I have been ordering food from here since I was younger! Not sure when they opened but way before their renovation! I know Ridgewood has a couple of Dominican resultants nearby & there’s another location in Brooklyn but this is my favorite go to! It also was walking distance from when I use to live in Ridgewood. Their lunch special are now $8 or $9 which is still pretty good cause they also stack your plate with food! The never slack with giving plenty of food in your plates! I’ve always been a big fan of their pernil, rotisserie chicken, arroz con gandules(yellow rice with pigeon peas, beans, & chicharron de pollo sin jueso. I use to get their chicken soup but then it got a little too greasy for me. Even their vegetables are good lol. Their staff is always ready to help and serve and their restaurant is always clean. They’re always changing the trays so thats how you know when food is fresh and not sitting out all day. Not sure for how long they’ve been letting customers pay with card but that has come in handy! They use to only accept cash years ago and there’s an atm there but I know many people who don’t like that extra atm charge! I will always recommend this restaurant for anyone who is living in Ridgewood and need a fulfilling dish!

The best around. Lovely people lovely food. Gets pretty packed but you won’t wait longer than 10 minutes. Great variety on the weekends. One $10 plate is easily more than 1 meal even after an intense workout at blink next door.

Best Latin food ever tasted! Good service. Eat in area is small, so don't expect to eat in during prime hours. Conviently priced. Recommended by my aunt who lives in Kew gardens. I have found my favorite place to eat when I am in town. Goodbye (MI CASA).

Rude people and even more mid food, not the tea nor the chile, no shade though. Good cans of soda.

I am a registered nurse and after a long exhausting day at work I stopped here around 7:50 pm to grab a simple meal. I ordered a half baked chicken with white rice and beans because I was craving good fresh chicken. What I received was extremely disappointing. The chicken was incredibly dry hard and almost impossible to bite into. This was not slightly overcooked. It was clearly old and had been sitting too long. There were several chickens still in the warmer and anyone cutting and serving it could see immediately that it was not good enough to give to a customer. By the time I got home and opened the container I was shocked. The chicken looked terrible and tasted worse. Dry tough and flavorless. The entire reason I came here was for good baked chicken and instead I was served something that should never have left the counter. When you are serving food that late you still have a responsibility to serve quality or to say it is no longer fresh. I would have preferred honesty over being given food that was clearly past its prime. Imagine having to spend $15 and then you get home to unwind and encounter this? Very disappointed and I will think twice before referring anyone.

The fried chicken was burnt, dry and the pieces were super small. You could tell it was fried in really old grease and was from the day before. It was probably some of the worst fried chicken I've ever had. The rice and beans were good. Overall, I would not recommend.
