to accommodate my dietary restrictions as someone who is gluten free making this awesome breakfast plate. Eggs were perfectly cooked.
I come here every Sunday to sit and read the Times and the vibes are immaculate. The staff is friendly and exceptionally fashionable. The food is excellent—you HAVE to try and chili scramble—and they make the only dry cappuccino worth drinking. They’ve recently rearranged the furniture to really take advantage of their bright, open space. 10/10
Walked a while to get here while my car was getting serviced in Middle Village. Milk & Pull did not disappoint. It was early on a Wednesday morning and my pup and I sat outside in the shade and it was so lovely. All the staff inside were helpful, got me water for my pup, gave me suggestions on pastries, and were so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Cute quiet spot in Ridgewood with friendly staff. Went for our morning coffee with baby and the place is spacious enough for a stroller to not be in the way. There's no ramp so we had to lift the stroller (not ADA compliant unless they have a portable ramp inside, will have to ask.) Hubby had the Borough Park bagel and I had the almond croissant. Food is good, coffee is decent. Iced Mocha Latte was very yummy. They have a small free library/ book exchange and participate in the Too Good To Go program.
Nice hip coffee spot. Staff is pretty open and attentive. Great selection of sandwiches and entrees as well as pastries.
Food and drinks are a bit on the pricey side but everything is made with care and has quality ingredients. The staff is mostly polite but I came across one really rude barista, who acted like she should be worshipped for serving coffee to Ridgewood peasants.
Really nice neighborhood coffee shop. Lots of laptop workers during the week. They have several vegan baked goods (cookies and muffins when I was there). My only gripe is that they use Pacifica soy milk which imho is the worst plant milk out there. The taste is super weird when made as an espresso drink. Still, I love the atmosphere and vibe so I'll definitely come back, just for a regular coffee.
Great place to get some work done, lots of seating, good coffee and welcoming environment. Only drawback is there are no outlets so if you have a laptop battery issue it won't be a great option.
Great little cafe that founds it's way into Ridgewood, a town that has changed significantly in the past 3 - 5 years. The coffee art is pretty and you get a big cup of coffee filled to the rim. Almost afraid to spill walking back to my seat. The donuts and other breakfast treats are a good compliment. Get that sugar rush and help keep you awake for a better part to start your day.
Such a good spot. Super friendly and chill staff, good food, good drinks, awesome local vibe. BUT.. you close at 4 😑 why? Stay open later!
As a resident of Ridgewood, I've been looking for a local coffee shop that has excellent coffee as well as an enjoyable atmosphere where you want to spend your afternoon. I am thrilled that Milk & Pull opened a second location nearby. They have a warm industrial space with great sunlight and lots of open room. Free wifi and tables make it double as a working space if needed. Tip: pastry goodies don't get replenished, so get there early. As a bonus, they have an assortment of milk alternatives for those seeking non dairy options.
Love Milk & Pull! This was my first time being to (and even knowing) about this location. Great and quick service and coffee. I wish my lox was a little softer/fresher and had more cream cheese but overall yummy. My main complaint would be that it’s a little run down and disheveled. Like the walls are scraped up and the front isn’t quite as tidy as I remember the other location being. But regardless I’m sure I’ll be back so long as I can secure a place to sit!
Excellent matcha and coffee! Baristas are quick and attentive. On the pricier side tho & I would sooner go to other places for food
Local place with laid back neighborhood vibe and terrific coffee and hot grill items like a yummy Breakfast Burrito. The Everything on Everything bagel is also a favorite. Polite and friendly service with a smile.
5 star customer service and cute little spot. However, it would be nice if they had on their page that food stops being served at 3pm, a full two hours before close.
coffee good. bagels are good. they're always out of something tho in the kitchen so not the most reliable for breakfast. but they have the best staff ever so who cares 🫣
I've been coming to this location since 2017 and the baristas are phenomenal. Every single one over the years has been incredibly interesting, engaged, and very kind. I have made friends here, discovered cool events, given one of the barista's two kittens I was fostering, written songs, and read books on every chair configuration this coffee shop has to offer. The ONLY issue I have with this place is that they don't consistently offer TOFU CREAM CHEESE, and it's a crying shame. If you get there at 8am or 4pm, it doesn't matter - they won't have it. Hungover? Starving? In a New York hurry? They still won't have it. But on a random Tuesday when you're not really hungry, they'll have one more serving - and then it's gone. Unfortunately I have stopped coming as frequently because I cannot count on being able to eat. Whatever Deity is reading this, but hopefully the Owner, please stock Vegan cream cheese, Vitelio's is right up the street if you run out! Help me google reviews, you're my only hope. Sincerely, A Milk & Pull Enthusiast
Been here a bunch, but every time I get the Everything in Everything, it feels like they’re putting less ingredients on it. This time they put 2 gallops of cream cheese and a significantly smaller amount of the other ingredients. Had to scrape off a wasteful amount of cream cheese. Hoping this was a one off thing cause it’s been good in the past
I didn't really get any kind of vibe here. The huge donuts are good. The downside, no outlets. Also, the internet isn't that fast. It's not slow, but it's not fast. The staff is really friendly though.
Staff was so friendly and food was good. Only complaint is no outlets and too hot in the store. I sat by the door, the staff had to keep opening and closing it because it was really hot.
Small menu selection, there is only one outlet so be aware when planning to work on your laptop. Other than that, great hipster looking coffee shop!
Lovely coffee & cool atmosphere but EVERYTHING is so wasteful 😞 also pretty expensive too. It’s all served in takeout cups even if you’re eating / drinking in, plastic cutlery, plastic everything. I wouldn’t recommend purely because of the wasteful nature unless you bring your own takeout cup for coffee.
The coffee we got was great and strong. However we went around 3:20pm on a Saturday and their kitchen was closed so all we can eat was the loafs and scones they had. Meanwhile, they don't close till 4 and we just wanted bagel sandwiches. The cheese scone and pumpkin loaf were alright. The environment was very quiet so it didn't work well for our mini coffee date cause we felt like we were the only ones talking. But it was a great spot for everyone else that was on their laptops working.
I’ve been coming here since 2018. The price of things are so high now that the ratio between ingredients and selling price is close to 100%. A turkey bagel with avocado and tomato is not 13 dollars. This is absolutely insane. Please help me understand how the prices doubled while the price of ingredients did not.
Snotty barista, par for the course. At least the coffee was good.
Came early in the day, was the only customer when I entered. ordered a flat white and bagel with cream cheese. There were two servers and the man let the woman do it (which felt as a practice) and she screwed up and had to remake them. Proportion was still off and taste watery. I wished it was better because my friends spoke so highly of this place. Since I am paying full price, please do not use my order as a time to practice. I gave it a three because the pastry was good and they are not as bad for service (its NYC, I see)
Just OK. Got the Borough Park bagel (thought the name was cute,) and some turkey bagel. Would loved to not have a thick, jawbreaking piece of beefsteak tomato. Pickled onions aren’t amazing, but fine. Chai was OK, hot chocolate was awful. Overall, not a memorable experience in any way. Nothing about this shop stands out. What really hurts it is the cold demeanor of the baristas. Most baristas are easy to get along with, and I know the job is probably not easy. Something is afoot here. Cannot imagine the managers are putting their best foot forward. Needs to be revisioned.
The coffeeshop is kinda cool, a little underwhelming to be exact. I expect a bit more. It’s a really chill place to hang out and get work done but I wasn’t a fan of the overall vibe. The pricing was a little high though, at least I thought so and the coffee wasn’t the greatest but it was still okay. Free Parking is available around the corners. I wish the customer service was a but better. Not all the baristas cared very much for the customers. Some of them were a little condescending and rude. My overall experience here was maybe a 5 out 10.
I come here almost every day and I’m really disappointed with the way I was spoken to today. I came in to get a bagel at 2 when they close at 4 (their kitchen closes an hour early, I know, annoying but whatever, but I was still in time) and when I ordered the girl behind the counter cut me off and said, in a super rude tone of voice, “no. kitchen’s closed.” I was really confused and looked at the clock on my phone and started to say, “don’t you usually…” but she just cut me off and snapped “we ran out of food. YEAH.” And just rolled her eyes and glared at me. I don’t know if the way I’m explaining it does it justice, and I get having a rough day if you were busy, but I just did not expect to be spoken to that way, especially by someone who sees my face almost every single day. I don’t know. I love their food and coffee but I don’t want to subject myself to that again so I probably won’t come back, which is super disappointing.
Found staff rude -- the barista rolled eyes when I asked her to heat up my lukewarm coffee as if it was an imposition. Then, as I was leaving (literally had my hand on the doorknob and was pushing the door open), I dropped my mask for 2 seconds to sip the replacement coffee to see if it was warm enough and she shouted with an attitude "No drinking coffee in here!!!". Not only was the comment out of place since I was clearly exiting the establishment, it was said in a rude way which was uncalled for. Additionally, I find it uncool to put people on the spot by announcing loudly, when you go to pay, "Will you be adding a tip onto your card today?". Get a tip jar and let people tip at their discretion. Don't guilt-trip them into it by posing a direct question. Will not be going back. Better off supporting the old school mom and pop shops that make Ridgewood charming.
Not sure why they’re open until 5pm if their kitchen closes by 1pm. Front desk girl was a bit rude since we misunderstood her that the kitchen was closed. Don’t recommend this place to anyone. You’re better off going to TOPOs to grab a coffee and a scone.
Great location but VERY rude staff who make you feel unwelcome and like you are a bother for being there. Coffee could be good if baristas took the time to pull proper espresso shots, but they just rush through it and don’t care. Even their cold brew is bad. For how expensive their coffee is, it’s not worth it at all. Plenty of other coffee shops around who take their time to make good coffee for the same or cheaper price and are KIND. Food is extremely average, bagels are not good at all and they run out half the time. Again, there are so many better options in the area - don’t recommend for anything other than a drip coffee and to sit and get some work done.
Mediocre coffee at a premium price. Add in a dash of hipster attitude
The vibe of this place has really changed. Super loud thumping music with lots of f-bombs, to the point one employee kept changing tracks when people with kids came in. This happened on two recent weekend visits. I don’t think they want people chilling there anymore. I used to spend an afternoon getting multiple drinks, reading, meeting friends. now I get one to-go if I visit at all. Just doesn’t feel relaxing. Coffee itself is still good.
Wasn't that impressed but I'll give them a small pass that we're in the middle of COVID so ambience was limited to 2 small tables next to the neighbors trashcans. Not sure why they weren't in the front where there is more space? Regardless, everything was too expensive for what it was, the Borough Park was mediocre. The cold brew with oat milk was weak and watery. Total was $14. Not cool folks. And definitely not cool served with a side of snobby attitude. Also, were out of Donuts by 10:30. I might be back to give it a fair chance post COVID... MAYBE. Disappointing.
No plugs to plug in laptop or phone. Coffee is ok, nothing to write home about. Plenty of space to sit and work if you need to. Staff was ok, not bad or rude. Honestly, for the price I paid I could pay less and get the same quality at a Bodega, and no plugs... ugh or at least I couldn't find one.
I used to really love this coffee shop when it first opened. They had the best egg salad sandwich! Unfortunately, it’s no longer on their menu. :( But as the neighborhood became more gentrified, the prices skyrocketed. Now, even a simple and basic latte feels overpriced. It’s also worth noting that it gets quite busy, especially from morning to early afternoon, so be prepared for a line.
Make sure you ask if they have all the ingredients for your drink before you order. I ordered their seasonal orange espresso tonic. When I received it, I asked the barista where the orange was. She said they "ran out" and that was that. Never would have ordered it or paid $8 if I had known the key ingredient wasn't available. The barista really should have mentioned before I paid to confirm if I wanted the drink, or offered a discount or something. Also, the drink was only 90% full. I should have asked for a refund, but the barista was already giving an "I don't care" attitude, so I didn't want to create conflict. 2 stars because the atmosphere is nice with lots of seating. Be aware they don't allow laptops at all times at all tables.
On a positive note, the bagels are tasty. For me it’s the lack of customer service that bugs me. None of the workers smile at you or are particularly warm to you when you walk in. I usually exhibit better customer service skills than them (smiling, asking how are you) while they seem blatantly inconvenienced by you ordering something. I’ll never forget last year I ordered one of their pricey sandwiches and the person just slammed down the sandwich on the counter without even saying anything. I asked “is this mine..?” And the person, annoyed, simply said “yup.” I should have just got a refund then and there but I was hungry and in a rush. I haven’t seen said worker there since, but it’s left a sour taste in my mouth every time I come back. There are more affordable places in the area with kinder staff. Just saying xo
I don’t like writing bad reviews but the staff here are passive aggressive and always out of bagels. There are other coffee and bagel shops in the area that provide a better service.
Tall curly haired boy with a HORRIBLE attitude tried to charge me 10$ for my regular 7$ latte I been getting for the last 8 years. (Which is already expensive) Guess it’s back to TOPOS where they charge $4.75👏👏👏
Single worst matcha I've ever had.
super strange experience today, went in to get a bagel and the curly headed cashier had an attitude that i was making him do something he didn’t want to do, charged me 7$ for a bagel with cream cheese and didn’t toast the bagel just gave it to me dry and cold with a lame smirk, while his coworker awkwardly and loudly argued with the customer behind me about coming into the shop late in the afternoon…? really bad vibe won’t be coming back
Staff were unbelievably rude it was almost funny. Like straight up rolling eyes and dirty looks…..horrible unwelcoming vibes and mid food.
